Thanks to Minimize, the attack missed Clefairy completely. "Nice work!" Kalina cheered. "Now, give it a Doubleslap!" The Clefairy leapt forward, ready to attack the Milotic as hard as she could.

Having poked her head out of the water to survey the damage dealt to Clefairy, Milotic was caught off guard by the barrage of slaps she subsequently received. With an indignant squeal, she once again dove under the water to get away from the maniacal fairy.
"Try water pulse again," Aqua called, pumping her fist into the air. She was going to win, she just knew it!
Mi swam around, looking for a better angle. Once it was sure of it's aim, it fired another stream of water.

This time, Clefairy was hit by the Water Pulse, sent flying into the wall. When the water cleared, Clefairy had fainted and Kalina had no choice but to return her. "Okay Lunar, you're up again" she said, releasing her Pokemon and ordering it to use Hypnosis.

Mi couldn't seem to tear her gaze away from the power of Lunar's hypnosis. Eyelids began to droop, as she sunk deeper into the pool. Tiny bubbles floated to the surface in a rhythmic pattern, in sync with her breathing. She was out cold.
Aqua grimaced. "Great, another one's asleep. Wake up damn it!" She screeched, stomping her foot against the tiled floor.

"Perfect" Kalina smiled, watching Lunar begin to throw lots of rocks in the water where the bubbles were rising. She was planning to bury Mi completely in rocks.

Aqua made a face at Kalina. "That's not very nice, burying my poor Milotic like that..." Hands on her hips, her icy gaze shifted to the pokemon in the pool. Rocks circled Mi, some even landed on top, but she still slept.

"Then again, you're not acting very nice yourself" Kalina told her, watching Lunar continue Rock Throw. "You really should act better if you want any friends." She just continued to watch Lunar, smiling at her performance.

"I don't need friends," Aqua snapped, wrinkling up her nose at Kalina's words. "Especially not ones dressed like you are. What the hell are you supposed to be, anyway? You look completely out of place here, and your pokemon aren't much better..."
Still, it was hard to argue with the facts. She was losing terribly. Short bursts of anger were only to save face, and not let the opposition know she was worried about her pokemon.
Milotic let out a small cough, and flipped over. But she didn't wake up. More and more rocks threatened to crush the very life out of her.

"Don't you dare insult me or my Pokemon!" Kalina yelled, now getting very angry. The hand that held her wand shook violently, the urge to turn her into a Magikarp rising very quickly. "Besides..." A small smile crept across her face. "I can tell you're worried about your Pokemon."

She stiffened. "I couldn't care less about my pathetic Milotic," her gaze met Kalina's firmly, icy blue eyes not showing an ounce of compassion. She was unable to bring herself to glance into the pool, where Milotic was finally waking up.
Luckily, the barrage of rocks had missed striking her in the head, but she was now pinned to the bottom of the pool due to several large boulders resting on her tail-fin. Mi squirmed and wiggled, trying to free herself.

"Don't lie to me" Kalina laughed. "You can act all tough and pretend not to care, but deep down, you care greatly for your Pokemon. You can't hide your true feelings from me." Lunar continued to use Rock Throw, seeing as it was working well so far.

Aqua continued to glare, but said nothing. There was nothing left to say.
The long awaited blow to the head finally occurred. One of the last boulders thrown struck Mi on the back of the skull, knocking the Milotic out. Aqua bit her lip. Damn! Re-calling Mi, her third and final pokeball was tossed into the pool.
A Lapras, more powerful than both of Aqua's previous pokemon, swam along the surface of the pool. She eyed the bloody rocks that had collected at the bottom warily.

"Your final Pokemon" Kalina said with a smile, recalling her Lunatone. "Well, guess it's time for a treat. Staroulder, you're up" she said, releasing her Pokemon. The star rock eyed the Lapras and realised he was all alone in this battle. <I'll do my best> he told Kalina, starting with Confusion.

"Confuse ray!" Aqua commanded through gritted teeth. It was all she could force herself to say. She wanted nothing more than to tackle Kalina to the ground and beat the hell out of her. Hands balled into tight fists, but she didn't move an inch.
Ignoring the throbbing pain in the back of her head, La fired a bright beam of light at Staroulder, attempting to confuse him. She studied him closely - she'd never seen a Pokémon like him before.

Landing it's mark, the Confuse Ray immediately confused Staroulder, causing him to fly around in a daze. He then began to use Water Pulse all around the arena.

La was able to dodge the water pulse. Even if it had hit, it wouldn't have dealt much damage since she was a water-type herself.
"Water pulse," Aqua was rapidly losing interest in the battle. She sighed, arms dangling idly at her sides. This was going terribly.
Sensing her trainer's hesitance, La fired her own water pulse at Staroulder.

Kalina dodged out of the way of Water Pulse, only to see Staroulder get hit by La's attack. Thankfully, this seemed to snap him out of it, so she commanded "Rock Throw!" She knew Lapras was an Ice type as well as water, so hopefully this should do a bit of damage.

Aqua rolled her eyes. "Rock throw again? Don't your pathetic pokemon know any moves other than rock throw and hypnosis?"
Being as bulky as she was, La was unable to dodge the rocks that were sent her way. She squealed in pain, large purple bruises beginning to form on her thick skin. A few of the rocks had broken the skin, and a few droplets of blood slowly seeped out.
Aqua bit her lip. Time to try a different tactic altogether. "Rain dance!" She hoped La could make it stormy enough for her attacks to be more effective. Although they were indoors, surely she could make it rain a little.
La gave a nod, glowing slightly blue. She began to swim in circles, faster and faster with each pass. A few droplets of rain splashed into the pool. The faster she swam, the more it rained, until finally it was pouring.

Staroulder sighed, being hit by the rain really wasn't a good thing for him. "It's okay, just take it easy" Kalina told him. "Use Confusion now." Turning to Aqua, she said "I'm not that strong, alright. They haven't been able to gain the larger variety of their attacks."

Aqua grinned. "Of course you're not that strong, any idiot could have told me that." she sneered, arms folded tightly across her chest. "Now water pulse!"
Confusion had done it's job - temporarily confused from the attack, La fired water in random directions, power heightened by the downpour.
