"Naga, hang in there! Now that you've got your opponent, use Bite! Re, start things off with a Smoke Erupt! Stop that ice attack!"
Allowing flames to explode from her neck a second time, Re used Smoke Erupt. The fireworks had a bit more edge on them this round, however, and aimed at evaporating Ice Pebble before it even made contact. She wasn't going to let a similar thing happen again. Despite this, Re felt confident, especially after she defeated her first enemy single handedly.
Cringing in pain, Naga tried to focus. Baring his fangs and biting down, he aimed to clamp Delibird in his jaws. The pecking was taking a toll on his already tender skin (it was cold out...and he was a reptile), so it was only necessary that he give his squirming opponent a reason to stop. He was going to be finished soon, anyway..or so he thought. Arrogant worm.

You could tell it had gotten colder, Karyn's Jaw began to hit against each other at a very fast speed. She then took her hands and folded them over each other so she could soak up some of the heat that she had been emitting, during that whole time she hadn't looked at the battlefield once, as Santa was bit very hard in the back. Santa shrieked once as Santa was able to squirm his way free. Santa was to busy, getting away before he then got some distance from Naga.
For Nubby it had been a different story, the Smoke Erupt had clouded the battlefield with a black gas, that made it impossible to see, they were both fighting blindly. Nubby blindly used a Ice Wind attack on Re, hoping it was able to make a decent hit.
'Good Job, keep it up!' said Karyn as she began a slight cough from the Black smoke.

"Don't let it take the skies! Naga, Flamethrower!" Chase instructed. Rushing as fast as his snakely body could go, Naga's jaw unhinged (snakes can do that as he released a devastating Flamethrower. He didn't want Present bombs dropped on him. No. Not again. Getting colder, it felt nice to use a fire attack. Re, pumping her fist in success, suddenly caught another Icy Wind heading her way. Instinctively, she curled into a ball. On her own, she began to glow silver, indicating that she was about to use Gyro Ball. Zipping forward, she aimed at taking out Nubby, who's Icy Wind attack was more annoying and painful to Re than he ever knew.

((To lazy to look, but should Santa be fainting soon?))
'Good Job, Keep it up!' said Karyn as both of her pokemon did a shake as if they had already won the battle, as Sants had been flying upwards, the Flamethrower took her off-gaurd, as Santa began her descent back down onto the icy mountain. From where he was, he threw a present to Naga.
Nubb had dug into the snow, being able to dodge the Gyro Ball. Nubb had then launched an Icy Pebble attack once more, hoping to defeat Re, soon. Santa had been getting very tired, as Nubb's battle had just begun.

"Re, continue Gyro Ball! Spin around and knock that Delibird out of the skies! Naga, Dark Pulse!"
As soon as that Present dropped from the sky, Naga fired his attack. If it collided, then so be it, but he was not planning on getting blown up again. Gritting his large teeth together in annoyance, he then took a glance around as he tried to find Swinub.
Re did as instructed and hurled herself into the air, ready to take out Santa. Steel attacks were just as effective as fire ones in this case, and Re was just as eager as Naga to take that bird out of battle.

Knock the Delibird out of the skies? That it did. The little red bird plummetted down, hitting the snow with a dull thud. The white powder covered Santa from view, but it was safe to say he was taken care of. Karyn stared sadly at the hole in the snow. Withdrawing the bird, she turned back to the battle. "Another Icy Pebble!" Nubb's wing covered his blue body, making him nearly impossible to see inside his snow-hole. Flecks of icy snow started to slowly dart out of his hole, hard like rocks but not quite ice. The stream thickened as the attack reached its climax.

Caught off guard, Naga was hit in the face by Ice Pebble. His bare skin freezing, it was suddenly warmed up as he lit up in rage. How dare that little pig throw an ice ball in his face?! Impudent fool! Doing his own thing, Naga lashed forward, fangs bared for a Bite attack. Not even sure where he was going, he plowed into the snow, making a guess.
"Naga, CALM DOWN!" Chase yelled, annoyed at her Pokémon's ridiculous temper, "Re, use Flame Wheel and circle the area. Melt the snow so we can find that Swinub!"
Nodding, Re unfurled before refurling into a ball. This time she became a ball of fire instead of a steel weight. She did as she was told, going around in a circular formation, trying to surface said Swinub. No one knew where it was.

At the sound of the snow being plowed by the snake's fangs, the Swinub had to flinch to keep itself from jumping up in surprise. It heard the sound of flames coming right towards it, but it didn't do anything as of yet.
Suddenly, a hole was made to the side of the pig's hiding spot, made from Re's flame wheel. Small pig pokemon panicked, and started to shoot 'Ice Pebble' in every direction it could see.

Naga reared his ugly head, and just as he spotted his foe, a huge ball of ice blocked his mouth. Suffocating, the snake Pokémon lashed in all directions, flailing his tail in particular as it glowed purple; a sign of a Poison Tail attack.
Re, noticing her comrade's distress, rushed over as she continued to evaporate whatever snow she could in the area. Arriving on time to melt the massive boulder in Naga's mouth, the serpent collapsed from exhaustion as he was pelted by several more. Re took it upon herself to find Swinub and take care of it, and, finally, she would spot it in the snow.
Chase sighed, returning Naga. His temper was horrible, and even she knew she had to somehow control it. Out of fairness, she chose not to send out another Pokémon. It was one on one now. Re and Swinub.
Getting hit by ice herself, Re blasted a Flamethrower to rid herself of the annoyance - and her foe.

The poor Swinub was flung back and fell onto its back, small legs curling inward like dead bugs when they die. It was safe to assume the pokemon fainted.
The trainer returned her pokemon, sniffing. She began to skate off, only to run into a snow plow. "MEANY!" she yelled, hobbling away.
All pokemon that participate under level 20 gain one level, if not, half a level!

"Alright!" Chase cheered happily, "...Wait..I wasn't...Ergh"
Sighing, she returned her Pokémon and pressed on. She wasn't trying to be a jerk...but it had been a tough battle despite her advantage. Atleast she knew now what she would be facing. Pulling herself together, she pressed on to the next gym. She still had some training to do before she got there.

A bit further away, a little tree shivered in the cold. A bit of green poked from under the white snow, swaying slightly in the wind. A weak cry was drowned by the sound of the wind blowing the snow around.

"What's that?" the shivering trainer exclaimed, stuttering a little.
Her eyes narrowed as she focused in. Was it some kind of Sudowoodo or something?... She tilted her head, trudging closer.

A Sudowoodo shivered under a thin blanket of snow, tree-like arms wrapped around itself. <Sudo!> it cried out. What was a pokemon like Sudowoodo doing in the snow?

Chase blinked. Damn, she was good at guessing games. Two for two! "Do you need help?" she asked, noticing the rock Pokémon's distress as she edged closer.

At first, it was reluctant to allow the trainer to approach it. It struggled harder, desperate to free itself from it's snow-prison. However, as it's temperature dropped and color paled, it relaxed a bit. Maybe this girl wasn't going to hurt it too badly. It could only pray.
"Sudoooh." It cried miserably.

Looking through her bag, she knew she was going to need a Pokémon to better communicate with Sudowoodo. She could definately tell that it was uncomfortable and likely to do as she instructed, but she wasn't about to make a silly assumption. She knew what this Pokémon was capable, and a Mimic or Low Kick attack in the face didn't sound too appealing.
"Ah.." she muttered, finding a good match, "Shoulda kept her out...I'll do it now" Dropping a Pokéball on the ground, Re re-emerged. Igniting the flame on her back, even she was cold.
"Do you want to come with us? Re here can warm you up" Chase offered, a little wary of what the animated tree might try on them. Re nodded her head reassuringly.

Pokemon reached for the flames, in a desperate attempt to warm itself up. Body temperature rising, the snow around it began to melt. Slowly, but just enough for it to pull itself free.
"Suudah~" It cooed, extending a branch to Re in a friendly gesture of gratitude.

Re didn't show much emotion in response to Sudowoodo's thanks, but acknowledged the tree Pokémon by nodding as if she were indicating a 'you're welcome'.
"Should we guide you to the next town, Sudowoodo?" Chase asked, pointing in the next city's direction. They were damn close, and she was still damn eager and still damn cold. "You could come with us too if you'd like...I could really use a rock Pokémon on my team" she admitted, "The decision is yours. We'll at least get you out of this blizzard"

The Sudowoodo thought a bit, still shivering violently. It finally answered, "I think I'd like to come with you. If you don't mind that is!" It really wanted to get out of here at any rate.
