Damien's heart pulsed angerly in his ears, saturated with adrenaline. Bony hands trembled nervously, emotions fueled by the deafening crowd's hunger for action. Damien had told himself hundreds of times that he would be fine - it was only the first gym. He'd trained long and hard; he deserved a win. However, the trainer was far past the point where anything could calm his nerves.
The young man took his place at one end of the arena, normally glistening amethyst eyes duller than lead. Sweat beaded on his forehead, and clammy hands could barely grasp a poke ball. Damien ran his hand through bold green hair in an attempt to dislodge it from neck and face, but only made the locks sweatier than before.
I can do this. I can. I believe they can do it.
The statement was in thought vain, for it couldn't help pierce the iron skin nervousness had created around his common sense. Damien took a gargantuan breath, one so big that it began to hurt his throat. Maybe he couldn't bring himself to believe he had a chance in hell at beating Haru, but he made it through Route One twice. He was here, in Ile Electrique.
This green-headed trainer was not about to back down. Because on the inside, not even the coldest rains could smother the fires of competition that blazed in his heart.
"Bring it on."

Haru had been pep talking his Pokemon when the trainer had arrived. He stood up with a huge grin on his face. "Hey! Ready to go?" He had just finished with his Pokemon, and now he was ready to take anything on. His Pokemon were the best, and he knew it. "All right. It'll be a two-on-two battle, if you don't mind," he said. Haru threw two Pokeballs into the air and smiled at Damien.
As soon as the two Pokeballs opened, Thunder and Lightning appeared. Thunder appeared more muscular, although both were rather small looking. Kind of frail too. They were a Plusle and Minun, and they were both pumped and ready to go. <Come on, big guy. We can win you!> Lightning challenged Damien, looking rather determined. She jumped around happily as Thunder took on a more mature and serious position as a boy. He felt it was his duty, after all.
"Great guys!" Haru shouted, clapping his hands once to let them know they were on to business. "You first, trainer!" He didn't know the boy's name. After all, he wasn't supposed to know everyone he battled, was he? Well if he was, he hadn't remembered or asked for any of the trainers' names. And he wasn't planning to start any time soon.

The Gym Leader seemed to have the same effect as an amplifier, for the minute he placed one foot inside the arena, the crowd's volume shot up a hundred decibels. Damien clasped his hands over both ears, waiting out with great ennui Haru's dramatic entrance. He watched with uncharacteristically apathetic eyes as the Leader reaped the benefits of his position.
"All right. It'll be a two-on-two battle, if you don't mind," Haru began nonchalantly, a challenging look prevalent in his own eyes.
Damien nodded, confidence slowly coming back; as slowly as honey pours out of a jar. The adrenaline that reigned supreme in his bloodstream began to help more than hurt. The trainer flashed a crooked grin at the two Electric-types that erupted from a sea of red light - Haru's Minun and Plusle combination. Upon closer examination, they were not as intimidating. Damien wondered if the Leader ran on hype as well as talent. He snapped two of his own gleaming red and white Poke balls and tossed them up into the air. From the mechanisms came both a Cubone and a Dratini.
"Do your worst," he dared. "Hibiki, Bone Club! Kasis, Slam!"
He had the advantage now. The grin grew wider with realization; Hibiki possessed the ability Lightningrod, drawing all Electric type attacks to it. Being a Ground-type, none would affect her. Damien had limited the Leader to his alternate attacks, because normally, Haru was an Electric based battler.

Haru smirked at the trainer. He seemed so confident with himself, but Haru had done a million battles. He had stopped being confident a long time ago and had since become cocky. Maybe that put him in a bad position, but he didn't care.
"Oh, I will," he muttered to himself in reply to Damien's challenge. His smirk faded into a slight frown when he saw the Cubone, but he had other ways with dealing with Pokemon. . . He could just work on taking out the Dratini, then focus on the ground Pokemon.
The battle had started. He watched the Cubone run at his Pokemon with the little bone held high and the Dratini throw itself at his Pokemon, but there was no way his Pokemon were going to get hit on the first move! What kind of a Gym leader would he be?
Thunder and Lightning parted and the Bone Club attack missed. Because they had been standing next to each other, the Dratini missed his Slam attack. the Plusle and Minun giggled in unision.
"Thunder, use Spark on that Dratini! Lightning, use Quick Attack on the Cubone!" Haru demanded, his smirk returning. There would be no problem. . . Of course, he did not know about the Cubone's ability. . .
Thunder smiled slyly and sparks started to fly from his cheeks. The sparks surrounded him, then he ran at the Dratini, stopping short and making the sparks continue forward due to inertia at the little blue, snake-like Pokemon. "Min-uh-mi!" he cried.
Lightning faced the Cubone, then dashed toward her. The speed from the Quick Attack made the Plusle look like nothing more than a blur, a white light streaking out behind her as she moved to crash into the Ground-Type Pokemon.

Peace of mind was indefinitely unobtainable, for now a competitive spirit raged like wildfire within both competitors, stopping at nothing to get what it wanted; victory. Damien's patent zeal for battle could not be matched, but Haru seemed to have come close. It made up somewhat for his utter lack of experience compared to the adversary, whose pride in such stuck out like a sore thumb.
"Will you?" Was the spiteful response. The pair of Pokémon he was up against seemed like mockery; what male Gym Leader chose furry rabbits as his comrades? The former notions were quickly erased from Damien's thoughts when the two commenced attacking.
The commands were shouted and already the Pokémon fought as if they were in a grudge match against an old nemesis. Both Kasis and Hibiki's attacks were dodged, but Damien expected such. They hadn't fought Pokémon of this caliber prior to this battle. Minun and Plusle giggled, as if to egg on the competition. Little did they know that Damien's two Pokémon present on the field were virtually immune to taunts.
Like their name suggested, the Electric pair was fast. They darted forward so quickly it was all a blur of cream fur and flying sparks. Hibiki, being of the Ground type, was unable to dodge the Quick Attack, and stumbled backwards. The Minun followed suit, aiming not for the Cubone, but Dratini. Suddenly, however, the sparks that were being emitted from Thunder's blue cheeks shot towards Hibiki, and were then absorbed by her bone-clad figure.
Damien mirrored Haru's smirk. "Not so sharp now, are you? Hibiki, Bone Club again while Lightning's near you! Kasis, Wrap Thunder!"
The pair bounded forward towards their assigned targets, signaling they understood their commands with little more than a nod of the head. Kasis slithered towards the Plusle, amber eyes narrowed in concentration; Hibiki sprinted, bone above head, right at the Minun.

All three of Damien's opponents were too stunned by the sudden change in direction the Spark attack had taken. Haru was at a loss for words, his smirk gone and his mouth agape with the surprise he felt. What just happened? he thought.
The Plusle was far too bewildered to react to the Bone Club. She stared at the Dratini. Had it used some sort of magic to direct the Spark attack at his immune comrade? Or was it some sort of witchery that the Cubone had used to draw the attack toward her? Oh, he was all sorts of confused!
Thwack!
Lightning took the Bone Club right on top of his head. She gave a shriek of pain and stumbled backwards, lifting her paws to her head and cringing in pain. The Ground attack had definitely done some major damage.
Thunder was just as bewildered. His Spark attack had been headed right for the Dratini! Right for him! Why should it have missed? How could it have missed? It had been sucked toward the Cubone like the little skull-wearing Pokemon was a black hole or something!
Then suddenly the Dratini was flying at him. That snapped Thunder out of his reverie. He squealed and attempted zip out of the way, but it was too late for him; the Dratini Wrapped his slender body around the little rabbit-like Pokemon and squeazed.
Haru closed his mouth and narrowed his eyes. He remembered now what was going on; it was Cubone's ability Lightning Rod. It made all Electric attacks gravitate toward the Ground Pokemon. That was going to be a little tougher, but he just switched up his strategy.
"Alright, you two, get a hold of yourselves. It's time to show this trainer what a Gym battle is really like! Thunder, Spark it up and get rid of that Dratini. Lightning, Quick Attack again," Haru commanded, his smug smirk returning. As soon as that Dratini released his Minun, he could commence with his new tactic.
Thunder wasn't so sure her Spark was going to work, but then he realized that with the Dratini wrapped around him, it wouldn't matter if the Lightning Rod ability drew the Spark away. He smiled at least a little damage would be done, and in the least it might make the Dragon Pokemon let go of him.
So, the Minun closed his eyes tight and concentrated, then started to generate a Electric attack from his cheeks. The Sparks surrounded her for an instant before starting to head over to the Cubone.
Meanwhile, Lightning glared at the Cubone, then she got down on all fours and shot toward the little brown Pokemon, becoming a blur as she gathered more speed, preparing to ram into the Ground-Type Pokemon.

Haru's bamboozled expression was priceless, so perfect it looked to be copied right out of a cartoon. His mouth hung agape, his pokemon carbon copies. Damien could barely contain his laughter, managing to hold in all but a tiny snicker.
Hibiki had taken full advantage of their shock and clubbed the rabbit-like creature right atop the head. Cerulean eyes watched the Electric-type squeal in pain, her giggles dripping with venom.
While Lightning was reeling in pain, Thunder was entangled in Kasis' serpentine body. The Dragon squeezed with all his might, quite sure of what he was to do next - Thunder Wave. It was an old tactic of theirs, usually followed by Slams to finish off an opponent.
The Dratini didn't have time to carry out his brilliant plan, owing to the fact that he noticed the sparks dancing around the Minun's cheeks just in time to unwind himself and get out of the way with little more than a minor shock. A hiss slid through his lips as he recoiled, on alert now more than ever.
It took a great amount of experience to follow a pokemon using Quick Attack. The Cubone, try as she might, was trumped when it came to speed. Fully aware of this, Hibiki leaped into the air; too late, it seemed - her toe caught on the Plusle's forehead, causing her to keel over and bounce around like a tumbleweed. The wind was knocked out of the Ground-type's lungs. Luckily, that was all. She lay sprawled out on the smooth terrain of the arena, breath coming in short gasps. Damien instinctively reached for her pokeball, but Hibiki was up on her feet before he could snatch it off his belt.
"Kasis! Hibiki! Calm down, they're just pokemon," Damien called, frowning. "You know what they're going to do, so do something about it!"
Hibiki growled; Kasis once again hissed. They circled their opponents, splitting them up. They could not let their trainer down; he'd been there for them tooth and nail.
"Good," he breathed. Damien dragged the back of his wrist across his damp forehead, keeping sweat out of his eyes. The trainer raised his voice, "Hibiki, Headbutt that pesky Minun right out of this stadium! Kasis, I need you to buck up and Slam!"
Kasis, thoroughly enraged, sprung forward with the force of a hundred other Dratini. He would hit the Plusle if it was the last thing he did.
The skull protecting Hibiki's head was adjusted before she ran forward, arms and club flailing behind her. She made sure that her head would find the Minun's stomach - no pokemon made a fool of her.

Haru closed his eyes as he chuckled to himself. His Pokemon weren't going to be stalled by such tactics for very long. He opened his eyes back up and held a hand dramatically out toward the arena before giving his commands.
"Thunder, Lightening, dodge those silly attacks. Thunder, use Quick Attack on that Cubone, Lightning I want you to use Helping Hand!" he commanded his Pokemon, working on taking out that annoying little Ground Pokemon.
His Minun narrowed his eyes and crouched down, then waited for the Cubone to get closer. When the little Ground Pokemon was close enough, he took a flying leap over Hibiki and landed behind her. Thunder turned on his heels and sped toward the Cubone for yet another Quick Attack.
Lightning wasn't so lucky, however. The Dratini was stronger than her, and the Slam attack hit its mark before she could entirely move out of the way. She tumbled across the arena and staggered to her feet, feeling woozy.
However, she shook it off. Even though her legs were trembling from the fatigue she felt, she lifted her paws and started to clap furiously, crying out for her partner and cheering. She hopped up and down dramatically, boosting Thunder's attack power with her cheering.

Haru's words were like a bunch of erasers, deleting all emotion that had previously morphed Damien's face. He stood there, taunt, watching the battle commence. He watched his pokemon's attack be dodged and their opponent's lightening-fast responses.
"Did... Did you just call them silly?"
Rage tore through the emptiness, fury twisting his thin lips into a scowl.
"No one is allowed to call my Pokémon silly!" He shouted, voice cracking under the strain. "Kasis! Hibiki! You two will show those two what you are made of and why we don't need a crowd to win! Slam and Bone Club - you know what to do!!"
The pair of Pokémon looked at each other, bewildered by their trainer's complete and utter lack of control. What they'd witnessed was something Damien's parents had probably never seen. Nevertheless, his words were true and made them strong. They knew exactly what to do.
Hibiki, now rendered to a sluggish pace, was defended by the Dragon-type. He darted forward and lashed out at the Minun, who was zeroing in on the Cubone too fast to put his face somewhere other than into his body. Kasis swung with all his might a muscular tail into a Slam attack in the defense of his bone-clad partner.
Taking this as her chance, the Cubone jumped high into the air and turned a few somersaults to get her momentum working in her favor. She pinpointed Thunder and raised her bony club overhead once again, looking to bring it down upon his head with the strength of Areceus.
If the combo was successful, it would surely knock the Minun clear to the ground and leave it unable to stand up. Damien fumed, leaning forward to watch the suspenseful amalgamation be executed.

Haru gave Damien an amused look. "I wasn't calling your Pokemon silly, I was calling their moves silly. Sheesh take a chill pill," he chuckled, his shoulders trembling as he did so. At least the trainer was upset. That normally meant they would start making mistakes.
Thunder was going too fast to move out of the way of the Dratini even though he did see the Dragon coming. He just clenched his eyes shut and slammed on his breaks, but the Slam attack hit him head-on and sent him tumbling backwards.
The Minun started to stand, though he looked pretty dizzy. That attack had been quite the doozy, and he shook his fur out, not paying close enough attention to the Cubone as she tried for a Bone Club.
However, there inlied Damien's mistake, leaving Lightning free to do as she wished. Haru smirked widely and crossed his arms. "Quick Attack, Lightning," he said calmly, nodding to the little Plusle.
Lightning got a running start, then she really let on the burst of speed. She became a blur, then she leapt into the air, flying toward the Cubone as she flipped in the air. Manuevering would be hard like that, but the Plusle had calculated her angle to intercept the Cubone before she reached her partner.
"Thunder, use Growl on the Dratini," Haru called to his Minun. He was at last on his paws, and something needed to distract the little serpent-like Pokemon while Lightning was attacking.
Thunder bounded toward the Dratini a few feet, then he looked at him and let out a rumbling growl that was more like a purr than anything else. It wasn't supposed to be ferocious or anything, it was just supposed to lower the foe's attack.

"Frankly, I don't care if you were referring to both - don't use such adjectives to describe my pokemon," he continued through clenched teeth.
Something about Haru's amused expression reminded him not to get carried away. The trainer took a big deep breath and looked upon the field with new eyes, cool and calculated. Both the Minun and the Plusle had taken major hits, while his two pokemon had gotten away with a motley set of minor injuries. Another critical hit each, and they'd be down. He would have to wait out the scrabble going on between Lightning and Hibiki before he could make a sound decision on what course to take the battle down.
Damien observed the rabbit-like pokemon take a lunge at Hibiki with uncanny prowess. However, just like he, Haru had made a mistake by commanding his pokemon to attempt to defend its partner. Plusle was just too small to stop the rotating Ground-type from hitting either of the opponents, and such an attack would be devastating to both the Plusle and Minun. From this analysis dawned a new plan.
"Kasis, use Wrap on that Plusle!"
The Dratini, not bothered by the Minun's sad attempt at a Growl, sprung forward, trying to pluck the pink and white rabbit right out of the sky with his tail, leaving Thunder wide open to attack. Hibiki was coming in hot - there was no time to waste. Even if he failed, she would be struck by the Cubone's dangerously strong Bone Club.

Haru shrugged. "I do what I want, so I'm going to say what I want," he said, waving his hand errently by his head. Like he was going to let this little challenger tell him what to do.
The Dratini might have been higher up in level than the Plusle, but Quick Attack was pretty fast. Before the Dratini could intercept Lightning, the Plusle was past him and in the air toward the Cubone. With the speed and weight of her, if she hit it would knock the Cubone off course.
Thunder watched like a deer caught in headlights as the Cubone came for him. There was little for him to do, until he realized-- Wait. . . I probably shouldn't stand here! With that epiphany, he shot out from under the Cubone's shadow and headed straight for the Dratini in another Quick Attack.
Haru sighed. At least his Pokemon had had enough sense to move out of the freaking way. He was about to start throwing out insults at his Pokemon if Thunder had let the Bone Club hit. That just wasn't at all smart.

Damien shrugged. The crowd had since quieted, mesmerized by the movement of pokemon.
"I can't make you respect me," he sighed. "But when I win, you aren't allowed to whine."
The trainer shot a glance at Haru, eyes cold and lips pressed into a hard line. He tried for a second to put himself in the Leader's shoes - it was required that he kept his demeanor imposing; it was the nature of his job. But it was in the nature of Damien's to point out weakness and use it to his advantage. No smile broke this time, however.
Hibiki once again sensed the presence of Lightning by her side. She was nearing the ground now, and it would take a large shift of momentum to bring her out of the tight spiral. The Cubone was beginning to feel dizzied by her constant rotation, but wouldn't let the Plusle be a hinderance to her trainer's dream. The bone-clad female swung her arms with all her might towards the Electric-type, again using its speed to her advantage.
"You've got it under control, Hibiki," Damien commended. He could always trust her to do the right thing under pressure, for she was virtually unaffected by it. "Kasis, pull it together and take that Minun down! He's the core of your problems. Slam like you mean it."
The young man was becoming irritated by the Electric pair's evasion skills. His pokemon needed to land an attack - preferably Kasis - and they needed to do it soon, for their endurance was not up to par.
Kasis hissed violently, slithering out of Thunder's range of attack. He had him when it came to level - why couldn't he win? All it took was one good hit. The Dragon-type bounded forward in an all-out offensive, the technique nearing that of a Gyrados' Thrash.

Haru he was going to ignore the challenger now. He focused on the battle and left Damien to his brooding. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back slightly, taking on a post of ease. So what if he lost? He wasn't the type to whine.
Lightning squealed as the Cubone flailed out with that annoying little bone she held in her hand. She stopped being a blur and wriggled around as if she was trying to move in midair, but it was to no avail, the Bone Club thwacked her across the face.
The little Plusle tumbled along the ground and lied there on her back. Two Bone Club's and that little Slam attack had been quiet enough for her. She was out for the count this time.
Thunder squealed as he saw the Dratini come flying at him for a Slam attack. That thing was fast for not having any legs! How was that even possible? The Minun didn't have enough time to think about that, though, he did have legs, but they weren't good enough and he was flung across the arena, crashing into the wall.
It was a critical hit, but the Minun wasn't done for, yet. He had maybe one good attack in, and if he was hit, well, that was the end for him. He got to his paws, shaking slightly, and glared daggers at the blue dragon Pokemon and the Cubone.
Haru scoffed and took out Lightning's Pokeball. "Great job, girl. You deserve some sort of rest I guess," he muttered as a small red beam shot out from the center of the red-and-white ball. The Plusle disspeared and Haru tucked the Pokeball away for later use.
"Alright, Storm, let's show that Punk what Electric Pokemon are made of!" he declared, throwing another Pokeball into the air. It stopped before hitting the ground and dropped a little yellow Pichu on the floor. Storm stood up and, sparks flying from his cheeks, faced his opponents.
"One more Quick Attack on that Cubone, Thunder. Storm, I want you to use Sweet Kiss on the Dratini," Haru commanded, still with his arms crossed casually over his chest.
Thunder shook out his fur once, then he started to run toward the Cubone, picking up speed as he went. Eventually he reached a faster-than-the-human-eye-can-follow speeds and turned into a little blue blur as he zipped across the floor to get in one good attack on that cumbersome Cubone.
Storm smiled. Sweet Kiss, huh? It wasn't a very manly move, but if it worked, he might just be able to Confuse his foe. Plus, he was cute! He had to stay true to his cute nature! He giggled slightly, then turned to face just the Dratini.
The little Pichu smiled brightly at the Dratini, gave him a little wink, then touched his paw to his mouth and blew Kasis a kiss. Huge-ass pink hearts appeared in the air and started to fly toward the Dratini.

ooc || xDD YESH. PLUSLE DOWN. Huge-ass pink hearts. Manly, Raven. x3 /dies of laughter.
Damien watched the now-silent Leader, arms akimbo. He was just fine with a lack of communication between them; Damien was more comfortable with that than the former. The hush gave him time to think about how to proceed. The trainer figured he had the upper hand in this battle.
Hibiki hit the ground and giggled with delight. The attack had used a lot of her valuble energy, but it was worth it; the nuisance of a pokemon was down for the count. Fatigue began to take it's toll on the Cubone. Her bone dragged across the ground as she trudged to center field, awaiting the next - and last - challenge.
The world was a blur to Kasis; the only thing that kept him oriented was the feeling of flesh against scale when his tail made perfect contact with the Minun, sending it sprawling into the wall. He squealed like a pig upon contact, amusing the serpentine pokemon.
The Dratini's chest heaved with his breath, but he managed to throw a smirk at the Minun. The crash satisfied him - he could tell the Electric-type couldn't take much more, leaving only one more pokemon before the epic battle would cease. The blueberries-and-cream bunny would soon join his pink friend on Haru's belt, and Kasis would make sure of it.
Damien watched the Gym Leader reluctantly pluck a poke ball from his belt, enlarge it, and summon the fainted Plusle back in a beam of brilliant red light. He replaced the sphere and drew another one, from it's innards coming a Pichu. The newest addition looked slightly dazed, but shook it all off within seconds. Sparks spurted from it's cheeks as if to warn Damien's pair of battlers.
"Marvelous job, you two," Damien praised, clapping his hands together. "You can take this next one down no problem! Focus hard on that Minun, but don't let the Pichu get to you! Kasis, Wrap that guy! Hibiki, take that Minun down with Bone Club!"
Damien knew full well that his Cubone was dead beat, but he believed she could pull off one more attack before her performance ended. However, Sweet Kiss. Despite the irony of the attack, it would throw a monkey wrench in his plans.
The Cubone gave a start. Another Quick Attack? It was insanity - insanity! She couldn't take another one of those. As a last resort, Hibiki curled up into a ball and allowed the Minun to strike her on her protective skull. She cried out in pain, but unrolled and raised the bone club above her head and brought it down to his head.
Kasis shook his head, disgusted. What type of male pokemon used Sweet Kiss? What kind of male trainer commanded his male pokemon to use Sweet Kiss? The Dragon was utterly confused even before the dumbass hearts struck him gently.

[OOC: D= Shaddup. All's fair in love and war! >>]
The Minun was a little dazed after hitting the Cubone's skull helmet and he stumbled around, looking a bit dizzy. He's stumbling made it easy for him to dodge the bone Hibiki was trying to smack him with and he tumbled to his back.
Haru shook his head. "Thunder, get up and use another Quick Attack!" he demanded, looking a little disgruntled. If his Minun went down before the Cubone was taken care of, the battle would be over even before his Pichu fainted.
Speaking of the Pichu, the little mouse Pokemon looked extremely satisfied that his Sweet Kiss attack had worked. Why his trainer hadn't gotten rid of that attack already he knew not, but at least it was useful every once in a while.
Thunder struggled to his paws. He had gotten extremely lucky that time but he knew next time he was going to go down. . . He had to do his trainer and his comrade a huge favor by ridding the world of that annoying Cubone, and with her that Lightning Rod attack, otherwise Pichu was not going to be a very good asset in the rest of the fight.
Panting heavily, Thunder got down on his fours and started after the Cubone, picking up speed as he went as he readied himself for a Quick Attack, likely his last attack for the rest of the battle. He had to make it count.
"Storm, I want you to use. . . Charm. Get rid of some of that Dratini's attack power!" Haru declared. He couldn't use any of Storm's damaging attacks, as they were both Electric Types and would be rendered useless because of the Cubone's special ability.
Storm sighed. Yet another "manly" attack. Well, when you're desperate. . . He had to do something, and he wasn't about to go against his trainer's wishes and use a different attack. He just wasn't that type of Pokemon.
So, Storm faced Kasis again and gave him a bright smile, then did all sorts of cute little things, trying to Charm his opponent into lowering his attack. He felt intirely silly doing it, but his trainer said it. . . The females in the crowd seemed to like it, though. . .

ooc || x3;; Touche. Pucker up~ Are we allowed to use healing items in battle? My stock of Potions could work their magic on Hibiki, but I feel like that's nearing God-Mode.
Hibiki stumbled around aimlessly, balance thrown off completely by the lack of impact. The skull-wearing pokemon spun on her toes, having to fall to the ground to reorient herself. The Cubone glowered at the Minun and pulled herself to her feet. Damien's face mirrored his Cubone's. "Hibiki, whatever you do, you can't get hit!" It was a sudden death - the next one hit was out. He couldn't afford her to faint, or at least not until it was 2-on-1. With Kasis in his mystified state, would be more of a hindrance than an asset. The Dratini of which he spoke was bouncing around like he was on crack. His amber eyes were dazed, out of focus, and swirled into the most idiotic expression. The dragon bumbled across the field, bringing in his wake an uproar of laughter. Damien felt his face heat up. He slapped his forehead and huffed; obviously stressed. This threw a monkey wrench into his plans. "Kasis, you've gotta snap out of it," the trainer pleaded, but to no avail. The Minun was coming in hot, puffing like a train speeding down the tracks. Hibiki, helpless, screamed at a bloodcurdling pitch. She had to think fast - there was no time for anything else. Kasis! The Cubone made a break for it, the rabbit pokemon right on her bony tail, and hurdled over the imprudent Dragon-type, taking cover in his scales. The Minun hit not Hibiki, but Kasis. His serpentine figure flailed through the air like a worm and crashed into the opposing wall. The collision caused the Dratini to shriek as he fell to the floor in disorderly coils. Not seconds later did the irritating Pichu's gay Charm attack take effect. Kasis felt power drain from his body, and left him weak against the wall. All of it had allowed him to find his bearings, and confusion slowly drained away; however, the series of events had him on the defensive. Damien saw this and decided it was best that he hold back for a turn. "Kasis, Thunder Wave! You're doing great! Hibiki, I don't care what you do, just do it!" They both nodded slowly. The Cubone was tired of analysis. She barbarically raised her club and ran full on at the Minun in a last-minute attempt to take it down. It was, more than likely, her last attack. The Dragon-type sighed, slithered forward towards the Pichu, and allowed purple sparks to fly from his gaping mouth. They twisted and turned around each other, making their way to the yellow mouse-like creature.

[OOC: I don't see why not. . . If you feel like it would be too god-moddish, you don't have to use a Potion. But I, personally, would not consider it so.]
Thunder felt so smug when he felt the impact of his body against another. However, it was too squishy to be the Cubone's. . . So smooth and long and. . . Well, blue. He stopped on his paws and saw that he had hit the Dratini.
Haru put a hand on his head. He was starting to lose his cool. Why did his Pokemon have to be so. . . So. . . Well he didn't what they were but he wasn't happy with it!
"The Cubone I said! God! Quick Attack again do it now and do it right!" Haru declared, pointing dramatically to the skull-wearing Pokemon. He had not noticed the fact that the Pokemon was heading for his Minun for a Bone Club.
Thunder, however, did notice. He figured it was all just part of some grand scheme his trainer had thought up, but really it wasn't. So the Minun ran at Hibiki, turning into a blur. Chances were the Minun and Cubone were just going to collide, causing Thunder to faint and leave Storm to the entire battle by himself.
Speaking of Storm, the Pichu still had to worry about the Thunderwave attack. He tensed his mucles, getting ready to swiftly zip out of the way, but the arc of blue lightning didn't even make it to him. It was redirected to the Cubone.
Haru sighed. It wasn't worth embarrasing his poor Pichu to use Sweet Kiss or Charm again, so he just decided to have Storm save his energy by not attacking at all. The Pichu would have his moment eventually.
[OOC: I read up on the ability, but nothing ever says whether or not the comrade is affected by this too, just that "all Electric attacks." Either way, Storm was going to move out of the way of the attack this time.]

ooc || *is torn* D: Kai wants to be a greedy bitch and use a Potion and own Haru's ass like none other, but I dunno. If you say so~
Aaaand, I'm perfectly sure it /wouldn't/ affect Kasis' Thunder Wave because I've used this tactic in actual competitive battle. But you know, whatever. I wasn't expecting it to hit. ;3
Damien had to clasp both hands over his mouth to conceal his laughter. He had drove Haru to exasperation, a feat that would serve him well for the remainder of the battle; he only had to call Haru's bluff, and the battle would be his. Pssht, he thought, trying hard to keep from sounding smug, And he thought I was the one that would get flustered. Let's see how he reacts to this...The trainer dug quickly through a small sack, which held the items crucial to a trainer; medicine and the like. He produced from the satchel a purple and white cartridge, the key to his success. A Potion. "Hibiki, pull back! Come 'ere, girl," Damien called enthusiastically, waving the Potion in the air. The Cubone grinned, leaping over the Minun with a last-minute burst of strength to her trainer, gulping down the contents of the canister eagerly. Instantly, one could see even from the crowd that the Ground-type had perked up. Hibiki shook herself out and growled - albeit, it wasn't as imposing as intended - at the two Electric-types. "You're doing wonderful - don't let the advantage get to your head. You need to stay smart," Damien whispered to her. In return, Hibiki hugged his leg before bounding off energetically to meet the Minun at center field. Damien straightened and faced his Dratini. "Kasis, use Slam on the Minun! Get it out of here!" The serpent bobbed his head, impassive, and raced sinuously towards the rabbit-like pokemon, bracing himself for the impact.

[OOC: Understood!]
Haru groaned rather loudly and leaned backwards, putting both of his hands on his head. "DAMMIT! What the hell?!" he declared angrily. Well! Two could play at that game!
However, before he could even pull out a Potion of his own, the Dratini was sailing toward his Minun. All could only watch as a deer would stand in front of headlights. This was the end! Oh, the humanity of it all!
Thunder flumped to the ground, too tired to even really care. He could only hope that unconsciousness would be a relief. No more fatigue, and his bruises and cuts would stop hurting. . . Then it would only be a few more minutes until he was healed and feeling so much better. He had fought hard, and he was proud of himself.
The Minun flew across the arena when the strong Dratini crashed into him. He hit the wall and thudded hard to the ground, out almost instantly. It was a relief to Thunder, but Haru was not at all happy with how this had turned out, not one bit.
"Damn it all to hell," Haru muttered to himself, taking out Thunder's Pokeball and returning it. He looked to Storm, who glanced back at him, looking rather worried. It was all up to the little Pichu now, and he didn't know one damaging attack that wasn't Electric!
"Well, let's try this one thing out and see how it goes, Thunder! Volt Tackle that Dratini!" Haru declared. It was a very dangerous move, but desperate times called for desperate measures. The worst thing that could happen was that Storm was drawn to Hibiki instead and merely tackle the Cubone.
Well, actually the worst-case scenerio would be Storm missing the attack completely and getting a major case of recoil damage. But, again, Haru thought it worth it.
Storm gave Haru dubious look. Really? He was going to use that? It was the Pichu's favorite move, but he wasn't sure that Volt Tackle would work. None the less, the little Pichu got on his fours and electricity started to dance off his cheeks. He put all his weight on his haunches, then sprang forward, running toward the Dratini.
Blue electricity surrounded the Pichu like some sort of strange, crackling bubble. He became more than a blur as he dashed toward his opponent, letting out a ferocious cry of "Pichupichupichupichu. . . Pi-CHU!" as he lunged at the Pokemon.
