To be a powerful trainer, she needed a powerful Bird Team.
Therefore, with a bit of shopping, she had now a full team of six. Nearly all of them were at evolving age, so another level should do it.
Another level required some more battles, though.
Mayle looked around keenly, wondering where the pokemon could lurk before deciding that they'd show themselves to her rather than her finding them.
ooc; My Gym One thread poofed. o-o

OOC: Probably got put into the archives if you won or lost..that's all. That's what the admins do to keep the gym threads moderated and the boards there clean and easy to access.
To Mayle's luck, the type she was looking for was already there. With bright red eyes, a large silhouette watched the girl from the trees. It cooed a couple of times in a sinister fashion. Seemed like it was looking for trouble...or shiny things. It loved shiny things.

"Striker..." the call was quiet, but a sudden flap of wings on air could be heard as the Spearow flew down, scrutinizing the 'other' bird.
"Aerial Ace."
The Spearow took to the air, shooting down at increasing speeds towards the bird.

The Pokemon happened to be a Murkrow (is that right?).
The crow Pokemon squawked in dismay as the Spearow shot towards it. Deftly, it evaded the aerial attack, and took to the air, attacking the Spearow's flank with a Night Shade.

ooc; Crows love shiny things, even in real life. For a while, I thought Hoothoot but now I see I think you are correct. Magpies tend to actually line their nest with things like earings and other things--Ehm. Right.
ic; "Striker; you're faster and more nimble. Use that to your advantage; Fury Attack!" commanded Mayle. The Spearow, who had its feathers fluffed in defiance at the Night Shade, shot foreward with the close-ranged chance, jabbing repeatedly like a wasp stinging an elephant.

OOC: Yep, it's a Murkrow ^w^ By the way, Night Shade wouldn't affect Spearow since it's also a normal type.
Murkrow came into contact with the Fury Attack, but the ruthless hits didn't last for too long. Disappearing, Murkrow re-apparated as it performed a Faint Attack on Spearow. Murkrow was sneaky, but with the right distraction, it could be defeated...

ooc; Right. xD Whoah. It learns Faint Attack at level 35, nightshade at level 21. o-o
The Spearow screeched in alarm at the attack.
"Aerial Ace!" commanded Mayle, slightly concerned at the stagger the tiny bird pokemon made before shooting towards the Murkrow. It was small, but faster. And at close range at such speeds...

((Murkrow? Luckyyyyy >3 Next time we should give you a crap pokemon, heehee. XD))
The murkrow couldn't dodge such an attack, and was soon suffering with it's pain. With an angry caw, it swooped down to peck the insolent pokemon under this trainer's rule.

ooc; xD But level 35... KILLER MURKROW! Although I'm not too fond of crows... they mob owls. -shiver-
ic; The handsome breast feathers of the Spearow died crimson as the peck struck the agressive pokemon. Screeching in pain and anger, the pokemon used Fury Attack, the first jab to knock away the Peck and the rest as a counter.

OOC: I realize the attacks are off as we've posted them, but surely it wouldn't be appropriate to have a Murkrow that only knows Peck or whatever. The level will still be reasonable and things. I've seen the attacks of Pokémon on this site diffrenciated anyway. If the admins see any problem with it, I'll address the matter and change it. Shouldn't be a problem though x3
Murkrow charged furiously at Spearow without remorse. Why should it hold back when there was an equally nasty Fury Attack on it's way? Cawing loudly in a war cry, Murkrow dived down at Spearow using Peck again.

ooc; xD Darn. But I'd probably correct them to be correct based on D/P anyways. I'm just that way. xD
Unless... Murkrow learns Faint Attack through breeding aswell, which would mean it would know it automatically. That would mean it would only have to be level 21. xD Aw, I don't care.
ic; You couldn't call the Spearow completely smart, but he was a tricky fellow. He parried the peck with his own, hopefully his size making up for his determination and perhaps level. The Spearow, without waiting for orders, than cut through with an Aerial Ace, wings beginning to droop as it flied.

(Yeah... Faint Attack is Murkrow's egg move... dunno bout Lv21 though.
Flied?... Flew... Sorry, for some reason that really annoyed me.)
The Murkrow was hit by Aerial Ace, since the attack could never miss. It was knocked back pretty hard, and went flying into a tree. Pulling itself back up into the air, it retaliated with Faint Attack again.

ooc; Oh my word. I cannot believe I did that. I BLAME IT ON THE SQUIRELLS! And, I think Aerial Ace can hit, just its speed is nearly unaviodable.
ic; The Spearow squaked in alarm at the sly attack from behind, quickly turning and using Pursuit. The pokemon depended completely on speed, while the Murkrow's main statues was generally its endurance and attack.

((I usually mix up the attacks so they're not all poop. Like not just tackle and growl. That would be pathetic, in my opinion. XD 'Flied'? Lawl. CURSE TEH SQUIRRELS! >3))
The murkrow wailed once again as it was hit by Pursuit, and started mainly walking on the ground since it had already tired out it's wings. Screeching angrily, it used a peck, sprinting to the other bird pokemon and jabbing into the Spearow's feathers with it's sharp beak.
It didn't look like it could go on much longer, because it was becoming weaker and weaker by the second.

ooc; uhm. I'm good with grammar. I sweared.
ic; "Striker, you have the advantage now! Stay strong!" commanded Mayle. The pokemon's wings began to droop, the Spearow protesting as the Peck hit, drops of scarlet flowing faster and faster.
This was bad. She'd need to retrun him soon, weather he chose to or not.
The Spearow, determined, used an Aerial Ace while the Murkrow was still land-borne.

((Do you get 'your' confused with 'you're'? =o))
The murkrow shrieked as it was hit badly with the aerial ace, falling on the ground. But it still had a little left, enough to sustain it for one more move...
Squawking, it came at the Spearow, using a strong Faint Attack.

ooc; Nope, but weather and whether and board and bored are killers. D;
ic; The Spearow squaked in alarm, falling down into the turf before shakily getting up again. Faling to rise, the pokemon collasped onto the ground.
That. was. it.
NO ONE attacked her birds and got away with it.
"Fetch, Aerial Ace! Wingull, Water Pulse! Guffeto, Peck! Armor, Swift! Sane, Present!" she commanded, releasing her other five birds, all sending their attacks at the Murkrow.
What can I say, she loved her Striker.
xDDD [/size]

((ROFL. XD))
Murkrow was hit by all of those attacks, and even though the 'Present' didn't attack and instead healed it, it was still in too much fatigue to stay up. With a loud squawk, it fainted.
All participating pokemon under lvl 20 gain 1 lvl! If they are above 20 but under 41, 1/2 a lvl.
Attempt a capture or Move on?

Mayle, fishing out a pokeball, hesitantly threw it at the Murkrow. It seemed like a bully, and she didn't really like Murkrow. Mainly because Murkrow mobbed solitary Hoothoots, sometimes even killing them.
Crows were agressive creatures.
Her eyes narrowed slightly befor being disrupted, Striker's ball shaking in her hand. Releasing the Spearow, she found it mid-way through evolution! Sure enough, her Hoothoot too had begun to glow. The two pokemon morphed and shifted, replacing their old forms with two powerful new ones.
The Fearow and Noctowl gave large, impressive caws and hoots, her Noctowl gingerly testing its new wings. Her fearow, Striker, was still very weak. Its plummage was fluffed up defensively, its feathers dripping slightly with the rich red liquid. Her Wingull tottered over, attempting to help the Fearow with a light water gun, cleaning the stained plummage.
Farther? Perhaps. She looked towards her Wingull. He was the next to evolve. Why not get some experience now? With that, she continued.

The murkrow was vacuumed into the pokeball, and the sphere continuously rolled on the bloodied dirt, as if it would never stop.
But it did.
After a while of rolling, it finally just stopped. Then, it gave a loud beep that seemed to shake the area around it.
Congratulations!
You caught a Murkrow!
