Dasy jumped in surprise at the Rattata's sudden attack and unattack. She blinked and spun around. Bring it? She smiled and growled, digging into the dirt with her sharp claws. Jay noticed this and smiled. "Dasy, Rapid Spin again!" She called. Dasy smiled and dug her calws deeper. She was going to win this battle. She took a step forwards and jumped into a Rapid Spin. She wouldn't let this rat win her.

Grinning a cocky smile at Dasy upon seeing the Sandshrew's own smile, it waited eagerly for the next attack. Already it had the confidence that its fighting ability could defeat the ground type with ease, and haughtily puffed its chest out.
Another Rapid Spin, except this one seemed to be heading after the Rattata. That was fine, it would be able to make another succesful dodge, like before. Not needing another Focus Energy, or the speed of a Quick Attack, it went to a sharp jump to the right. However, something was off about it. Balance wise, from the previous Rapid Spin. Instead, the Rattata ended up rolling onto its side before making a small gasp before the attack made contact.
After that attack, the Rattata felt bruised up and plenty of scatches covered its body. Letting out a small sigh, it wearily got off from the ground. Its pride was till as strong as ever, and plenty eager to send off double the pain. Too busy taking in deep breaths to say much of anything by now, it simply ran ahead with a Pursuit.

Dasy again, wasn't ready for this. She cried as the Pursuit hit her. She looked in great pain, then she recovered herself. Looks like that Rattata found a weak spot in Dasy's thick armor. She staggered for a second, then blinked and looked up at Jay. "Oh dear, um." Jay couldn't think of what to do. "Dasy, try and Sand-Attack." She muttered with almost no hope. Dasy blinked, Sand-Attack? Whatever. She backed away from the Rattata, then ran at the rat pokemon, faking that she was going to scratch again, then stopped when she was close to it, and kicked up a wave of thick sand. Maybe she could make it dificult for the normal type to see.
(another pun, gosh. I'm just full of them.)

((I can't find the pun. o-o'
Sand-Attack/Quick Attack? I don't know. ))
Thinking that the Sandshrew was going to use a Scratch attack, the Rattata reacted moments before Dasy by trying to dodge by jumping to the right. Feeling safe from those claws, it was just about to make another Tackle attack when the wave of sand lightly covered its body. Most of it getting in its eyes and mouth, and with a pained expression the Rattata began to furiously paw at its eyes to try and get the grains of sand out. Also having a disgusting taste of sand in its mouth was bound to last all day.
Forcing its eyes open when some of the sand escaped from its eyes, the rat Pokemon's normally keen eyes were red and puffy. Not the best face to see in the world. With weakened vision, it was bound to be more careless in its attacks, and the Rattata knew it. Deciding that speed was the answer, the Rattata ran ahead to try and Quick Attack Dasy, but instead missed its target by inches and ended up tripping on the flat ground.

(Looks like that Rattata found a weak spot in Dasy's thick armor. Her armored back, and her personality? *shrugs*)
Jay watched nerviously as the battle continued. Dasy wasn't ready for the quick attack, and that was good, because when the Rattata fell on it's face, Dasy jumped back. She looked up at Jay, who shrugged. "Um, Poison Sting," She frowned. Dasy shrugged, the Rattata was close enough and she attacked quickly. Ok, just attack, Dasy didn't like Poison Sting, but it was one of her better attacks.

Caught in a vulnerable position on the ground, its back was straight up in the air just ready to be attacked. The multiple poisonous stingers were launched out and stuck to the Rattata like darts. The strong and potent stingers released their poison at once, causing a deep shudder to run down the Rattata's spine, and soon felt its body go numb.
Parts of it, at least. The poison didn't spread very fast compared to other poison attacks. The tips of its feet seemed to be nonexistent to the Rattata as pain coursed through the rest of its body, and a weary look crossed its eyes. Appearing as if it was going to attack, until it fell limp to the ground.
Dasy has defeated the Rattata and gains a level. Capture?
<You did it!> The Lotad exclaimed with excitment, squirming about in Jay's arms to try and escape from her grip. How she wanted a better look at the Rattata, mostly because she was concerned about the poison. Even though the Rattata attacked her first, she couldn't help but worry.

Jay let go of the Lotad and walked over to Dasy. "Great job girl," She gave the Sandshrew a hug before calling her back. "You were wonderful," That was the first time Dasy had ever won a battle. Jay knelt down by the Rattata, she didn't want to capture it, so she took the stingers out and threw them away. "Well, that was exciting." She smiled weakly. "Are you alright?" Jay looked at the Lotad.

The Lotad was already looking at the Rattata's wounds, and winced a bit at the sight of the remains of the Poison Sting. It seemed as if the Rattata would be alright after a quick nap, since they were very adaptable Pokemon.
Giving a smile over to Jay, she had just remembered about the tackle she had earlier. Her body didn't feel like it was in pain, in fact it felt like she had recovered from the damage to her relief.
<I'm fine, thank goodness. I wonder why he got so mad all of a sudden.> She frowned again, before changing her mood into a cheerful one by jumping next to Jay.
<I'm in your debt for saving me, brave knight.> She giggled again, as if nothing had happened, and that everything was truely alright in the world.

Jay smiled and gave a bow. "But I'm a lady!" She giggled and sat down. "I'm no knight," She shook her head and grinned. "Where were we before that happened?" Jay couldn't remember what they were talking about. She frowned for a second then shrugged. "Oh well," Jay folded her arms and looked up at the sun, it was getting high in the sky, and she would have to get going again. "Oh," She frowned and looked at the Lotad. "I have to start going," She gave a sad smile. "I have to get going, don't want to be out here at night." Her eyes were sad, but she knew she had to start moving again.

The Lotad blinked with an expression that was extremely similar to Jay's, having no idea what they were talking about before the Rattata attack. Whatever the case was, they could just as easily start up another conversation. It had come so naturally before, that she didn't doubt that the two had some kind of connection with each other.
<You have to leave?> The Lotad asked, shocked and surprised that her friend would have to leave. Of course, the chances were that she wouldn't get to see her ever again. Unless by a stroke of luck that she came by this way again. Nah, that was doubtful. Suddenly, the lillypad Pokemon's eyes brightened up and a silly grin popped up on her face. It was then that she went in for another one of her infamous 'Lotad Glomps' on Jay.
<Your not leaving without me! Don't think you can ditch me so easily.> She added, while playing around with several strands of hair.

Jay frowned. "Oh I couldn't take you with me, you might get hurt!" She shook her head, but then again, humans were very selfish and Jay really didn't want to lose this new friend. "But if you are alright with maybe getting hurt, then you can come." She shrugged acting indifferent, but Jay really did want the Lotad to come with her, she could talk to it for hours. "It might be fun, we could talk and sit in the sun." Jay softly tickled the Lotad. "if you're up to it, I'd Love ot have you along!" She giggled at the thought of another friend.

Bursting out into a fit of laughter, the Lotad struggled against Jay's grip as she began to tickle her. On accident, a tiny bubble escaped from the water types lips and burst right in Jay's face. It wouldn't cause anyone any type of harm, but it would certainly be a surprise.
<Sorry!> She let out, between giggles. Still struggling in the fight against those devilish fingers of doom.

Jay stopped tickling and laughed. "Hey!" She was covered in water, lifting her scarf, she rubbed her face and smiled. "I'll get you for that!!" She continued to tickle the lotad. "You'll pay." Her laughter filled the air, ringing above every other sound. She'd never laughed this much. Jay finally stopped and fell over, laughing like none other. Her face hurt from all the giggling.

Grinning that Jay was in the same cheerful mood that she was as before, the Lotad was about to pounce on her again as she was wiping her face when the tickling began again! Her poor belly was yelling at her to get away while her brain was telling her to laugh. It was all in good humor, so she did. Rather painfully, she had to add, but it was awesome. Once Jay was done, the Lotad fell onto the ground with a smile on her face. Exhausted from that tickle war, and was breathing quite heavily as she found it hard to stand after such a work out. <Wow, you trainers play hard. This is what you meant by getting....Hurt?> She said between breaths, a tiny tear trickling down her eyes from laughing so hard. Meanwhile, yet another Pokémon came onto the scene. This one looked especially PO'd, due to the evil glares it sent to the Lotad and the girl. At once, it assumed that the Lotad belonged to the girl and saw it as a target. The easiest one to attack, at least, since harming a human was considered low among the Pokémon race. Some of them, at least. <Dangit! Stop the noise pollution, my ears are bleeding!> The Marill shouted, having endured the two's laughter just enough until its patience had worn to a tiny thread and snapped. Not wasting any time, the Marill charged forward with a Tackle on the Lotad, who was knocked right into Jay since she hadn't expected such a violent attack. <Owww...> She whined, and attempted to stand up but felt rather out of breath from all of the fun and games they had done earlier.

Jay nodded. "We play hard!" Hurt... "Well, sometimes pokemon might attack you, but i'll try my best to protect you, and you'll have to battle sometimes." She told the Lotad. Being startled by the Marill's yelling Jay giggled. "Sorry, We'll stop. Hi I'm," Jay was about to introduce herself when teh Marill launched right into Lotad. "Hey!" Jay grunted when she too got hit as the Lotad slamed back into her. "That's not nice." She frowned, rubbing her stomach. "That hurt." The violent attack had knocked the breath out of her.

<Unfortunately, I don't give a care!> The rude, chubby mouse pokemon screamed as it continued to give Jay and the others a PO expression upon her face. <I can't stand loud laughter!> It shouted getting ready to run into the Lotad once again with a Tackle! Taking about a cruel Marill!

Jay frowned. "Fine, be mean." She gave a smale glare before reaching in her backpack and pulling out a pokeball. "I tred to be kind, but no." She dropped the pokeball, still talking. "I wanted to be kind, I said we'd stop," A Shinx jumped out and saw the Marill tackle the Lotad. +Hey!+ Ele jumped towards the Marill with a Bite attack, she was starting before Jay had stopped talking. When Jay realized this she blinked. "Oh, Good job Ele, Bite is good." She stood up and tried to figure out the next moves.

Seeing that it would be hard to make a bite around the Marill's giant mass of fat, the teeth only made it half way around its body. Feeling annoyed, and grumpy because now it was actually feeling pain, the Marill began to vigorously shake its body to rid itself of the Shinx.
Just in case the Shinx didn't fall off, the Marill began stomping its tail on the ground. Its personal version of a Tail Whip, instead of being cute to lower defense, it would act frightening to lower it. The water type's ears twitched as its anger grew by the second. The dang Shinx better get off soon, or else it would go spazz out a storm.

Ele held on tight, not letting go untill the last second, she was alright with getting hurt. Jay bit her lip. "Ele, let go and Charge, get ready to hurt this pokemon." She was worried about the Lotad. "Come on Lotad, get up, get up." She pleaded. Ele backed away from the Marill and charged her energy, she'd give that water type something to remember her by. Jay gently set her hand on the Lotad's back. "Come on, get up." She gave it a light skae, hoping it wasn't very hurt. She'd promised to protect the Lotad and Jay wasn't going to break that promise.

The Marill took a step back after seeing the frightening display of electrical power that Ele put on. It had temporarily forgotten that it wanted to be the rough and all powerful one, and it shown on its face. Its weakness to Sparks such as this was like a siren in its brain, telling it to dodge, to kill it now, or to run away. Save yourself while you still can! Its inner voice argued, and the Marill was tempted to listen to it, but frowned at this.
There was something it could do, though it was a bit afraid to do it at a time like this. With the next attack growing stronger and stronger by the second, the Marill didn't hesitate in using a protective Defense Curl. Hiding its head and its tail into its oil covered fur, curled up into a small but pudgy ball on the grass.
The Lotad remained half dazed as Jay pleaded, but couldn't find the energy to speak. Her eyes remained open, and her breathing seemed normal, if not quickened by the excitement and confusion. As soon as the girl shook her, the Lotad finally came to her senses, her eyes widening with realization that everything so far was not a dream.
<S-s-s-t-t-t-o-o-o-p-p-p-> She managed to call out, through all of the constant shaking, while trying to inhale as much oxygen as possible.
