June watched as the Paras struggled to undue her work. She felt a little bad about attacking this apparently helpless Pokemon. But she really wanted to level so that she could evolve. Soon she'd be a beautiful Butterfree! The thought made her smile.
Rachel nodded, satisfied with the progress. "Alright, now Tackle!"
June started charging towards the Paras. Usually her little worm body wouldn't have much affect, but on another bug Pokemon, especially this bug, it was a fairly decent attack.

The Paras attempted to stand, but it didn't help much being so weak. As the tackle attack hit the poor Paras, the mushroom's powder sprinkled around again, which would cause more allergies. <Achoo!> The Paras sneezed, his mushrooms were such a bother and it just messed him up in the spring time. With his eyes watery and red from sneezing so much, the Paras still wanted to fight, to show he wasn't as weak as it showed.. like that would happen..
Paras finally stood and he swayed a bit, wobbly from the attacks. He sniffled and then ran towards the Caterpie with scratch, still a bit shaky from the allergies, hoping to hit the worm to get some sense of an attack into this battle.Lv.7Paras Attacked!Paras used Scratch!

June backed away after she made contact. She watched the Paras sprinkle powder on himself. Wow, poor guy. But she was in a battle now. She couldn't dwell on that. She winced when the scratch hit her. It wasn't too powerful, but it still hurt.
Rachel surveyed the situation. String Shot wouldn't be of much help right now. Better go with Tackle. "Ok, June, Tackle again!"
June nodded. Maybe it'd only take a few tackles to bring this Pokemon down. Or maybe not. She knew she shouldn't underestimate him. She scrambled towards the Paras again to hopefully inflict more damage.

The Paras was hit again, this time, he fell back, rolling against the ground, causing his spores mix up with dust and dirt that floated into the air. As soon as the Paras landed, he sneezed. <Achoooooo!!!!!> Rolling back once again with this powerful sneeze. It wasn't fair, and he knew it. Angry and upset, the Paras attempted to stand once again. He had to fight, he just had to, even if his allergies were bugging him crazy. With wobbly legs, the Paras took a step, trying to run towards the Pokemon with another scratch attack.. no good. Paras fell down, hard right onto his face. He whimpered, a tear rolling down in cheek in pain and embarrassment. This was it, the very end and Paras laid there, fainted and miserable.

June sighed in relief when the Paras fainted. That was over quick. She felt a little bad for the poor Pokemon, but what can you do? June wiggled to the side a little to start evolving.
Rachel glanced at June and grinned. Great! She then turned to the defeated Paras. What was she going to do with him? She certainly didn't want to catch him. He wouldn't be of much use to her. Besides, she already had two bug Pokemon.
Rachel walked over to where the Paras lay. She knelt down and picked him up. She carried him over to a patch of grass behind a bush and set him down there. He was too vulnerable out on the road like that. She then poured a potion on it to help it out a bit. "Sorry about the battle," she said. With that, she got up and walked back to her own Pokemon.
Rachel smiled at the sight of the Metapod. "Great job, June," she said, rubbing the top of her head. "Well, we best get going." She quickly returned her Pokemon to her Pokeball. Then she continued on down the route.

::Bidoof:: Lv 7
A small bidoof scrurried from underneath one bush to another. Occasionaly stopping to smell the air. < I smell food, but where is it?> Bidoof said as he glanced around before scurring to the middle of the trail and stopping. <Where is the food?> Bidoof said as he glanced around not noticing June.

Rachel stepped back a bit when the Bidoof ran in front of her. She watched it curiously. It was a cool looking Pokemon. Something worth catching. What was it doing darting around like that? Looking for something? Didn't it have a fear of humans? Rachel shrugged and advanced forward. She leaned down just a little bit. "Hello there, little guy," she said, hoping she wouldn't scare it.

It had been days, no..weeks since the weather was nice enough to produce enough fruits, nuts, and vegitables for the Pokemon on this route. Of course, the faster Pokemon were the first to grab whatever they can that fell from the trees, then run and hide. Those of course, were the rare and larger Pokemon that aren't seen as often. Then, there were Pokemon like this Bidoof, that were starving for something to eat and would do almost anything to get ahold of at least one berry.
The Bidoof stopped, looked up into the trainer's eyes and then sniffed the air. <Where's the food?!> The Bidoof asked, discouraged that so far, there was no food to be found but, maybe this Trainer had some food? <Hey! Where is it?> The Bidoof scurried around the Trainer once, then twice, sniffing her pockets and then her legs and shoes to see if there was any food hidden within but, there was nothing. Still, the smell was there and this Bidoof was going to find it. Maybe if the Bidoof showed how tough he was, that the Trainer would surrender the food to him; Yeah! that was it. Bidoof took a step back, narrowed his eyes at the metapod. <You better get ready to give me that food!> Bidoof scratched at the dirt on the ground and then ran towards the Metapod with a tackle attack.
Bidoof Attacked! Bidoof used Tackle!

Rachel blinked at the Bidoof's request, not comprehending. She giggled as he sniffed around her body. "Are you hungry?" she asked, guessing that was probably it. She had some food for herself and her Pokemon in her backpack. She was about to get it out when the Bidoof attacked June. She gasped in shock. "Hey!" she cried. Well, she wasn't going to give him any food if he was going to behave like that! "June, Harden!"
The Metapod blinked at the Bidoof. What was it doing? She hadn't done anything to him! Fighting for food wouldn't do any good. Couldn't he just go find his own? Unable to do anything else, June hardened her body. She hoped that would be enough for the other Pokemon to back off.

The Bidoof stood his ground, his small watery, beady eyes glaring down the unmoving Metapod creature. It seemed to take his attack with relative ease, and the only sign of it countering was a faint silvery sheen appearing across it's body seemingly adding another layer to the lime green pokemon.
The Bidoof was quite puzzled, having never dealt with an enemy that didn't back. Bored, he reverted back to hisoriginal quest. <Food?> he questioned the Metapod, sniffing around it and moving it aside to search for the precious life source that he wanted so badly. Why was it so hard to find one little berry?
<You have no food.> the Bidoof muttered as he stated the obvious, he returned back to the trainer, oblivious to the fact that she was quite pissed at him for attacking her pokemon for no apparent reason. < I NEED FOOD!>he groaned, attempting to communicate with the trainer, but resorted to munching on her shoe. Maybe if she saw how hungry he was the human would give him food!

June stared at the Bidoof. What was his problem? She almost felt like rolling her eyes. Of course she didn't have any food. She was a Metapod! But apparently this Pokémon didn't now that. Good thing she wasn't a Caterpie anymore. Then he might have tried to eat her just like that Sparrow her trainer saved her from!
Rachel sighed when the Bidoof kept searching for food. At least he wasn't attacking anymore. She shook her head when he started chewing on her shoe. What was she going to do with him? She bent down and tried to gently push him off. "No," she said. "I only give food to good Pokémon who don't attack unless provoked." What if he didn't leave her alone until she gave in?

The Bidoof let out a low whine, it understood the human, but he knew she couldn't understand him. He was good! He was just very hungry. He hadn't eaten in days and days. Heck! It felt like weeks. One little morsel food couldn't hurt. The small, mousy pokemon, laid his head down on the ground miserably and thought trying to look miserable in the process.
He needed that food, and he knew the trainer had some. She said so herself! The problem was getting it. Option #1: Be nice, and beg. Option #2: Attack and take food by force Option #3: Leave them alone Option #4: Bug them until they gave in
After mulling over the options, he decided to omit number two, since he probably wouldn't get anywhere since he didn't know where the food stash was and he could guess the trainer wouldn't be happy with him. And there was no way he was leaving them alone, he needed that food! So number three was gone leaving one and four. A mixture of the two would work he assumed.
He stood on his hind paws and looking much like a kicked puppy, attempted to beg for a little food, eyes watering with fake, unshed tears. How could anyone say no to him now?

Rachel let out a long sigh. She had always been a sucker for cute Pokemon. She knew all along she couldn't leave this Bidoof here. She glanced at June for help. But the Metapod had the usual blank stare. It looked like she was on her own. "You can take a rest now," she said to her Pokemon before returning her to her Pokemon. She didn't want June to witness her giving in.
Rachel turned back to the Bidoof. She sighed again. She didn't want to give this guy food without anything in return, especially after the way he had acted. "Ok," she said slowly. She slid her bag off her back and pulled out a bright, shiny apple. "You can have this." She set it down next to the Pokemon. "But that's all. Although, you can have as much food as you want if you agree to join me. We'll see how nice you are." She looked at the Bidoof, waiting to see what he would do.

The Bidoof continued his ploy, watching as the trainer slowly sighed. That was a good sign, as Rachel glanced at her Metapod and quickly returned it, the Bidoof slowly started to wag it's stubby tail. Things were looking up!
As the trainer plopped her backpack on the ground the Bidoof started hopping around excitedly, he was getting food! Yay! This trainer was so nice! He quickly froze, and his eyes grew big at the sight of the apple. It looked so untarinshed, crisp and such a lovely red. That was better than any berry he could have.
The Bidoof nearly started drooling, but quickly snapped out of it as the trainer started speaking to him. Come with her? As much food as he wanted? It was a dream come true! Of course he would! <Yes!> he exclaimed fiercly having no hesitations. He then lunged towards the apple and took a large chomp out of it. His eyes werwe squinted up happily as he chewed on the juicy piece of apple.

Rachel chuckled when the Bidoof dived at the apple. "I guess that's a yes," she said with a small smile. This guy wasn't too bad. He was probably just desperate before. She bet he'd be pretty nice once he was full.
Rachel waited for the Pokemon to finish eating before pulling something else out of her bag. A Pokeball. "Alright," she said to indicate to him what she was about to do. She gently tossed the Pokeball at the Bidoof.

Rachel smiled as she picked up the Pokeball. The Bidoof would make a good edition to her team. It would be nice to have another Pokemon that liked her, especially after catching the the Meowth and Pachirisu. Rachel slung her bag back over her shoulder and continued on down the route. She reckoned she was almost through. In fact, she thought she could see the end up ahead. But she wanted to catch one more Pokemon first. She looked around for a sign of movement.

A small bird pokemon, navy wings lines with crimson, and a pright beak of a beautiful yellow chirped from tree to tree, glancing everywhere looking for a living creature. The winter hibernation was just ending, and the bird pokemon was stiff from being cooped up inside all winter. It saw a human and sighed with relief now she could streach her wings.
She popped by the human, landing on the ground by her feet, and chirping loudly hoping to get her attention. <Excuse me ma'am> It said shyly. <Do you want to battle?>It asked, not knowing if the girl could understand poketounge or not. The tailow was unaccustomed to talking to humans, and did not know if they could understand her.

Rachel looked up when she heard a bird chirping. She smiled when she saw the Taillow. It was such a pretty Pokemon. She blinked in surprise when it landed by her feet. She looked down at it when it chirped at her. "Hello there," she said.
Rachel blinked in confusion when the Taillow spoke. She had a knack for understanding her own Pokemon pretty well, but she had no idea what this wild one was saying. "Er... Are you lost? Or hungry?" she asked, remembering the Bidoof.

Today, the Taillow decided to go out near the route. Usually on days like these, this specific Taillow enjoyed flying around and going by the near streams and ponds. Lately, the Taillow had been near the route, watching Trainers battle and Pokemon level up and become happy and the Taillow wanted to do the very same and Today was her day. <umm..ughh...> The Taillow sighed, this trainer couldn't understand a single word she was saying. She had to think of a way to be able to let this Trainer know she wanted to battle..but how? <ok, umm.. I want..> Taillow sighed, took a step back and used a growl attack towards the trainer.
Taillow Attacked! Taillow used Growl!
