Sandra was sitting by the lake, singing to the song Glamorous by Fergie, which was playing on her iPod. She wore a spotted pink bikini top with a matching bottom, which was covered by a skirt of the same pattern and material. Her sandals were several feet from the shoreline, along with her pack. Pure Magic was grazing in the shade of a pine tree, attracted to the spot by the tender green shoots and spicy pine scent. The Juinicorn was quite content grazing alone. Burning Love was curled behind her trainer, safely away from the water. Naturally, like most fire Pokémon, the Vulpix didn't like the cool water. Her burgundy tails covered her nose and half of her face, amber-brown eyes closed in her peaceful slumber. Soft snores rose from her, undisturbed by Sandra's singing. "G L A M O R O U S, we flying first class up in the sky, poppin' champagne, living the life, in the fast lane, I won't change for the glamorous, oh the flossy flossy." The blonde's singing was a bit flatter than the required pitch, but no one was around to hear- right? Anyway, what was the blue-eyed girl doing here? I mean, she loved grass Pokémon? Truly she figured she'd leave the training for the routes and such. She came here just to have fun and take a break. Wait. Take a break from what? She's only on route one!

The tranquil afternoon silence was shattered suddenly by a big, ugly splash. A rather unattractive pokemon rose to the surface of the shallow lake, shooting a weak stream of water at Sandra.
"Feeeeee," Hideous pokemon seemed to laugh to itself.

The first thing Sandra did was rip the earphones off of her head and throw them behind her, thunking Burning Love on her head, making her wake. +Aw, now, why did you have to go and do a thing like that?+ she moaned, crossing her "socked" paws over her face in attempt to go back to sleep. Sandra's eyes were pulled tightly shut, lips pressed together as she was hit. Her hair was darkened to a dark amber, and it was now slightly knotted. Oh, now it was on. Mess with the hair and it's over. "You just wrote your own suicide note," she whispered, standing up. Burning Love rolled over a bit, as Sandra had been her support. She looked wildly around. Spotting the Febas, she scrambled up and hid behind Sandra's legs, poking her head out to look at the dull, ugly fish. Well, she was only a kit. "You wimp." Sandra gently shoved Love with her foot, pushing her ahead to face the Febas. +Why can't Magic do it?+ she whined. "You're a lower level. Get to it." Pure Magic's small ears were pricked towards their directions, coffee brown eyes gentle and knowing. Flaring her slim nostrils, she tossed her mane and cleaved the air with her curved horn. At a brisk trot, she came down towards the scene. Sandra's arm blocked the mare. "This is Love's battle." +That's murder.+ "How do you expect her to grow if you don't give her room?" The Juinicorn hesitated with an answer, then snorted and backed up a few steps. +She only knows Ember, Tail Whip, and Roar...+ "We'll make it work." The fox kit was shaking in her cocoa pelt, scared to face the water Pokémon.

Offending Feebas seemed to smile at approaching Vulpix. It flopped uselessly out of the water, doing little more than splashing crystal-clear water around. "Feeeb feeeb!" It chanted, splashing a few more times for good measure.
Sure is a useless thing.

Burning Love's shaking subsided. She was still, simply staring at the flopping Feebas. What the hell. It's just flopping there. +That. I was afraid of that? You have to be kidding me.+ Suddenly, an idea evolved in the young kits mind. Happily she pranced over to the Feebas and poked it with her paw. She seemed to find this funny. Giggling, she continued to poke it with her chocolate paw. +Haha. I'm poking you and you can't do nothing about it!+
Sandra slapped her hand to her face. "Oi..." she mumured. Louder, she said, "Dammit, attack it!" Right. This was her warrior.
+Oh. Right.+ Moving back a bit, the fox shot a series of small fire balls at the Feebas.
Pure Magic watched the two with amusement, from the poking to the Ember attack. The little kit was so childish, and so ignorant. But, as long as she wasn't dieing, Magic would just sit back and watch.

"Feeeeeb!" Fish was suddenly frantic. Even the inaffective embers damaged it's frail body. It continued to flop about uselessly, trying to avoid whatever flames it could. Unfortunately, all the flopping seemed to tire it out. With a sigh, it turned over, exposing it's spotted belly. Useless fish floated upside-down in the water, waiting to die or be captured. They both seemed equally as terrible.

Sandra watched the poor exposed fish. Okay, so it wasn't the most... epic battle they could have had. Catch it? It was a small, useless fish. How in the hell of it would it be useless. Briefly she remembered a photo of Mitolic. Could something so beautiful and graceful come from something so ugly and plain? Flicking her tongue off her teeth, she pulled out a ball. +You're catching it?+ "Yes. Might evolve." She threw it at the fish.

((Any levels for my beloved Vulpix gained?))
Shrugging, Sandra rolled the ball into her bag, safly amoung her clothes and such. Bending down, she picked up her iPod, only to find it, to her dismay, dead. "Dammit." Tucking it into her pack pocket, she slipped into the pure water, sighing as the cool water hit her warm skin. She went waist deep and sat down, water stopping at her jawline. Her blue eyes closed against the sun and her muscles loosened.
Burning Love just watched her trainer. +So that's it? No praise? No "good job"? That was my FIRST battle! Aren't ya gonna say something? Anything?+
Sandra chose to ignore the fox, sending it into a rant, which both Sandy and Magic tuned out.

ooc; Mhm. Would you really call it a battle?
ic; A small spider pokemon danced across the water lightly, small ripples decending from where it moved. Gliding on water as though it were ice, the Surskit scrutinized the new trainer and pokemon with interest. "Surs?" is asked, questioningly.
Translation;
<Why do you sink into the water like that? Can't you walk across?>

((... I dunno. XD An attack was used to faint it, so... Half a point? J/k))
Sandy jumped, upsetting the water. Why was everything popping up out of nowhere? Eyeing the blue spider, she pushed herself up on higher ground, so the upper half of her body was above the smooth lake surface. "Because I'm too heavy to float. I can swim, and I can float on my back, but it's not exactly on top of the water. And if I tried to walk across, my foot would just sink into the water." She nodded to Love and Magic. "Same with them, except I wouldn't put confidence into Love's swimming and floating abilities..." The Vulpix stuck her tongue out, rolling her brown eyes.

The Surskit tilted its head.
<But it's so EASY.> said the pale blue pokemon, spinning in circles across the lake as though to show it. <I don't get it!>
Either the Surskit has hearing problems or merely is poor at comprehending. Oh, well.

"It- never mind." Sandra took a deep breath and slid beneath the water, as if to escape the annoying little bug. For whatever reason, a thought came to her, telling her to morph. Slowly she changed form, body growing larger and striped, blue eyes deepening in shade. She started to push towards the surface as her lungs cried for air, breaking the surface quickly. Her black belly fur clung to her stomach, and her white fluff stuck up in clumps. Burning Love stared at the Arcanine. +SPIT UP MY TRAINER, YOU MONSTER!+ she yelled, bearing her teeth. Sandy began to chuckle, shaking the water from her head. "Love, I am your trainer. I'm a morph. I told you that after the first three minutes we met..." Rolling her eyes she began to follow the shoreline. Magic smirked at the little kit. So foolish. Slapping the kit's side with her tail, Magic followed after the large Arcanine, leaving Love to glare after them. +She's not getting away with that!+ The Vulpix bounded after the two, yapping insults and complaints.

((-SQUEEEEEE- IcanfinallyuseHunternowthatsomeonebroketheruuuuules! I'm sorry I sound so happy, but I've been wanting to use Hunter for so long now...) He had been walking for a long time, in search of his prey. Wrapped in thick, dark cloth, the one only known as the Hunter traveled the region. He had only one goal in life, and that was to destroy all pokemorphs. Pokemon and human were not meant to be combined. It was unnatural, sick, wrong. He seemed to almost sense Sandra's presence as she transformed. Closing his eyes, he tried to get a hold of himself. He has promised not to kill anyone anymore, but the urge was certainly there. The instinct to kill, to tear apart... Through the forest, he moved silently, slowly approaching. There! There she was! He could not be mistaken... His eyes rested upon the Arcanine. A hand reached into his pocket and he took out a weird device. It looked like a pokeball, but not quite. There was an extra orb at the mouth of the ball, glowing eerily. It was used to capture the powers of a pokemorph, forcing it back to their human form without any possibility to change back. The form would rest in the pokeball forever, until he destroyed it. "Go, Blastoise," he whispered in a deep and gruff voice. The pokemon was released from her pokeball and she looked around, before spotting her trainer's prey. "Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way," whispered the man, stepping out of the shadows and making himself known. "Change back and cooperate and no one gets hurt." His blastoise was right behind him, ready to strike if danger arose. (Refer to here for the rules and here for Hunter's profile. The hard way includes me forcing the power out of your character with no hope of ever doing well... anything anymore, and the easy way, simply taking it way with no hard feelings, with the possibility for you to still use minor abilities.)

((-Reads first paragraph- Oh shit. -Reads rules- Dammit! Ugh. I loved her morph form.))
Orange-brown ears angled towards Hunter's direction before her gaze met his. Blue fire raged in her eyes as she saw him. Her lips curled to bear white canines, showing her refusal. "What do you want and what the hell is your problem?" she hissed, blocking her Pokémon from harm. Snorting, Magic circled around to keep her coffee-brown eyes on the stranger, curved horn ripping the air in threat despite the Blastoise's superior level. Brave though she was, it seemed to be in vain. Sandy seemed to sense this. They'll be mauled... "In your balls. Now. Both of you." Protests rose from the both. With a frustrated sigh, Sandra wheeled to face them. "Now." Both returned grudgingly to their Pokéballs, leaving Sandy alone to face Hunter. Her fluffy tail twitched as she planned a strategy. Slowly, one large paw after another stepped back. Retreat. That seemed to be her only option. And it was, wasn't it? Did she stand a chance? Probably not. A hot wave of anger swept over her. Fleeing. That's what she was doing. Like a coward. Like her mother. A loud, defiant bark erupted from her as she faced Hunter, no longer retreating. If she was going down, she was going down fighting.

((V: >.> I don't kill characters.))
"Fine. Is that how you want it?" asked Hunter. "Blastoise, get ready to bring that Arcanine down. Start with a Rain Dance!" The man glared at the canine from under his hood. The moment the Arcanine was down, he'd take the wrongness out of her and he'd be on his way. Rain started to fall as his pokemon summoned it. It started with a light shower but soon became torrents of water falling onto the ground, creating puddles by the dozen. He was soaked in a moment but could hardly care about it. "Now, Water Pulse!" His pokemon walked out from behind him and used the attack on the Arcanine, although a tad unwillingly. Her views weren't the same as her master's, but she wasn't going to disobey. Despite his rather unstable mind, she still loved him in a very... weird way.

"I won't go down without fighting for it," she replied evenly. It's the logic in my mind that says run, but the pride in my heart that says don't.
The first water drop struck her nose, making her look up at the cloudy sky. More drops followed as the rain grew heavier. Oh shit. The rain poured down, but she didn't move. Not even to shake the water off her striped pelt. Her blue eyes felt dry from constant blinking, and her pelt clung to her in a freezing blanket. A slight shiver twitched her skin, and she clenched her jaws so her large teeth wouldn't make a chattering noise. White-yellow fur drooped down to cover her eyes. With a few jerks of her head, she cleared her vision, only to see a thick rope of water heading towards her. Yet again, oh shit. Her muscles tensed beneath her before releasing like a pressed spring. She felt the water brush her tail. "Ha, bit- oof." Her paws slipped as she landed, bringing her to the mud. With a noise of disgust, she stumbled up, mud coating one side. She squinted to make out Hunter and his Pokémon's shilloettes. I really have to work on this grace thing, she thought as she felt the mud ooze down her pelt.

Hunter sneered at the pokemon. Pathetic. "Just give up. It'll be easier for both of us..." He readied to throw the special pokeball, but held back. He doubted that it would contain her high spirits in yet. "If not, you can always get aquainted to a hydro pump..." The Blastoise understood. Her canons were prepared and she took aim.
Please... just let him to his job... I don't want to hurt you, she thought. But if she was ordered to fire, she knew she'd to her best to mke the shot hit.

The rain and cold combined was getting to her. A hoarse cough escaped her as she slowly moved closer to the Blastoise. It would hurt less if she was up close and the water didn't have time to gain momentum. She was but a few feet from her opponent when she stopped. "I won't give up." It was a hoarse whisper, but loud enough to be heard of the rain. She rippled her muscles convulsively beneath her pelt and launched herself at the Blastoise in a Quick Attack. Since she was so close, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Every time she bounced off the shell, her back feet propelled her against it again. Eventually it got slower, and she came to a stop before going at the Blastoise again. Her large, canine head hung between her paw with heavy breathing. Wearily she lifted her head, sad, fighting eyes locking with those of Hunter's, and then the Blastoise. She seemed to know what was coming, but made no attempt to run or hide or beg. Standing with quiet pride, Sandra awaited the final blow.
