"Good job, Irasu! Alright--" Alaina's command was cut short as a black blur rammed into her Larvitar. Irasu was thrown backwards only shortly after noticing that both of his attacks had worked. He had the wind knocked out of him when he fell onto the hard ground. With some amount of difficulty, he turned over onto his stomach and pushed himself up. He was almost certain that the Poochyena would be too far off to use a Bite attack by the time he'd be ready to attack. Plan A ruined. He turned around, and prepared to lunge forward with a Bite attack.
"Just use Leer! Don't get too close to it - he's faster than you. I don't want to risk a Bite attack... At least not this early on. Just let the Sandstorm do its job!" Seeing the logic in the plan, Irasu located the Poochyena and glared at it once more, hoping to lower its defenses yet again. Meanwhile, the Sandstorm continued to rage on, whirling around the makeshift battlefield.

Growling, Poochyena stared the Larvitar down even though the little Pokemon was using Leer. He kept his gaze steady and showed no outword effects, but his defenses had been lowered by the attack.
{Hmph! You'll have to do better than that!} he huffed, scraping the ground with his front right paw. He bunched his muscles, then sprang at Irasu for another one of his Tackle attacks. He ignored the grating of the whipping sand against his shoulders. It was just a little pain. . . Nothing he couldn't handle for a little while longer.

Irasu tensed, preparing himself to dodge to the side. A bit early, he jumped out of the Poochyena's way, giving himself time to turn on his heel and move back towards where he thought the wild dog would be, lunging with a Bite attack, hoping that the Sandstorm would provide enough cover that the Poochyena wouldn't see him coming. Alaina nodded her approval, liking how he thought on his feet. She decided to stay out of the battle and see how far the Larvitar could get on his own.

The Poochyena had been expecting to collide with the solid body of Irasu, but the gritty sand that was steadily intesifying was making it nearly impoosible to see. Yet he had thought he had timed it right and he had wrongly assumed the Irasu's eyesight would be affected the same way as his.
He let out a whimper-grunt of complaint, as he continued to fly forward, narrowly avioiding the attack, but landing snout first in the thick sand. Although he had ended up with the muzzle-full of sand, he had, unknowingly flew out of the way of the oncoming Bite attack.
As he leaped to his feet he picked out a green blob admist all the sand, and attempted to charge towards the bulky beast. The poochyena didn't know about the Larvitar, but his steps were painstakingly slow on the layers of sand resting on the ground. It was making his footing slippery and grains of sand were slipping between his pad, irritating him wildly.
Fighting through it the grey, canine like pokemon finally lunged at the Larvitar, wincing as the pellets of sand striked him with an intesitfied speed. He would let that stop him even though he was beginning to grow wary. He lunged with a Tackle attack.

As his eyes were perfectly adapted to conditions such as sandstorms, his vision was barely affected by it; getting cocky, he figured there was next to no way he could miss. However, what he hadn't considered was that the Poochyena was fast and that he was not. He saw the black blur, bit down, and felt his upper and lower jaw painfully collide with each other, briefly stunning him. Alaina couldn't see through the sandstorm, and assumed he had hit - just in case.
"Good job, Irasu! Use Bite again!" The Larvitar sighed once he had steadied himself, but turned around, trying to locate the Poochyena anyway. The sandstorm seemed to be weakening - it would be over soon. He needed to use it as much as he could. When he finally spotted the dog, it was only because it was running towards him, in a full-force Tackle attack. I hate it when that happe--
Before he could finish that thought, he was rammed backwards by the dog. Hoping he reacted soon enough, he opened his mouth and bit down on whatever he could find. Hopefully, he had hit some fur or skin or something in between all of that sand... More than likely, though, he hadn't. With a heavy thud!, he fell to the ground, eye twitching slightly. Alaina didn't see that, either - but she did hear it.

He felt the connection with the Larvitar’s rocky body, and had a strong sense of relief from making the hit. There was nothing left except to turn around and hide in the cover of the Sandstorm, but his plan was foiled when he fell to the ground. A sharp pain came from his tail, and the pup could only turn around to see the green shape’s teeth tightened around his puffy tail. It had hurt badly; it felt as if his skin was going to pop right out of his fur coat. Though in this crazy sandstorm, he would have cowered back into it. His fur had provided a bit of covering against the sand, but there was still the sensitive skin around his face that was occasionally pelted with blowing grains of sand. It was insane!
<You…> He started, but ended up coughing on his own words. Sand had flung itself into his mouth, and the dry taste had him gagging to spit the gross substance out. He couldn’t do much except try and attack the Larvitar while they were still close.
With his tail still in his opponent’s clutches, (or maybe not, not like I can tell. -_-‘), he whirled around to try and Tackle at the creatures softer underbelly as he laid on the ground.
