Eleanor signed her name for the use of the Trainer's Lounge briskly andwithout making conversation with the secretary. This time was to make her Pokemon stronger, not to waste her time in idle conversation with whoever was working here.
Signed in, she slipped into one of the arenas, Pokeballs in hand. She had quite a wide variety of Pokemon, so she was confident she wouldn't be given an unpleasant surprise.
All the ame, loss was one step closer to strength. Through admonishment and punishment for their losses, Eleanor would motivate them to take that one extra step towards greatest. Some would see it as cruel. Eleanor saw it as inspired.
Now, there was nothing to do but wait for oppurtunity to come to her. This was were the true results of her tough training would be displayed for all to see.

Névoa slipped inside the Trainer's Lounge with a smile on her face. She hadn't been inside the building before but she had past it a few times now in her travels through the city. She couldn't help but have wondered if she could face the people who waited for battles inside. It was only now, when her strongest pokemon Elegy has gone missing that she decided that it was time to step inside. Why one might ask, would she choose now when her strongest was gone? Simple. She simply wouldn't stop until she recovered her pokemon and by golly she would do just that. She knew her pokemon needed more training. Staying on just route one wouldn't do it for her. She was too shy and kind hearted to attack every breathing pokemon there unless with a good reason. Against a trainer that signed up for battles though? She could deal with that. Besides, if things went bad then a pokemon center was down the street for ease of access, if there wasn't a center in the building itself. Approaching the front desk, she grinned at the secretary before signing her name and glancing at the battle rooms. Looking over the signs above the doors, she found one that was open and also looking for an opponent. There was no need to make her own room and have the mystery person in this one wait was there?Stepping inside the battle arena, her brown eyes spotted a female across the field. Giving a warm smile to her she waved and spoke calmly, though her insides where doing flip flops. This would be her first trainer battle. "My name is Nevoa, and you are?" She was shy and it sort of seeped subtly into her voice. The 19 year old couldn't help was try and bite down her nervousness because every step closer to the trainers standing point meant one step closer to the impending battle. Stopping in the rectangle square for her to command in during the battle she looked up, a question hanging in her mind. "Will this be a single battle? Or double?" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Eleanor thought for a moment. "Double Battle. The maximum amount of Pokémon that can faint is four. The first Trainer to have their fourth Pokémon faint loses." Eleanor did not return her fellow Trainer's smile. Taking out two Pokeballs, she sent out Goku and Yggdrasil. With a Grass Type and a Fire Type, the other Trainer would be unlikely to have Pokémon that could take out both of these opposing elements. If she did... well that wasn't good at all. But it was still experience, in Eleanor's eyes. "I suppose you have the advantage of going second." It was then that Eleanor allowed a single cold smile to light up her face. "May the best woman win." The girl didn't seem the type to say I intend to, but appearances could be deceiving. ::chimchar:: Level 7.5 Level 7

Nevoa almost frowned when the girl didn't smile back. So much for friendliness. Save the attitude for the battle, not before. She didn't however outwardly show her distaste. Some people were just unfriendly and some were rude. Deal with it she would chide in her head in slight amusement. Listening calmly, smile (though smaller) still on her face, she nodded at the thought of a double battle. She watched with brown eyes as Eleanor threw two pokeballs out and two pokemon appeared on the field. Just the sight of them gave away their types and she couldn't help but let out a chuckle at what the other girl said. Going second does give an advantage doesn't it. "Hope you don't mind if I use it then." Pulling two pokeballs out of her pocket she tossed them into the air, revealing the shapes of two pokemon. The first a Kabuto and the second a Cubone. Kabuto would work well against the fire type and possibly the grass type that the girl had. Cubone would help with the fire type. Fire didn't like ground right? It was only after she released them that something hit her. Good thinking Nev. Throw out two pokemon that were bad against grass type moves. She could have smacked her forehead but she resisted. She couldn't show her mistake to the female. "You may go first and sure, best female wins." She laughed slightly, smiling warmly. ::Kabuto:: ::Cubone:: Staccato|8|Female Grave|8|Male

Well well. The girl seemed to quite like her Ground Types. Bad for Goku, yes, but good for Yggdrasil, who had the advantage over Ground Types. At worst, she could summon Dimitri to even the odds. She would focus on the Kabuto first. As a fossil resurrection, she didn't know a whole lot about it, so she wanted to eliminate the unknown then move onto the slightly more common Cubone. Despite that, she would divide and conquer, given the Kabuto's natural resistance to both Fire and Normal attacks. "Goku, use Leer and Scratch on the Cubone. Yggdrasil, Vine Whip on the Kabuto. Stay sharp." The Chimchar glared at the Cubone with all the intimidation he could muster- not much- before lashing at his body with his small, yet sharp claws while the Bellsprout lashed at the Kabuto with a pair of thick green vines. Nevoa waited for Eleanor to attack. When she did her smile fell from her face immediately and was replaced with a determined one. She had to work hard, she had to get stronger for Elegy's sake. With quick reflexes she called out immediately after the other girl's voice rang through the battle arena. "Staccato avoid the vines as best as you can girl. Grave, the Chimchar isn't that scary, work through it and avoid the claws. He takes more time when he glares at you, use it." Her chocolate brown eyes glances up at the female before her and a smile was on her face again. Though this one was more 'hope you like what you got yourself into.' Staccato shakily nodded her head and scuttled trying to avoid any hits by the vines. She knew herself that one hit would be the end, or at least close to it. She couldn't afford that. Instead, as one of the vines came close to her, she pushed against the ground in a quick launch to the side and a half roll. Grave glanced at the Chimchar with disinterest. Nevoa was right about the fire monkey's lack of a very scary glare. Maybe it didn't have bite or bark. He watched through the holes in the skull as the fire type charged at him but didn't heed the words his trainer said. Move during the leer? Why? That monkey had about as much intimidation as a leaf on the ground in Autumn. Nothing to it---- What the heck was that?! As the scratch hit his side, the Cubone gave a hiss of pain and trotted back out of the range of the claws. So the Chimchar did have to bite.Nevoa sighed as she watched the two. Taking a deep breath to calm herself some she spoke back the retaliation. "Staccato, Icy Wind. Grave, Growl and Bone Club. Both on the Bellsprout. Take that plant out." She needed that grass type out of the battle. She would double team on the grass type if she had to do it. Her Kabuto wouldn't last long if it stayed in play. Kabuto leaped away from the Bellsprout and raised up a bit, showing some of it's underside... And her mouth. A light blue cloud erupted from the fossil pokemon's mouth, an icy wind issuing forth to coat the battle field and hopefully the two opponents before her, though Staccato was aiming mostly at Yggdrasil.Grave on the other hand puffed out his chest as a deep growl as he raised his bone club and charged at the Bellsprout, ready to smack it's root like body and bud of a head. ::Kabuto:: Staccato|8|Female uses ICY WIND ::Cubone:: GRave|8|Male uses GROWL and BONE CLUB

Goku squeaked as he was enveloped by ice. He suddenly felt a little slow and sluggish, causing him to stumble. Yggdrasil managed to duck aside from the cold breeze, only to be soundly clonked on the head by a large bone (lololol), his bud like head practically spawning distressed Pidgey. As both Pokemon regained their composure, Eleanor reissued orders. "The same again, Yggdrasil. Goku, Leer and Ember on the Kabuto." Though she knew how ineffective fire was on the Kabuto, Eleanor hoped that the two Pokemon attacking her simultaneously would panic the fossil Pokemon. And so Eleanor hoped as the monkey glared at the Kabuto, before letting loose a torrent of fire. Yggdrasil waited for a moment so as not to get burned, before lashing his vines at the smaller Pokemon. ::chimchar:: Goku used Leer and Ember on Staccato.

Nevoa was about to issue more counters to Eleanor's attacks when the lights went out. All she heard were the sounds of her Pokémon getting hit and a fall that she immediately registered as Staccato fainting. The grass type move was x4 damage to the poor thing. Sighing, she spoke up to the other girl. "Sorry but I won't be continuing in the dark. Dissonance, come on out." In the dark Nevoa couldn't see that her pokeball was malfunctioning. The battle field was pitched black until the red light broke through and a Charmander stood before her, his tail lighting at least her side of the field. Dissonance looked pained though as he appeared but hid it well enough that Nevoa didn't seem to notice, though she gave a questioning look. "Come on, we have to collect Staccato and Grave." The brown haired girl stepped out of the trainer's box, a sign that in a gym battle or something official would be forfeit. Her short legs took her to the center of the field where, as she guessed it, her Kabuto laid fainted. A small smile appeared on her face as she rubbed the fossil's back soothingly. "You did great girl." Reaching for her pokeball she noticed something in the new light. What...? The ball seemed to be sparking some and she frowned. Did she want to use this thing? Glancing down at the Pokémon she gave a small smile, placing the pokeball back into her pocket. Sliding her arms around the ground type, she stood up with Staccato secured in her arms. Glancing back to Eleanor she gave a small smile. "Thanks for the battle while it lasted. Do you want help out with my Charmander?" She might as well be polite. Yggdrasil and Goku gains 1 level for Staccato's defeat. Staccato 1, Grave 0? [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Eleanor blinked. That was an unexpected end to the battle, but regardless, a victory was a victory, wasn't it? As she returned her Pokemon to their Pokeballs, another light illuminated the darkened arena. The flame of a Charmander's tail flickered dimly, allowing Eleanor to at least see in front of her face.
"Good battle," she said curtly. At the offer of help getting out, she replied. "Yes, that would be good. Thank you." She followed the light of the Charmander's flames towards the exit.
