"Eeek!"
Liz couldn't help but shriek one last time. They had did it, they had beat their first gym! No one was injured [from that battle], which made it all the more amazing. She could have jumped for joy, but refrained herself from doing so, as Flair was in her arms. "Vul, vulpix vul!" she replied in happyness, licking her trainer's chin as she did so.
They had just come from the Poke'center and were heading on the second route, looking for some different Poke'mon.

A surskit leaped across a pond, as if dancing. It squealed with joy. Then, after noticing the trainer, it quickly dove under the water, quivering.
Investigate or Move on?

The squeal caught Liz's attention, and she turned towards the pond. Flair was let down after wriggling, but as soon as that happened, it flew below the water in fright. This can't be too hard to befriend, right? she thought as she approached, crouching to seem less menacing. The vulpix stayed behind so she wouldn't scare it, sat down, and started licking a paw.

Slowly, it raised it's head to survey the surroundings around it. Then it spotted you, and felt unease. However, it could tell that the trainer meant no harm... maybe.

"Aw, come on little guy," Liz whispered, dipping two fingers in the cold water. "I wouldn't hurt you." She smiled sweetly to show she really did mean no harm.

The Surskit was still quite wary, but proceeded a few centimetres forward. It tilted it's body curiously, but twitched ever so often in fear that the trainer was going to rip it from the water. After all, Surskits didn't run too well.

Liz surpressed a sigh, trying her best to be patient. She sat stiffly, and knew her back would be hurting if the Surskit didn't hurry on over. To her it didn't look like it wanted a fight, but if it was going to do this for another hour...
A smile still showed plainly on her face as Liz was like a rock, waiting for her chance to produce the Poke'ball.
((Didn't give me much to reply to. ))

The small surskit soon approached the land with a sweet smile. "Surs!" She greeted.

"Hey there, little guy," she started, slowly bringing her hand to pet the wild Poke'mon. "How would you like to join my party?" Opening her bag, she brought forth a new, shiny ball to hold in front of it. ((Horrid post, again... -_- )

The surskit squealed, and started quivering. It didn't run away, but that was only because it liked it when Liz patted it. It seemed a bit distressed about being caught.
Maybe you need to do something to convince it that it can trust you.

Liz sighed. This was going to take a while, all for a little bug? Oh please.
"You can trust me," she started, continuously patting it. She looked back towards Flair, motioning her forward with a shake of her head. The vulpix approached cautiously, not wanting to scare it. Instead, she sat next to her trainer, a low purr-like sound comming from deep inside. She looked to Liz with loving eyes, wanting her to gain the trust of the bug.

Surskit inched uneasily towards the girl, but eventually it felt more and more comfortable. Smiling, it squeaked. It stepped out of the water, pretty much announcing it's trust to the girl. It may be catchable!

Thank goodness.
Smiling, Liz reached for a Poke'ball, tossing it over towards the bug thing. Ew. That thing is so going into my PC! Her facial expression didn't repeat this thought, however, and she sat there, smiling encouragingly.

(*ish too lazy to read posts.* Did anyone fight and while I list attacks, if I'm missing any that where said, pelase tell me?) the pokemon didn't even need to shake, Liz caught Surskit! (Male pic BTW) Name: Gender: Level: 10 Attacks: Bubble, Quick Attack Coming out of the water suddenly was a Wooper, a grin on the pokemon's face. "Wooper!" It said.

"Well that took more time than expected," Liz commented as she carefully picked the ball out of the water, trying to avoid as much contact with the stupid liqiud as she could. For some reason this girl had a fear of the moist enviroment since a young age; must've been that one scary story her brother told her about a girl drowning in a lake by the camp site.
Whatever it was, she wasn' about to over come it now. She was about to add on a 'let's go before we have too much contact with the water than needed,' but a wild, and slightly random Whooper popped out instead. Oh my gosh! how am I ever going to train Aiden and Flair with all of these water things!? A thought came to her- Maybe we could lure it out?
Deciding that the Poke'mon looked like the talkative type, she purposely left a trail of Poke'snacks behind as her feet led her farther from water. Hopefully, she comented to herself, the thing would be either nice enough to give them back or hungry enough to approach. The second choice would help me train. Oh please, be a starving little Whooper.

The Wooper, actually, was quite well-fed and happy. Curious, it waddled over to the human.
"Woop!"

Turning, Liz noticed it had followed her. She was about to command Aiden to attack, but- it was happy. Curious. Almost innocent.
Who attacks innocent Poke'mon?!
Well. Maybe that was a bad question. But this girl knew she wasn't the kind to follow through on that kind of plan. If it was happy, she didn't want to ruin it's day. But then again- she didn't want to take her whole day to bribe it into the ball.
Sighing, Liz knew there was no other choice; she would have to see if it would join her party without question.
Pointing to her other two fire types behind her back as if saying 'don't come close unless it attacks', the young trainer approached. She got a ball out, setting it down in front of the Whooper. "Wanna join my team, little guy?" She smiled, though her lower back started acheing from bending over. It was a common tactic she used to get the wild Poke'mon used to her presence and/or to keep from scaring them away, but it sure did have it's bad points. Especially if you had to catch these stupid water types like this all day...

Wooper blinked, wagging it's tail playfully and used water-gun at Liz's face. It wasn't trying to hurt her, but just to be playful. The pokemon didn't notice that she had two fire pokemon, but then again, it could always use water gun on them too.

The ice cold water hit her face unexpectedly, dripping further down her neck and cheeks. Her face was that of complete shock- mouth wide open, eyes large, and whole body rigid. She blinked a few times, slowly bringing her hands to her face to wipe away the cold drops. Being winter, the harsh wind didn't help any, bringing the Wind-chill factor to full force. [[Learned that term in Earth Science last Semester. Meheheh.]]
It took a minute or two to get her blood flowing again, mind free from the plain shock. Instead of smiling at the playful Whooper, however, her brows furrowed and her once smiling face had dissapeared.
She. Was. Angry.
"Don't you ever do that again, okay?" she commented through clenched teeth, trying to remain collected. If she were going to make this an easy capture, she'd have to appear nice, friendly, and whatever else is expected of a good trainer.
She was definately not feeling the mood right now.

Wooper blinked a bit. It gave Liz a look of 'Your not my boss' before skipping over to her pokemon, tail wagging again. (*ish too lazy to look up what pokemon they are.*) "Wooper!" It smiled to them, getting ready to use another water gun.
