How incredibly sad, this region. Between Alakazam and Lucario, Minum had already calculated he wouldn't have to do any training to advance more-so than walk and say a few things until the FOURTH Gym. Out of what? Seven? Regardless, Minum had to deeply sigh when he realized how crowded this damn place was. He had last been here three years ago. It had been no less crowded that time, and he had been pulled into a large conversation; made no better with the fact Eden had been there. The difference this time was that he recognized no faces. Good. There were only two people on the planet he would hope to see in his life now, and neither of them were in the region. Alakazam confirmed Din wasn't, and Anya...Anya...Anya. Whatever. It had been too long.
People were overrated in a way. Either they were evil, stupid, or just ridiculous. In most cases, two of those in conjunction. If it was a real GOOD day, Minum might even run into someone that was all three! Oh, happy day, mentally destroying someone of that mentality. Sitting at one of and-knowing his luck-possibly the only remaining open table with his starter of this region(Crimson, the Quilava) circling around the table, Minum simply hit his head onto the table. Cold...it was oddly cold. Shrugging off the feeling, his eyes scanned the other customers. Eye-candy never hurt when feeling so crappy, let him yell you.

Ding.
The bell over the door gave a weak, yet still fairly loud ring over the crowd in the cafe as a female with long sea green hair stepped lightly in with knee high, black boots. She was given odd stares but she shrugged them off. Why? She wasn't wearing a jacket in winter, in fact she had no sleeves what so ever. She wore a gray buttoned shirt with a tie that had a similar coloring to her hair. She added to the perplexity of her attire with a black mini skirt and arm "warmers". Strange lady right?
Hazel eyes ignored the stares though and her long legs carried her whole 5' 4" body to the counter. "Hey Greg. Yeah, the usual. Can you but it on my tab? I swear I'll pay it off next week." Miku gave her "award" winning smile to the boy around her age behind the counter who merely nodded and shrugged. Man that tab must have a thousand dollars on it. She laughed to herself as she looked around the small shop for an open table. No luck. She did however spot an open spot next to a tall male, near her age. She smirked inwardly as she put on a straight face.
Striding over to the small cafe table that sat the unsuspecting Minun, Miku spoke, just loud enough for him to hear over the crowd. "Mind if I sit down?" She felt like adding 'because theres no other tables' but felt that would just be a horrible start. As if just a slightly nicer way to say "Hey, I'm just sitting here because there's no other choice. I hate you!" She didn't hate him but he sure didn't seem overly happy.

'And it begins. This is what happened last time...though this time I'm liking it better.' This thought flashed through Minum's mind, though he payed no attention his Quilava growling slightly at Miku. The trainer himself didn't really mind cold weather given where he grew up, and didn't tend to wear anything besides the normal clothing in anything above -10. "No, I don't." Given, this response took about ten or fifteen seconds of actual time to release from his brain through his mouth. On his part he had been considering saying 'not at all' or something along those lines, but figured it would come up stupid. Stupidity was the one thing he hated most, after all.
"If my luck is the same as it was three years ago, about ten more people will want to sit here soon. Hah..." Looking down at the table in a slightly offput way, he found it best to shut up. This finding seemed to apply to a lot of conversations the man got into anyway. One thing he did notice was Crimson having already gotten over his growling(For he is a very peaceful fire type, easily made friends of without any provocation.) and was simply circling Miku now with his flames blasting out of his back. This could be taken as an attempt to warm Miku up in the assumption she was cold, which was somewhat sane.
All Minum could think about was if people were staring at her as she came in because of her lack of winter attire, or other reasons. 'Seriously...'

Miku nodded in response and took a seat. She remained quiet though, feeling for some reason awkward. Since when was this cafe busy? She was used to seeing people coming and going faster then cars moved in a Nascar race. Seriously, why today did they choose to stay.
At the boy's comment on his luck though it some what broke the ice on her tension. "I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that you have horrible luck?" There was a tone of obvious sarcasm in her voice though she wouldn't hold it over the boy to miss it like many others and take it literally. She's had that happened a multitude of times.
A waiter shuffled it's way to the table with a warm cup of coffee. Miku gave thanks, slipped a dollar as a tip and turned back to Minun. "The name is Miku by the way." She flicked some bangs out of eyes for a moment before looking down at the fire pokemon circling her. Inwardly she cursed for not remembering the species, so she'd tone that out. "Well trained pokemon you have here. Very healthy and fit. What's it's name?" The sarcasm in her voice before was lost as she shifted her gaze to the corner of her eye to see the male's reaction.

He seemed to ignore the comment about luck, either for lack of caring, figuring out she was being sarcastic, or just choosing to reply to the latter statement and question first. "Well, then. I'm Minum. Kind of like the pokemon, only different ending. Regardless." His eyes remained aimed at the table until the bit about his Quilava, adding, "Crimson. First guy I got around here, though certainly not my strongest. Just the only one that I can really have out in public." The trainer returned his glance in Miku's direction, moving back into silence. Nothing to ask or say that wasn't terrible cliche', or stupid, or obvious.
When in doubt, state random facts about yourself and then ask about them. "I'm not sure how, but I gathered up one or two variably strong pokemon without any badges, so I have to go utterly decimate them at some point. So what about you?" What about her what? Damn, it seemed stupid now. 'Failure...' Someone has issues.

Minum... Interesting? She thought. She always thought some people's names were weird but he was practically named after a pokemon. Odd, certainly odd. At his comment about Crimson she looked up entirely and took a sip of her coffee. "I have a few pokemon myself that I wouldn't have run around in public." Her voice held no emotion but truth. Many of her pokemon would give away, or hint, to her being in Team Death. Like her Shadow Murkrow. Not every trainer had two shadow Murkrows.
"No badges?..... Same here..." Her voice trailed as she followed the male's gaze to the table. "Table must be really interesting to be stared at for that long." She smirked slightly as she gazed out the far window. The snow outside was brown and muddy, mixing horribly to the pure white snow around it. "My pokemon... Eh... There there really. Not weak nor are they overly strong. I get around though." Her hazel eyes back tracked to the trainer before her.

"While I kind of want to see your Pokemon and the like in comparison to my own now....well, yeah. I can assume we will never see each other after we leave this place, so it doesn't matter." Evidently choosing to ignore the statement about the table, he made it a point to keep his eyes just about locked on her now. "What do you want to do, then? I never got the whole coordinator or contest-person or whatever they're called thing. Too boring." Hah, on the upside, Minum wouldn't care if she was in Team Death. Depending on the situation, he might even join up with them for the heck of it. Hell of a better thing to do than going around and winning badges.
The next thing, like most uncommon things Minum does, was almost completely on accident. "Well, I'm either going to stare at the table or you. Not that it's a hard choice; I'd rather not be rude." As soon as he got out the lost word...well, the man's face went blank. Minum was dangerously close to bashing his head into the table after that. That was the second stupidest thing he'd ever done, and probably the worst in what the consequence might be.

Just because she mentioned the table stare, didn't mean that she was the next staring dummy. She shrugged it off though she's had worse. "Just because we might not see each other again doesn't mean that we can't show each other our work. An artist shows his work to strangers even though he probably won't see them again." She pointed out, taking another sip of her cooling coffee.
She took in his comment on contests. She agreed and nodded, he wasn't all that bad... besides the staring.... "I'm not a contester if that's what your asking. I'm working for the badges, just don't want to get ahead of myself. Want to wait until I think my team is ready." She closed her hazel eyes as she took another drink.
Miku stopped drinking though at his next comment and shot her left eye open. She watched the male for any action. "..." She stayed silent. Observing everything that Minum was doing. Was that a slip up or a crappy pick up line in which he tries to act like a "gentlemen" She thought. "Well, I have to be going soon. I need to go back to my hotel for rest before resuming my journey tomorrow. Nice meeting you though, and Crimson."
Not that she wanted to leave or had to, she would just feel uncomfortable sitting there after that. She smiled sweetly at the fire pokemon before standing up and heading to a trash can and tossing her only half empty coffee. I wonder if he'll realize that no one in their right mind would drink a cup of coffee before going to bed. She gave a final wave and smile to the male trainer before stepping out into the cold. If he follows me....

After smashing his head into the table once...or twice, and perhaps a third time, Minum stood. "Okay, sure. What do I have to lose?" Another favorite of his was, obviously, talking to himself. Pulling a pokeball from his pocket, he returned the Quilava that had almost been following Miku by itself. With any 'luck', if he could call what might happen that, they might end up actually becoming friends if this worked. The difference between the last two times that had happened, with the girls known as Anya and Din...this girl seemed real smart. Headache ensuing from the flood of both pros and cons from this fact, Minum tossed out another pokeball-but whatever came out of it disappeared before anyone in the restaurant would see.
The Crystal Alakazam would appear before Miku, almost camouflaged along the snow. Truthfully, to any other people around, it wouldn't be seen unless they concentrated on that spot between a small bit of psychic shielding and its color. "My trainer may wish to speak to you, though from what I have already deciphered from his mind that would be unadvisable. Well, girl...Miku, was it?" Obviously, the telepathically-speaking Alakazam knew quite well her name was Miku. It was the only pokemon with an IQ over FOUR THOUSAAAAAND. (I couldn't resist.) "Trust me, he's an idiot. I believe he was just speaking his mind, not....well. He's weird. The last girl he traveled with he ended up kissing out of no reaaaal reason. Quite awkward, really." It might be thought that the Psychic-type was laughing there, in the air; impossible to tell. "While I am quite certain you can infer this, I am able to tell you he would obviously not object to traveling with you. I cannot say he would admit it. Any questions?"
This Alakazam was still the best and worse thing Minum had ever owned, been in contact with, or spoken to in general.

Miku took no heed to the fire pokemon following her. She kept repeating in her head no to look back, just keep walking. She half noticed the fire pokemon being recalled but kept going at an easy walking pace. Hazel eyes starred at the ground in front of her as her long sea green trailed behind her.
A voice in her head stopped her on the spot though as she froze. Who the.... Wait... Can they hear this? Her thoughts trailed off as she noticed the crystal pokemon before her that she never noticed from the matching snow. "Travel with me?" She questioned, more to herself then to the Alakazam. She stood silent for a moment. The last person she traveled with was a teenager who was scared of everything and didn't make it past a day before heading home. Fun times right? NOT.
Her mind shuffled through the pros and cons of the situation before finally speaking again. "Where is he?" They had been standing there in the middle of the road for what seemed like forever. Minum had all the time in the world if he wanted to sneak up on the unsuspecting female.

"Give me a second or half." It didn't take more than ten seconds for Minum to catch up after a small message, not bothering to return the psychic pokemon. "As corny as it sounds, you are different. Many an idiot cloud life, you know? I get a kind of smart vibe. It's always great to talk to people I can't outsmart, excluding him." Miku would feel a psychic-wave from the nearby Pokemon as though to force her to infer that by 'him' Minum did mean the Alakazam sending said wave. "I've travelled with two other people. One of them was a bit immature, even if smart, and I was still dumb back then. The other just...wasn't really smart." Minum shrugged-if it was any indication, he hadn't put his jacket back on before running out and after the woman when signaled to.
Another unknown consolation being his experience; he had traveled generally through three regions, even if none of them completely. Mentally he admitted this being to being unable to without some sort of human company. It got too boring without someone to really talk to.

Miku certainly felt the wave of energy pass through her and she felt unprotected. All of her pokemon were back at her hotel either resting or doing unimaginable torture to one that was sleeping. While here, Minum had at least two. "I wouldn't say I'm all that smart." She grinned sheepishly as she scratched the back of her head.
"I... Wouldn't mind traveling with you." Her voice held a not of what she deemed coming rejection. She wouldn't mind, she's gotten hit by it before. Just made her determined. She felt the skin rise in anxiety on the back of her neck.
Wait... Why did she care what this one guy thought about her? She just met him, but he was nice and.... well not entirely bad looking to say the least. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, her eye's giving away her inpatients in their wait for his answer. Reply already. Geez!

"Smart enough; you have no clue." Something seemed a bit different compared to when they had been talking in there, and not just because he wasn't quite nervous or avoiding looking down at the girl now. Perhaps the perspective of now looking down at her was helping, though Minum contributed the small attitude change to the unusually powerful half-invisible Crystal-psychic pokemon floating behind Miku. It's enough to shake down almost anyone's nerves, in his opinion.
Shaking his head mentally, he nodded. "It'll be great." Of course, the Sister-in-law of Minum's 'archenemy' so to speak would soon be trying to take over the Organization Miku was in, but he didn't know any of that. If something should come up-and knowing Pokemon it'd be something like trying to get him to join Team Death or stealing his pokemon...well, Crimson would burn that bridge when they came to it. So to speak. "Anything else we need to figure out, or is that all? I'm good for following you for now, since I'm assuming you have somewhere to go and I...don't quite at this point in time." He almost flashed a smile, but decided against it.

Miku was tense she knew. The previous ending to the conversation on top of the days of traveling didn't help to relieve stress. She didn't argue with the smart comment. If someone complimented you, take it even if you didn't believe it true. She did however feel incredibly.... Short. She they were sitting down she didn't notice the height difference. She felt like just coming out and say "I feel short" or "You're tall" but she figured that would be stupid and he'd have heard it a hundred times.
"When I said I was going for my hotel before I really meant it. Just not for sleep. I left my pokemon there for relaxation so if, you know, we could head back to get them that would be great." She flashed a short smile before slowly backing away. "Feel free to follow...." For some reason she felt awkward telling he to follow her to her hotel. Just plain awkward. Where was her usual courage and calmness? Why was she so nervous? Maybe it was the coffee.... Yeah, coffee....

"Of course. Glad to follow." Minum proceeded with sending out Crimson once more as Alakazam actually returned itself; the Quilava running in front of Miku with its body ablaze to try and melt directly through any snow or ice in her way for obvious reasons. Though this was obviously without order, perhaps showing how much of a fancy Crimson had already taken in who seemed to be his trainer's new friend as well. "If you don't care if I ask, what exactly do you plan on doing once you have your Pokémon and we're back on track?"
Of course, the height difference was quite noticeable. Minum didn't mind and was admittedly less nervous when able to look down at Miku, though he still felt like she could beat him up in a way. If nothing else, the woman didn't seem to think of herself as very smart, and were it true, he might still have that as an advantage...but, wait, what? Why was he comparing the two of them? Not as though they were enemies or anything, regardless.

Miku nodded as he agreed to follow. She felt slightly more at ease with the silence as they walked and didn't dare disturb it, but of course as her luck turns out, he did. "Once I get my pokemon and we hit the road, I'm planning to do a small amount of training before I officially hit the first gym." She looked back at Minum then back to in front of her, watching Crimson melt a path.
It didn't take much more then a minute or two walk for the two to reach a tall building. "Here." Miku spoke easily as she pulled open one of the front doors, waved to the front desk clerk and headed straight towards the elevator. She stood patiently in silence as she waited for the doors to open. Every so often looking towards the tall male then back again when she thought she heard the elevator coming.
When the doors finally opened, she strode in and pressed the 5th floor button. She shifted her weight from her heels to her toes, rocking, as she waited for the elevator to rise.

"I'm surprised you still need training to take on the first gym. If that's the case, I think i'd win a battle that way..." He coughed fakely, murmuring, "Considering Alakazam can take out most of the first guy's pokemon with psybeam in a hit each." Minum found it best to stop talking about the time that they actually reached the hotel, having spoken during the walk there. Though the silence remained increasingly awkward, and he was having the phase where he was looking at her during about every single moment she couldn't really see him.
As though to break the silence and as such the awkwardness while in the elevator, he added onto earlier: "I do have a...team-mate that is always up for new challenges if you want to train against me, that is. Warrior Pokemon and all." Minum bothered to look away from Miku now, pondering why indeed this actually was so awkward. This thought was simply shrugged off as he remembered to try and return Crimson; to no avail considering the Quilava was now actually trying to perch itself on Miku's shoulder. Huh.

"Never said I needed more training now. Just want to make sure they're ready. I think I'm ready but I'm not going to be the one fighting my butt off now am I?" She grinned.
Miku listened to his offer. "I wouldn't mind fighting against you." She finally answered as she stood still for the first time on their ride. As she did, the door glided open. She began to take a step forward but stopped. What the crap was on her shoulder? Her body froze as she eyes slowly shifted to eye a happy looking Crimson next to her head. "Well... Um... Hello?" She voice was surprisingly calm though her heart was pounding in her chest. How the crap did he get there?
She shrugged the thought off and walked out the door, the quilava perched on her left side. She walked only a few doors down the hall though before stopping and shuffling for her key. She muttered under her breath a few sorries and comments mentioning something about it probably being a giant mess from her Pokémon.
When the door gave a faint click she slid the door open an inch or two and peeked in. So far so good. Only then did she open it enough to look in. "Oh, I'm going to kill Katsutoshi." As she opened the door wider anyone could see the giant mess of a room there was. But not only that but when she opened the door she spotted the bucket over the door. "That eevee is soooo going to get it! She growled as the water splashed down over her head. She groaned as she stormed into the room, kicking aside feathers and sheets from the bed that were flung madly on the floor.
Her hazel eyes were now a piercing red as she spotted her target, cowering in the corner under the side table. "You're in for it now." Her knuckles popped as she flexed her fingers. In her anger she completely forgot about the unknowing new companion and the fire pokemon on her shoulder(or was, whatever you want).

"Fair enough." He managed to respond, following her towards the room while curiously observing his Quilava. Even as much of a...hippy as Crimson qualified as, it was quite new for him to take a liking to someone so quickly. While in response to the bucket and despite Minum's laughing, the fire-type was also growling at the pokémon cowering in the corner. Obviously by getting Miku wet, Crimson would have become wet as well...thus being one of the few things almost guaranteed to piss off any fire-type.
(Huh, I just realized one of Eevee's abilities is 'Run away'. Ironic.)
"If it would help, I could let out my Zangoose to beat up on, uh...Katsu...whatever-the-hell-it-was." Minum cleared his throat, his Alakazam letting itself out and floating in the middle of the hotel room near the ceiling. One by one, violet auras surrounded misplaced objects in the room as they began to place themselves in an orderly fashion. If nothing else, the psychic-type had been helping a lot today. By now, twiddling his thumbs, the trainer was wondering if he should've just kept quiet and watched.
However; If he had done that, perhaps she would've revealed a much different side of herself and perhaps been embarrassed by this. It mightn't have turned out right, and it wasn't as though things could get much more awkward. '...Wait, what?'

Miku noticed not the laughter her friend bellowed as she stormed in search of the eevee that caused her embarrassment but she took heed to the now soaked fire pokemon. She grinned evilly at her pokemon and Minum's before bending down to whisper to Crimson. "You know, I'm sure he'd love to play "tag" She gave a suggestive smile, urging the pokemon to attack the eevee as it saw fit.
As she stood up, her ears caught the voice of another, the only other human in the room. She whipped around with a sheepish grin. "Sorry about this...." She rubbed her arm subconsciously as she replied to his suggestion. "Nah, it's fine. And it's Katsutoshi. Don't ask please how he got it." She looked towards the now clean room then up to the Alakazam. "Thanks..." She murmured.
It was really only then the fact she was wet hit her. Her hazel eyes gazed down at her soaked clothes and sighed. "You don't mind if I change right?" She gave a questioning look to the male before heading to her bag that managed to remain untouched through her pokemon's games. Probably because they'd know they would be murdered or given off to TD for the best "fun" any one pokemon could want
She grabbed a few items before scurrying off to the bathroom on the other side of the room. When she asked if Minum minded if she changed she wasn't being serious, she was going to change and that was that.
