Yaibel glanced at the Lotad, only mildly surprised. It looked weak, but it had the right attitude for his team. If it managed to hold its own in a battle, then he'd catch it. Yaibel reached for one of his pokeballs and then changed his mind. He had to have a perfect team if he wanted to take the gang down. And one of his Pokémon needed training. "Go King," he called out as he released the small worm. King looked around, surprised to be out again. "Now look you pathetic worm. I'm going to catch this Lotad. Now either you fight it, or you fight all of my Pokémon. Your choice," he snarled. King cringed in fear but knew he had to obey. "Now use String Shot to pull it to the ground," Yaibel ordered. Miserably, King raised his tail and sprayed a fine thread at Lotad.

The heroic looking Lotad carefully raised his right eye brow towards Yaibel's demanding voice. Hmm, this trainer has a lot to learn about Pokemon, he thought to himself. <Don't worry little worm, I'm defeat then save you for the horrible beast that has control over you!> He shouted loudly. His petite, keen eyes carefully watched his foe, and once the String Shot neared him, he swiftly dodge it, with a twirl over his pad on his back that still moved like a hero's cape. <Take this!> He growled, using an Astonish attack!

The Astonish attack... well, astonished King. He almost fell back onto his back but managed to baance on his tail.
"King, you're in the perfect position to use Tackle," Yaibel commanded eagerly.

The Lotad, although great and all powerful, felt a small twinge of regret at how the poor Caterpie was being treated. He had no say in the battle, unlike the Lotad who was free to do as he pleased. He could get up and run right this very moment if he wished. The pokemon could never do that, not unless their bond was broken by the trainer.
The lily-pad pokemon, watched as King charged towards him looking like his heart wasn't really in it. Suddendly the Lotad focused on the battle, he'd rescue the Capterpie after the battle! But for right now he had to focus. The Lotad was planning to make an amazing dodge, waiting until the last minute to leap out of the way. The water and grass type tensed up and waited.
Sadly for him though, the timing was off, he either jumped very slowly or the Caterpie speeded up at the last moment. He didn't know, but he knew that this was very unpleasent as he was sentto ground with a painful landing.
Groaning he hopped to his feet, eyes narrowed as he stared down the Caterpie. <WELL. LITTLE WORMY. THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR. Resisit your master RESIST.> he called, before running in circles around the Caterpie.
After a little bit of circling he attacked with an Astonish, then he stumbled back woozy. Swaying he was vanerable, a perfect time to attack.

King rolled back as the Astonish attack worked. He climbed wobbly to his feet, sort of half flinching.
"King, use String Shot. Its speed is its greatest strength," Yaibel commanded. He had to admit that King was doing well. He might earn a break if he won.
King managed to plant all of his feet on the ground for long enough to spray thread at Lotad, before wobbling along again.

Then, the sky started to get dark; great, if it wasn't cold enough right now. Thunder in the distance rumbled, and it started to rain. If that wasn't bad enough, cold icy winds blew the rain in a slanted angle, making it hit everything in sight; this was just bad luck
But.. your fate isn't finished with you yet...
Rain brought Pokemon to run for shelter, for the warmth and thus, the single Lotad that was battling you, seemed to cry out for help. Then, three other Lotad showed up, to help their friend.

"Don't think that will save you," Yaibel snarled. Quickly, he drew out his three other Pokeballs. He released all of his other Pokemon.
"Shadow, Tyikik, Ripper. We're going to have a four on four battle here. I expect all of you to pull through," he said. Then he seemed to have a tiny bit of pity.
"Ripper, you're the lowest in level and you just fought Phanpy. I'll use this," he said and took out a potion. He sprayed it all over Ripper, healing some of the cuts.
Shadow cocked his head at Tyikik and said "Are you sure you can handle it Tyikik? They look almost as strong as that Caterpie," he taunted. Tyikik blushed and King stared at the ground miserably.
Shadow turned to taunt Ripper, with her being the weakest, but then he stopped. Even though this Starly was weak, there was something about her that made him hesitant, maybe even a little afraid.

The pokemon seemed to be attacking in groups lately now and as these Lotad conversed quietly before attacking, the large cluster of lily-pad had abosolutly no problem with the rain as harshly as if might come.
For the other pokemon and the Caterpie it was a different story, the rain would be harsh, brutal and lashing against their skin painfully. Since the group endured the rain in silence the Lotad assumed the pokemon weren't planning on attacking. Having the first move they quickly took advantage of that fact and charged at the pokemon.
They moved fairly quickly despite their stumpy feet and width, as they let out a bellow, they each attacked their seperated opponent. The first Lotad continued his original battle with King using Astonish once again. It was a favorite attack of his.
Lotad #2 darted at Shadow, Lotad #3 attacked Tyikik and Lotad #4 lunged at Ripper taking advantage of his weakness to attack vicously with an Absorb. The rest of the Lotad followed his lead and used Absorb.

Astonish hit, making King flinch. All of the Absorb attacks hit as well. Shadow and Ripper took the attacks bravely but Tyikik, being weak to the attack, winced. Luckily, she didn't mind the rain, being a water and electric type.
"OK all of you. Don' let them separate you. Take them out one by one, starting with the one attacking King. Shadow and Ripper, use Peck and Tackle," he said confidently. Shadow would be the most important Pokemon here. Not only were his Peck attacks super effective, but the Sharp Beak gave them a 20% boost.
"Tyikik, when they attack and fly away, use Thunderwave followed by Bubble," he commanded. Tyikik was getting more mobility as the rain made the puddles bigger. She bobbed her head as if nodding.

The head Lotad was the one that the others had deiced to focus on, and once relizing this, the Lotad blanched quickly, wincing at the oncoming pokemon and remaing motionless, an easy target. Finally snapping out of his daze, he scrambled to form a plan. Rather hard-pressed for time, since the pokemon were coming towards him at a swift speed, he failed.
Getting wrapped up in his agony over all the hits delievered to him by the pokemon, he failed to notice the fourth and final blow. Getting blasted with the Bubbles weakened him so much he couldn't even stand, and as his gazed floated upwards he saw the Thunderwave. Then everything went black.
Knocked out, the other Lotad swarmed against the other pokemon in a ferious rage, far from disbanded. Their fainted leader only fueled their rage. The rain getting in their eyes and over their bodies bothered them not all and they swiftly attacked as a group, but not unified as their attacks were scattered.
Lotad #4 used Astonish and Growl on Tyikik. Lotad #2 and #3 used Absorb on King Lotad #1 fainted

Tyikik flinched at the Astonish attack. As the Absorbs hit King he collapsed in a heap. He wasn't unconscious but he wouldn't be able to move much. That left him only with String Shot.
Happy that the first Lotad was defeated, King said "King, use String Shot to tie number 2 and 3 together. Shadow, then you pick them up by the string and throw them to the ground when you're high enough. Ripper, use Tackle on number 4."

The Lotads cheered at the sight of the fallen King, believing that the leader was down and that they had won the battle. Even against great odds they had won! They had protected their leader! Lotad #4 spotted King twich out of the corner of her eye and was about to shout a warning to her teammates when she was knocked down with a hard grunt.
Lotad #4 Growled at the annoying Ripper, before backing away carefully as if she was going to retreat. Then out of nowhere she turned tail and ran, only to turn right back and Astonish Ripper.
Lotad #2 and #3 were caught totally of gaurd and were flung to the ground at a great speed after being plucked up easily by the flying-type. The two lily-pad Pokémon laid there motionless, agony surrounding the Pokémon. Lotad #2 fainted, after a long suhddering breath and a vailent effort to keep his eyes open.
Lotad #3 was now pissed and tore his way out of the cacoon had had surrounded him, without hesitation he charged at Ripper, wanting to get one annoying Pokémon out of the way. Absorb

King stared around. He was winning, but he hadn't won. Ripper was weaker than the others and had been attacked twice. It was time to get serious.
"King, use String Shot on number 3 again. Then Ripper will attack it with Tackle. After that fall to the ground, it can't have much health," he said. King fired the String Shot at number 3 and then fainted completely, drained of energy.
"Shadow, use Pursuit on number 4. You use Bubble Tyikik. It will be more powerful in the rain," he commanded the others, recalling King with barely a second thought.
OOC: I'm just assuming that the rain has the same effect as rain dance.

[[You assumed right! ]]
The two remaining lily-pad pokemon were quite aware of how outnumbered they were, and looked at each other, their eyes betraying their fear of what was going to happen. During this wordless exchange, the Sting Shot was zinging towards Lotad #3, but as the pokemon cried out in astonishment, trapped in the bindings of the silky string.
Lotad #4 quickly came to his friends rescue, ripping the cacoon away with only the determintion of a desperate and focused person/pokemon could manage. As the two Lotad faced the pokemon that were coming at them, they were faintly pleased to notice that King had acually fainted this time.
Lotad #3 took the Tackle attack and countered quickly with a super-effective Astonish! making sure that the shrill cry at the end was screamed into the opponent's eardrum. Lotad number #4 gazed at the two attacking pokemon with worry and quickly dived, to avoid the quickly moving Bubble attack, but the Persuit was spot on and her health dropped dramtically.
One more hit and she would probably be down, this fact didn't distract her and she kept on plowing through, attacking Ripper with yet another Absorb attack, knowing that any energy she could get back would help.

"Tyikik, use Supersonic on number 3. When it has finished off number 4, I want Ripper and Shadow to use Tackle and Peck," he commanded. He knew that victory was only an inch away. He quickly decided that he'd capture number 1. It had been the first one there and it had managed to hold its own after all.

The two Lotad back up, until they were back to back. They stared into each other;s eyes disparingly, knowing now, that there was no way of winning. Seeing the three pokemon, still going fairly strong, edging towards them gave them plenty of incentive.
Without a hesitation, they turned tail and feld from their certain death. In the process though, they left behind two of their friends, but they were far too cowardly to attempt to rescue them right now. They would come back later. Wise move.
Lotad #3 and #4 have fled the battle! All partipating pokemon gain a level! Tyikik, King, Ripper and Shadow gain levels.
Capture or move on?

King returned his other three pokemon. He grinned at the thought that King would evolve on the next level and after that, it would evolve into Butterfree. King may be a wimp now, but Butterfree were powerful Pokemon. Suddenly, he remembered the Lotad's. He stared at them for a moment and then took out a Pokeball and threw it.
OOC: By the way, if I end this thread, am I able to come back here later or what?

The small Lotad glowered one more time at the boy in front of her, then she closed her eyes as the Pokeball sucked her in. She wasn't sure how she would live, but she would somehow. She would do what she could to stay such with the wild Pokémon. Stay like a Pokémon with her own free will as they thought. The other Lotad, Lotad #3, had also been sucked into a Pokeball. He closed his eyes but kept thrashing. However, he got out quickly and hurried away, not turning once to look back at his friend. He kept his eyes on the road away from a certain death. Or for them, no real good life for their thoughts. Level 7 Attacks: Astonish, Growl, Absorb, Nature Power, Nature: Scared. However, she has a determined thought to try and stay like a wild Pokemon, in the world without humans conducting her. Gender: Female [/center]
