Jay smiled and nodded. She understood that, wild pokemon were a little stronger. Giving a sad smile she sighed. "Alright, I guess I should get going." Giving the smallest wave she watched the Krabby jump into the water. The spoon was left and jay was about to call to the Krabby. Bending down she picked up the spoon. Mabye he ment to leave it. She tucked it away and turned from the pond and into the grass. She really did need to get going on her path.

Nearby on the giant bridge, a Wigglytuff was enjoying herself with the scenery around her. The floppy ears upon her head were half bent, not even aware of the human's presence as she peered down into her reflection in the water. With a smile, she bent down to give it a tiny tap, watching the water ripple her image away, before coming back as clear as a mirror. <I must've been a water type in a past life.> She smiled to herself as she said this, always feeling at ease when near the fresh water. The only problem was that she lacked the ability to swim, but there were ways to survive in there. She was the Balloon Pokémon after all, the only thing she had to do was inflate herself and she'd be safe from harm. She gulped at the thought, still, the thought of falling in the deep end was frightening as it was horrifying. It would pretty much be her worst nightmare, drowning. So slow...And painful...Quickly getting up, she took a couple steps away from the edge of the bridge, only to find herself falling off of the edge of the bridge on the other side. <AHHHH! HELP!> She cried as she went to inflate her body. Landing on the surface of the water with a thump, she remained floating on top. Safe from harm, but otherwise she was trapped up there. Her legs and arms couldn't even reach the water, not long enough to paddle herself to shore.

Jay was watching the pokemon as it talked to itself. She started to walk towards the bridge as the pokemon fell in. Jay screamed an dran towards it. "Oh, I'll help you!" She looked around and found a stick. "Wait here," Like it could move. Grabbing the stick she ran back to the water and held the stick out. "Here, grab it!" She called. Jay looked at the stick and found that it was short, too short. Dropping the stick in the water and taking off her backpack she jumped in to grab the pokemon. "Let me help you." Jay told it. "I'm going to grab you and swim back." She swam towards the Wigglytuff. "Take hold of my hand." She pleaded.

Giving a frustrated snort, the Wigglytuff was left bobbing on the surface of the water as she waited for Jay to return. It figures that she would get such a short stick, and like she'd have a choice in waiting!
After a good deal of waiting, the Wigglytuff swore that she was burning so badly from the sun. There was no doubt about it, she was gonna get sun burned. All because of a careless mistake. A splash in the water halted her inside rambling as Jay came into view, and she was more than eager to grab onto her hand. A stubby pink one met the long and fragile ones of the human girl as she waited to be pulled to shore.

Jay took hold fo the pokemon and pulled it out of the water and onto the dry ground. "Are you alright?" She asked it. Jay's worried green eyes were focused on the Wigglytuff. Wondering how it could have fallen into the water, Jay kept her eyes on the pokemon as she walked over to where her backpack was. Pulling it on she quickly darted back to the pokemon. "What happened? How did you fall in?" Jay didn't know if there was something in the water that pulled it in or there was something in the water that it was reaching for.

She didn't even dare to think about deflating her body until she felt the soft muck below her body. Becoming at least 5 pounds thinner, she gave a grateful smile over to Jay. It wasn't every day that you nearly drowned and got rescued by a human. That was usually a Lotads job, because of their raft like heads.
<I didn't breathe in any water. So I'm good. > She giggled with the wave of a paw. As long as Jay was on her knees, or sitting down, she was at least a little taller than the girl. A humorous thought.
"What happened? How did you fall in?" Jay didn't know if there was something in the water that pulled it in or there was something in the water that it was reaching for.
The Wigglytuff's body froze up at those questions. Sure, the girl was sounding caring and everything, but the answer wasn't as dramatic as she was probably assuming. She wasn't sure whether to make up a lie so she would sound half way heroic, or just be plain truthful. Nah, where was the fun in that?
<O-oh! Well, you see...There was this HUGE Gyarados in the water, and it tried to eat me! But I used my Sing attack as soon as it knocked me into the water and...Uh, here I am?> She hoped that the story made sense. Did it? Well, it was a bit too late to go changing things around now.

It was very easy to trick Jay, but she didn't buy this story. "Oh! Well, maybe I should go and Attack that pokemon and teach it not to attack you." She stood up and started to wring her hair out. "And you can show that Gyarados who's the boss."
A faux confused look crossed her face. "But, why didn't it eat you when you were in the water? And I didn't see or feel it while I was in there." She glared. "It ran didn't it, oh that big all mighty pokemon." She looked down at the Wigglytuff. "Let's go and attack it." Now Jay didn't believe a word of the Wigglytuff's story, but why not play along.

The Wigglytuff's eyes widened in surprise when she heard Jay's response, but decided wave it off. Giving the human a look of doubt, she tilted her head to the side to think the matter over.
<You couldn't stand up to a Gyarados! No offense, but I've seen more muscles on a Bellsprout. > She snorted at this, crossing her arms in a tiny pout. Dangit, why couldn't the trainer simply drop the whole thing like a normal person? 'How does she even understand me anyway? Is that normal these days? I know I'm not /that/ far back in the times...'
<Why are you so mad? Seesh, I told you...I used a Sing, duh!> She added in response, glaring right back at Jay. At least some part of her story made sense, if the 'Gyarados' was sleeping at the bottom of the pond, it would explain why she wasn't eaten when left on the pond.
<And no woman! I don't wanna attack the Gyarados! Let sleeping fish lie! Get that through your thick skull!> She shouted angrily, her face turning a bright red as she began to pant. She wasn't necessarily tired physically, more emotional if anything.

Jay had sat down and gave a hurt look. "I too could beat one." She stated, not really believing herself. A shocked look came over her face. "Well, fine, I was just saying." She quickly stood up and almost glared down at the pokemon. With one sweeping movment she walked away and back to the bridge. "By the way, what was the real reason did you fall in the water?" She turned back to the Wigglytuff and asked.

Great...Just great...Now I've gone and hurt her feelings.. The Wigglytuff thought with a disgusted look. Crossing her arms stubbornly as she turned the other way, she didn't want to feel bad for hurting her feelings. Once you did that, then you got attached and before you know it you're on a fighting spree against other Pokémon. It was despicable! Hearing Jay's footsteps walk onto the bridge, the Wigglytuff gave a sigh of relief. Assuming that Jay didn't hear her, and assuming that she was about to leave her for good. She couldn't help but be anxious for the human to just go ahead and carry on her way. "By the way, what was the real reason did you fall in the water?" She turned back to the Wigglytuff and asked. The Wigglytuff froze in place. Now this was getting serious! Man, how embarrassing it would be to just go on and tell the truth. But how long could she hold onto this lie? Right now, it seemed to be the only believable thing around here. <I'm sticking to my story. Like it or not!> She added a small 'hmth' at the end of it as she glared at Jay. Following her onto the bridge without much reason. Something was just telling her to do just that.
Meanwhile, from the depths of the giant pond lurked a sleeping Pokémon. Or at least one that had been asleep. Its slime covered body shook to a jolt as the Wigglytuff's and Jay's voice reached the Pokemon's ears. Its dark black eyes were forced open as their argument continued from above, and already it was suffering from a headache. This madness was about to drive it crazy, to the point of attacking. Heck, it was a free world! What would stop it? With surprising speed for its species, it navigated through the water, only its tiny head popping out as it saw the source of the noise. It knew just the antidote to cool these hot tempers down, and with an annoyed grunt, it shot out a Water Pulse at the two. Except it toned it down a little, not intentionally wanting to hurt the two, but enough to gain their attention.

Jay was even more shocked to see the Wigglytuff following her. "Whatever, i'll find out sooner or later." Not really careing why the pokemon fell into the water. if it was possible to be any more shocked, Jay hit it when the Water Pulse hit her. She stood there shocked for a second. Already wet, it just made her less close to drying off. "Well, I'm sorry." She rubbed the back of her wet sleeve over her face. "Did I disrupt you?" Her face was kind, though still very shocked. She knelt down on the bridge and looked over the edge. "I'm really sorry if I did." Her eyes shone with sincerity.

The Wigglytuff jumped backwards at the Water Pulse, actually thinking that perhaps it had been a Gyarados attacking the two of them. Her fur looked like a giant pink mop, once again, but this time she was more annoyed than before. At least from the last time, only her back got wet, now she was soaked all over.
<Now who would do that?> She stuttered, glancing nervously at Jay, who bravely peered over the edge of the bridge to see their attacker. Gulping, she simply waited behind the girl so the two could 'talk' to each other.
The Shellos was taken aback by the human girls kind eyes, not expecting such a loud voice to come from her. But, there was someone else arguing with her, right? Not that it really cared anymore, because it felt somewhat satisfied with the apology she gave it.
With a cheerful smile, the sea slug began to dive back under the water. Most likely to get back tot hat nap that was so rudely interrupted. Leaving the Wigglytuff to just stare at the girl, surprised that she managed to talk a Pokémon out of attacking them.

She smiled back at the Shellos and stood up. "Good bye, I hope you enjoy your nap or whatever we interrupted." She starte to wring out her shirt and hair again. "What?" She asked looking at the Wigglytuff. Jay shrugged and stretched and continued to walk across the bridge. She still had to continue on her journey and she had to cross the bridge to do this. Jay had a gift she could usually talk a pokemon out of a battle unless they were really mean, she had a way with pokemon, her kind voice was very helpful to sooth a pokemon if they were upset. it was rare that she got mad, even when she was fighting with the Wigglytuff she wasn't really mad, just worried.

"What?" She asked looking at the Wigglytuff.
The Wigglytuff rolled her eyes as she continued to follow Jay. For no particular reason, other then curiosity. She was still pretty amazed at how she was able to calm down the Shellos, so quickly too. Mostly to see if the miracle would happen again, but not without walking as quietly as she could. With her balloon like body, it wasn't much of an issue.
While the two travelled on the bridge, a new Pokémon had arrived on the scene. Utterly mad with rage, its webbed feet ran against the the bridge as it charged fearlessly at Jay. Its normally blank stare was turned a glowing blue, and its normal headache had become dangerously amplified.
<AGH! IT HURTS!> He cried out as his two wings were clutched to his head. Instinctively, he assumed that someone was attacking him to cause him that pain. And the first person he saw? Jay, and right behind her was a suspicious looking Wigglytuff.

Reaching for a pokeball, Jay was ready t battle if the water type wouldn't calm down. But she became alarmed as the duck pokemon cried in pain. "What?" She turned towards the Wigglytuff and glared. "Are you doing that?" She asked. Jay could see that the Psyduck wanted to fight, and if she couldn't talk him out of it, she would battle him. "What did you do to him? He hasn't attacked us yet." She sighed. "And I can fight my own battles." She dropped the pokeball and a Ekans slithered out. The snake pokemon took one look at the duck and hissed. Jay wouldn't command Sep to attack unless the Psyduck attacked her.

The Wigglytuff made a gasp as Jay accused her of doing yet another unthinkable thing. Okay, so maybe she did lie that time earlier, but she didn't have to know about that. Puffing up her large body, it took every last bit of self control from going over there and slapping some sense into Jay.
<I. did. nothing.> She wheezed out, before suddenly plopping herself to the ground on the wooden deck. Just waiting to see if she would actually battle the headache powered Psyduck. Well, if not Jay, then that Ekans would try and do something about it.
The Psyduck began holding his head even tighter, not even seeing the snake until his head pulsed in pain. Forcing him to look around in a rage, there was so much psychic energy stored up inside of him, and yet he had no idea on how to release that energy! It wasn't as if he knew any psychic attacks or anything.
Knowing that he had to do something, but not having an idea on what to do, he did the first thing that came to mind. In this case, it was shooting out a blast of Water Gun at Sep. Even as a gentle mist of the attack fell against his hothead, it did nothing. No relief at all.

Jay sighed. "Ok, sorry," She looked at the Psyduck. "Are you alright?" She asked it. "What's wrong?" The Ekans at Jay's feet shifted and wove between her legs, waiting for a battle. She didn't get a chance ot say any more, just then the Psyduck shot out a Water Gun attack at Sep. The snake hissed and slithered behind Jay. Spipping at the Psyduck. She darted forewards and opened her large mouth and hissed again. +Oh, try that again and I'll eat you.+ She snapped at the water pokemon. +That or strangle you to death.+ Sep had a temper and it sometimes ran away from her and went wild. She couldn't help it, just sometimes it happened.

Receiving a warning bite on the side, the Psyduck remained oblivious to all words, only the pain within its head was its main concern. Nothing else mattered, not even his own safety when it came to these awful headaches.
Letting out a cry that only a mad duck could let out, his eyes hardened as he saw the Ekans as his enemy. The reason for all of this stress, and the reason he was in distress. With his webbed claws extended, it boldly charged forward with a Scratch attack.
He wasn't even sure what good this would do, but the feeling of working himself physically to the limit felt like a good idea. Even if the reason for all of this was just a simple mental build up, if he wore himself out by battling, just maybe, the energy would be released.

Jay was afraid for both the Psyduck and her pokemon. "Oh Sep, looks like a battle. Ok, Wrap." Jay nodded. "Yes, Wrap." She hated to battle, but she could see this pokemon wasn't going to back down. Sep hissed and slithered to the side, getting clipped by the webbed claw of the Psyduck. +Maybe if I squeeze you enough, you'll pop.+ She snarled at the duck.
"Sep, kind words, or not so mean." Jay hated it when some of her pokemon insulted, or made rude coments to, other pokemon. It drove her crazy, but she couldn't help it if the coments left their mouths. Ignoring Jay, Sep just focused on attacking with Wrap. She paused for a second and lunged at the Psyduck.

The Psyduck felt his claws brush against the Ekans, perhaps even more than once, and was encouraged to keep going into a Scratching fury. Taking deep breaths of air as he left his arm hanging in the air, just noticing that the Ekans was on the side of him.
Pausing as Sep did, hie didn't expect the snake to go into a split second Wrap attack. His reflexes weren't that good. The Ekans's hard scales pressed against him as she squeezed around his fat belly. He was having even more trouble handling the wrap attack now that his arms were considered useless. Straining his beak in random directions, water building up inside him as he picked an interesting angle.
Shooting a Water Gun right at the ground, just missing Sep's body as the water began to push the two high up into the air. As long as he kept the constant flow of water, then the two would remain high up.
The Wigglytuff almost forgot that she even existed, and slowly approached Jay with awe. Never had she seen such exciting Pokemon battles, most of the time they weren't evenly matched. Still, she was beginning to feel ashamed of her actions from earlier, but just felt too shy to think about apologizing. That wasn't what strong Pokemon did.
