With the capture a success Nick would walk over to the PokeBall and pick it up in his hands, a smile of success smacked upon his face. He was proud of Blade as well, it seemed the little Dragon was pushing and trying hard himself. Magby's evolve into Magmar's and then into Magmortars, if I can successfully train this fellow maybe he will evolve into a strong Pokemon like Magmortar. Nick thought as he stared at the newly capture Magby, which was contained inside the PokeBall.
'zing'
A small, metallic spark was heard and from no where a blue light enveloped the PokeBall and sucked it away. It seemed Nick's party was full, seeing he only had a six Pokemon team capacity. Unfortunately the Magby would have to wait another day for some good training and an increase in strenght.

Nick wasn't the only one trying to get in some good training, as a unique mix of scents began to travel in his direction. Apparently it was a mix of Aromatherapy, a sweet smelling scent that could relax a human instantly, and a Sleep Powder. A scentless powder that could only be noticed by its visible color, a dark green. Luckily for him and any Pokemon around, the dose was small since it was so far away. And if anything was hit by it, the Aromatherapy would be sure to cure it. "No! No! No! You don't want to cure your opponents too!" A frustrated voice rang out through the thick forest, a place with no direct path, and no easy way out of here. It was definitely a good place to train, for both trainer and Pokemon. And this woman was taking the time to try and train her team out here as well. The training sounded rough, and it didn't sound very wise to randomly head on over there. One could easily get caught in the dangerous attacks that her Pokemon let out, so it seemed smart to try and have something around to ventilate the Sleep Powder. Head in her direction?

Nick would get a small wiff of the flowing spores as he treaded through the forest. The aroma was sweet and soothing, but there was also a sour smell and distaste to go along with it. Nick could see small amounts of the spores flowing and didn't know, yet, what it was or possibly could be. The young trainer drew a PokeBall from his pocket and threw the ball forward.
"Zero! Flap these spores away please." Nick stated as he saw the flurry of spores increase and still flow his way throughout the forest. The Staravia would quickly begin flapping his wings, speedingly slapping the spores away and blowing the out of their direction. As the spores were leaving Nick soon heard the voice of a woman who seemed fed up.
"Come on." Nick stated as he would run forward in the direction of the voice he heard. Zero would closely follow his trainer, flying slightly above Nick's head.

"Chloro, Phyle, what are wrong with you guys today?" The young lady asked her Pokémon in a firm voice, it was clear that the trainer was still frustrated with her pokemon's choice of attacks. <Bellooo!> Phyle cried in a soft voice as a few tears started to form in her tiny eyes. "Phyle, silence, we don't have time for you crying today!" The female trainer snapped, pointing her finger at the Flower Pokémon. <Vileplume!> Chloro snapped back at his trainer, he wasn't trying to disrespect her, he just wanted to let his trainer know that they were trying really hard work as a team, but her nasty attitude wasn't making it easy on them. "Chloro, do you dare talk back to me?" The young lady asked walking over to her Vileplume with a sour looked on her face, which soon caused to grass type to lower his head in shame. "I didn't think so," she sighed rolling her eyes.
"Come on, let's get back to work now!" She order walking back over to the other side of the field. "Okay, Chloro use Sweet Scent, and Phyle use Sunny Day!" She commanded, watching her Pokémon follow her commanded. Chloro soon released a sweet smelling batch of pink powder from his mushroom shaped head, the powder was used to attach wild Pokémon or either to lower the foes evasion. Right after Chloro's attack, a small orb of light danced around Phyle radiantly, before descending into the air to glow even brighter like the morning sun. The young lady was so into her training that she haven't even noticed Nick and Zero approching them.

It wasn't too hard to tell that the girl was indeed training her Pokémon to get stronger. It seemed she was bettering them as a couple, probably for future Double Battles or maybe Double Performances as a Coordinator. For whatever the reason be Nick was quite interested and would watch with a watchful eye.
The girl had some strong Pokemon, a Vileplume and a Bellosom, both fully evolved forms of Oddish, so this trainer or whatever her occupation be had raised this two much. Still quite weary, Nick shrugged and narrowed his eyes stepping forth towards the girl with a smile.
"Hello. My name is Nick." The warm trainer kindly stated. Zero fluttered behind him and would soon land, perching himself along a lenghty tree branch.

"Hello. My name is Nick." The warm trainer kindly stated. Zero fluttered behind him and would soon land, perching himself along a lengthy tree branch.
Rena felt herself jump up in shock at Nick's friendly voice. How long has he been standing there? He wasn't one of those trainers that jumped out of the bushes trying to get you to battle them, was he? That would've been bad, seeing that he might've known all of the attacks her duo could possibly know if he was there long enough.
"Hi, I'm Rena. Is that your Staravia? " She questioned, motioning her head in Zero's direction. The Pokemon certainly looked a lot cleaner than any of the Wild Pokemon in these parts. That one looked well groomed, and well taken care of.
"So...How much did you see?" She raised an eyebrow at the boy, not even looking at him while she spoke. She couldn't stand to let anyone see their struggling during their training. It made her feel weak as a trainer.
Phyle and Chloro halted in their training, knowing that while Rena was distracted with this new face, they wouldn't be bothered with any battling for a while. She was simply too embarrassed to show off like that when around other people, unless it was in a battle of some kind. Being watched made her nervous, and for some reason, it spread onto these two as well.
Shyly they stood right next to Rena, Phyle on the left and Chloro on the right. Each one looked up at the new trainer with a hesitant curiosity, wondering about his intentions. The Bellossom was the one that first noticed the Staravia up in the tree branches and cringed. She didn't even give a first impression a chance, she simply hated being around flying types. They made her nervous, like they were out to eat her.

"How much did I see." Nick said looking down at the forest floor, taping his foot. "Well, I saw you try to kill me with some sweet stunning spores. Quite bittersweet." Nick said chuckling, his laughter growing by second. He did take it over the top a bit to hint at the fact that he was indeed, kidding.
His laughter came to an abrupt end as he caught himself. "Anywho, to answer your question, that Staravia is indeed mine. His name is Zero and I am out here training with all my Pokemon." Nick said with a warm smile. Staravia nodded while perched on the branch and his eyes would roam the forest only to lock onto the Bellosom. His stare was deep and he would scan the little Flower Pokemon.
"So, Rena. I take it you are a trainer yourself. I saw your moves and they were quite good. They need a little touch up and work, but you seem to make an awesome battler when it comes to shutting an opponent down with Status Effects. Wouldn't you say so yourself?" Nick asked jokingly.

Rena shifted her weight from foot to foot uncomfortabley. She really didn't like being put on the spot, she just wanted to train her Pokémon in peace. "Uhm, yeah." She started. "I am a trainer. I thought that would be obvious..." She gestured towards her Pokémon. "Now if you'll excuse me, i'd like to train." She said coldly, turning her back on Nick.

Nick was feeling quite ackward and a little retarded seeing she had turned his back on him so quickly and with an interesting remark. Did he mess up or do something wrong? He had to pursue he now knew she was indeed a Pokemon Trainer and this would be the perfect time to question about a possible battle. He needed all the training he could garner before heading to the next Gym.
"Hi. Rena. I'm sorry, I just thought your elegantly combined attacks could have been for a Coordinator. However, now that you tell me you are a trainer, would you care for a battle?" Nick curiously asked. He took a small step back not quite understanding to woman yet, so he didn't know if she would explode and reply with a sweet acceptance.

Rena couldn't help but roll her eyes in the back of her head, from the way this guy sounded he was a regular Casanova. A good one at that, because what else could make her day besides a Pokemon battle with an actual trainer? Her Pokemon would still gain a level, regardless on whether they won or lost.
"Fine. But lets make it a double battle so I can practice for the next Pokemon Gym." She added, taking a couple of steps back with her Bellossom and Vileplume up front. The two were a little nervous, but excited. They were well trained Pokemon, and could easily think freely in a trainer battle.

"Great!" Nick exclaimed a joyful expression on his face as Rena agreed for the battle being set up. I could end this rather effortlessly with Pow, Blade, or even Rumby. However, I need to become a better trainer, so I'll do something new. Nick shuffled through his pocket and would reveal a PokeBall. He took a step back and nodded ready to start the battle.
"Zipper!" He said releasing his Zangoose. The Zangoose stil beared white fur, but its red stripe was replaced with a one of blue color. Nick smiled for both his opponents were out, his Zangoose and Staravia. Staravia's eyes locked on its opponents, shifting back and forward between the two. Zipper's eyes would narrow and an intense fire for battle could be seen, ablaze, in the fiery Zangoose eyes. They were both ready and this battle would be great for the both of them.
"Alright, being a gentleman. You may have the first move Rena." Nick said with a slight bow and a smile.

The trainer glanced at both Pokemon carefully, still a little bit edgy about the Staravia being on the field, but she was a good trainer. She could handle a flying Pokemon if she used the right techniques. What better way to start than by making them look like lovestruck fools?
"Thanks, but letting me attack is the worst thing you could do." Rena began, rapidly thinking through move combinations in a speedy blur before choosing to rely on past experiences. When her Pokemon were still Gloom, she had a battle with a group of Spearow. They were outnumbered, but they had the level advantage. Seeing the Staravia brought back memories of her Route 1 days, they really had come a long way.
"Phyle, use Sweet Scent." She began, using a sweeter and more feminine sounding voice. She wanted that bird caught off guard before she used her next technique on the duo. Watching her Bellossom begin to twirl around, the two red flowers upon her head releasing a dreamy sweet scent. One could smell it for hours, and be completely satisfied. That is, until it would wear off. But the effect would hopefully remain until Chloro could make his move.
"Now Poison Powder that Staravia!" Rena called, still not knowing when Nick's team would go into action. All she knew was that the sooner she poisoned her biggest threats, the safer she would be in the long run. The Vileplume gave a bob of his head, grinning over at Phyle before shooting out a fluffy cloud of purple spores at Nick's team. It was more directed at the Staravia, but there was nothing to protect Nick and Zangoose from the side effects.

This is my second double battle, it doesn't look like it will be two easy. Especially with two Pokemon that can shut my team down with status effects. Nick thought as he saw Bellossom release her Sweet Scent. The smell was wonderful and definitely soothing towards Nick, Zero, and Zipper. All were quite pleased, well with the exception of Zipper. The Zangoose was a hardy creature, very stern and focused.
"Alright, I have an idea! Zero! Zipper! User Quick Attack on Vileplume!" Nick ordered his two Pokemon. Apparently, he was going for a double attack singling one Pokemon out, unfortunately, the Pokemon was Vileplume.
Zipper would get on all fours and run forward, behind him a swift white light, which collected winds from his speedy movement. The perched Staravia would zip through the spores released by the Pokemon as well, his wings spread and Staravia flying slightly above Zipper. Their speed would attract winds which would blow the spores away rendering them uneffected, at least from the Poison Powder.

Chloro had been feeling confident through the cloud of poison powders, thinking of it as a tough and dangerous shield. One breath of these toxic spores could easily Poison another Pokemon, so it wasn't like you could just walk through it. His high confidence in the tactic was soon shattered by the double Quick Attack, both Pokemon turning into blurs. only the bright white line behind the two of them were traceable before falling prey to both attacks.
Luckily, he was a big guy and could easily take a hit or two. Getting shoved back violently with a short and abrupt grunt. Phyle was looking at her partner with concern, and began to dance around in agitation. She wouldn't attack unless Rena commanded her too, and she would stay loyal to her trainers strategic commands.
"Okay Phyle, time to help us out with Sunny Day." Rena started, knowing that not all of Nick's attacks were that fast. It wouldn't be a good idea to rely on the same attack over and over again, since that was where they could catch them off guard.
"This time use Acid on the ground, Phyle. Chloro, get ready with Stun Spore." She commanded, suddenly changing her plans around with a different status effect. This time she was mimicking something she saw on a TV show once, though she had her doubts if it would work. It all depended on whether Nick knew what she was doing or not.
The Bellossom gave a swift nod, her Chlorophyll ability kicking in as well as Chloro's. With the energy boost from the sun, their reaction time and speed was heightened, maybe even doubled. Within seconds, she was spitting out horrible and slippery liquids on the ground surrounding them. Almost like how the Poison Powder was defensive, this would have to do the same thing for them while Chloro shot out a wave of Stun Spore at their two opponents. If they couldn't poison them, lowering their speed as much as possible would work just as well.

Nick quickly noted the teamwork of the two Pokemon, first noticing the sun intensity. He knew this would not be good, especially when facing two Grass-types. Soon, Acid from the Bellossom began to lace the ground. The purple, acid gunk spreading. Zero was safe, but Zangoose on the other hand wasn't.
She's trying to cut my team's mobility and disable them with poison and paralyzation. That's not a dirty tactic, but sheesh is it hard to manuever and battle with such effects and strategy. "Zero! User Wing Attack on the Vileplume!" Nick ordered sending his Staravia off to attack. Soon the young boy would notice the surrounding as the acid spread and the spores were released. Staravia shifted through, soon the wind gathered with his quick speed blowing some of the spores away, but indeed, the Staravia did get a dose, would it be enough to paralyze.
"Zan. Zan." Zipper stated as the acid neared his footing, the battle still raged and Nick had to come up with some plan soon. "Zipper climb a tree and then use Iron Tail on the Vileplume!!" Nick exclaimed, his thought process coming to an end and his answer to the battle finally coming. Now Vileplume would have another barrage of attacks. Also the setup was quite genius, although done as a fluke. With Zero coming in first and fast, if the Vileplume took the hit, it would surely be knocked off balanced or taken at a little surprise, which would be the perfect set up when Zipper comes down with an Iron Tail. Or, if the Vileplume dodged, during dodge Zipper would be there coming down with Iron Tail making it harder for it to dodge.

"Zipper climb a tree and then use Iron Tail on the Vileplume!!" Nick exclaimed,
Rena gasped at this, he was using their surroundings to battle? This was a news flash to her, watching as the Zangoose shot out from the tree like a missile, not only giving Zero backup, but they were trying to take out Chloro instead of focusing on both Pokemon. This was both good and bad for her, because it meant that Phyle was free to do whatever she wanted without harm. On the downside, it meant that Nick wanted to pick off her Pokemon one by one. And if she was left with one Pokemon against two, then that would definitely be her downfall.
She looked up at the sky at this, the thoughts of the suns power leaking into her mind before giving a sly glance at Nick. Might as well annoy the hell out of him for as long as possible, knowing that she had to keep her Vileplume in the game for as long as possible.
"Dodge what you can, Chloro!" Rena shouted, a tinge of guilt filling herself as she wished she taught them some better defensive moves. Though s he was a little surprised when Chloro easily dodged the Wing Attack by jumping into the air, his heavy body and gravity helping pull himself down to the ground. Only to get hit by a fairly strong Iron Tail, but this was their chance.
"Use Mega Drain on Zangoose. Phyle, help him out with Sweet Scent." She gave a small smile over to her Bellossom, knowing that she was simply ready to help out in any way possible. Chloro sent out a bunch of parasitic orbs of green light at Zipper, knowing that since they were still at close range that the attack would have an extra 'oomph' to it. Phyle was busy decorating the field with her dazzling Sweet Scent, ones that would reach both Zero and Zipper if Nick didn't do something.

Nick smiled with the progression of the battle, with a successful Iron Tail he had made the first move and the battle would greatly progress from here. Zangoose was enticed by the wonderful scent only to be disgruntled by the sapping Mega Drain, however, it seemed Rena was actually borrowing some of his tactics in a plan to pick off Zangoose.
"Nice, but it's not going to be that easy. Right Zero! Spiral into a Wing Attack!!" Nick ordered and the zooming Staravia would quickly reverse in direction his feet pounding a tree propelling him rapidly towards Chloro. The Starling Pokemon would dash forward, but soon would garner a little rotation and soon would be twirling and spiralling. In the spiral, his wings could be seen glowing and lighting and his attack triggered.
The twirling Staravia resembeled a glowing spinning top as he made his way towards Chloro, slapping away the scent in his surrounding area. Zangoose was still loosing HP, but hopefully with the incoming attack he could get a little space to attack himself and help his teammate.

Rena was feeling like she was enjoying this battle more and more, even if she was a little over the edge from the type disadvantage. Sure, if she were battling a fire type then it would’ve been over pretty quickly. This was the first time that she saw a flying type blow all of her attacks away just by flying through the air, both simple and subtle. She chuckled at how smoothly things were going for Nick, at least it was the illusion that he created with his calm voice and cool confidence.
’At least we have that Zangoose pinned down for awhile. Chloro is looking better and better the longer that Mega Drain lasts, and I doubt that Nick has any healing moves with him. I’m sure that with persistence, this battle will be mine. It always is.’ She thought with a smug look on her face, just watching as her Vileplume was forced out of his Mega Drain attack and back onto the ground. She would’ve asked him to dodge, but that would’ve meant less damage against the Zangoose. It was only for the long term effects of the battle, and besides, he healed himself quite a bit.
“Both of you, use your Acid on Zangoose.” She ordered, not quite sure about the results of this one. Though at the time, all she could think about was a sopping wet Zangoose struggling to move with his entire fur coat wet, like a walking mop. Chloro was a bit dizzy, but with the sun as a constant jump start, he was back on his feet to shoot out a slimly blast of poisonous acid. Though it didn't actually cause poisoning, it was said to lower ones defense. Not that he knew the technical stuff about attacking, but it had to be good.

Nick understood that Zangoose was weakening and he was probably at only 1/2 his full health. Taking a double Acid would be dangerous and he would only be barely hanging if he survived. However, this was a double battle and his Staravia had only taken minimum damage so far. Nick understood such and had a risky manuever prepared, hopefully he could pull it off successfully.
"Zero! Retrieve Zipper." The Staravia nodded and sped in flight speeding towards the Acid attack. Picking up the Zangoose would protect Zipper from the acidic attacks, but Zero could not say the same, taking both attacks directly. The little Starling also was inflicted with poison as he took the attacks.
"Okay Rena! I am tired of Chloro, she has to go now!" Nick joyously exclaimed as his Pokemon were now both damaged and battered during battle. It was crunch time and the battle was heating up. "Zero fly high and drop Zipper over Chloro. Zipper use Iron Tail on Vileplume and Zero swoop down and use Endeavor!" Chloro had sapped health from Zipper and definitely had more strenght than Zero, so the Endeavor would be increased in effectiveness due to such.
"Finish her!" Nick exclaimed as his Pokemon swooped in over the Vileplume. Zangoose was dropped and would twirl rapidly in a spherical form, and his white tail would shine with a metal texture. Zero swooped low and prepared to impale the Vileplume.
