Rachel started walking down Route One. Once she was a little ways in, she released her Chikorita. The Pokemon looked around curiously. Rachel smiled sweetly at it. "Hello. My name is Rachel and I'm your new trainer. Your name is Chelsea."
Chelsea smiled. She rubbed against Megan's leg. "Chika."
Rachel smiled down at the Pokemon. "Ok. Let's get going." She started walking down the trail again. Chelsea happily walked beside her. They were both keeping an eye out for any wild Pokemon that might be near.

It was a decent day, not warm, but that was to be expected since it was winter. However, most of the snow had been stamped down on the well worn path through Route One, and the skies were a rare swablu blue. The sun was shining brightly, but there was a clear chill in the air still.
The quiet day was soon broken by a loud squawk as a Spearrow flew out of nowhere and began attacking a nearby Caterpie. The pokemon had been hidden in the bushes before, munching on a leaf quietly. However within moments it was ambushed and attacked with the flying-types sharp beak.
<Help! STOP IT> the Caterpie cried in pain, instead of the bird pokemon just eating him it was playing with him. Drawing out his agony.

Rachel jumped back with a start when the Spearow flew in front of her. She blinked in alarm when it started attacking the Caterpie. She looked down at Chelsea. She looked shocked as well. Then she growled and glared at the Spearow.
Rachel nodded. She got the picture. "Alright, Chelsea. Time to test your strength. Tackle!"
"Chika," Chelsea said with a nod. She took a few steps back before charging straight at the Spearow, leaping up at the last second.

The Spearow was so fixate on its soon to be meal, that it hadn't even noticed the trainer he had flown over to get to this delicous morsel of bug flesh. The Tackle caught him quite off gaurd and he was flung off the bug with great force. Slading across the ground, the bird pokemon glared at the bug type with anger.
<What was /that/ for? I was eating!>
He said, preening his feathers that had gotten ruffled during the fight. <Hm. That was rude!> he added, before lunging at the grass type with a Peck attack. His beak glew blue-white as he attempted to stab the Chikorita vicously.
The Caterpie lied by the bush, groaning weakly, she was glad the pokemon was off her, but she was sore and worried he would some back to finish her off. <Help... please.> she whispered.

Chelsea shook her leaf to get rid of the dust that had collected from the impact of the attack. <Just trying to help that Caterpie,> she said, looking at the Spearow indignantly. <Eat when I'm not around to see. I don't want to witness THAT!> She jumped back when the Spearow tried to stab her, but she got hit by part of the attack. She backed away.
"Ancientpower," Rachel said quickly. She walked over to the Caterpie and knelt down next to it. She was unsure of what to do. Thinking quickly, she took out a healing potion and poured a bit on the Caterpie, hoping it would help.
Chelsea geared up for attack again. She prepared to throw the energy needed for Ancientpower at the Spearow. She aimed and shot. <Take that!>

The Spearow glared at the Chikorita, she had a problem with him eating? Seriously. "What? You have a problem with me eating in public?" he snapped, rolling his eyes exasperatedly and bristling as the trainer approached the Caterpie.
<Hey! That's my meal! Don't touch it!> he yelled, distracted, he didn't noticed the oncoming Ancientpower and was hit ruthlessly. Reeling from the attack, but refusing to budge from his spot, he grimaced, muscles sore from withstanding the strong attack. With a breathless groan, he narrowed his eyes on the Chikorita.
<Trying to make this personal I see.> he said, <You're going down girlie.> This pretty little grass type would not defeat him! With a Growl attack, he snarled at his opponent, lowing attack as he darted in for another Peck attack.
The Caterpie was about to pass out, when a stinging liquid was poured over her. It was pinful at first, seeping into the open sores, but soon it was a pleasent warmth spreading throughout him. Blinking, she replized she felt stronger, crawling to her feet, she smiled at the trainer. <Thank you! I thought I was going to die.> said, watching the battle.

Chelsea smirked, amused. She scratched the earth with her paw. <Bring it on,> she said. She quickly rolled out of the way of the Spearow's Peck attack, barely getting away in time. Her skin rubbed hard against the ground. She growled back at the flying Pokemon before looking back up at her trainer for another order.
Rachel ignored the Spearow's remark. She smiled when the Caterpie looked better. "No problem," she said. She looked back at the fighting Pokemon. "Tackle again, Chelsea!"
Taking her cue, Chelsea ran towards the Spearow again. <Here I come!> Her adrenaline was pumping from the fight. It made her feel so alive! She'd show that Spearow.

The Spearow, shook his head at the foolishness of the pokemon and her trainer. He watched as Rachel, healed his meal, his one meal of the day. Anger coursing through his vains, he was about to scream a curse at the medling trainer, but the annoying Chikorita wouldn't shut her yap.
He redirected his anger, and screamed at the grass-type. <SHUT UP!> The flying type, sighed, and put a wing to his temple. Oh god. He was getting a headache. He sighed and seeing the attack, quickly took to the air, his wings flapping as he hovered a safe distance away.
The Caterpie frowned, knowing the the pokemon had a disadvantage now. Using String Shot he wrapped a tendril of spun thread around the foot of the pokemon and dragged him donw roughly to the earth.
The Spearow was smacked into the ground and then trampled by the oncoming Chikorita. with a groan, he got up and with a mighty glare at the Caterpie stalked over to the pokemon and without any warning swollowed her whole.
Pleased, the Spearow then attacked the Chikorita with another Peck attack.

Rachel gasped when the Spearow at the Caterpie. "Hey!" she cried. There was no way she was going to let that bird get away now. She looked back at Chelsea. "Ancientpower!" She hoped she would have enough time to produce the attack again before the Spearow struck.
Chelsea smirked as she hit the Spearow straight on. Her look of triumph turned into a look of horror when the Spearow swallowed the Caterpie. Chelsea growled. She wouldn't let this Pokemon get away with doing what her trainer had tried to stop.
Chelsea was so busy with her thoughts she didn't have time to dodge the Peck attack. She cried out in pain as she was hit. She quickly recuperated and faced the Spearow, growling and glaring at it. At Rachel's orders, she summed up the energy needed for Ancientpower.

OOC:
Rachel, you need to have the link to your PC in your Signature. :D
Its in the rules, but if you don't know how to...Let us know, and we can explain. :3
BIC:
The Spearow hadn’t quite realized the disadvantage of eating a Caterpie whole. For one thing, he hadn’t even bothered to chew the darn thing into tiny pieces, so his belly was feeling rather heavy right about now. Flight seemed practically impossible with the tiny wings he possessed, though he would never admit that to anyone. The Spearow even looked visibly bloated, with the Caterpie still squirming around inside of him, signs of life. Actually, if you reached right down his throat, you could probably rescue the poor thing. But there was a time limit on that. In about 5 minutes, the Caterpie would start to be digested. Then there was no way you could save him.
<OOF!> The Spearow cried out, falling on his plump, round belly in response to the Super Effectice Ancient Power. He was down to the red zone, if anyone bothered to check their Pokedex to see his health, but he wasn’t done with the battle. He tried flapping his wings, but much to his dismay, he couldn’t even get an inch off the ground.
<…grr….> The Spearow let out a soft growl, before escalating into the actual attack; Growl. He snorted in his rage, and without moving from his spot, he attempted a Peck attack whenever anyone moved too close for comfort.

OOC: I could have sworn I put it in my sig when I first made my PC. Weird... I guess I'll just put it in again.
BIC: Chelsea grinned in triumph as she hit the Spearow right on target. He seemed much slower than before. She would have to use that to her advantage. She ran in for a Tackle, but stopped when the Spearow almost pecked her. She would need a different approach. She looked up at her trainer for help.
Rachel smirked when she saw how slow and uncoordinated the Spearow had become. She could have sworn she saw something move inside his stomach. Could she still save the Caterpie? It was definitely worth a try. "Chelsea, Ancientpower once more!" she said when she saw her Chikorita look at her.
Chelsea nodded, grinning with determination. She was confident the Spearow wouldn't be able to dodge her attack. She rounded up and shot the blast of energy at the flying Pokemon. She hoped this would do it.

The Spearow looked faintly nausius, sure he was used to eating live food, he enjoyed it acually, but in his haste to eat the Caterpie before the trainer could save it, he had swallowed it whole and now he could swear he could feel the pokemon crawling out of his gullet. Half-gagging, half fainting, he had no way of dodging the attack.
The blast of energy came, and it hit him hard as he fell to the ground, swirls replacing his beady eyes. The Caterpie was still alive, but in pain, since the acid was attempting to dissolve him. Not a pleasent feeling at all, with screams of pain the Caterpie made it's way halfway up the throat, but it wouldn't be able to get out the beak.
Congrats! You have defeated Spearow! Chikorita gains one level! Capture? Save Caterpie? Move on?

<Yes!> Chelsea exclaimed excitedly. She started to prance around the area happily. She won her first battle! She couldn't believe how great it felt. She'd have to do this again sometime. She looked up at her trainer and smiled.
Rachel chuckled softly. "Great job, Chels. You were awesome." She glanced down at the Spearow and frowned slightly. "What should we do?"
Curiously, Chelsea walked towards the Spearow. She sniffed at his beak. She could smell the Caterpie. It was still alive! <Get it out!> She cried. <We didn't go to all this trouble for nothing!> She walked around to the other side of the Spearow, ready for if he moved again.
Rachel nodded. She knelt down next to the Spearow. She carefully pried his beak opened. She held her breath at the smell. She felt a bit nauseated at what she was about to do. Without thinking about it too much, she stuck her hand down the Spearow's throat and tried to grab the Caterpie out.

Suddenly feeling very uncomfortable with all of the attention being placed on him, the Spearow attempted to get up, only to get his beak trapped in Chelsea’s grip, and out of nowhere, his gag reflex kicked in. The tiny Caterpie was squirming around inside of him, and one thing led to another and…
BLEHHHHHHHH.
Vomit. The Caterpie; now stinky, dirty, and cold, shuddered before the exhausted Spearow. He gave the group a disgusted, and somewhat fearful eye, before taking to the air. <You people are crazy! Leave me alone!> He squawked, before disappearing into the shelter of the trees. All the Caterpie needed now was to get cleaned off, or else he would probably catch a cold, and get seriously sick.

Chelsea smirked as the Spearow flew away. <Good riddance!> she called after him. She turned around and walked back to Rachel smugly, glad to be rid of that pest. She looked down at the Caterpie. What were they going to do about it?
Rachel let out a sigh of relief. She was glad that was over. She turned to her Chikorita. "Do you think you could find us some water? We need to get this Caterpie cleaned off."
Chelsea nodded. She headed deeper into the forest. When she came across a small puddle, she scooped up the water with a large leaf. She then proceeded to carry the leaf back to where Rachel and the Caterpie were.
Rachel smiled when Chelsea returned. "Thanks." She took the leaf from her and poured the water over the Caterpie, rinsing it off.

The poor Caterpie was in quite a bit of shock at the moment, the small green pokemon shuddered on the frost hardened ground. That had been disgusting, and to make matters worse, she was still covered in vomit. She knew the guts of other Caterpie's were on her body right now, and she was fighting against the urge to throw up herself.
The pokemon glanced around, still shivering to find the kind trainer and brave pokemon that had fought so valiently to save her from being his meal of the day. Spotting the trainer kneeling near her, she attempted a brave smile, and felt like giving the trainer a thank-you hug, but being covered in vomit, she decided that was not the best idea at the moment. The pokemon stiffened as the icey snowmelt was dumped over her body. Now clean from the vomit, she inched away from the puddle, and was now shaking violently.
The wind was strong, and she was cold and soaking wet. If she was exposed for much longer, all of the trainer's efforts would be in vain. Most Caterpies didn't survive the winter. But she had fought the odds, and was not planning to die now. "T-t-thank you! I--I really appearcate it." she stammered, chattering from the cold.

Chelsea smiled at the Caterpie. <No problem,> she said. She frowned slightly when she saw her shiver. They needed to find a way to get her warm. She looked around the forest, hoping to find something she could use. She picked up a pile of dried leaves and feathers and set them down near the Caterpie. It wasn't much, but hopefully it would help.
Rachel surveyed the situation. She opened her backpack to see what she would in it. She smiled as she pulled out a blanket. She carefully wrapped a corner of it around the Caterpie. "There you go," she said. "I'd hate to leave you here like this. If you want, you can come with us." She smiled.

The Caterpie was trembling, like a leaf in the wind, she was this close to kneeling over, but she didn't want to look weak in front of the very people who had saved her. She noticed that the grass type tottered away before appearing besides her once again.
Some debris was dropped beside her. Found underneath a bush, it was dry, and offered protection against the wind. <Thank you...> she repeated once again, not able to say how grateful she was.
Then the trainer came and wrapped a warm, soft material around her, which she clung to fiercely, eyes watering slightly. These people were so kind to a pathetic Pokémon like her! Hearing the offer, the Caterpie nodded, a tearful smile on her face. <You guys are so nice! Thank you. I'll do my best!> she called, agreeing to join them.
You have befriended a Caterpie! Capture?

Rachel smiled when the Caterpie agreed to join them. "Great!" she said cheerfully. "My name is Rachel. This is my Chikorita, Chelsea." She motioned to her Pokemon.
Chelsea smiled and took a step forward. <Hi!> She let out a single vine and waved at the Caterpie.
"We're just starting out," Rachel went on. She tapped her chin with her finger, looking thoughtful. "I think I'll name you 'June.'" She fished inside her backpack and pulled out a Pokeball. She placed it next to the Caterpie. "When you're ready, just go inside here. Then it'll be official." She smiled and waited to see what she would do.

The Caterpie had many mixed feelings. Adoration, apprehension, confusion, but although she barely knew these people; she knew they only wanted the best for her. It was this relization that she gladly was absorbed into the ball with a soft ping.
The green bug type smiled as she settled down in her new cozy enviroment. So she was June huh? She liked that name.
You have captured a Caterpie!
Name: June Gender: Level: 6 [evolves into Metapod next level] Attacks: Tackle, String Shot
Looking down at its next to victims, a small figure stood on a limb of a tree, which was overhanging the path. It watched Rachel and the Chikorita capture the Caterpie, unware that the path they were standing on was home to the footprints of many new trainers. This Pokémon loved preying upon these aspiring young people.
A mischievous smile spread across the pokemon's cheeks as it saw the trainer and her Pokémon draw nearer and nearer to its trap. Its buck teeth hungover its bottom lip, and its fur was poofed out as if something just shocked it. It had a cute white and blue tail the curled around at the tip, and its big eyes were squinted into an evil stare. This usually cute Pokémon certainly had something dark under its cute appearance.
The pachirisu hopped down from its elevated hiding spot as soon as the trainer was within a meter of the tree. It landed quite skillfully on the path as a tiny cloud of dirt rose up in response. However, within a split second of landing safely, it half-rolled back onto its bottom, twisting its expression into one of agony.
+OWWW!+ The squirrel-pokemon cried aloud, rubbing its bottom excessively. A few tears sprouted from its eyes, forced out by much squeezing of the eyelids. +Owie owie OOWW!+ It exaggerated its false pain, trying to capture the sympathy of the trainer before it.
::Pachirisu:: has appeared!
