"Come on... Come on... We can beat it...! It...! Come on... Use Bite!" Marissa screamed, holding Volt in her arms as if he was her own child, and he looked as if he had fainted, other then the fact that he blinked his eyes now and then.
The shinx, lefted its front leg about to run forward so she could bite this Bug Pokemon...
Thunder bite herself! In the left front leg, think it was the enemy. It was pretty simple to tell that Thunder was confused, now.
"Noo..!" Marissa sighed, pulling out yet another Pokeball, if she needed it.
( Short... O.O )

The Ledyba's sensitive ears cried out at the humans high pitched 'scream cheering', covering its ears until she finally shut up.Time and luck was on its side, because the Shinx was actually attacking herself. Perfect, now all that was left was a bunch of Tackles.
<I hope the confusion lasts...It never does though.> It said with a roll of its eyes, before flying up into the air. A couple feet seemed enough, because it needed to stay close enough to make its own attacks. Its wings made a gentle hum as it dived down, missing the Shinx on the first try until it dived down again. Flying straight down for the most power in its Tackle attack.
((Don't worry about it. ^^ My posts end up getting short too. ))

<Ehhhhhh....!?> The Shinx yelled as it was tackled by the Leyba.
She forced herself back to her feet, still confused and Marissa waved her hand, "Your doing... Good... Thunder..." She lied, sliding her hand across her hair, and finger her orange colored bangs.
"Alright, Thunder... Use... Spark! Please dont fail on me..!" Marissa nearly whinned, Thunder was her closest Pokemon and her first, and she never wanted to see her Pokemon lose.
Even without a thought, the Shinx used Spark... But on herself. It felt funny to her to feel her own move run threw her body and drain her engery, she looked at the Leybam still a hint of confusion in her eyes.

<Good? Who's confused around here?> The Ledyba questioned with a roll of the eyes, thinking Marissa's words to be rather humorous if it wasn't so serious about the battle. Waving it off, it turned to give another focused glance at the Shinx. The confusion still rested in her eyes, and she was attacking herself, another bonus for the bug type.
Beginning to get into a risky and gambling mood, it hovered behind the Shinx. Then circling around her, over and over. Just inches away from a possible bite attack, or even a spark if she jumped high enough. After a bit of teasing and messing around, it finally went forward with a Tackle.

Suddenly Thunder snapped out of her confusion without even having to think about what all had happened, and she quickly moved to the side so the Bug Pokemon missed her by nearly an inch.
Marissa smiled, "Spark." She ordered but in a kind way, and the Shinx let out a soft moaning sound as if it had used that attack many times.
Thunder then as quickly as she could used Spark hopping it would hit the Leyba.

With the Shinx dodging the attack, there was no where else for the Ledyba to land except the hard and unforgiving ground. Falling with a loud crash against the cold dirt, it lifted its head up wearily to see the Shinx heading towards it.
Obviously it wasn't confused this time, not like it mattered. It was heading right for the Ledyba, and there wasn't anything it could possibly do except watch in surprise as the Spark launched it into the air. Crying out in pain as it was sent flying into the air, and landing once again harshly, except a few feet away from the electric type. By the time the cloud of dust had settled down, there were swirls in its eyes. It was just one too many Spark attacks.
All participating Pokemon gain a level. Capture or move on?

Marissa giggled, setting Volt down on the ground who seemed to be doing better. She pulled out an empty Pokeball, "Got you now, Leyba!" Even if she already had one, how would it hurt? She could have another, who knew later on she might do something with it.
She threw the Pokeball, waiting for it to capture the Leyba. She smiled at her Shinx and tipped her rainbow colored hat, before removing her rainbow colored spring jacket. It seemed to be getting warmer out or was that just her?
<Ha! I told you! I told you I could win, I knew I could!> The Shinx hollored to the Bug Pokemon.

The Ledyba was practically unconscious by now, anything that the others said it couldn't register in its mind. Not that it mattered, since it had an all new battle in front of it. A Pokeball was launched at it, and with a tiny thump on its head, it was sucked into it. Turning into a red light, its 'elemental energy' as some would call it was transferred inside. Making just small enough to fit inside the tiny red and white sphere. Once inside, it had the chance to fight back the controlling binds of containment, but it had no energy to do so. Just letting the darkness of the Pokeball take over as it went into a long period of sleep. You have captured~

Marissa skipped forward to the Pokeball, and sighed as she picked it up. "Yet another, Pokemon, I dont have a need for but I keep them anyway."
A smile spread across her face, she was doing good! Thunder was nearly level Ten and Volt was level Two.
She paused, her two favorite Pokemon where, Electric types... And the Pokemon gym was...
<Hey! Hello! Are you ok? Can we go battle some more?> Thunders voice broke her away from her thoughts and she nodded.
"Yes, lets go battle some more."

Hidden by trees and by bushes, a creature, small and wielding a bone in one little hand, was bent over and weeping, the noise quiet but enough to make the skull on its head rattle. It was a Cubone, hiding there, and either something had happened to drive the ground-type to tears, or -- and this seemed like, since Cubones did tend to be somber things -- it had simply remembered something that saddened him that much.
Whatever the case was, it was sobbing, and soon the rattling of the skull grew louder as the sobs did. In no time at all the creature was howling, reaching under its skull-mask to rub at its eyes with the hand that didn't hold the bone, its tiny body trembling. The sound of crying was loud enough to reach Marissa and her Pokemon, as the Cubone was not far from the path and probably would have been easy to find if it was not hidden beneath plant-life.

Marissa looked up from talking to her Pokémon about how they did so well, and right as she was about to take a step, she heard the sound of crying.
She walked quickly to listening and trying to find its location.
Thunder was the one who found it.
<Hey... Hey.. Hey, you! Are you ok?> Thunder was not the caring kind, mostly and she had to fake a small smile to try and look like she really did mean it.
Marissa walked up and stood just behind Thunder, her newest, and highest leveled Pokémon Thor sat down and waited.

Its loud wails covered up the noises around it, even as the Shinx was prodding at it to try and quiet it down. Only while wiping away the evidence of its cries did it catch a glance of blue fur next to it. Two long streaks stained its skull, a side effect from the tears.
Mmm...I really don't want company right now. I don't think they'll leave though.' It thought as it gave a couple of sniffles, falling for Thunder's little act. She did appear sincere, but it couldn't help but feel like being in the center of attention. Its entire body turned a bright red from the embarrassment of its emotions letting themselves out. It hadn't meant to do it, but it couldn't help it. It was a need, an urge, almost.
<I-I'm fine!> It stuttered out as it took a couple of steps back, trying to hide into the foliage. Something to cover itself up with, because it couldn't stand all of this attention. The Shinx, the human, and the Electrike were all watching it. It couldn't help but feel shy around strangers, or anyone for that matter.

Thunder rolled her eyes walking closer to the Pokemon, <Hey, wanna battle? I think it might... Uhh... Make you feel better.> The shinx smiled only to frown as Thor came up. <Thunder,> He said in a calm and sweet tone, <Why do you always want to fight? I mean,> He flicked his gaze to the wild pokemon for a second, <If you get bugging it thats what you might just get... But I dont think it wants to be bothered...> <Ahhh, zip it Thor! Your new and even if your a higher level dose not make you better.> Thunder looked at the Wild Pokemon.
Marissa leaned on the nearest tree, pulling out a slice of beef jerky, and chewing on it slowly. She didnt even look a the pokemon, or even her own, "Thor, Thunder, lay off a bit. Give the pokemon some space," She smiled for a second, and looked at the clouds, "You can join are team if you want. I mean, yah... If you want, or you can battle if you like." She nodded, still not looking at the Wild Pokemon for anything.
( O.O Thor and Thunder dont mix to well... )

The Cubone winced as it saw the two electric types argue, it had never liked watching Pokémon fight unless it was for sport. Even so, it hated the possibility of fainting. Why did battles have to go so far? Then again, it wasn't as if the Pokémon were being killed or anything. Sighing as it found the ground more attractive than the others bickering, it could hear Marissa's kinder reasoning in the background.
Team? Like I'd fit in...It'd probably wouldn't be worth it either. It thought as it pondered the other option. A battle might actually be good for it. There was a point somewhere in Thunder's reasoning. Just something to distract it from its family and their stupid Cubone customs. Why did they always have to leave the children behind? Maybe that's why we're called the 'lonely Pokemon' It thought as it clutched the think piece of bone in its hand. It wasn't as good as a Thick Club, but it could still be of some use.
Naturally, Cubones had to be of higher level or else they would have no chance of survival. Unless they were still with their mothers, then they would be at an even lower level. It was simply strong enough to make a living out here, but it had picked up a few tricks from its parents. One of them, it learned earlier than usual. <I'll fight...I just don't know who I'd hafta fight to make it fair...I guess I'm good, but I don't want to fight someone with no experience.> It explained, looking at Thor to Thunder. Each sounded like strong fighters, but one had a higher level.

Thor stepped forward, and Thunder rolled her eyes as Marissa called her over.
The Electrike smiled at the Cubone, <You can attack me first then.> He shook his head slightly, it had been sometime scince he had been in a fight.
<Ready> He grinned again.
Marissa smiled, chewing on the jerky, she didnt even look at Thunder when she said, "You cant always be the one in a battle."

The Cubone was taken back by Thor's kind and friendly way of speaking about a battle. Heck, it wasn't even sure if it was some kind of trap or not. Shaking its skull to try and get rid of that idea, it nodded to confirm that a battle would be taking place between the two. The least it could do was take a couple of steps back, but that didn't work because all it did was trap itself in some foliage.
<Ugh...Wait, I need to get into a clearing. > It muttered, unwrapping itself from the vines and thorns as it walked around Marissa and Thunder, not even giving them a glance as it walked right onto the path. Now this was a big enough area to hold a battle! Batting its club on the ground, it began to use a Focus Energy to start off the battle.

Thor followed the Cubone as they moved to a better spot for battle, and grinned as the Pokemon used, 'Focus Energy'. He glanced at Marissa who said with a grin, "Spark."
Thor kept him gaze on the Cubone, as he used Spark.
Volt stood on Marissa's shoulder, looking at the battle happily. Thunder frowned, I was her first Pokemon! Why cant I battle? Why not me!?

The Cubones eyes perked up as Thor came charging forward with his Spark attack, one that it didn't have much reason to fear. To the Cubone, it was only a Tackle attack, the electricity meant nothing to it, and it never would.
In fact, it had a rather nasty idea. Raising up its thin club with a battle cry, its lightning rod ability kicked it, dragging the electricity away from Thor and onto its bone. Giving it a well practiced twirl, it held it up protectively in front of itself, to receive the 'tackle' move. Getting shoved back by the Electrikes power, it found itself getting more of a workout than it thought it would get.
I can't hit it, not with this bone... The Cubone thought over the alternatives as an idea came to it. If Thor didn't stop his 'tackle', then he would simply Headbutt him out of the way. Sliding the bone away from the electric type, it charged ahead ready for impact.

Thor crashed into the Cubone, as it used Headbutt and he tumbled along the ground for a while. Thor got to his feet, eyes narrowed at the Cubone as he heard Marissa's voice, "Quick Attack!"
The Electrike took a deep breath in and used Quick attack.

The Quick Attack was enough to finally shove Cubone onto its back, the speediness and strength of the attack was a little too much for it too handle. It wasn't one to give up easily, and got right back up with a fiery passion for battling.
<You're quick, I'll give you that.> It commented, giving another twirl of the thin piece of bone in its hands. Though the Electrike was quite the distance away from it, there was nothing wrong with chasing after with with a Bone Club attack in mind.
Thinking that it was close enough to make the perfect hit, it leaped into the air with its club raised above its head. Using it as one would use a sword, it clutched it on both hands while trying to 'slice' Thor. Or in this case, badly bruise him.
