Pirate girl smiled, picking up the pokeball and throwing it into her bag. "I shall have me revenge soon enough...soon enough." Then she looked towards her Zubat. "Aye, the northern winds be picking up. We should be going before zee storm rolls in." Besides any gusts left over from the Pidgey's fight, there was no wind, so either Captain Thunder had some extra sense that most humans possess, or she was just making it all up. "Well cummon. Iain'tgonnawaitforyewallday!" With that, pirate girl sprinted down the first route. Shadow Zubat followed close behind.

On the route that Captain Thunder was on, a petite elephant had been rolling contently into a tree. A few berries fell onto the dry earth, and the famished little pokemon vacuumed most of them up into it's nostrils.
After devouring quite a lot, it rolled into the tree again and a bunch of berries were shaken from their branches, splashing onto the ground a few times. The phanpy squealed in delight and nudged a few everywhere, as if they were smooth, round marbles. After helping itself to another bite of the scrumptious little spheres, it noticed the trainer sprinting towards it. Eyes widening in fright, it scooped the berries in it's little nose and placed them back on the side of the route. Since it said nothing the whole time, it appeared to have something wrong with it; pokemon of it's kind usually let out a noise whenever they were frightened, and this little one had said nothing at all.
Do you approach, or Move on?

Captain Thunder watched the little pokemon in fascination as it rammed up against the tree. Quite strong for such a cute little critter. But there seemed to be something wrong with it. The girl shrugged. Nothing could be wrong-er than the little bird she had just caught; a silent pokemon would be welcome after its incescent noise-making.
Unaware that she had been spotted by it as well, the girl tiptoed closer, trying to get a better look at the pokemon. Perhaps, if she was lucky, she'd catch this one as well. It would make a great addition to her crew, perhaps teach a lesson or two to that annoying bird she had accquired.
Zubat continued to fly above its trainer, not particularly interested in the other pokemon. He seemed more content to watch the bright little red spheres roll along the route. Food never ceased to be on this pokemon's mind. The bat type prepared to swoop in, more than ready for lunch.

The small elephant paid no attention to the shadow zubat who was swooping down to it's food, and instead stared at the trainer shyly without uttering a sound. Then it crawled up to the trainer and gently nudged against her leg, as if it wished to play. However, playing wasn't on it's mind; it had to tell the trainer about it's problem somehow. But how?

Trainer stared at the pokemon, a little taken aback by it's friendliness. No, a friendly pirate was never a good sign. Perhaps it wasn't as perfect as she thought. The captain stepped back aways and waved her hands a little, as if to shoo the pokemon off. Meanwhile, the Zubat helped himself to a tastey snack.

The phanpy smiled faintly and opened its mouth to say something, but a hoarse cough escaped its throat instead of a bleat. Sighing, it got up and picked up a stick with its trunk. Then it etched a message into the dirt:
'HELLO. I a m myout'
Then it tossed the stick away and gestured to the message with its trunk.

"A MY-OOT?!?!?!" Pirate girl exclaimed, "WHAT THE HECK IS A FREAKING MY-OOT?" The girl squinted at the Elephante. "And all this time, I thought you were a deck-swabbing pirate-type pokemon." Captain Thunder scratched her head. "I don't know if we have any room for no MY-OOTS."
The Zubat just watched as his strange trainer freaked out over the Elephante. He smiled. He half expected her to not be able to read the simple text. Perhaps he had underestimated his non-conventional trainer.

The phanpy tilted its head slightly as the pirate-like girl let out a holler. Opening its mouth a bit, it tried to talk, but all that emitted from its mouth was a weak squeak. Sighing, it wrote another message, as messed up as the other;
'EY KANUTT TAWAK.'
Then it put the stick down and looked back up at the trainer.

"A CAN-NEWT-TAH-WHAK?" the girl read, a confused look on her face, "Ya know, it'd be a lot easier if you'd just open up your mouth and tell me what in Pete's name's the matter!" She studied what the pokemon had written. "Aye-itz a coder-eh?" The captain looked up toward her Zubat. "Ere that? Thizlittle guy wants us to figure out 'is code!" Pirate girl flopped down on the ground and mumbled something about "tawak." Finally, she looked up at Phampy and said, "Fine. I don't give up, but whydonchajoinus for the time bein' and I'll decode dis thing later, eh?"

Once again, the phanphy opened it's mouth, but nothing came out, it picked up the stick and tried again, tilting it's head and raising a brow at the stupidity of this pirate.
In the sand it wrote: 'Ey Lisit moi veaice.
It hoped to got that this stupid person could understand, that what it meant to say was: "I lost my voice. It was thinking humans are sooooooooo stupid.

But this time, the girl didn't even bother reading what was written in the sand. "Look, I ain't got no time for yer stupid games now. But, if ye'd like to come with meh, I'll figure it out later, 'kay?" And with that, pirate girl turned to leave. The Shadow Zubat only shook his head and gave an apologetic glance towards the Phampy. His trainer was no help.

The phanpy sighed, and followed the trainer, stumbling over a few rocks as it went. Then, grinning a little, it rammed against the pirate girl's leg, giggling quietly for a bit. Then it let out a hoarse cough, and kept going.

"Hey watchit willya?" pirate girl said, a little annoyed, but not realizing that the Phampy had done it on purpose. "That's an order from yer captain runt." Captain Thunder looked up at the sky. "Now where might we be going now, eh?" Her words suggested that she was lost, her actions that she was worried about the weather.

Phanpy stomped around on a couple of flowers. It was obviously trying to attract attention. Staring back up at the pirate girl, Phanpy's tail swished to and fro. Play time!

"Whaddayawant now?" Pirate girl asked, a little annoyed that this pokemon seemed to be slowing her down. "Wanme to throwastick er somethin'?" Captain thunder picked up something that resembled a stick in one way or another and through it as far up the route as she could. Maybe they could get some distance this way.

Phanpy dashed after the object with haste, tongue lolling out of it's mouth.
....
Several minutes later, Phanpy returned with the object. It placed the item by the pirate girl's feet. Nudging it with it's trunk, it obviously wanted to play some more.

At this point, she had managed to take five steps in the direction of route two before getting utterly distracted by a falling leaf. She was awakened from her thought (which was no longer of the leaf, but a variety of other topics spurred on by the leaf) by the Phampy's nudge. "Dangit," the girl muttered, picking up the stick, and throwing it even farther this time. Captain Thunder was determined to keep a nice pace so that they could possibly...just maybe reach somewhere else by night fall.

Instead of running to fetch the stick, it kept sitting in front of the trainer, tongue hanging out of its mouth like a dog's. Then it nudged the trainer's leg again, and jumped up really high.

"Nowhaddayawant?" she asked, not making any attempt to mask her anger. "I threw yer darnstickalready!" The girl squinted as the pokemon jumped really high. She hadn't been expecting that to say the least. "Well as for me, I'm gunna go rit down this here route, see? And if you wanna follow me, well, I'mnutgunnastopya. Otherwise, yeh can getcherbutt back to yer mama."

The Phanpy cocked its head to the side, unable to understand but seeming to merely acknowledge the Pirate Girl speaking. Wagging its small tail to and fro slowly, it seemed to consider its next move before bolting off.
Hm? Where could it be off to?
