Nick treded down the grassy path of Route 3. With the many trees surrounding the area the light breaking through was radiant, but scarce. However, it didn't really affect Nick's vision to see what was ahead. Route 3...I wonder what I'll see here. He thought to himself unsuspecting of what would happen or pop out. Nick wasn't afraid though, for he had a strong trusting team or Pokemon and was apart of something which takes and raises the best...so he thought.

A horrid smell exploded into the air before you, apparently you had just stepped on a weird ugly flower, woke it up, and pissed it off.

Nick pulled out his PokeDex and scanned the Pokemon before him. "Gloom...a Poison Type Pokemon. Interesting." He said after silently reading its Dex Info. "Okay, this shall be a good battle." He stated reaching into his pocket for a PokeBall. Once his hand felt the ball in which he was searching for he whipped his hand out and straightened his arm forward. "Kyokudo lets go!" He exclaimed throwing the ball out and releasing his Shiny Gible.
Kyokudo growled and narrowed his eyes focusing on the Pokemon before him. "It's time to battle Kyokudo. Use Sand Tomb!!" Kyokudo growled once more and below the Gloom the ground began to turn into sand, attempting to grab and trap the Gloom.

After the boy had accidentally stepped upon the Gloom, it had become somewhat dazed, which led to it slightly stumbling with its movements as it tried to hold a strong, non-intimidated position as it saw the stout dragon-like Pokemon was being released. Couldn't a Pokemon get some decent rest around these parts without other pesky inhabitants or passer-byers mucking it up?
Its thick pale purple lips curled into a displeased scowl at the reptile as it saw he was challenging it, but wasn't prepared as the ground that was positioned below it to swirl into a trap of dry, though almost liquid-like sand. Scared cries echoed from the grass / poison-type as it crept deeper into the sand, but managed to let a large glob of sizzling purple Acid harshly spout from the flower-like formation atop its head toward Kyokudo; hopefully lowering his defense enough to buy the Gloom some time.

Nick smirked at the incoming Acid attack. Okay, Gloom is successfully trapped in the Sand Tomb. So, this'll give me a little time to prepare Kyokudo's Dragon Rage. "Kyokudo lets wrap this battle up quickly. Use Sand Attack at the incoming Acid!" Nick ordered.
Kyokudo nodded and took a step backwards. Gible were short, stout, yet powerful creatures. With his little legs he rapidly kicked sand at the potent Acid attack. The Sand Attack did what was required and deflected the Acid. When the little mixture of purple, and brown hit the grassy grounds of the Route, bubbles formed and popped along with some acidic steam brewing. Nick had a look of disgust on his face at the mess, but continued to stay focus.
"Now use Dragon Rage on the Gloom!" Kyokudo opened its mouth wide pointing directly at the trapped Gloom. Nick had a blank look across his face. The aggressive and nonchalant batle style he was using wasn't necissarily his style, but as a trainer and a member of Team Death this is what has to be. Kyokudo finally finished preparing the Dragon Rage and a bright light shined from his mouth. He then fired the powerful blast Gloom's way.

Dragon rage enveloped the Gloom's sturdy body, teal flames scorching it from all sides. The power of dragons were nothing to laugh it, Gloom thought miserably. It felt energy leaving it's body at a rapid rate, almost too rapid for it to recover from.
Taking in a deep breath, it launched another sticky glob of acid at it's foe. Hopefully, this time it'd connect.

Nick shrugged, saddened by the Gloom's endless effort. This Gloom is very will, I give it that, but it's time to end this. "Kyokudo use Sandstorm!!" The Forest of Magic was definitely about to be in for a change. Winds began to pick up and from Kyokudo came a tornado of sand spiraling Gloom's way. The Acid his the tornado and splattered every which way and even hit Kyokudo giving him a quick, sting of pain. At this point, that was an inadequate amount of damaged compared to what Gloom would recieve if Sandstorm hit.
OOC: I used Sandstorm as they would in the anime, if you want me to change the format I will.

ooc - Eh I don't really watch the anime. I'm going to go by the games.
Blinded by the flurry of sand on all sides, Gloom anxious peered around, squinting it's eyes to try to locate it's foe. When that proved fruitless, it randomly aimed an acid attack into the blinding sand, and hoped for the best.
With every moment that passed, it felt energy leaving it's body. It gritted it's teeth. Damn, hopefully it would win soon.

Great. It's puzzeled doesn't know where to attack or where to go. Kyokudo is able to see through this attack however, so once again I'm at another advantage. Nick's strategic breakdown of the battle was seemingly paying off at the moment. All he would have to do is play his cards right and soon Gloom would be his.
"Kyokudo go in and use Take Down!" Nick commanded. The little Gible ran into the sandstorm himself and charged foward at a dangerous speed preparing to ram straight into the Gloom.

Luckily, Gloom heard the dragon coming. Deftly it dodged to the side, letting out a sigh of relief as Gible rushed passed it harmlessly. What a close one.
Sandstorm ripping at it's sides, it was too tired to launch another attack.

Kyokudo had taken a bit of damage from the reckless charge. He was not within the sandstorm as his foe Gloom as well. Kyokudo was quite exhausted from the run, but still able to see the Gloom.
What to do now? Kyokudo's in there, by himself, without me as his eyes. Kyokudo is a smart, tactical Pokemon himself he can handle this. Nick trusted his little Dragon Type Pokemon and believed in his judgement. Kyokudo caught his breathe and narrowed his eyes targeting Gloom. He awaited orders from Nick, but didn't get any so he stood awaiting his trainer order.

Using the pause in action to it's advantage, Gloom looked around for it's foe. It shook it's petals rapidly, freeing some of it's stored pollen. A shimmering yellow powder mixed with the sandstorm. Stun spore surely wouldn't effect Gloom itself, since it was it's own pollen, but maybe it would hit Gible.

Gible stood still as he caught his breathe. He saw the Gloom doing or preparing something, but he couldn't make out exactly what was going on. Kyokudo then opened his mouth and prepared to fire a Dragon Rage. The energy particles gathered and stockpiled in his mouth. However, Kyokudo began to smell and feel funny. He could smell a stinging, yet appealing scent. He continued to charge the Dragon Rage, but before he could finish the spore caused him to release it a little early. The beam traveled toward Gloom, but not at the same power as the other. Kyokudo couldn't react becasue he was now...paralyzed.

Toppling over backwards, Gloom struggled to move. With it's last breath, it cursed the trainer and Gible, before falling completely unconscious.
Gloom has fainted! Gible has gained 1 level for it's efforts! To attempt a capture, toss a pokeball. Or move on.

Nick sighed as the sandstorm subsided and saw Kyokudo, now Paralyzed and the Gloom fainted. Hmm...should I capture this Gloom? It was easily defeated no doubt, but I do sense potential and it does have the will of a Champion. Nick continued to think whether he would capture the poisonous Pokemon or not. As he thought he shuffled through his backpack looking for an item. He then walked over to Kyokudo and sprayed a yellowish spray. Kyokudo then blinked and was now mobile.
Nick then returned his Kyokudo to his respective PokeBall. As he placed the ball in his pocket he brought his hand out slowly, and in it was a minimized PokeBall. He then tossed the ball and hoped to capture the Gloom.

With a flicker of red light, Gloom was vacuumed inside. The halves of the pokeball snapped shut, sealing the pokemon within forever. It only rolled twice, before coming to a halt in the grass.
Gloom was captured! ::gloom:: Level: 22 Gender: You decide Nickname: You decide Attacks: Stun Spore, Acid, Absorb, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Sweet Scent

Nick picked up the ball of the newly obtained Gloom. You shall be...Muneisei a name which has a lot of meaning behind it. Nick grasped the ball and then it was enveloped in a blue light warped to his PC. Nick then continued down the mystical route.

A sudden whirlwind ripped through the area, tearing off branches of trees and overturning stones. There was a loud, thunderous roar, and a pair of eyes narrowed at the advancing trainer.

Nick stood in place shocked from the occuring events. As the branches broke and rocks turned Nick was a little shook. He quickly pulled out a PokeBall and released his most trusted Pokemon, his first, Pow! The Light Monferno stood very calm, but a bit alarmed. He surveyed the area and turned to his trainer.
Nick looked at Pow and his head lifted and was staring directly at the two narrowing eyes glaring at him. He could move for he was paralyzed by the glare. Pow turned in the direction his trainer was looking and saw the narrow eyes. He was still mobile, but on his toes. The hairs on the monkey and his trainer's back was definitely up and sharp as needles as they both awaited the Pokemon to reveal itself.

A behemoth of a pokemon staggered out from the cover of the lazy palm trees, making it's presence known. It let out a roar, and flapped it's long, green wings. A flurry of razor-sharp leafs sailed through the air at Monferno, razor leaf always known to deal massive damage.
Tropius was in no mood to mess around.
