listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Austin, cut that out this instant...!" With a short shout, the male grabbed the Aipom by the scruff of his neck. The monkey let out a cry, then a whine in displeasure as Harper tutted softly. Giselle sat in his arms, stubby little dragon paws outstretched as she playfully flailed them at the Aipom in Harper's right hand, as if trying to maul him in her affection. The Aipom shrieked and tried to wrench himself from Harper's clutches, but the male's grip was stronger than he looked. Head hung in resignation, Austin fell limp, grumbling softly to himself. Harper gave a firm nod, placing the Pokémon down in slight pity. "Behave now, y'little monkey." He really could not expect much from a playful chimp like Austin, but he did beat Nash any other day.
Suffice to say that Nash was not the most ideal Pokémon of sorts that Harper had expected to receive as a "starter". At least he had Giselle, Austin and Caitlin, he would remind himself, albeit a little grudgingly. Harper hummed to himself, watching as the Aipom scampered onto the treetops and hung around playfully. The Pokemon's antics piqued the interest of the Gible in Harper's arms, so much so that she squealed in delight and flailed even harder, making it difficult for the blue haired male to control the baby's excited behaviour. Harper frowned, firmly demanding for Austin to get down this instant. Obeying, though rather unwillingly, the Aipom trotted along beside Harper, trying not to make as much noise.
Route 1 was scenic to some extent, and Harper was thankful for it in any case. He handed Giselle to Austin, allowing for the Gible to run freely. Her steps were still a bit shabby, unable to walk in a straight line without falling over. She would tip from side to side, an action that Harper found rather endearing for a baby. It was more or less time for him to get moving, and if he did want to reach the first town, it was best for him to start moving.

The trees ruffled gently even after Austin the Aipom had finished his play, and the trio walked down the path. In the shadow of this grand tree, they cowled, the quad of pink and green plant looked to the trio of travelers like bandits who had caught sight of an unquestionable bonaza. There was not a sound made from the four of them, simply eyes following the trio. As the debonair Aipom and his trainer sauntered forward, they watched. Whispers began solemnly, for their was still fear. They stopped at the glare of their leader, this was supposed to be a movement to simply watch. It was an weighty silence, and felt like centuries. But one of the Hoppip decided he had enough! His words came quick, strong, pointedly, and most importantly in a form which proved to be heuristic. “Well, hoppiiip, hophop. What're we going to do if we don't make the request? Our village will be overrun, there will be no mithridate our villainous poison!” It was heartfelt, and lead to a hammer drum of muttering from the five, before the leader rose his hand, cutting the noise. There was no choice, none at all. They would have to battle the dangerous enemies, and ask for this trainer and his pokemon's help. Only with the help of this trainer and his Pokémon did it seem like the Hoppips would have anything to show for their blood sweat and tears. The enemy would over run their family and friends; and they had no choice then! They had to ask him, even if their blood and his blood ended up intermingling, making the place the defenders had fallen hallow. They had to make their move, so all began to run, and jumped from their branch hiding spots, chasing the boy and his Pokémon with 'Hoppip hoppip hoppip hoppip hoppip hoppip!” Which of course in Pokespeech meant 'help up help us help us.' x4 Chasing Austin, Harper, and Gizelle around like mad cotton weeds.

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was evident that it was the late autumn, with the breeze blowing that way. It was times like these that Harper wished he had a scarf, in the mood of re-enacting a scenic romantic sap story right here, right now. Of course, he would have to do without the playful chimp and a baby land shark, which was proving near impossible. Austin was enticing Giselle with his stunts on his tail, which made the girl laugh like a child, utterly amazed and delighted by the show. Everything seemed so magical, and the Aipom's act was charmingly fun filled with laughter and giggles, so much so that Giselle whined as Harper picked her up again.
He had picked her up partly from safety, and partly from the swarm of Hoppip now circling them overhead. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the group of them, uncertain of their motives. Protectively, Harper clutched Giselle, who seemed a little intimidated by the levitating weeds that had them trapped. She squeaked in fear, clinging to Harper fearfully, while he held her possessively. Austin appeared not to take too well to being circled by mad cotton plants, growling in retaliation to the Hoppip. Harper looked around himself, apprehensive. What did these weird Pokémon want? He scowled, demanding for an explanation as to why they were doing this.

<He's not going to help us!>
One of the group, an anxious female, piped up as she stopped chanting their request for help. The rest followed suit, thinking that his irritated glare and the growling of one of the Pokemon meant that they would not help the poor Hoppip in need. Their nefarious foes were going to have to wait, because they had another battle that they had to fight, right here and now. If these strangers would not be of help, then they were merely obstacles that needed to be removed on their way to rescuers.
<Then we know what we must do,> the leader of the group said solemnly, casting a glance back toward his brethren. <We must fight!>
<Fight!> three tiny voices echoed.
Though they were pink and light and kind of cute, there was a little something intimidating as they floated into a tight formation and stared down their new opponents, whom they hadn't intended to be enemies at all. Then, in a rather confused turn of events, they all started to flail around.
Uselessly.
::hoppip:: x4 All Hoppip used Splash! But... nothing happened? What will you do now?

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In all honesty, Harper had not expected Giselle to react any more than simply whine and tremble in fear. So imagine his surprise as the Pokémon jumped out from his grasp, squealing in an attempt to intimidate the Hoppip with her sharp developing teeth. Snapping her jaws a couple of times, Giselle ran at one of the flailing Hoppip in a Tackle attack, rather furious at the little thing. Deep down she was trembling in her feet, but for the sake of her own sanity and mama Harper's, fighting appeared to be the only way out of this mess. Harper let out a short gasp as the Pokémon slipped out of his grasp, fearing for the safety of the baby dragon.
But there were other matters to worry over. Harper raised another Pokeball up and tossed it in a most elegant fashion, releasing a docile little creature. He smiled at the petite Castform, who presented herself with a soft coo, floating wordlessly into battle. She knew what she was to do, and do she did. With a snap, Harper called out, "Caitlin, Powder Snow." There was a sense of satisfaction when he commanded the Castform, for she obeyed willingly, opening her mouth wide enough for a stream of cold wind to blow at the offending Hoppip, travelling in a swirling, elegant fashion. Austin, on the other hand, eagerly leapt forward into battle, raising his arms while his tail propelled him into mid air. Once close enough to the splashing Hoppip, he unleashed a Scratch attack, screeching at his foe in disdain. Terrible, terrible things they were...!

Hoppip #1 Hit by Tackle Hit by Powder Snow (VERY Effective) WeakeningUses Splash on Giselle Hoppip #2 Hit by Powder Snow (Very Effective) Hit by Scratch Synthesis. Hoppip #3 + #4 Hit by Powder Snow (Very Effective) Use Splash on Austin
- <Battle positions, men!> The leader called out, earning a glare from the sole female of the group. Not that he cared, really. This was a battle! No time for personal grudges! The first strike from their opponents actually came from the baby dragon in Harper's arms, which successfully managed to tackle him despite how high up he was due to the wind.
- <You'll have to do better than --- oh dear Arceus!> Suddenly a Powder Snow blew at all four of them, knocking them all right onto the ground with its extremely super effectiveness. To make matters worse, while one of them was still down and in pain, an Aipom's Scratch attack raked at his side. Oh, the misery!
- <Heal thyself. We'll go in for the attack.> The leader helped the most injured of the group up, huffing from his own weakness. Sending a grimace to the baby dragon, he hurried and began to helplessly flail his arms around her. The weakened Hoppip healed herself with the power of the sun, nearly bringing her back to full health while the rest ambushed the Aipom with their horrifying Splash attacks.

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Giselle shrieked as the Hoppip splashed, backing away nervously into a small little pebble. It successfully tripped her, and the baby Gible tumbled backwards with a short whine. Harper scooped her up and cooed to the creature in an attempt to calm her. Not the wisest idea to have a baby out, but she'd beat Nash any day, and Harper honestly did not want to see Nash - At all. He was more than a little disdainful that his starter turned out to be a Nosepass of all things. Sweeping his fringe slightly, Harper stepped back as he allowed Caitlin and Austin to continue battling. They were holding up better than Giselle could have ever lasted.
The Castform seemed confused as the Pokemon continued splashing, seeing no reason for them to do so. Cobalt eyes caught sight of a Hoppip trying to heal, and that was not acceptable in Harper's books. He snapped his fingers swiftly, directing his attention to the healing Pokemon. Caitlin nodded, releasing yet another round of a Powder Snow attack at all her foes, but particularly directed to the resting Hoppip. Well, that would certainly not do! She huffed in pride, smiling sweetly at her work.
Austin however was busily giggling at the Hoppip's futile attempts in trying to attack. He growled, flicking his tail to try and lower the opponent's guard. A Tail Whip would suffice to make his following attack stronger than ever. With a screech mimicking that of a battle cry, the Aipom darted forward, motions erratic to throw the opponent off. Once again directing his attack at the Hoppip he had already been fighting, Austin leapt into the air and slashed his paws across at his foe, determined to make the Scratch attack land cleanly.

<Don't give up, men!> the leader cheered, earning yet another glare from his female group member, who was ignored for the second time in a row. She muttered something under her breath, but it was scarcely legible over the shrieks of pain as the Powder Snow attack hit again, striking her the hardest and sending her cowering in pain.
<Ow! Ow!> she whimpered, obviously weakening. Forgetting that Splash was absolutely useless, she figured that she would try and do damage this time around, rather than healing, and so she rushed toward the Aipom and started to flail wildly around near him, 'splashing' in the dirt and looking quite comical as she did so. She was then hit by the Aipom's Scratch attack, and promptly fainted.
<Man - er, woman down! Reassemble, troops!>
This was shouted by one of the remaining, the leader having fainted. The Hoppip whom remained, only two of them, both healed themselves in an attempt to get read to avenge their fallen comrades.

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Harper gritted his teeth in annoyance, cobalt blue eyes narrowing at the sight of the Hoppip healing, rendering his efforts futile. What an annoying move, and even more annoying Pokémon. True, he did find Jumpluff a most interesting Pokemon, but its predecessors were the most horrendous things he had ever seen. Harper scowled, his Pokémon just as aggravated by it as he was. Austin seemed ticked off by this matter, letting out a screech in objection. Totally not cool! Erratic as the Aipom was, he slinked forward brashly, swinging his purple furred paws at one of the healing Hoppip. Judging by the nod of Harper, Caitlin followed suit, deciding that Powder Snow had been effective thus far and could still be used. The two Pokémon launched their attacks, rousing the attention of Giselle. Awed by the display of power, the Gible tottered forward clumsily and tried to use a Tackle on one of the Hoppip.

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As the final of the four Hoppip fell to the ground, Harper hastily scooped a timid little Giselle into his arms, worrying for the small stout Gible. She let out a low whine, fearful of her attacks, but yet, at the same time, most proud of her work. Harper soothingly petted Giselle, who hummed in delight and crooned to the boy's caresses and calm strokes. He was indeed a sweet trainer, albeit a little vain at times, and rather whiny, but nice, nonetheless. He did quite a fine job of being her mama, and she had no qualms about it, clearly having not seen her real parents. After all, she was a stolen egg, something Harper had yet to tell the little baby. She never questioned it either, and he avoided it like the plague.
Austin clambered onto Harper's shoulder, while Caitlin remained demure as ever, awaiting Harper's orders. The blue haired male returned the Castform, kissing the red and white capsule endearingly, "Good job. Rest well, Missus Caitlin." Training was going well as far as he could see, but he did want to give Austin some proper training. He could afford to have him trained. Returning his Pokemon to their Pokeballs for some good old healing, Harper pocketed his Pokeballs and tended to himself. From his little pack, he pulled out a tailored blazer of sorts, slipping it on and buttoning up against the cold. It looked pretty smart with his wear, after all. Peering about the route, Harper continued along his way, leaving behind the collapsed bodies of fainted Hoppip in the dust. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Two Pokemon walked side by side together. One being a male Seedot, trying to talk to his lady friend, the Budew. It didn't seem like he was having much luck though....
<Aw come on, just a moonlight walk!> He said with begging eyes. The Budew scoffed and turned around. <Please, you don't have chance with me. I'm most known around here for my beauty and you're asking ME out? Pff.> She rudely gave him the cold shoulder and walked away, leaving the Seedot crushed. He sadly walked away and and sat smack dab in the middle of the route. Sulking rather hard he sighed heavily, his broken heart was in pieces. What did he ever do wrong?

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Harper had his hands in his pockets, one hand unable to be put it simply because he had a terrible tendency of raking his feminine fingers through his hair. It was terrible, but Harper was quite fond of it, and chose not to make a comment about it. Ah, he really wished he could have kept Giselle out, but the tired little thing needed to rest and recover, so she was better off sticking in her Pokeball, as with the rest of his team. Harper seemed put off, scratching his head, all the while looking about.
The rustle of bushes attracted Harper's attention, and he detracted from fussing with his appearance. He raised a brow in bemusement, preparing to advance towards the source of the rustling before he stopped short, noticing the queer little bump on the road. What a strange acorn to be lying on the road. Rather hesitantly, Harper prodded it with his foot, sounding slightly put off, "Mind if you roll out of the way, eh, whatever you are?"

Seedot angrily stared up at the Trainer asking him to just " roll out of the way." Did he have no respect for those who had aching hearts, shattered by the vain Budew now happily preening in the bushes? No, clearly not. It was a travesty! Standing up to his rather unimposing 1.8 feet tall, he glared up at the Trainer. >Well why don't you just go around instead?!< he demanded, shaking a tiny fist rather humorously at the boy, blinking away humiliated tears. Budew parted a few stray branches on the bush as she looked at the Seedot. Hmm. This would be interesting. Her vain little mind thought that the Seedot was fighting for her. Of course, she would still deny him anyway, regardless of the outcome. ::seedot:: ::budew::

listen, the birds sing, listen, the bells ring 彡 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Seedot's demands did not bode well for Harper, for the well dressed male saw no reason to move out of the way. If he were to think over this properly, there was simply no reason for someone who had arrived here first to give up the road for a small queer talking acorn. He grumbled, sweeping his hair to one side as he shook his head in displeasure, "Well, that will certainly not do." Making way for a talking fruit sounded extremely annoying, troublesome, and a stab to his own dignity.
"If you won't move, I must make you then." One toss of the Pokeball was all it took for the appearance of Austin yet again, who had not taken much damage from the previous battle (read: None at all), but at least his energy was back up and running. He looked at the Seedot in question, cheerfully waving, before he was interrupted by Harper, "Mister Austin, Sand Attack, then Scratch it." With a delightful chirp, the Aipom did a back flip, scampering towards the Seedot. With a hefty sweep of his paw, he kicked up quite a mound of sand, before rushing at the acorn with force, swiping at the Seedot in a Scratch. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The seedot rolled alright, reeling backwards from the force of the scratch and sand attack. He yelped, and found himself in a difficult situation. This entire fight wasn't making him any less angry.
<"You ungrateful!"> The seedot concentrated his pent up anger in one huge bide attack that would give way later. He wasn't about to lose to this stupid trainer who had no manners!
The budew was watching, she didn't really want to stay any longer. She had so many other guys at her dispoal, why would she want it? She began to walk away, leaving the seedot for dead.
::Seedot:: Mood: Angry Hit by Sand Attack and Scratch! Used Bide!
::Budew:: Mood: Apathetic Budew is leaving!
