"Alrighty... more... walking. Ugh." Malorn sighed, Geist floating about beside him. "At least I actually got a decent companion. I don't know how people can stand being followed around by a Skitty or something." he chuckled, his Duskull letting off a strange noise which seemed to be his approval noise.
"Dusk... kullkull" it wailed, it's eerie voice echoing despite the location. He scrolled through his empty pokedex just because he liked the noise it made. There really wasn't much to do here, just... a road. Was his whole adventure gonna be like this?

The air is cool and crisp as leaves rustle along the ground with the icy cold wind. Winter is close, you can tell but for now, all the trees are bare and colorful leaves decorate the ground. A small Weedle crawls down from a nearby tree and onto Route one, just trying to look for something to do to get the blood going.

He noticed the small worm Pokémon shuffle along. "Hm. It'll do for now." he said, turning to Geist. "Faint Attack!"
Geist nodded. "Dus-kull!" he cried, disappearing into thin air only to appear right infront of the Weedle.

Not quite. Within a few minutes of starting his journey, Malorn would encounter something terrible. Something horrible. Something so sad.
A Cubone suddendly lept in front of the trainer pounding the Weedle into the ground viciously. The ground type was so preoccupied with it's task that she paid no mind to the trainer and Pokémon standing right in front of her. The Cubone mumbled to herself softly as her pummeled the pokemon into the ground.
The Weedle was lying limply on the well worn path of Route One. A large green puddle surrounded the Pokémon and since it was clearly dead, it's body bashed in, the Cubone would've taken that as incentive to stop.
But, no. She kept right on going.
A Cubone is mashing a Weedle into paste!

Geist nearely smashed an already mashed up body when he noticed Cubone pounding away at the corpse. "Duskull!" it cried, floating backwards.
"That's disgusting..." Malorn mumbled, feeling sick. "Teach that little shit a lesson!" he yelled out. "Faint Attack again!"
Once again, Geist disappeared into nothingness and returned centimetres infront of Cubone, smashing it in the face with his ghostly arm.

[Ooc: -gets sick- ewww >< -cries-]
Disgusting... Very.. Disgusting But the Cubone wasn't done yet, she wanted revenge Revenge, payback, for the pain she had The splinter... in his left foot
Cubone skidded back some from the attack, the redness in her face glowing as she ran towards the Duskull, ready to attack with Bone club attack. She was going to pound this Duskull into a puddle of nothing, then pound the trainer. Why should she hurt? Why should she feel pain on such a cold day? No.. it was time for revenge.
Cubone used Bone Club!

ooc: Wahaha.
"I think not, Night Shade!" yelled Malorn. With these words a bubble of dark energy formed around Duskull, like a painful forcefield. With luck, it'd either hurt Cubone or deflect her club. Malorn didn't actually have any idea what Night Shade DID.
"Oh god please blow it up." he though to himself.

[OOC: AWWWW TEH POOR WEEDIL!! *Pheonix Down* Why must the good die young?!]
The Cubon brought her bone down on the wave of dark energy. She smashed it into the ground, dispersing the energy, but the little tendrils of left-over energy scorched her skull mask, causing her a bit of pain.
OH! So that was how it was going to be! This stupid trainer and that stupid little whisp of cloud were going to cause her even more pain! First the splinter in her foot and now this battle! How could things get any worse?
It was on.
Cubon gave a mighty cry and charged at the Duskull yet again, her little bone held high over her head as she prepared yet another Bone Club attack. There was pounding that needed to be delivered!

It seemed the Cubone wasn't gonna give up. With an evil grin, Malorn commanded Geist to use Leer.
"Dussss... kuullll" Geist's eyes lit up bright red and shot a horrific glare at the Cubone, attempting to stop it in it's tracks. "You can't win against a ghost Cubone!" Malorn yelled out. "Oh go on, after you scare the wits out of that brat give it one last Fain Attack." he commanded, a hint of malice in his voice.

Cubone skidded to a stop and blinked at the scary-looking Duskull. She started to shake slightly, her attack dropping. Suddenly, she fell to the ground and put her paws to her eyes and she started to sob pitifully.
This left her open to the Feint Attack. She tumbled backwards after the Duskull rammed her and landed hard on her stomach, her bone sliding across the ground a few inches away.
Forgetting about her fear, Cubone's insufferable rage returned. She jumped to her feet and snatched up her bone, then ran at the Duskull for a Bone Club attack, unaware of the fact that her Ground-Type move would be ineffective on the Ghost type with its Levitate ability. She just wanted to pound something.

The Cubone's burning fury got the best of Geist and Malorn, the bone club coming crashing down on the Duskull. Braced for the worst Geist closed his... eye... tight and rose his hands above his face in protection. The club was upon him, about to smash him to bits...
Then it moved right through him. The cubone faceplanted and seemed to graze his face. "..." Malorn sighed. "Night Shade again."
With this command, the dark bubble of energy appeared around Geist once more, expanding slowly as Cubone's face was stationed firmly in the ground.

The Night Shade turned into a beam of purple light, entranced with energy of the shadows and the night as it covered the Cubone, traveling through the bone in her arms then onto her body like a lightning rod. It had made her motionless on the ground, panting as she was pinned down in place as the attack only kept doing more and more damage to her. It was getting to the point where she was in so much pain and grief that she couldn’t even move until she fainted from the attack.
Now there were two bodies that lay on the ground, but one was at least alive. And in this cold weather, it seemed rather cruel for a ground type to lie about in.
Duskull gains a level. Capture?

"Serves it right." he muttered, stepping past the squashed Weedle remains. Then he paused to think. The little brat certainly didn't derserve to get a second chance, nor live for what it did to that Weedle, but Malorn could probably use all the firepower he had right now.
"Geist, welcome the newest member of the team." "Dus-kull Duskull?"
His hand disappeared into his backpack and emerged with a shiney red and white sphere. One of his pokeballs. He made it a point to throw it at the Cubone as hard as possible.

The Cubone twiched in her fainted stuper and as she lay upon the ground in a daze, she was remembering the splinter in her foot. How it still pained her. Ooh. Would she have to suffer this much pain much longer? As a spinning matalic orb quickly collided with her skull protected head she let out a groan of pain.
She may be fainted, but she felt that!
Sucked up into the orb by a red light, the Cubone felt a wrenching feeling as something fell out of her foot, her splinter. Letting out a sigh of relief as she was finally sucked into the ball splinter-free. As the ball quickly dinged, the Cubone was captuered and the ball fell ontop of the large stick that had been lodged into her foot.
Congrats! You have captured a Cubone! ::cubone::

Scooping up the filled Pokeball, Malorn strolled right along the path, Geist still bobbing about beside him, proud of the fact that the Cubone didn't hurt him at all. "You did good. For a beginner" he jested. Geist didn't seem to mind, he seemed pretty mellow for such a scary thing.
So, now he had a Pokemon with a mask make of bone, a ghost and a crow that brings misfortune. He was beginning to think he was a tad weird...

Well this next Pokémon was perfectly normal.
A small something was creeping along the side of the path, through the dense foilage stubbornly refusing to admit defeat and turn around. Finally the small Pokémon made it through the leaf litter surrounding the trees and the Pokémon fell forward in front of Malorn.
The Weedle looked up and gazed at the trainer with fearless brown eyes. <I KNOW AND YOU KNOW THAT YOU LOVE ME!> he screamed. <But we must battle.>
A Weedle has appeared

Ooc: I really... hate you. D:
After his last encounter he never thought he'd be able to look another Weedle in the eye ever again. He decided he should be merciful and thrash him as quickly and possible, after all, it probably JUST WANTS ME TO GET ON MY WAY AND ENCOUNTER LOTS OF COOL POKEMON. He ripped a ball off his trainer belt, then threw it in the air. "Go, Roc!" he yelled as the crow emerged in a flash of light.
"Mur- krooowww!!" it screeched. "Peck his guts out Roc!" Malorn commanded. After realising what he said, he quickly corrected himself. "Not literally!"
Roc dived towards the little bug, his beak blazing with pointiness and peckism.

ooc:// Really? How about now?
The Weedle still stood there, perched on his back legs standing upright and proud. The Pokémon was waiting for a response from the trainer to siginify that he accepted the battle. The Weedle was not expecting a very painful attack to be the sign that the battle had begun. He let out a cry of pain as the attack hit and he was sent reeling backwards.
He stood up stright, looked the trainer in the eye and whistled. <That was unhonorable. I was not ready. You shall pay.> he said, before waiting a moment. At the sound of the whistle another Weedle scampered out of the bush.
This female Weedle rather admired the brave soldier and came to his aid stright away and guess what? Now you have TWO weedle instead of one. Isn't that great?
The pair charged at the Murkrow with a Poison Sting, their pearly horns glistening with a purple auora.
Another Weedle had appeared! ::weedle::

Malorn sighed heavily, how many of these things would he encounter today? Oh well. He'd just have to pound them into submission.
"Geist, assist Roc." he said. Geist nodded and slowly floated over there, none of them seemingly taking the encounter seriously. "Roc, Geist, gang up on the male. Peck and Faint Attack, as hard as you can!"
With those words, both the pokemon darted towards the first Weedle, Geist appearing behind it and Roc infront. Both attacked from both sides at the same time, attempting to one-shot it.

The first weedle, being a weak, but courageous fool, fainted even before the two opponents could attack. The female weedle that had come to assist him was dumb-struck and couldn't move.
Suddenly, for no reason, many other weedle appeared to help her. The whole lot of worms added up to 7 weedles. That's nasty. Many of them were weak, but just as disgusting. Congratulations.
