Andy takes off from the lab full of excitement and anticipation for the beginning of her journey. With her backpack full of supplies, and her new Pichu at her side (Not literally, he's in the Pokeball!) she felt as if she could take on the whole world of Pokemon! She follows a dirt path leading north from the Pokemon Lab, assuming it must be part of Route 1, where many of the region's trainers begin their journeys according to what she's read. Andy watches the horizon and area around her carefully, keeping a sharp eye out for any wild Pokemon to battle or catch. The scenery she sees while doing so seems very pleasant and fitting for such an important day for her. Lush green trees line the pathway, grass moist with the morning dew sways gently in the breeze, and the sky is a wonderful shade of light blue, dotted with the occasional white blotch of a cloud. "Ah~ This is nice." Andy comments quietly to herself with a smile.

A wild Pokémon was scavenging the area by the path. He thirsted, and so he was looking for water to quench this thirst. He ventured out onto the path, and almost made it to the grass on the other side when he heard footsteps. It was a human.
<Ah, I wonder if she has Pokémon? I'd like a nice battle,> the Aron said, forgetting about his thirst. He whipped his body around to face the trainer and slanted his eyes in a challenge. Aron, ar, ar!
A wild Aron appears! ::Aron::

Andy jumps a little in surprise at the little Aron's challenge. "Oh! Does it want to battle?" She smiles as she conjured Pichu's Pokeball from her bag. "Alright, little guy, you came to the right girl if it's a battle you want!" Andy announces as she tosses the ball to the ground infront of the Aron, summoning Pichu in a bright flash. "Chuuu!" Pichu cries out as he sees his challenger, and positions himself to fight. "Alright Pichu, our first battle! Let's show this Aron what we've got!" "Chu!"

The wild Aron laughed at the little Pichu, taunting it. Aron had been anticipating a battle with a trainer for quite some time, for he had never battled against one. He only playfully fought with other wild Pokemon, and so this was a new experience to him. He had heard stories from his Poke-friends that had escaped from the trainer trying to catch them that it was a greater thrill to duel a trainer, but he never knew how great it was until now.
He pawed at the ground with his little feet, getting ready to tackle his opponent at full speed. Arrr-on! The Aron bellowed out as he was running. His tiny steel body was headed towards the Pichu almost in a flash.

"Pichu, quickly, Bide!" Pichu stands his ground firmly, bracing himself for the incoming attack from the charging Aron in order to absorb the energy from the attack and counter. "Chaaa!" Pichu cries as he's struck hard by Aron's hard steel Tackle. He bounces backward from the force of the attack, but holds his ground, little claws digging into soil for footing as he slides backward. "Pi-chu!" Pichu charges toward the Aron, attempting to use the stored energy to strike back while his opponent is still recovering from the impact of his attack.

The wild Aron tilted his head at the Pichu, as if he wasn't worried one bit. He seemed to be just staying where he was and like he was not going to defend himself. However, when the Pichu was almost a foot away, the Aron started kicking up mud at the Pichu - Mud Slap.
Though he didn't want to be hit, if he was successful in lowering his foe's accuracy, he would stand a better chance in winning this battle. However, if he lost, he would most likely be captured and taken away from his friends. Well, he just couldn't let that happen, now could he?

"Chu!" The Mud Slap hits Pichu right in the face, but Aron waited a little too long before his attack, and even though Pichu can't see too well his momentum carries him forward that last foot, slamming into Aron. Seeing the powerful collision, Andy gasps, wondering if either of them are hurt badly. "Ow, that looked like it hurt, Pichu! Are you okay!?" She calls out.

The Aron bellowed out when the Pichu successfully hit him with the return attack of Bide, and this angered him. However, he was also successful with his Mud Slap, and so now his foe's accuracy was down.
Aron stood up again, not yet ready to give up. Pichu's accuracy was lowered, so if he raised his defense, he might just win. What would happen if he won, though? They would just part from each other, and that would be it. Also, though, he would stay with his friends. His thoughts were getting mixed up in his mind, and he was starting to get confused.
Aron shook his head to snap back to reality, then hardened his body to raise his defense. If only the Pichu would be away for long enough, he could withstand an attack with less damage to him. He tried to hurry up, but the trainer was quick, as was her Pichu.

"Hm? Harden... he must be weak, he's trying to raise his defense..." Andy comments quietly to herself while she quickly thinks up a plan. "Pichu, use Thundershock to Paralyze him!" "Cha!" Pichu nods as he pulls himself up. He tries to focus his vision on the slightly blurry image of Aron standing infront of him as his cheeks begin to emit little sparks of electricity. "Pi-chuuu!" Pichu cries out as he launches out the weak bolt of electricity that is Thundershock- just strong enough to have a good chance of paralyzing an opponent, but not strong enough to injure them seriously.

The Aron had raised his defense just enough so that if he was hit with the Thundershock, he wouldn't faint, anyway, no matter how tired he would be.
He sped his way towards the Pichu, hoping to both miss the attack and hit him with another Tackle, but he wasn't quick enough. The Thundershock struck him and lit his whole body up. Arrrr! The Aron struggled to get back up, but he was no where near as fast as he was when the battle started, for he was extremely exhausted now. However, he still started to run towards the Pichu again for a Tackle, however slow he may be.
He mused over the idea of beating this Pichu and being able to brag about it to his friends that he had beaten his first ever trainer battle. He still had a little bit to go before the outcome was evident, though, and so he tried to remain focused on the situation at hand.

"Yeah, good work Pichu!" Andy cheers on her Pokemon as his attack succeeds. He seems pretty weak now... Andy ponders to herself as she watches him get up and begin to charge back at Pichu with much less energy than he before. She nods to herself, deciding what to do, and produces a Pokeball from her backpack. "All right, here we go!" Andy announces as she tosses the red and white ball towards the charging Aron.

The wild Aron was sucked into some type of light orb, it seemed to him. He struggled to escape the Pokeball, for he almost immediately realized what was happening - the trainer was trying to catch him.
After a few seconds, the Pokeball opened again, this time releasing him. He had escaped. Arrrr-on! The wild Aron laughed at the trainer, mocking her with his success. He looked at the Pichu and taunted, <You'll have to do better than that!>
He raced toward the Pichu with another Tackle, still a bit slow, but he had regained some of his energy. He still wasn't ready to give up, and he would have to faint before he was caught, for he was a true fighter.

"Shoot, newbie mistake... Andy scolds herself as she watches her Pokeball go to waste, Aron breaking free from it valiantly. This Pokemon is tough, he'd be great to catch, but I'll have to weaken him more... Andy comments to herself. Seeing Aron getting up and charging again, she gets back to the immediate issue. "Pichu! Use Bide again!" Pichu obeys, and gets ready to embrace the incoming attack.

Upon hitting the Pichu, Aron knew his mistake. The trainer had her Pokemon to use Bide again, but for how long this time? Though Aron knew it would just be a greater return attack if he wasn't able to dodge it, he circled around to go in for another Tackle. He was trying his best to win, but right now, he didn't see that happening.
Aron headed for the Pichu once more, though he sensed it might be his last. He had put up a good fight, anyway, so if he was caught, he would at least be able to keep his dignity and be proud, unlike some other Pokemon that was caught almost instantly. He still didn't back down, though, and all the while he was giving this battle his all.

"C'mon, just hold on for one more tackle, Pichu! Then let it out, and we've got it!" Andy encourages Pichu, knowing he's probably growing weaker as well. "Piii..." Pichu stands strong as he watches Aron charge towards him once more, waiting for the incoming impact of Aron's tackle. "You can do it, Pichu!" Andy cheers on her Pokemon.

Aron was successful once again, but knew that the impact from the Bide would be twice as strong, and his harden stat move had long since faded away. He stood firm on the ground about fifteen feet away from the Pichu, waiting for it to strike. As soon as the Pichu would get close, his plan was to quickly jump to the side. Though he didn't know if he could be quick enough, he was still going to try.

"Alright, Pichu! Unleash that energy!" "Chuuuu!!!" Pichu charges with all his might plus the energy from Aron's two tackles, the little mouse Pokemon practically a yellow blur as it speeds towards Aron at full speed, ready to end this little bout here and now, win or lose. "Go, Pichu! You can do it!" Andy continues to cheer on her Pokemon, knowing that this would be the end of the fight if the attack hit.

Aron braced himself for the coming attack, and as soon as the Pichu was about one foot away, the wild Pokemon jumped to the right to avoid the attack. Though he was normally quick and was good in other battles, he had been worn down quite a bit from this one, and he was unable to escape the attack.
Ron! The Aron was hit hard in his side, and fell to the ground, whimpering in pain. He tried to get up, but he couldn't manage the now tedious task. Letting his head fall back down, his eyesight was no longer available to him, for he had blacked out before fainting due to the severe pain of the Bide. The Aron lay still on the ground, unconscious and out of tune to the world, for he had finally fainted.
Pichu gains a level!

"Woohoo! We did it Pichu!" Andy cheers, happily jumping up and down before running to her injured Pokemon. "Cha..." Pichu smiles at Andy proudly. "Hehe, good work!" She giggles as she picks Pichu up and gives him a big hug. Holding Pichu in her arms, she looks down at the injured Aron at her feet and can't help but feel sorry for the little guy... She kneels down and touches him gently on the head. "Are you okay?" Andy asks it kindly, rubbing his head a little to wake him up.

The Aron felt something on his head, but he wasn't sure if it was real. He tried to open his eyes, but he couldn't. He thought he heard a voice, and it sounded like the trainer's voice, but he was too incoherent to respond or make it out.
After a minute or so, he started to come around. He squinted his eyes open, but his vision was still blurred. When he could see a bit better, he looked up and saw the trainer's face - she was staring down at him. He tried to jump up and battle again, but his legs didn't budge. It was hopeless for him to try any longer. He was defeated, and he accepted his fate without more fight.
