Finding what's lost, but never can be found, out bodies can survive while our hearts are crushed Look carefully but quickly to find what your looking for...
Aurora walked out into Route one. The day seemed to be very normal for any sort of day really; besides, it was morning anyways. Walking into the narrow route alone, Aurora looked around at the trees and grass. She didn't see any Pokémon yet but, they could be heard everywhere, then again, who couldn't hear them. Shuffling was heard in shrubs, trees, and tall grass but, nothing could be seen beyond that for Aurora. She sighed, pushing back her black hair, her blue-red tinted eyes following the path before her until, she stopped. Slowly, Aurora pulled out a tiny, red and white ball. She increased the size and threw it into the air. A red light appeared and formed a Shinx, as the ball returned to her and she put it away. The male Shinx looked up at Aurora and then towards the route, it seemed to have a very lonely personality and kept to himself. Aurora patted the Shinx gently and walked down the route with him by her side.

::rattata::
<Food. Food. Food. Food.> A low voice started making a monotone chant from the safety of a hollow log, his voice echoing louder and louder until a purple littler head emerged. They belonged to a Rattata, droopy from his half asleep state. He had only woken up ten minutes earlier, and was on the hunt for any edible scrap he could find with his nose hanging low to the ground.
<Hm?> He mumbled, noticing footsteps approaching with the raise of his ears. A round head barely moved up to take a look at the Shinx and his trainer, and only stared at the group as they walked by without even thinking. Common sense would have told him to run at the sight of them, but it was just one of those days.

Aurora didn't care to notice the young mouse. In fact, such a pathetic Pokémon in her eyes wouldn't be any use to her at all. She did glance over, and then quickly pulled out her Pokedex, not looking at the Rattata but, instead, the evolutionary form, Raticate. "Nothing special.." Aurora mumbled and looked down at her Shinx and sighed, why battle this creature. She shook her head and turned to face the little purple mouse. "You should of ran little one..." Aurora glared down, the red tint in her eyes shimmering against the dark blue. "Now, you must faint for my Shinx... I expected better out of you." Aurora didn't change her emotion, her eyes did show some disappointment and anger but, her lips showed nothing. "Shinx, leer,Ice fang." Aurora didn't even move from her glare at the mouse but, out of the corner of her eye, she watched her Shinx run at the mouse and shoot bright yellow beams from his eyes then, prepared his fangs to bite down on the Rattata.

The Rattata stood motionless, matching the same icy stare that Aurora was currently giving him. In an extremely monotone voice he mumbled a few words, <You have food?> The skinny Rattata stared unblinkingly at the trainer, paying no heed to the harsh words. Hearing the word faint, he raised his eyebrow, the most emotion he had shown all day.
<Must we.> he asked, not even bothering to make it a question. He knew the answer once the Shinx charged at him, with bright headlights shining out of it's eyes. The Rattata was transfixed for a moment, pupils dilating.
Logic returned to the purple mouse pokemon though, and he darted aside, narrowly evading the attack, or so he thought. The fangs had managed to catch onto his tail, and he was dangling off the ground in the clutches of the Shinx.
The pokemon stared at the ground blankly, before using Tackle, attempting to slam himself into the the sturdy body of his capturer.

The wind seemed to blow more harshly, matching the tone that Aurora had given to the Rattata. She simply showed to pity, no need to help such a creature. "Pathetic..." Aurora mumbled looking towards her Shinx now that he had the small purple mouse in his mouth. Aurora shook her head and sighed. "Shinx, rid of it, tackle." She watch the Rattata try to tackle her Shinx but, the Pokemon had thrown the mouse away from him, dodging the small tackle attack and then ran at it, trying to tackle him back as well. "You should know better then to place garbage in your mouth." Aurora was stern to her Shinx and watched the battle continue.

’Mmmm…Garbage…’ The Rattata thought with an amused smile on his face, if the situation wasn’t so serious right now, then he possibly would have been drooling to have an encounter with the scrapped goodness. His lucky instinct didn’t kick in this time, and the Shinx managed to knock the wind right out of him by plowing him right into the ground. He was coughing and gasping for breath by the time he was back on his four feet, a bit unsteady, but with a more alert mind than before.
<Why can’t we be friends?> It was more of a joking complaint to the Shinx, wagging his tail for an easy Tail Whip on the Shinx. Mostly to try and buy some time so he could think a step or so ahead of the Shinx. He lacked levels and power. That much he knew. Chances were, he was going to lose, and he was going to rot on the route after it was over.

Aurora watched, her emotion not changing at all from every move, and every swift of the wind that came through Route one. Sure, after all, it was her first time but, she had witnessed plenty of battles before and this was no different. Shinx, on the other hand, was proud of his attacks and watched the Rattata carefully. "Why can't we be friends?" What kind of question was that? The Shinx shook his head and watched his tail, though even lowering his defense a tad bit wouldn't do very much. [Because my Master does not like you..] Shinx replied, angrily. "Ice fang.." Aurora spoke to her Shinx but, did not move or even slightly change her position. Quickly after hearing the command, Shinx ran towards the little mouse with another Ice Fang.

The Rattata gave a loud screech as the cold fangs of the Shinx bit his body. Half of him was induced with pain. If he weren't a warm-blooded pokemon, he surely would've froze with the sheer cold of the fangs. He lifted himself, trying to get away from the Shinx's grip. <"You have a mind of your own right?"> said the Rattata weakly, still trying to break the hold. Trying to plant some sort o confusion was the only thought he had now.
He used a quick attack, trying to get away as a primary motive.

Shinx had a bit of a different design then most shinx did. His hair fell over his face and was jet black, like his paws, tips of his ears and the grey half of his body; but this did not effect his vision by any sort. Aurora continued to watch, and did not change her emotion yet, it seemed like she didn't have one. "take the quick attack, then leer and tackle." Shinx took the quick attack, skidding back only a few feet and then quickly balanced himself, shooting yellow lights of Leer from his eyes. [yes, mind of my own but, I am loyal to my master.] he quickly became angry and ran towards the Rattata with a tackle attack.

ooc: XD
That's a gothic looking Shinx you got there.
BIC:
Since the Rattata was already at a level that was either equal or lower than the Shinz, having such low defense was not a very good thing to have. Most of his body was fur and bones, a scavenger’s body at its best. When he made the Quick Attack on the Shinx, he was certain that he did a lot of damage against the Shinx after seeing him skid back as far as he did. He was still pushing against the Shinx, hoping to prove that his power was greater than the Shinx when he flinched. The glowing Leer only shown the Shinx’s desire to fight, and to need to win for his trainer. It was enough for his combination attack to work; the Tackle had thrown him right off of his feet, and landed on his back with a cry and a thud.
’No…I can win…I still have…’ He thought with trembling legs, his large teeth didn’t quite seem to fit his mouth as he barred them at the Shinx threateningly. He never made it off of the ground. Instead, he collapsed where he was with swirls in his eyes to signal his defeat. It was certainly a blow to his pride as a Rattata, but right now, sleep was the one thing he needed.
Shinx gains a level
Assuming that you don’t want to catch it…Move on?

[Ooc: thanks, I think it matches Aurora quiet nicely.]
Aurora looked at the fainted mouse, such a small creature that fought so hard. If it had any other worth, maybe she would of caught it just because of it's spunk but, she did not. "Come.." Aurora switched her position to continue on the path, her Shinx quickly jumping up and running to her side, looking down the route for more Pokémon to fight. Aurora didn't expect much from her Pokémon but, pure loyalty and power. She said come and that's all she had to say, if it didn't care to listen, Aurora wouldn't care to provoke it; but, Shinx did, and that's all that mattered. The day was getting pretty bright by now, since Aurora had been awake since the sun began to rise from traveling all this way by herself. She sighed, her expression not changing as she listened for any Pokémon that would come by, maybe one that was at least worthy enough as for evolution to be able to become captured.

The once cheery bright sky, now had grey clouds moving steadily through the sky, blocking the light from the sun. A dark shadow was cast over Route One, and a steady drizzle began to fall, bolts of lightning striking the sky. That storm came /fast/.
A rounded, plump Pokémon waddled quickly through the forest, occasionally casting worried glances upwards. Her small stubby legs moved hastily, and hrt inflated tail bobbed up and down as the Marill hopped over random pieces of debris. The Marill had a phobia of being struck by lightning and it's panic was steadily increasing with every flash of lightning.
When it got into a full out panic mode, she wouldn't curl up in a fetal position and start sobbing. No. She would get enraged and would snap a tree with her bare fist. She wouldn't let a mighty lightning bolt get her! No way!
The breaking point struck, as a thunderous boom followed a bright jagged flash across the night sky. A scream echoed throughout the forest as the Marill began her rampage. Luckily, Aurora happened to be in the warpath area.
Anger was clear on the water Pokémon expression as she charged through the forest, eyes so blinded by fury that she slammed right into the Shinx. Angered, she quickly lashed out with a Tail Whip smacking her tail into the electric pokemon's face.
A wild Marill Attacks!

[Ooc: grass Pokémon? Shinx is electric lulz]
Aurora's mood, actually changes, for once at least and for only a second or two, her normal not caring expression came to a smirk as the storm finally arrived. "Perfect.." Aurora murmured and stopped, staring up into the sky, awaiting the fat droplets of water that would cover her face, the ground and all surroundings. The scream, an errie blood cry from inside the forest surrounding route one was heard, and the fat blue mouse like Pokémon ran out, afraid and angry. Aurora's smirked faded quickly and she looked over, a cold, icy glare in her eyes as the red tint shimmered some with her disappointment. The creature had bumped into her Pokemon, and used Tail whip out of pure, embarrassment; which was rather stupid. "Afraid.. of lightning.." She was amused by all the tiny Pokémon out here, and shook her head. "I expect more out of Pokémon.." She sighed and didn't change her glance, just like before. "Shinx, leer, ice fang." Aurora called, watching from the corner of her eye as her Gothic looking Shinx quickly shot the beams of light from his eyes and then charged at the fat Pokémon with icy fangs.

The Marill made a hissing noise as the beams shot past, and braced herself for the attack that the shinx aimed at her, certain that she wouldn't be able to dodge. A few moments later the fangs met with the balloon-shaped pokemon's flesh, but the damage was halved because of marill's thick fat. She gritted her teeth and took the fleeting moment to unleash a side tackle at the shinx, who had bitten her moments before.

Aurora was amused with this Pokemon, it had a little more courage then the Rattata did but, not much to say the least. She watched carefully and scanned over the Marill. "Water type.. afraid of simple lightning." She shook her head again, making her jet black hair sway from side to side, "My Shinx is electric little one.. you should be afraid." Watching the bite take place, along with the lowering of it's defense, Aurora knew what attacks to do next. "Dodge, leer, tackle." Leer would do good, slowly lowering defense with every move Shinx would make. After a quick dodge, he shot the Leer at Marill, and then Shinx ran towards Marill with a tackle, using the grass to his advantage for speed.

The Marill quickly dodged the Leer but got hit by the Tackle as a result. She felt kind of bad for falling for such a trick, but instead became even more angered than before. She quickly charged forwards with a Tail Whip, her short tail becoming full of power. The more the Shinx got whacked, the less defense points it had. If she hit, she'd use a Tackle to make the Shinx pay for what it had done. Meanwhile, another small Pokemon watched from the sidelines, also afraid of the Shinx. Not nearly a bit afraid of the Marill that was too spunky for her tastes, but afraid of the Shinx because of his type. Electric types around here were pretty mean to her, but she gritted her teeth and kept looking. If only because it looked cool and a few friends were watching from far away. [!] has not appeared! XD[!]

Aurora watched the battle, and the feeling of being watched was also in the air. Another change of emotion, a simple smirk came across her face and she shook her head. "If Pokemon were smart, they would come out of hiding and face me, or run..." She continued watching the battle and kept an eye on the Marill. "allow, dodge, ice fang." Knowing the words carefully, Shinx allowed the tail whip to hit but, dodged the tackle attack. Quickly afterward, Shinx ran towards the Marill with Ice fang.

The Pokemon in the bushes moved, quite unsure of what to do. Well, she could just watch from the sidelines. But the Marill sure looked like it needed some help, and that Shinx was one strong Pokemon. The Poliwag jumped out of the bushes. She closed her eyes and let out a tiny Bubble attack. She was kind of afraid to attack the powerful, or so she thought, Shinx that was an Electric type Pokemon. [!]Poliwag appeared![!] [!]Poliwag would like to battle![!] ::poliwag:: Marill was just getting ready to start another Tackle attack when the Ice Fang hit her. She screamed. <MARILLL!> She cried as the attack plunged into her skin. But the Thick Fat ability helped, even though the attack still hurt quite a bit. Then she took advantage of the closeness of the Shinx and used a Tackle attack. Those Tail Whips had better done some damage to the Shinx, or at least lower its defense.

Two against one, that wasn't very fair. Aurora shook her head and watched all three Pokemon carefully. Both water types were only route one so, there was no worries there. She did notice how the bubble and the tackle were used at the same time and a smirk came across her face. "Shinx, jump up, and tackle Marill." Aurora would deal with the Poliwag later on, there was no use in trying very hard after all, her Shinx had the advantage. Shinx jumped up, dodging the bubble and the tackle, maybe the Marill would be hit by bubble or vice versa in the end. Then, Shinx flipped in the air, and ran after the Marill with a tackle attack.

The marill's eyes glinted with a confident fierceness, and the round Pokémon quickly dodged the tackle. However, poliwag, who had been cowering behind it's ally, was hit fully. "Poli~!!!!!" It shrieked, sent through the air and back onto the grass head-first. The weak Pokémon would have to take a few turns to recover; marill had to fend for herself.
The round blue Pokémon snarled at the shinx, opened her jaws, and sent a blast of water at the formidable cat for a water gun. She was becoming more and more drained each turn, and stressed out since the storm was still raging above them.
