Say you get a pokemon that's a male and you just really want to RP it as a female. This is where this item comes in.
Make an item that swaps the gender of swappable pokemon.
In other words, you can swap a male rattata into a female one. For froslass, you can't because it is always female. If rule of funny factors in, you could also gender swap those if you wish. They could make fun/funny plot points too. I guess you'd sell it in that shady shop in that one city that has a name that escapes me.
Thoughts?

Not a bad idea, but usually it doesn't really matter which gender they are, does it? I mean a male rattata could act just as girly and bitchy as a female one.
I personally don't see too much of a point to it XD It'd be used more in breeding, but that would take away the challenge and the fun of hoping dear god that it's a female or something.

Hmm Ari, think of gender-related moves like Attract. Attract is so much more useful when taught to females. I approve of this suggestion! =D

in breeding, you can pick the child's gender.
It's more for personal preference and for people that just really want a certain gender of pokemon. I'd use it on certain pokemon if I want certain quirks that just don't sit well with certain genders.

Orly? People actually care about genders? Sheesh I've been swapping my pokemon's genders around for years as I redo my PCs and decide I like something better a certain way. I didn't really even think it made a difference.

XD F, breaking laws of logic.
But um, I'd rather not have an item for it, but just a place to go for you to change the gender of your pokemon and drop 5k or something.
but tbh most of the time no one cares if you swap your pokemon's gender, unless the gender actually matters in its evolution.

Okay, let's make a place for it ? I kind of want to swap one of my pokemon's gender, and I felt this way you could do it without causing a logic bomb.

YES. LET'S DO IT.
I don't even care if breeding is involved or it is the ulterior reason. This screams lulz.
My vote is that Professor Winter does it at the lab specifically to make new members go wtf.

Exclude combee though. It's rare for a reason right?

Final verdict
If it's a Pokémon that doesn't have a gender-specific evolution, you can swap genders as you see fit. Just don't make a huge deal out of it and you don't need to ask an admin/get confirmation or anything.
Ralts, Combee, Burmy, Snorunt and any other gender-specific evolution Pokémon are the exception.
No items are needed, you don't need to go to a special place, just edit your PC information.
