It was a dark night; peaceful and cool as the trees swayed back and forth under the sweet breeze. The rain had ended, and only traces of it remained as the dew in the grass, making the area sparkle like little crystals under the moonlight. Seamus didn’t particularly care for the beauty of the place, but instead, he cared for the things inside of it. He was walking quickly through the Route with a notepad in his hand, taking careful details about the native plant life. A particular bush caught his interest, and as he leaned over to examine it with a magnifying glass, he smiled. Why, it appeared to be an Oran Berry Bush. He could tell from the purplish hues on the leaves. Only trouble was that none of the berries on it were ripe. At all. It was a shame, but it meant that there had to be other biological beings around here to eat from this food source. With a happy squeal he ran over to some more bushes and trees, somehow managing to carry everything in his two hands as he ran on over to some other silly plant.
<Sir…I don’t think this is what I’ve trained for.> A tiny whimper mumbled out from behind him, struggling to carry Seamus’s suitcase with his petite, squirming legs. He was especially tiny, since he was nothing but a pathetic little worm that no one really cared about. But alas, he was his first Pokemon, and he had to treat it equally with the rest. A Beldum was helping the Weedle out with its pointed claws in its behind, struggling to aid the Weedle in any way it could.
”Come, Chromate, Titanium…we must hurry onward in search of the rare Pesygoluptius Photosynthis Plant!” He cried, feeling as energetic as a little boy as he sped way far ahead of his struggling Pokemon. His Pokemon sighed in defeat as he kept up with the older man and his quirky ways.

There was a group of Pokémon nearby, celebrating a birthday of some sorts. Suddenly, a loud hiss was heard, scaring the Pokémon away. A terrible wailing could be heard, drowned by the hissing. A buizel ran out, and saw the trainer. He ran to his Pokémon and spoke in a frightend voice. <Help me! My Natu friend was having a birthday party when this Ekans came and chased them away, He's trying to get Natu! Please help me and my friends, and Natu too!>He squeaked, tears were starting to come out of his big black eyes. Suddenly, two Pokémon tussled out onto the path, The Natu the buizel was talking about, and a Ekans. Natu was losing the fight, as tufts of feathers and fur came off of the Natu's body. There was also some blood, mostly lining his attacker's mouth. Wild Buizel is asking for help! Will you help the Buizel? ::buizel:: ::natu:: ::ekans::

<Sorry, but no bird’s ever helped me. No way.> The Weedle grunted as he struggled to keep a hold of Seamus’s suitcase, not particularly caring for the Buizel’s sob story. Titanium floated on over curiously to the Buizel, but remained silent. If its ally wasn’t going to aid the Buizel, then it wasn’t going to do anything. It simply wasn’t any of his business, even if he was asked to help. The duo of Pokémon kept on struggling along with the suitcase regardless of the Buizel’s pleas, when suddenly the Natu and Ekans came out from behind them! The duo’s fight for survival knocked Seamus’s awesome tools out of their grasp, leaving them to try and defend them the best they were able to while Seamus was away.
<Chromate.> Titanium warned, standing protectively in front of Seamus’s materials as the Weedle glared at the fighting Pokémon. The Weedle was starting to sob in front of a shiny looking object on the ground that appeared cracked, but hesitantly came in front with tears streaming down his face.
<Ohmigosh! What’re we going to do?! When he sees this mess…What’ll he do?! He’s creepy enough as it is! He’ll torture me!> He whined, flailing his arms around from side to side in a panic. The Beldum grunted in annoyance, and spoke calmly via telepathy to the Weedle. Chromate visibly calmed down in a matter of seconds, and started to get a slight confidence boost.
<Break it up you two, or face the wrath of the Demoic Weedle of Doom!> He cackled, unleashing a furious Ominous Wind at the duo, trying to use the attack to break the fighting Pokémon up. Well, it was the best move he had. Even if the Natu was injured in the process, at least it wouldn’t kill the darn thing.

The Ekans was hit full blow with the Onimous Wind. He regained himself and hissed angerily. The Natu rolled off into a bush, where the buizel ran to so he could heal his friend. The Ekans however, slithered to the Weedle and wrapped around him. <You took my dinner, now your dinner!>He hissed into the Weedles ear. His fangs glowed purple and he dug his fangs into the Weedle. Ekans is trying to make a meal out of Weedle! What do you do? ::ekans::

Chromate yelped as the Ekans sunk his fangs deep into his body, making one nasty looking bite wound in his body. He was lucky that it wasn’t a poisonous bite, even if his ability would’ve protected him from any additional effects. With a whimper, the Weedle attempted to escape from the Ekan’s long and slender body, but the thing was much too strong. Titanium rolled its eyes at Chromate’s first battle, and questioned whether it should help him out or not. Seamus did seem to care a little about them, since he did feed them and everything.
<Calm yourself, Chromate. Seamus is on his way.> It ordered, briefly deciding to take command while their master was off frolicking with the nearby plant life. They had a mission to do, and defending his tools was one of them.
<I’m trying but OHMYGAWD IT HURTS!> The Weedle squealed, losing his evil nature at once as he flopped around like a weak Magikarp. Oh, it hurt so much! He was willing to do anything to stop the Ekans from biting him! In a pitiful attempt to free himself, he shot a Poison Sting at the Ekan’s face. Using his tail in order to attack the Ekans instead of shooting tiny needles at its face. Certainly a stab wound from his tail would do a considerable amount of damage. ::weedle::

Ekans shrieked in pain but refused to let go. Suddenly, some of the Poison sting got into his left eye, poisoning him but giving him a little blindness. He could not see the Weedle and let go. <I'll get you when i evolve!>He shrieked, before slithering into the forest for a Oran berry. The Buizel and Natu came out. <Thank you for saving me, I'll appreciate it forever. I cannot travel, so Buizel will travel with you.>The Natu said in a small voice. The Buizel went up to Seamus and waited for capture. Natu is offering Buizel to go with you! Will you capture the Buizel?

OOC: Skarmory, since this is a Literate Pokemon website, you will have to use Spell Check. ^^'

Seamus finally returned to the scene, fed up since his Pokemon were nowhere to be seen during his research. He grimaced, wondering if they had ditched him already. What would he do out here without any Pokemon? Was he allowed to go back to the Pokemon Ranger Station to get another one? He kept on walking, starting to get even more nervous with the lack of protection. The darkness was starting to get to him; scary, creepy, and nothing looked familiar. That is, until he heard a gentle humming sound tickle his ears. He blinked through his orange glasses, adjusting to the dim light to see a happy looking Beldum hovering in front of him.
”Titanium? Are you…” He looked down to see an expectant looking Pokemon. It was…some type of water being? It appeared to have befriended his own Pokemon, even though he was far from interested in catching any Pokemon in this route.
<I won? I mean of course I won!> The Weedle started doing a little dance after scaring off the fierce Ekans. He chirped happily after seeing his master return to him, and quickly started to climb up his leg with the largest of smiles. Chromate blinked at Titanium, who was carrying Seamus’s suitcase with ease.
<Hey! I’m supposed to help! > He argued back, but before he could push it he started to feel dizzy on his master’s shoulder. He fell off into his master’s arm, who was genuinely shocked at the Weedle’s sick appearance. Had something happened to the thing? How hurt was he?! But before his eyes, the Weedle started to evolve right in front of him. Right into a Kakuna.
”S-sorry! We must go on!” Seamus didn’t really know what to make of the Buizel and Natu, but ran off with his Kakuna in his arms. It was pretty confusing, but he knew what had happened. Pokemon Evolution! How extraordinary! Titanium turned to the two Pokemon and bowed to them before trailing off with his master, following him until they reached a clearing in the forest. There, he could examine the Kakuna more closely.

A sleeping Spearow was awoken by the Ekans desperate hiss. He fell out of his branch and landed hard. He looked at the trainer and cawed angerily. He flew up in the air and made a loud caw, a warning caw, before flying in with Peck. <Fight me!>He cawed angerily. Wild Spearow appered!

”Gyahhhh! One of you, do something!” Seamus screeched in fright as he ran away from the flying bird, clutching his newly evolved Kakuna in the process. Titanium struggled to keep up as it had its own dead weight to cling too, and ended up getting hit from the Peck Attack. The bird type move struck against its metallic body and sent it into the ground. The Beldum looked around with a dazed expression, grasping its claws into the thin air. It thought for a second. Thin air?! Oh dear! The suitcase! Before he could get up, Seamus beat him to the punch. Their crazy trainer ran right in front of the Beldum, making Titanium think for a second that his trainer was defending him from the bird…but was immediately disappointed when he only grabbed the suitcase and hid behind the tree again.
”I’ll root for you from here.” He chuckled nervously as he clutched his immobile Kakuna in his arms. The bug type snuggled up with his trainer, glad to have some affection for once. It was a rare treat for a bug that was abandoned by his parents before hatching from his egg. <Ehehe, yeah. Go get ‘em Titan.> He laughed, more than happy to be this close to a father-like figure.
<…as you wish.> He responded as he started to levitate into the air, matching the Spearow’s altitude. Looking like a pendulum, he ticked from side to side in rhythmic motions as an eerie energy flowed through his body. It was as if he was connecting with the ghosts of dead Pokemon, asking them for their powers. One had awakened in him, causing him to use the move Roleplay on the Spearow. Now he had the Keenest Eye ever. And he lost his Clear Body ability. Darn his luck.

The Spearow felt him losing Keen Eye, but he got Clear Body in the progress. He got more aultitude and used peck as hard as he could. The Spearow had no intention of giving up, even though he lost his immunity to accuracy loss, he got an immunity to stat loss. He continued to dive, in hopes of landing a hit.

Frustrated after getting hit with another Peck attack, the Beldum wearily looked up at the Spearow with his giant red eye. If anything, he was going to show this bird a thing or two about fighting. And he would show his master that he was worth defending! With a calm and assured hum, he levitated straight to the Spearow with his body shaped horizontally. He didn’t appear dangerous, but Seamus took a quiet note that he actually looked like a bullet about to be fired from a gun. Just in case, he covered his ears as best as he could, dropping Chromate to the ground on accident. <Ouch! Hey! Hey! Kakuna on the ground here!> He cried, struggling to get himself up off of the ground with the poisonous barbs he kept tucked in his shell.
<Take Down!> He ordered himself, shooting straight at the dive bombing bird like an arrow through the dark skies. Sure, to was funny to see such a bird like this in the night. But he wasn’t about to question logic.

The Spearow collided with the Take down. He shook his head before diving to the Kakuna. He made a diving peck, a techique he had prefected over time. He would take the Kakuna if his life depended on it! He got closer and closer untill he had his beak on the Kakuna. He rose up in the air, with the Kakuna in his beak, and dropped him down onto the ground. He hoped that the Kakuna broke his shell, so he was vulrenble to eat.

Seamus kicked at the ground like a little kid having a temper tantrum once the Spearow sped off with his Kakuna. His. Kakuna. No one was ever supposed to mess with his stuff unless he had a say about it. Snatching the Kakuna’s Pokeball in his hand, he returned the bug type right before the Spearow was able to drop him to the ground. The Pokeball gave a shudder after Chromate was absorbed inside of the tiny sphere, signaling that he was successfully inside of the Pokeball. From behind his tree, and yes it was HIS tree, he glared up at the devious Spearow. That thing had almost eaten his first Pokemon. It had to pay. And Titanium needed to level up a bit, so this worked out very nicely.
”Titanium. Take it Down.” He hissed from the shelter of his hiding place, his figure barely visible within the night. In fact, it was hard to see much of anything in this darkness. The Spearow fluttering around was only found through the sound of its beating wings. But having the Keen Eye ability did help Titanium out a bit. It focused its eye on the Spearow, still feeling the recoil damage from the previous Take Down, and prepared itself to launch at the aerial bird.
<I do not appreciate your attempt to eat my ally.> It commented from below, shooting up at the Spearow with the aid of its magnetic powers. Since it technically didn’t know the ability levitate, but Titanium could still hover around, the phenomenon could only be explained with the power of the magnet inside of it. It shot up at the Spearow, trying to hit it in the gut as hard as possible.

The Spearow made a snarl caw. He gained a bit of Altitude before diving into a peck, also spinning around in a attempt to deal more danmage. When he collided with the Take down, he was thrown back, into a tree. The danmage of Take down, plus being thrown into a tree, made the spearow faint. Spearow is ready for capture! ::spearow::

"Grade A performance, Titanium. I thank you for your work." Seamus complimented from behind the trees with a pleased expression. He slowly arose from his position; the star's calm reflections faded in and out of his glasses like a ghost passing through a wall. With a hand sunk like an anchor in his pocket, and his suitcase in the other, he approached the tired Beldum. The two still had much to learn about each other, and this was only one experience to be shared between them. He gave a quiet snort. 'For what I paid for him and Ethyl, they had best be worth their amount in cash.' He scowled, feeling the despairing feeling of a poor man.
<Sir...?> The Beldum questioned in a monotone hum, its red eye gazing upon the disappointed face of his owner. He had been pleased with its work a moment ago, and now he was in another world. Were all humans this...emotional? It made the Beldum feel insecure about itself until Seamus interrupted him.
"Titanium...Have you heard of a 'Double Battle'?" He turned to face the Beldum, knowing that the Pokémon was intelligent enough to understand him. Titanium had a blank expression in its eye, which was all Seamus needed to see. "It is the sport of where two Pokémon do battle against two other Pokémon. You need teamwork for it. And strategy. I would like to see one in action someday...wouldn't you agree?" He questioned, leading Titanium away from the fainted Spearow. He had no use for such a weak Pokémon. Plus, imagine the conflict to be held between Chromate and any bird. Quite the issue.

Suddenly, a trainer appered, board. She had a Spearow and a Buizel on her team. She spotted Seamus and her Spearow brightened. She ran to Seamus. "You! I challenge you to a double battle!" She shouted. Her Buizel and Spearow went into a battle position. "By the way, my name is Sasha!"Trainer Sasha wishes to battle!

OOC: lolololol Skar.
Board: A wooden plank. Bored: The emotion.
YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE SOMEDAY. but for now; I laugh in amusement.
bic:
Seamus flinched at the sight of the female; her long and flowing hair trailed behind her as an eternal symbol of youth. His lips became dry and his heart pounded like crazy, the girl was beautiful. She had to have been 22, or 24 in his book! Unless she was the kind of girl that looked older than she was, which would’ve made her underage. But no matter what age she was, as long as she had a pair of breasts and a vagina, he planned on staying far away from her. He gulped nervously, pulling at the collar of his jacket as he shyly turned away. The older man was always going to feel this way around women. He didn’t quite know where these crazy emotions stemmed from, but it was starting to get a little crazy for him.
<What species are you two again…?> The Beldum questioned, recalling the bodies of the two Pokémon from before, but forgetting their names. Someday it would get good at identifying Pokémon, but right now, there was still much for it to learn. It hadn’t had much of an idea of what its trainer was talking about earlier, but seeing two Pokémon out and ready to fight caught him off guard.
”S-Sasha? T-T-That’s aaa lovely n-name.” He stammered, completely embarrassed about himself around the young maiden. It was probably for the best that he stood at least 5 feet away from her. He nearly choked up trying to pronounce his own name, feeling pretty nervous about it the entire time, but he really wanted to try a double battle. This was a good opportunity.
Thinking at a time like this could be a bit difficult. He wasn’t sure if he would even be able to help out his Pokémon the way normal trainers did. Heck, he barely helped them out at all in their previous battles. Titanium rolled its eye, figuring that this would be just like the other battles it had witnessed. ”Oh. I’ve seen these Pokémon before. Why, it was only 20 minutes ago when I saw a Buizel.” He commented out of the blue, feeling at ease once he was thinking and questioning his surroundings. It was only a part of his nature.
”I know this might be a bad idea, but Titanium, you should just watch. Chromate and Ethyl should get some more experience with each other.” He explained to the Beldum, who only watched on with a blank expression. It sensed that it was being dismissed, and simply hovered away at a safe distance. He threw out two Pokeballs, revealing an eager to battle Kakuna, and an extremely bashful Totodile. It was her move.

When she looked at him he seemed nervous, pulling at his collar and such, and Sasha only faked a smile at him wehn really she was wondering what was going on in that mans head. He wore mostly black with a bit of grey and not a hint of color from what she could see. The Buizel and Spearow laughed sligtly at the Beldum's question, <Buizel,> The Spearow pointed to himself, <Spearow,> The Spearow pointed to the Buizel. Wanting to see if it really would confuse the floating blue computer. " S--Sasha? T-T-That’s aaa lovely n-name." He was nervous and she could tell by the sound of his voice, but why? Because she was female, or because he was nervous about the battle? She didnt want to seem rude by looking at him well waiting to see if the battle was going to start or not, " Thank you, I dont think I got your name." He knew her name but she had no clue who this man was. " Oh. I’ve seen these Pokémon before. Why, it was only 20 minutes ago when I saw a Buizel," Why bring up Pokémon at this time? It seemed to just be something out of the blue but againt Sasha didnt want to seem rude so she smiled, " Yeah, they are pretty common around here." Finally he brought out his pokemon, a Kakuna and a Totodile. Well, he seemed to have more Pokémon then her. Seeing she just had Buizel and Spearow. Yes, it was her move. She let her Pokémon march to there spots infront of her as she thought of what attack and on who, " Buizel, Growl and Quick Attack on the Totodile, and Spearow use Pack on that Kakuna. Both nodded with evil grins on there faces. The Buizel growled before darting forward as quick as he could in attempt to attack the Totodile. Spearow also darted forward in attempt to peck the life out of the Kakuna.

<Ah. I see. The names are familiar, so you must be right.> The Beldum replied as it tried to figure out what had caused laughter in these Pokémon. Was it a silly question? Should it feel embarrassed about it? It was embarrassed wondering whether it should feel embarrassed about the question; silly, human emotions. They meant nothing to him. But what in Arceus’s good name was so funny…? While he hovered around Seamus’s stiff shoulder, the grown man was having some emotional difficulties of his own. He was starting to get shy again after registering that he was having a battle against a female. A female! Goodness, what was he even doing?!
”Seamus. It’s Seamus.” He repeated, figuring that he was stuttering too much for anyone to figure out what he said the first time he said his name. He was sweating like crazy; the Pokeballs themselves seemed to be even glossier than before from the sweat that came from his trembling hands. He shook his head and snuck them back inside of his suitcase so he wouldn’t have to worry about them during the battle.
<…you idiot. Why the heck are you sending me out to fight a bird? I hate birds. All birds stink. You hear that, ya stinky bird?> Chromate taunted, annoying Ethyl in the process. His loud voice just seemed to get on her nerves, even though the group had hardly met before. This was their first battle together, and he wasn’t even making it meaningful! She groaned, feeling her attack stat, and witnessing Chromate shut up as his attack stat dropped as well. <Finally come back to reality?> She grumbled as the Buizel charged into her with a fast and speedy Quick Attack. It sent her backwards, but as she dug her claws into the earth, she started to resist the force of the blow.
”Chromate, dodge with your Ominous Wind and attack with String Shot.” Seamus ordered while trying to remember the attacks the Kakuna knew at the top of his head. Darn. He was studying them the night before after going to the public library. Even writing them down on a note card, that he lost by the way, didn’t help. Chromate saw the Spearow coming towards him and sent a demonic wind towards the ground, boosting him up into the air and behind the Spearow. He turned his body around to face the bird, grinning all the while. <Eat this!> He cried, shooting a sticky String Shot at the bird to pin it down to the ground.
”Ethyl, use…” His voice trailed off and the Totodile perked up at her trainers voice. Come on, she needed some orders here. What in the world did he want her to do? ”Actually, I don’t know your attacks. Just do something useful.” He stuttered, too nervous around the female trainer to even recall what moves the Totodile knew. Blast his weak mind. Ethyl did an anime fall into the ground and got back up, trying to calm herself down. Getting mad at her trainer wasn’t even worth it, but boy…was she mad! She channeled her rage into her first attack of the battle, charging at the Buizel with her claws glowing with the power of steel, a Metal Claw!

Sasha blinked in surprise at the curious male. She'd never seen a guy quite as peculiar as this one. Nor one that sweat as profusely. As he switched from love drunk with her to more concentrated, but... still quite unnaturally strange with his pokemon, the female flipped her hair nonchalantly and the corners of her lips curved just the slightest degree upwards. Maybe she could work the man over to her advantage. Nothing was wrong with a little strategy, right?
"Seamus? That's an awful nice name. Ours both starts with 'S'! Sasha and Seamus! They sound rather lovely together, don't you think?" She purred gently, her smile lingering in his general direction. But Sasha's optics were definitely elsewhere. They flickered to focus upon her pokemon in a swift motion, eying the battle carefully, studying it.
Spearow was utterly disheveled at the crazy speed of the winds approaching him, and nearly confused himself trying to keep track of the pokemon he was battling. Soon as he knew it, he was getting pelted by this sticky... thing. Gross. He squirmed and kicked and cried out in frustration as his legs became entangles in the mess, slowing his movement partially. "Spearow! Scratch that Kakoona! Don't let 'im get away!" Sasha ordered, pointing a finger in its general direction.
As the Totodile's claws began to glow, Sasha ran her tongue over her upper lip in concentration, "Now, Buizel, dodge and use Quick Attack to help your speed!" The Buizel grunted in reply, pawing at the ground with all fours before beginning to pick up speed in the beginnings of a Quick Attack, using it's power to outrun the other and attack from behind.
