Reid yawned as he continued on his way, sort of tired. It was evening, about 5:00, but he couldn't stop yet, he had to continue on his way, since he was already on his journey. He wanted to get at least close to the town, so that in the morning, it wouldn't be a long trek to the next place. Of course, that wasn't exactly right, since he felt he'd have to train quite a bit if he did get there so soon, but he just wanted to get going.
Sighing to himself, he looked around, wondering where the people were. It was a beginner route, so there had to be some sort of people around. Then, with a click, a flash of light came out, and Reid gasped. What was going on? It then hit him, his clefairy was going to show itself to him. He'd not shown it, since he wasn't sure if he'd like it, but looks like he wasn't about to get a choice now.
The clefairy shook its head, then smiled, bouncing over to him and jumping on his shoulder. She played with his hair, before sitting down and watching happily.
Reid looked at the clefairy, frankly shocked, then sighed, saying "Well, I have no idea what to call you. So, for now, you can be Clefairy. " He continued on, wondering what was going to happen. Hopefully something interesting.

Today was very cold, and most Pokemon were out hiding in the trees and bushes due to the ice and rain that had come the past few days. A Lone Spinarak on the other hand was enjoying this day, swinging through out the trees on his string. He was simply carefree honestly and wasn't about to let a little weather get to him.
When landing in one tree close to the Route, the little Spider Pokemon noticed the trainer and how the Clefairy just popped out of it's ball. He had never seen such a Pink Pokemon before and just HAD to find out what it did. Swinging down from the branches, the Spinarak landed right in front of the trainer and his Pokemon. He yelled out to the Clefairy victoriously.

Reid hadn't expected something to appear, honestly, since he hadn't seen a creature around as of yet, but as a spinarak appeared, and squeaked out a challenge of some sort he suspected. He always wondered what Pokemon were saying, it probably would be great fun to be able to talk to all your pokemon like friends, even the one's that aren't psychic.
Clefairy looked at the pokemon, who demeaned her by calling her pink fluff, and she leaped down, saying "How dare you! You'll pay for that flippant remark! I'm the image of beauty!" She growled, taking up a stance for combat.
Reid sighed, and said "You sure seem combative. Ok. I'd like to see how strong you are anyway. Lets do this!" He grinned, before saying "Ok, use pound!"
Clefairy bounded rapidly towards the Spinarack, arm readied to deliver a blow to the small bugs body.

He winced as he got hit by the Pound attack. The Spinerak seriously had not considered that a small bundle of pink fluff could beat him. He was a spider. Pink fluffs were supposed to be girly. And - his mother had told him - girls were mostly afraid of spiders. He shrugged, sighing a little to himself. It was too bad that he couldn't do the right thing, he always chose the wrong ones to battle. Why couldn't he have made a better choice, like battling a pink fluff that was actually afraid of spiders? He sighed again, then made his move.
<Pink fluff, pink fluff,> he taunted viciously, the face on his back turning to a sneer. This ball of pink fluff wasn't going to get to him! He was determined that that should not happen, and it would never happen if he wasn't wanting to do that.
Then he launched himself at the pink fluff with his Poison String attack, feeling determined that he must win this battle.

The pink puff in question was in no way afraid of spiders. It had insulted her looks, insinuating that her perfect looks, in all her cute glory, could be reduced to the image of a pink puff. A pink puff! This upstart spider would pay, as she would squish it with her bare hands if she had to! Reaching it, she hit it soundly, before jumping back to her trainer, waiting for the next move. As the pokemon taunted, she grew angrier and angrier. How dare this fool call her a pink fluff!
Reid watched the looks that the spinarack and his clefairy were trading off, and Reid winced. She seemed rather...angry. Reid wouldn't have expected that from this pokemon, as it had seemed kind enough at first. Maybe it didn't take well to being insulted? As the needles were shot, Clefairy got hit, and he winced. Oh, she would not like that. He then called out "Pound! Again!"
Clefairy saw the needles coming, but couldn't dodge, she was just too slow for the attack. They hit, it landing in her arm, and it hurt, but not extremely. She plucked out the needle, and went on the attack again, bounding towards the spider and saying "I'll squish you in my hands for that you pathetic arachnid!"

Upon seeing no fear in the pink fluff's eyes, the Spinarak suddenly realized something very crucial to the battle. He was screwed. Not only was the Clefairy not afraid of spiders, it also had a very firery spirit. Such spirit in battle generally meant terrible things for someone like him. If he threw out an insult, a tactic he generally used in battle, it would most likely just feed the flames of her temper. For some pokemon, insults would put them down and cause them to lose. For the rest...insults just got their confidence going as they strived for a way to prove they were infact the better one.
At first he saw the clefairy running at him with her fists up and then he saw something completely blue. His stomach was in pain and his brain was starting to get dizzy wondering what the heck this giant blue thing was. When his head began to clear, he realized that he had been pounded in the stomach, fell on his back, and was currently writhing in pain while looking up at the sky. What a terrible turn of events for him.
He flipped himself over the second he felt able to stand up without throwing up. Almost like an instant reaction, little purple needles were shot from his body and projected towards his enemy. <You're going to regret challenging me!> There was no confidence in his voice to back him up, but atleast he didn't sound desperate or pathetic.

As she ran back, she saw that it was on its back, and grinned. It was like a spider flipped on its back, flailing helplessly to right itself. Served it right for thinking that it would be so foolish as to challenge her. She was the image of perfection, and battled like it too. In fact, with her darling new trainer, who was such a cute kid too, they would be unstoppable! They could rise to the top, and sparkle like the star she was, the trainer being lucky enough to share the glory of what she would be.
As the pokemon finally did right itself, it yelled that she would reget her challenge, and she laughed, saying "I don't think so!" As the poison spike was thrown towards her, she attempted to dodge, but she wasn't again quick enough, and too a spike to the leg. Before much poison to enter her, she pulled it out, getting slightly dizzy but not really disorented. Yet.
Reid winced as it hit once again, and decided to work on his dodging more, as it seemed to need it. As she pulled it out, he nodded, and said "Use pound one more time!"
Clefairy ran forward, nearly stumbling as she realized she was a bit more disoriented than she thought, but kept it up, stubby arm raised to deal another crushing blow to the spider, attemting to squish it once and for all!

The Spinark was just as woozy as the Clefairy, if not more. That last attack had knocked the wind out of him, but he was a stubborn little creature. He believed he was onmipotent, and although he was weakening, somehow, he had the faith and determination to forge through with this heated battle.
The green blob, narrowed his already beady eyes at the pink blob's insulting words. She would regret it. He would make it so. <And what's going to stop me from beating you to a pulp... Pinky?> he snapped, nearly using the dreaded pink blob. But decided that wasn't such a good idea and decided to stick with something a little less insulting.
The Spinark was getting quite tired and although tried to dodge the quickly oncoming pokemon, failed and got pounded back quite fiercely. His head throbbing, he turned to meet the Pokémon face to face. With a snarl, he let out yet another Poison Sting and a might battle cry that he hoped would strike fear into his opponent's heart.
It was a heart of rock though, so he wasn't expecting much.

The woozy pokemon before her was no match for her speed, which she zoomed forward and smashed her stubby arm on his forcing him backwards at the same time. She then used her forward momentum to not bounce back, as she had all the other times, she had proceeded forward, bouncing towards a tree then used it as a brace. As the needles were shot, she sprang, managing to miss it completely, though she wasn't in the best position to retaliate.
Reid watched in shock as she pulled off this maneuver, and wondered to himself out loud "Where'd she come up with that? I never thought a new pokemon would think of that." It seemed a bit far fetched. Then again, who knows. Maybe he'd caught a clever one. It made sense when you thought on it. "Now, pound!"
As she regained her footing, she attempted to throw a pound, though she couldn't get her footing well at her position. So, as she neared, she let out a badly aimed pound, once again, not sure where it would turn out, or if she'd even hit, but at least she'd dodged that last attack.

<Ha!> he cried out loud, his voice not nearly as confident and loud as he wanted it to be. It merely sounded like a 'hm', very quietly. He groaned inwardly, sure that he would be in trouble when the time came for the pink fluff to attack again. And attack she did. Her attack was Pound, but it didn't hurt as much as before. Luckily, that was because she wasn't positioned either. That was quite the good thing.
But now his head throbbed even more than it had, and he groaned again. He wasn't able to lift his head very well, but he managed to throw a couple of small pointed beads towards the fluff of pink color that really was more of a blur now. They weren't very sharp, but that was not his fault. Or rather, it was, but it was because of the pink fluff that he was making his not as sharp. He shook his head. This wasn't helping. In fact, it was making him even more confused than he already was. So he just threw yet another Poison Sting, this time much weaker, at the pink blur that caused him so much trouble.

He cried out loud hah, clefairy noted, as her pound hit, thankfully. It wasn't very powerful, but they both were getting weaker. Still, she would not die, if only because pure rage would power on to destroy him. No one, none would get the upper hand of her, she was perfect, and would never stand to have this upstart of a spider tarnish her record. As the spikes flew towards her, she dodged these, quite easily, they were badly aimed, and turned, only to get one right in her shoulder. She winced in pain, it really hurt this time, and she pulled it out once more. If she got hit much more, she knew she'd be poisoned, so she decided, this would end it.
Reid watched, interested, as she pulled it out, the pure rage visible. He made a mental note to never, ever, get on her bad side. Nodding, he could tell she wanted to end this, and he uttered his command. "Pound!" It was kind of anticlimatic to do the same thing over again, but hey, what could he do?
The clefairy already knew what to do before he called it out, since she was so perfect like that, and sprang off when he commanded it. Rage made her hands steady, as she bounded towards him, and hand rushed down, in a direct line to connect with the poor pokemon unless it managed to pull off a miraculous dodge.

The Spinarak was on the brink of fainting, sheer determination being the only thing keeping him up. A soft groan escaped from his mouth as he quivered at the intense rage that was radiating off this Pokémon. At least, if he was caught, he wouldn't have to battle her again.
At least he hoped not.
He didn't just want to take the attack though, that would be the same as giving up. The exhausted Pokemon, while knowing he couldn't escape, did a valiant effort of leaping out of the way. However, the speed of the pink blob simply allowed him to go flying through the air and crashing into a nearby tree.
The spider Pokémon collapsed to the ground, lying there limply at the base of the tree. That pink blob could fight.
Congrats! You have defeated Spinarak! Capture or move on? Clefairy gains a level!

Clefairy looked on in surprise as the pokemon was finally thrown into a group of tree's. She sat down, cheery but tired, and raised a paw as if to hail her victory to all. She had won her first battle, something that would never return, but since she had won, it would always remain a good memory. She grinned and said, in ragged breaths, rage no longer filling her with energy, "I..won! Take...that...spider!" Surely this would be the last she'd see of this creature, since her trainer would never allow such a creature on their team!
Reid, missing that said fact, pulled out a pokeball, and was about to let fly before he caught the clefairy's venomous glare. It was almost enough to cut the air in half, and he could tell she would not be happy sharing a team with that spider. So, with a heavy heart, he sighed, and put it away. "Ok, you win."
The clefairy bounced over to him, if you could consider her meager attempts at them as such. She looked up at him, waiting for him to pick her up, and as he did, she nodded. Good, he wasn't totally clueless that she was the moneymaker of the team. It it wasn't for her, he'd still be in a backwater town.

It was cold. And it was wet. And most of all; there was slush everywhere! The cold, mushy feeling that you felt with each footstep had a strange addicting sensation to it. The most curious of Pokémon would stay in it, even after they turned a bright red from all of the cold. For most little ones though, they could care less. Even after receiving a case of frostbite.
<I’m a cold, I’m a cold, I’m a COLD! OH DEAR LORD, WHY IS IT STILL SO COLD?!> A young Wooper started crying out into the sky. Though there was nothing to gain from it, save for attempting to save some of her sanity, (which was failing, by the way), it was also a way to cope with her loneliness. Most of her friends had hidden from the Winter’s chill, and she had been waiting for so long to have some company. However, she also became slightly needy, and clingy, at the same time.

Reid sighed, looking around after having won his first fight, and realized that despite the rush that he was feeling, there really wasn't that big of a difference between now and a few seconds ago. Ah well, with one glaring exception. Before, the Clefairy on his shoulder hadn't been playing with his hair and giggling. Which, he had to say, was odd. Walking along, he wondered exactly what was so funny with his hair. Pokemon were weird, he decided upon, and no one could ever find them out.
The Clefairy in question was playing with his hair for the main reason that his hair was an unruly mess, and he needed to be preened. It was well and good he was a quaint little homebody, she could work with that, but his hair! It was just inexcusable, and she wouldn't deal with it. She was a star, she didn't have to deal with it!
Reid, having witnessed the fury of her, had wisely decided to let her do whatever she was doing, until he happened upon a whooper. A whooper! He smiled, and said "Time to shine!" He struck his battle pose, and said "Fia, its up to you! Start off with pound!"
Fia, as she was now called, nodded, and jumped up, ready to get this over with. It was understandable he'd need practice, but that name he had just came up with rang true, so she was certain he'd come round soon enough. As she bounded down, she sprang forward, pudgy arm heading towards the whooper in an attempt to smash it.

Having no idea of the incoming attack, the Wooper mindlessly twirled around in an attempt to cure her boredom. As if the holy angels were looking down on her, she managed to maneuver herself out of harm’s way, leaving Fia to pound herself into a pile of snow. The Winter was long, and boring. Nothing new ever happened around here. Heck, it’s been ages since she even saw a human. Those were the funniest beings on the planet. Sometimes, they sing funny things out loud, when they think no one can hear them, and sometimes, they might eat a poisonous mushroom in a search for food. It was hilarious.
<But you don’t see any of that around here. ARCEUS! CURE MY BOREDOM!> She shouted to the heavens, hopping in random directions, just making her a difficult target to hit, and making her attention ever harder to grab.

Reid watched in amazement as not only did the pokemon not notice this, but it in fact dodged the attack quite nicely. Who would have thought that it would be that good? It was like a million to one chance that such a thing would happen, but hey. Maybe he was just lucky like that. Or unlucky, depending on who you talked to. Most would likely say he was the kind of guy that should watch out for something if it had a one in a million chance in happening, because he was just that kind of guy. "Use pound again!"
The clefairy though, was livid. This whooper, who was clearly about as bright as a sack of bricks, had dodged one of her attacks. One of her attacks. Who could even think it? As she continued to wander on, yelling for Arceus to relieve her boredom, she yelled out " HEY! BLUE PUKE! WERE OVER HERE!" Meanwhile, she ran forward again, and aimed her arm.

The wooper continued it's meaningless walk around the area, still blissfully oblivious to the attacking pokemon and trainer. Although rather blind, and slightly thickheaded, the pokemon did have to notice a screamed insult from a pink clefairy.
The wooper, overjoyed that she was finally getting some action turned, an excited gleam in her eye. < HI! WHO SAI-> she began, before screaming. The Clefairy was racing towards her, her plump arm ready to connect with her face.
<HEY! WHOA! I TAKE IT BACK ARCEUS! I LIKE BEING BORED!> she yelled to the heavens, before getting a brutal punch to the face and random parts of the body. Grunting almost comically, the pokemon fell to the ground and lay there for a while, collecting her thoughts.
Well, she had asked for this. Might as well have some fun with it, plus the pink fluffy thing had a human with it and humans did funny things! She should try to make the human do funny things! Inspired, the pokemon leapt to her feet and ran over to the clefairy, before performing a Tail Whip smacking the pokemon's face. Then she aimed the Water Gun at Reid and watched as a quickly moving stream of water shot out towards the trainer.

She suddenly seemed to realize that no attention would be better than the fury of the pink ball, and as she yelled that she took it back, she took a heavy pounding. The Clefairy bounced away as the attack landed, and grinned. Well, it was about time she stop complaining. Well, as she lay she looked surprised. Maybe she'd gotten stronger than she thought in that last battle. She was busy being proud of herself when the creature had gotten up and ran over to her, performing a tail whip and then turning her attention to Reid, spraying him with water.
Reid watched as the attack hit, and the whooper yelled something, before laying there. Was she out in just one hit? No. That would be far too easy. Wouldn't it? It was in fact, and as she got up, he looked at her and said "Use Pound!" The tail whip had hit, and he was ready for her to attack, but she instead sprayed water at him. What? He dived out of the way, surprised. That wasn't normal.
The Clefairy went crazy as the pokemon attacked her trainer. This was her trainer. Her trainer, was being attacked by some crazy whooper. This meant war. She let out a war cry, yelling "OH YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT BLUKE!" And ran forward, her hand going up to to smash down on this impudent.

The Wooper had a rather silly grin on it's face, but the squinting of the eyes towards the Cleafairy did let on to the fact that this wasn't just playtime for the wooper. The water type after attacking the trainer, lept away with a nimble speed.
Landing on her tail a few feet away, she had a toothy grin on her face, as she survayed the damage she had caused. The wooper giggled with glle seeing the rather shocked expression on the pink fluff's face. She was in awe, the wooper liked to believe.
The trainer had a mirror look on his face and the wooper skipped and clapped her tail on the ground in joy, for even though she had missed the attack, she had gotten to see that priceless look on the trainer's face.
The wooper was distracted as the Clefairy yelled, and the pokemon even jumped a bit, startled. <WELL YEAH. DITTO!> she yelled back, feeling the need to say something. However insults were not her thing.
The wooper attempted to roll out of the way of the attack, but the determined Clefairy made contact and the pokemon let out a grunt as she was whacked painfully. Although, she didn;t stay down this time. She jumped straight up and quickly used Water Gun attempting to spray away the Clefairy.
