Update: To avoid confusion, I came up with this idea as a means for Pokemon Master... But this is open to everyone, not just pokemon master. It can also be liquid time or regular time... I suggested regular time since it does need to be mod and liquid time would be too cheap and too much work for mods to also do. But then again, the "not gaining a level" could scare a lot of people off of this for regular time... So if moderators don't mind, we can make it liquid
So I was thinking of people who had become a Pokémon Master and did not necessarily want to redo the journey all over again as they liked their group and did not really want to start all over... And from that it got me thinking of adding another route/city/region called Battle Frontier.
I thought that the Battle Frontier could be something that is in real time, although can be liquid at special occasions as it is like a Trainer Hill where all trainers go... It is a place where you have to pay PD to get in as it is a tournament style thing and the PD will go into the prize of accumulated PD or item. This is a good extra thing for people who have a lot of experience and do not want to restart, they can go into this Battle Frontier and battle some strong NPC members.
The purpose of the Battle Frontier is to get the prize, and win the tournament. You will not level up from the Battle Frontier (or if you do it will be after everything is over). And the Frontier will be a place with stats and levels do not matter as they are automatically equalized in this Frontier so you can not overpower anyone.
And every so often we can have a liquid time "Member Tournament" similar to the Pokémon Contest we did in the Masquerade Ball. The tournament will have everybody put in a specific amount of PD and the prize will be either an item, PD, or both. To make the member tournament more fair, every contestant at that time will be given the Stasis Stone to borrow. That way levels mean nothing and stat boost mean nothing also. The only thing that matters is move set and strategy. That way it is more fair and everyone can participate.
Outside of these liquid time "Member Tournament" there can be NPC Tournaments that are always occurring. Each person has their separate thread where they pay a PD fee and then they are modded in a Pokémon battle. The NPC trainer will have Pokémon of the same level as the ones they face, and you will have to use strategy to beat them in this case also. If you can win (lets say it'll be like 3 challengers), then you get a prize which will most likely be PD and/or an item.
And on other occasions, we can even have a very special liquid time "Random Tournament" where you will be randomly generated three Pokémon to battle with. And your opponent will also be generated three random Pokémon to battle with. The level of the Random Tournament will most likely be level 50 and you can choose the moveset from available moves (no move tutor or egg move). This tests your true ability as a trainer as you are not even given your own Pokémon to work with. And this will also always be member based, not NPC. This in itself will be another tournament...
So a recap:
1. PD fee to get in. Used for prize (PD and/or item)
a. No level up given for participating... Only PD and/or item. And bragging rights
2. Seasonal "member" tournament like the contest in the Masquerade.
a. But all Pokémon would hold the "stasis stone" given to Pokémon champions...
b. This way, level means nothing and strategy is #1
3. And there will always be random tournaments available for people who would rather do that than wild Pokémon battle/gym battle at the time.
a. The encounter will have a Pokémon equal to the one you use.
4. And we can have random generator battles for "member" battles on other special times.
a. You get a random Pokémon team (usually 3 pokemon)
b. And you battle someone with a random generated list also.
