<Oh my god, the rock has a daddy! Hide me please…> The Mesprit was quick in diving into Mary Jane’s giant jacket, her head poking out of one of the pockets while watching the Nosepass. He was like a stiff statue, standing there to make sure that no one could ever come through. She couldn’t help feel guilty for her actions, and with the crazy emotions rumbling through the monotone looking Nosepass, she couldn’t help but cringe with shame.
“Why is it so upset?” MJ was quick to catch onto the odd rock’s funny body language. It was as if it was trying to shield the two from something. Unless this was some kind of greeting ritual that weird things with giant noses liked to do, then she wasn’t joining in. Instead, she took out her Pokedex to get a quick scan of the wild Pokémon to learn that it was really a Nosepass.
“Is it guarding something, like a nest maybe?” She questioned, suddenly aware of Esprit hiding away in the inside of her pocket. Her tails hanging limply outside like snakes as the two exchanged glances. She was a psychic Pokemon after all, and could easily tune into ones feelings and speech. Maybe she could communicate with this one.
“Ask it what its doing. And if it doesn’t stop staring at us, we’ll attack.” She was quick to order this command, her more brutal side showing. It just went to show her, she hated being stared at. The only reason she didn’t attack Chris was because that was an actual person. But it wasn’t as if she didn’t put up some kind of fight with him. In the end, she was forced to give in and let him watch the battle. But this time, she wasn’t planning on letting the Nosepass stare at her any longer.
<I really don’t want to…> The Mesprit grudgingly levitated out of her pocket, giving the Nosepass a nervous look before taking a deep sigh. Someone one of her older trainers used to do in order to calm down.
<So, um…What are you doing? We weren’t trying to bother you or any other Pokémon. And we kinda need that rock for training by the way, so can we have it back?> She questioned with hopeful eyes. Though her words weren’t the most amazing or descriptive, she was hoping that the Nosepass would simply give in.

Nosepass watched as the Mespirt quickly dove into the Trainers Pocket. It arms were still held wide open trying to defend the defenseless. It pointed toward the tiny rocks that now seemed to be pebbles that would eventually blend with the ground. "Nose nose nose pass nose pass!" he yelled trying to explain that the poor little creature could not defend itself and there was no reason to harm it any further.
The pokedex was then taken out and the rock quickly left the Pokemon's mind. It sprinted toward the Person and watched over her shoulder as the pokedex read out loud its very own data.
"Its nose is a magnet, as a result it's nose is always pointing north." it said in its electronic way. He clapped his hands joyfully , but then realized that he had totally left the rock alone! "That sneaky little Mespirt is gonna get it!" he though to himself as he dove onto the rock.
<So, um…What are you doing? We weren’t trying to bother you or any other Pokémon. And we kinda need that rock for training by the way, so can we have want it back?>
He looked at the Pokémon appalled at what it had just said. The reason this Nosepass was alone was because its pack considered it to be crazy . "NO! You may not take this precious creature back, your probably going to preform some sick minded torture on it!" he screamed shielding the rock with his stone arms.

Mary Jane wasn’t startled in the least by this Nosepass’s natural curiosity, but after hearing the voice pipe up from the Pokedex, she couldn’t help but ask...
“Aren’t you supposed to be pointing north or something?” She asked stubbornly, appearing disgusted by the Nosepass’s lack of personal space while taking a step back. He didn’t seem to mind until a strange look crossed his face, and he was glancing right back over at the rock like it was a priceless gem.
<Torture?! How can we torture a rock?> The Mesprit exclaimed, exasperated by this Nosepass’s lack of common sense. She was fretfully flying around the Nosepass in circles, trying to think up of something to do or say in order to get their training spot back. ’And of course I can’t explain the situation to MJ, for some reason I can’t speak telepathically with her. She won’t let me in! Argghhh...’
Esprit was beginning to look even more distraught over nothing, and MJ couldn’t help but take another step back in worry. If animals could go crazy, then imagine what a distressed Pokémon could do! The mature thing would be to simply move away, and then their problems would be over with. But she also wanted to do some training here; it was why she was here in the first place.
“Nosepass, I challenge you to a Pokémon Battle. Esprit, are you up for this?” MJ asked, not wanting to lose because of her Pokémon’s own damn insecurities. The Mesprit stopped her random buzzing around and came to a halt in front of MJ, giving her a light nod before turning around. The Nosepass was a lot scarier than that rock that was for sure. Mary Jane wasn’t all that sure if the Nosepass could understand her, seeing that it was a Wild Pokémon and everything. But she remembered hearing something about saying things from the heart, and a Pokémon could understand you no matter what…She wasn’t sure if it was true or not, but now was the time to find out.

“Aren’t you supposed to be pointing north or something?"
Nosepass looked at the trainer confused, why would he point north? He wasn't a very good Nosepass actually, he probably couldn't even pass for a good Geodude, especially when it came to battling.
"How could you torture a rock?! Well a simple way is by blowing it to smithereens like you've been doing!" he shouted not noticing that he had just threw the rock that he cared so much into the air. It didn't look like he was going to give in anytime soon, he was quite frustrated with the situation and he was someone who would always stick to his guns.
“Nosepass, I challenge you to a Pokémon Battle"
He understood that loud and clear, but in all of his lifetime he had never ever battled a Pokemon, not once. At this point the rock was completely out of focus and he didn't even remember what made him come to here in the first place. He thought for a few more moments "It must of been because this trainer was hunting me!" he said pointing toward the girl. "Well you and you little demon flying thing got yourself a battle!" she shouted taking a battle position.

MJ had to think for a moment, though with only one attack it really was a no-brainer on what to try or do. But was Esprit telling the truth? Was she actually ready for her first Pokemon Battle with her? That very brief training had told her, ‘Yes, I can do this!’, but there was a reason that she was abandoned in that Give-Away for a reason. Well, she wouldn’t fall for such reasons. Any Pokemon she wanted to catch or own would have to be a permanent member, with the exception of Pokemon for TD missions. So far she felt safe with what she had, but the maximum Pokemon you could carry was a total of 6. She already had 4 spots filled from random acts of kindness, except for Frenchi, who she earned.
“Be careful, and use a weak Hidden Power.” Mj spoke in an almost uncaring tone, but she just wanted to test out the waters first. Since it was their only attack, they had to be careful about the things that they did. So start off with something weak, then surprise the Nosepass with their true power.

Nosepass cautiously looked around as the attack was fired, what should he do. To late the attack hit him sending him flying on his back. He rolled around trying to bring himself to his feet, having an oddly shaped body wasn't a good thing to work with most of the time. he finally rocked hard enough to throw himself to his feet but off balance at that.
Hmmmmmmm what could he do.....Harden! That was a good idea getting his defense up. He concentrated focusing himself on making his rock body more sturdy and hard, which was obviously working since his dull body was now starting to shine. Hmmm now what else could he do ummmm....Oh! A tackle attack, he charged at the Pokemon running straight at them, but at a very slow speed.

MJ and Esprit exchanged confused glances at the sleek shimmer around the Nosepass, sensing that something was a little different about him. But she had practically no experience with Pokémon, so how was she to judge what an attack was supposed to look like?
“Think you can dodge that?” She began, taking a step back in fear for her own safety at the charging Nosepass. Seeing that Esprit was right in front of her, it could be a little easy to get caught in the crossfire.
<I think I can.> Mesprit began with an excited chirp, her body floating in the winds as the heavy tank came closer and closer with that huge body of his. She was quite anxious and excited to get this over with so she could make the next attack, and squeaked in alarm as her light body bended to the right. Her tails barely brushing against the Nosepass’s hard rock body as she gave a cry of joy. Thankful that she managed to dodge that without harm, except her tails felt a little twinge of pain, but she barely noticed that.
“Now get it in the back with Hidden Power, make it a little stronger this time.” She reminded herself to make the attacks a little stronger every time instead of holding back like the last time. Who knows, maybe this thing had a weak spot somewhere. Esprit bobbed her head in agreement, a red hue of fire suddenly glowing around her as it danced around her body in odd patterns. She wanted to release it as soon as possible, sensing the pressure on her so that the Nosepass couldn’t dodge. With a tiny grunt, she shot out the fire powered Hidden Power, anxious to see if the Nosepass would be as singed as the rock from earlier.

The Nosepass charged past the Legendary, feeling her tails whack against his face. No pain was caused, but for the Mesprit to tease him by dangling her tails in front of his face was just simply too much! Rumbling to a slow, but steady stop he spun around to glare at the floating pokemon. <You have no respect for rocks worldwide!> it yelled, fury showing in his eyes.
Seeing the Mesprit glow with a red light, flames licking her body, did nothing to ease the pokemon. <Y-you really are a demon thing!> it screamed, plucking up a rock and throwing it at the levitating pokemon. (not an attack just a rock)
Within moments the fire blasted towards him, he let out a girlish scream before being muffled by the inferno. The smoke settled and the rock pokemon trudged out, once gleaming nose now stained a characholed black.

<You have no respect for rocks word wide!>
The Mesprit gasped at this, completely stunned as she floated in mid-air to stare at the charcoal colored Nosepass. His whole body seemed singed from the attack, and she hadn’t even meant to hurt him all that much…Feeling guiltier than ever, she let the tiny rock hit her on the head as she slowly hovered onto the ground, bowing her head for forgiveness. <I’m so sorry! I didn’t know…I’m not a demon! I swear it!> The Mesprit wailed, not even being able to meet the Nosepass’s pained and crazy eyes as her emotions began to overflow. Being the being of emotion, she was becoming much more filled with uncontrollable power as her body began to glow a strange pink.
Whatever was going on with the Mesprit, Mary Jane didn’t know, or want to know. Some type of faint telekinetic connection had reached her, warning her of possible danger from the rising excitement inside of the Mesprit.
“Esprit! Return!” The first time trainer was fast in returning the tiny Mesprit back inside of her Pokeball, looking inside of it to meet a teary eyed Mesprit looking back up at her in silence. ’I wonder if he’s still in the mood to fight? Little Esprit did a good job on him, he looks blacker than my momma’. She tried to joke with herself, but who was she kidding? She was more nervous than ever, and couldn’t decide on which Pokémon to send out. Frenchi still looked pretty beat, and she had no idea what Indigo’s attacks did…So her guess was to use Lotad. He was a little tired, but so was the Nosepass.
“Lotad, you’re up!” She muttered, throwing the Pokeball into the air to release a somewhat stupid looking Lotad. He still needed a name too, but she just couldn’t think of any that would fit someone like him. The Lotad took one look at the much larger Nosepass and let out a large smile, running right up to the rock type to try and shake hands with him.
“No, it’s not time to make friends…Can’t you see what Esprit did to him?” Mary Jane questioned, expectantly looking at the Lotad for an answer while he tried to register what she just said. But it only went right through his ears as he persisted in trying to reach the Nosepass’s hand, but he was much too short to even get close.

The Nosepass watched nervously as the levitating demon began to stammer and cry out apologies. Where had this sudden transformation come from? Either way, the rock pokemon was a tad unsure about what to do, quite understandably, as the pokemon began to float towards him, teary eyed and glowing with a strange pinkish light.
The Nosepass jumped back in alarm, plucking up another rock and preparing to throw it. Regardless of the no effect it had had on the floating pink demon earlier, the Mesprit hadn't even complained about the impact of the rather large rock. The Nosepass was reluctant to be undefensless when around this pokemon, something was off about Esprit, something... sinister.
The Mesprit was quickly recalled by the trainer, the red flash of light quickly whisking the demon tailed pokemon away. The Nosepass relaxed instantly, the rock killer was gone... for now. But, he wouldn't dwell on that fact. There was a moment of pause, where the trainer seemed to be thinking.
Now would've been a good time for the pokemon to escape, but it seemed frozen, blissfully happy with his good fortune. The rock was still hoisted over his head, and it wasn't until the trainer uttered a sharp cry, and a red flash formed in front of him. He stiffened admitetally, expecting the demon to have been rebirthed.
But, no, it was just a dumb looking pokemon tottering over to him. A oblivious and stubborn expression on his face as he attempted to reach his loose arm. To what? Shake? The Nosepass was confuddled. One of the trainer's pokemon tried to kill him after destroying some innocent rocks... and then this?
He did not get this. At all.
He figured he might as well be friendly, so he reached down to grasp the stubby hand. Being thrown off balance though, the rock fell from his grip and right ontop of the Lotad. Time seemed to freeze as the Nosepass clutched air, the Lotad's paw being flattened as the rock fell ontop of him.
Panic ensured as the Nosepass threw the rock off of him effortlessly, nearly hitting Mary Jane in the process. He poked the grass and water pokemon desperately, he did not want to be a cold-blooded killer like that floating demon. He would die if he had to be assiocated with the demon's name. <Hey? Dude! You alright?> he called out worridly.

OOC:
XDDDDDD
Fake BIC:
Mary Jane watched in alarm as Nosepass reached down to shake hands and walked even closer to the two and break it up. More than petrified to see a dead Lotad right under the rock, and even worse, because she was moving, the path of the rock connected with her head, killing her instantly.
-fake Godmoding/powerplaying-
Nosepass: -shifts eyes and slowly backs away from the scene-
THE REAL AND OFFICIAL BACKINCHARACTER:
<I’M DYING! I’M DYING! I’M DYING! wait…no I’m okay…> The Lotad was quickly back on all four legs, if not a little shaken from the whole experience, he was quite alright. After each poke, the Lotad looked up at the Nosepass with a questioning look, not quite understanding what that last couple of seconds were all about.
“Gah!” MJ held her arms out protectively as the giant rock flew right by her head as if it was a plastic ball, turning with a petrified look towards the Nosepass. That thing was really strong when it wanted to be…To bad that it looked like it wanted to rape someone, or else she would’ve gladly captured it.
“God, I need a drink.” The older woman sighed as soon as she realized that she was out of harm’s way, but she had priorities at the moment. It was important to take care of this thing as soon as possible, before they actually died from its natural stupidity. The Lotad, she meant.
“I thought I mentioned that we were in a battle…Does anyone listen to me? No, they never listen to a hysterical woman out in the wild.” MJ continued, ranting to herself as she paced back and forth, sensing the friendly nature around Lotad and Nosepass, but there was simply nothing she could do about it. It wasn’t as if she could change his nature or something.
<Erm, um…Dude…Are we really supposed to battle?> The Lotad questioned, completely forgetting that MJ had ordered him to do it the moment he came out.

The Nosepass was on the brink of freaking out, once he lifted the rock off of the seemingly crushed Lotad. It twiched slightly, making the Nosepass' worry ease up a little. A loud outburst from the for once quiet Lotad, startled the pokemon.
<I’M DYING! I’M DYING! I’M DYING!>
Once he was able to diechirfer what the small pokemon was screaming. He began screaming like a little girl in denial as well.<Nonononononooooo!> he screamed, collasping to the ground and throwing a little mini-fit. Fists pounding against the ground, he continued to scream. That is until the Lotad quieted down and stood, it was almost like a cue for the Nosepass to brush himself off and stand, dignatity restored.
<Sorry 'bout that.> the pokemon muttered, looming over the small toad-like pokemon. <'Tis was an accident. It slipped...> he added, offering a explaination. The Nosepass frowned as the rock soared last MJ. Hm. That would've hurt if that had connected. Happy that everyone was okay... well except for the poor rocks. The Nosepass looked around sadly at the now sparce rocks. Most had been blown to simthereens by now.
<Battle...? Well, she wants us to.> the rock pokemon said, glancing at the trainer with curiosity. <To be honest. I don't mind, as long as it isn't that floating demon.> he added.

<Um...Okay, well, lets try and have fun then.> The Lotad grinned, thankful for having such an understanding opponent. Trotting a safe distance away from the Nosepass, he turned to notice that MJ had no idea what was going on. She wasn't even paying attention to him, even after he agreed to battle. Didn't she speak Pokemon?
Since she was still ranting, he didn't want to hurt his buddy Nosepass right away. Only when Mary Jane wanted him to attack, then he would. So what better way to draw every one's attention than a Growl attack. Except this time he wasn't being the cute and adorable Lotad that he usually was. Instead, he was actually trying to appear tough by 'roaring' like a lion.
At least it grabbed Mary Jane's attention, snapping her out of her little rant to stop and stare at the Lotad and Nosepass. So they really were going to battle after all? It was odd, it didn't sound like they got into an argument of any kind. So why were they fighting? Whatever, like she was going to stop it.
"Go get'em..." She whispered, calming herself down in order to watch from a safe distance. Assuming that the Nosepass wasn't going to start throwing anymore of those rocks, heck, that should be an attack.

<Um...Okay, well, lets try and have fun then.>
The Nosepass nodded happily, before looking at the small lilypad pokemon. Wait, perhaps this was not such a great idea. I mean, sure he loved to battle... but against his friend? That only weighed a few pounds? 250 > 10. The Nosepass grimaced, this was going to be a challenging battle, he didn't want to kill that little guy after all!
The Nosepass was hesitant about attacking the Lotad, it had been so nice to him after all. He would feel cruel attacking first. With his eyes narrowing, and mouth easing out of it's usual 'o' shape and into a snarl, he hoped he looked intimdating. Hopefully this would encourage the trainer to make the first move.
Mary Jane wasn't even paying attention though! Pah. Some trainer, but the Lotad played it safe with a Growl. It both lowered his attack power and attracted the trainers attention. However the Nosepass snorted softly at the Lotad's 'fierce' expression. Looked like he needed to poop.
He quickly refocused himself on the battle, getting the hilirious image of the Lotad out of his mind. Well. He sure wasn't going to attack first, so, might as well bulk up! The Nosepass used Harden. His thinking was much the same that of the Lotad's. He didn't want to hurt his friend.

Out of the two attacking moves that Lotad knew, Mary Jane didn't know which would be the best to try out. Still she was oblivious to type advantages, resistances, and moves that didn't quite have an effect at all. All she knew was that he had one that healed and did damage, and one that did damage and would stop that Nosepass from attacking...Well, maybe. There were no guarantee's.
'I think lotad might still be tired from his last battle, so I should use Absorb...NO! Wait, I'll use Astonish first to catch that thing off guard. Then use Absorb. I like that idea a lot better.' She thought with a perplexed look, trying to debate over if she should stick to that plan or hope that something else should pop into her head. Calling out her orders a little bit too urgently, she was fast, and her lack of confidence showed.
"Use Astonish, Lotad!" She called, covering the sides of her mouth with her hands as if her normal voice wouldn't be loud enough. Lotad heard it anyway, and much like a bull would before the great charge he tried to brush his feet against the grass and dirt before trying to ram into the Nosepass with a ghost like Astonish.

The Nosepass stared at the trainer quizzically, his small, nearly nonexcint eyes flicking to the Lotad everyone in a while. Was she giving a cammand by simply cotortioning her face? Either way, the Lotad seemed just as out of it as the Nosepass. This made the rock pokemon feel better knowing that he wouldn't get attacked out of nowhere. One explaintion left for her odd facial expressions. She was weird.
The Nosepass waited patiently, never moving his gaze off of Mary Jane. She was an odd one, a hobo jacket on, but a sparkly shirt on underneath. The Nosepass mulled the idea of traveling with her, but then grimaced at though. She was probably why the Lotad was so idiotic. No one could be born that stupid. No one. The friendly lilly pad pokemon was probably dropped as a egg.
A voice jolted him out of reviere and as the Lotad was issued a command, the rock pokemon braced himself for the oncoming attack. The Lotad moved swiftly despite such stubby legs, this battle would be harder than he thought. The Lotad darted quickly from side to side, and the Nosepass knew it would be unable to outrun the pokemon. It simply sat there and took the attack. Not much damage was gained, but a bit of health was gone.
But more importantly, the Nosepass had not been expecting the after effects of the attack and Flinched!

Ending up practically right underneath the shadow of the Nosepass’s nose, Lotad looked up with another excited smile on his face. He didn’t mind the possibility of being hurt, because it wasn’t as if the Nosepass was going to kill him or anything. And he was mentally trained for this kind of stuff while being raised in the lab, so anything was possible. Seeing that his buddy wasn’t going to do anything else, he took the time to shoot out another ‘terrifying’ Growl for the dramatic effect.
“You didn’t have to do that, but…” Mary Jane thought it over, and decided that the Growl wasn’t all that bad. It was good that the Lotad was beginning to think on his own, it showed that he was learning from things. Ah, forget it. She wasn’t good with words.
“You ready? Fine, now use Absorb!” She couldn’t help but keep the smile on her face, feeling like she was reading these lines off of a script. It was already planned, and everything seemed to be working for them. Lotad kept up the funny glowing lights around his body, rising up into the air from the leaf on his back to attach themselves onto the Nosepass, since they were closer, it would be harder to dodge. Though it wasn’t necessarily going to be more powerful than it would have been from the distance, it was still good.

The Nosepass was easily hit by the Absorb and he could feel his energy being sucked away. He backed off slightly, losing his footing and stumbling. He fell face first and his nose left an indent in the ground.
The Pokémon scrambled to his feet and glared intently at the Lotad. <Stop making me look stupid!> he said, then realized it sounded a lot better in his head. He groaned and sniffed, there seemed to be dirt stuck in his over-sized nose. Then Nosepass decided he should probably attack about now.
He used Harden again to up his defense before using Tackle.
His attack would hurt because one; he was made of mostly rock and two; he weighed a lot.

Lotad and MJ couldn’t help but snicker at the Nosepass for slipping into the ground, little bits of dirt staining his once well polished body with smears all over the select area. Good thing that dirt didn’t smell and it was a good thing that that wasn’t dog crap, MJ thought with an amused giggle. She just didn’t get enough laughs these days; she was feeling old when she should be celebrating the best years of her life.
<But you don’t look stupid…> The Lotad whined, trying to keep the tension away from them as they battled it out. He didn’t flinch at the Harden, barely noticing it as he squeaked in fear of the colossal rock tower heading right for him with a Tackle.
“Don’t forget that Esprit already hurt him quite a bit, so you have an edge.” She called, trying to get her Lotad’s spirits up before the Tackle connected. It was a good thing that he used some of those growls from earlier, or else it would’ve been a lot worse. Still, the guy was made almost entirely out of rocks. And poor Lotad was on the ground, upside down struggling to get back onto his two feet. Somehow, after a lot of rocking back and forth, he managed to catch his footing and was back on his four feet.
“Use another Absorb?” She was now just questioning herself and her commands. She wanted Lotad to have as much health as possible, and it seemed to hurt this Nosepass a lot more than when they were fighting with Frenchi. Lotad was really wishing that he knew some more attacks by now, but kept on coming with each grass type attack. He was on a roll, getting STAB from using a grass type move, and getting some health in the process. That is, if it hit.

<Stop laughing at me!> the nosepass cried, angered at how stupid he looked. As if that was enough, the Lotad had to nerve to go and attempt to fix the situation with a terse 'You don't look stupid'. Yeah. Right. This rock pokemon totally believed him. Not.
The Nosepass was yet again, unable to dodge the Absorb attack. The small orbs attached to his figure, one even landing on his dirt smudged nose making the situation worse. The small bubbles began to glow as his health was sucked away. The Nosepass attempted to swat the orbs away, but due to his also stubby arms, was unable to do much.
Once the bubbles floated away, now attaching to the Lotad, he could feel himself getitng weaker. The super effective attacks were taking a toll on him and he had been battling with that demon from earlier. He could feel his muscles weakening. This battle was almost over. The Nosepass wouldn't go down without a fight though. The Harden attacks he had been doing had kept him from being knocked out this turn. Perhaps they would help him this time around?
Glistening with his new body armor, he charged weakly at the Lotad once again.
