The long-haired girl stared at the pokeball in her hand. It wasn't quite the pokemon she had hoped for, but still, it was her starter pokemon. There were to be together from then on. Of course, she hadn't heard that trainers' closest pokemon were being stolen from them yet.
She pressed the button on the pokeball, and in a flash of light, the skitty was there. It began chasing its tail happily, mewing every few second. Finally, it rolled onto its back and batted at the air.
For some strange reason, Kal wanted to give it a weird name.
"I'll call you Camouflage."
Camouflage mewed again, and sat up straight. Kaliska began to trudge on towards the next place to go, and she checked her ruined map to see where. Camouflage followed after her without hesitation .

<"Murrrr."> Came softly from a clump of nearby bushes. Whatever this creature was, it was watching the trainer and Skitty with great curiosity. <"Murrr."> Emitted quietly once again from behind the bushes. Investigate the sound?

Without waiting, Camouflage raced over to the sound. It began sniffing through the bushes, and when it found the source, it pounced with a squeal of joy.
<GOTCHA.>
Kaliska raced after it, trying to find the pink pokemon hidden in the underbrush.
"Think before you act!"
She yelled, and stopped. The skitty's pink color was showing now. She quickly parted the bush, and gasped.

<"Whismur!"> The small, pink and orange Pokemon cried as the Skitty tackled it. <"Please don't hurt me, I've just never seen whatever she is before!"> The frightened Whismur pointed a shaky paw at Kaliska and gulped.

<Her? Oh! That's a human. She's my trainer. She's supposed to take care of me!>
The skitty mewed bashfully. Camouflage got off the whismur, letting it up again.
Kaliska was surprised to see the pink she saw hadn't been her skitty's. It was duller, and the pokemon who owned it was like a ball. She flipped her pokedex out and let it do the talking for once. It said that the pokemon she saw before her was a whismur.
Kal grinned. If she caught this one, she'd have two pink pokemon in her arsenal. Maybe if it challenged the skitty, she could just beat it in a battle, and be on her way. Kaliska didn't like pink very much. The color scared her a bit.
You know what would have been cool? A shiny whismur!
She thought.

<"Oh, oh. Okay then."> The Whismur said with a nod, but the attempted nod looked somewhat off due to the little normal type not exactly having a noticeable neck. <"A Trainer you say? So, so she just helps you train?"> Then the Whismur had a idea, maybe she could help them train. <"I could help you train I, I guess. I mean, if you want to.">

<Sure! Wanna battle?>
The skitty looked ready to pounce again. She waved her rump in the air, and finally rolled over and began batting at the bush above it again.
Kal looked quizzically at the pokemon. The pink whismur looked more sure than before, and didn't look as frightened.
"That's a relief."
She muttered. Apparently the pokemon wouldn't run off now. But the skitty was beginning to look ridiculous.

<"Oh, yes. That's what I meant, a battle!"> The Whismur exclaimed in a somewhat exited tone, this would be it's first battle. <"I'll, erm, let you go first. I think that's what I should say."> The unsure Pokemon said before poking the distracted Skitty lightly and attempting to take a strong stance.

Kaliska whistled while the pokemon talked, and looked away.
The skitty growled lightly, yet still playfully. It wasn't the attack though. Quickly it lunged in an attempted Fake Out attack, hoping to make the whismur flinch so it could land a tackle attack.
The sound of her pokemon made Kal turn her head sharply, and squeaked in surprise when her skitty attacked without command. She took a deep breath to keep from yelling at the cat pokemon, and just waited.
((short. dinnertime.))

OOC: Dessa isn't on.. so..
The Fake Out hit the Whismur, but sadly, no flinch. "Whis!" + Ow, that hurt. I'll get you! + It said happily, almost as if they were playing tag. It started yelling, and started an uproar, screeching so loudly that it'd hurt someone.

The skitty was blown back and knocked off its feet, tumbling back into the bush. It stood up and shook itself, completely ignoring the trainer behind it.
"C'mon, use Fake Out again!"
Kaliska cried, hoping to recieve the pink pokemon's attention. The skitty dove in with the attack without thinking, aiming once more the whismur.

The Whismur rolled back into a small ball to avoid the full brunt of the attack; its reactions had slown, however, for it was not too hasty to get up, and instead, tried to continue its Uproar again.

The skitty was nearly blown back again, but this time it was ready. Kal swore under her breath. She began to calculate the best move, when the skitty suddenly got an idea. Maybe it could tackle the pokemon back into the bush... It began to move slowly around, trying to make it so the whismur was behind it. Then it barreled into the other pokemon.
If the whismur was hit, it would be knocked back into the bush and possibly be caught in the underbrush.

The Whismur was blown back by the Skitty's sudden, non-commanded strike and sent tumbling into the thick interior of a nearby bush; just like the Skitty had planned. <"Whis, whis!"> The small, pink and orange Pokemon cried as it struggled to free itself from a few stray vines that had caught it in their tangly grasp. The Whismur's defenses were wide open and vulnerable for attack.

Kaliska was now cheering for the skitty, because it seemed to neglect the fact that she was there. Finally, she decided to remind it of her existance.
"Use tackle again, try to drive it further back!"
She yelled, waving at the pink pokemon. The skitty glanced at her, then decided to follow her command. After all, she was its trainer. It charged again at the caught pokemon, neglecting the fact that if it ran into the bush, it would get caught as well.

Bam. The Tackle hit the vulnerable Whismur in full-on accuracy, but luckily the force set it free and let itself roll from the bush's inside and onto the ground. <"Murr."> It muttered before fainting.
Skitty gains 1 level. Whismur has fainted, you may now catch it if you wish.

The skitty poked the fainted whismur with its tail, before struggling free of the bush. It nudged the whismur until it lay hidden in the bush so no passing predator could find it while it lay there. Then it returned to its trainer, who returned it with a sigh.
"Next time wait for me."
She said into the pokeball, before letting out her other pokemon, a shiny umbreon she had acquired by chance.

{Whis!} The Pokémon cried, getting pounded by the Tackle Attack. {Not bad,} The Whismur added, in between breathes. It's getting oblivious that this little guy is really starting to get weaken.
