Weeeeeell, I brought this up with Shaku and Felix in Skype. I was thinking we need an MMO us active members can chill out and relax in. I know we have Transformice but something with a little variety is what I mean.
All this MMO needs is to be free and to be playable on Mac, because I know there are one or two people around who prefer to use their Macs or ONLY have Macs.
We were thinking IMAGINE, which is basically like Pokémon for adults. I like it, Felix and Shaku like the look of it. Sub likes it, and by extension I'm almost certain Jub likes it or will like it.
However, I'm always open to suggestions. Chances are we won't find anything we'll all like, but if the majority of us like it, time well spent, yeah? Feel free to suggest any free to play, Mac compatible MMOs we can all have a little fun with. <3

I've played IMAGINE in the past. It's really only good for fusing random demons, as the grinding takes forever to get from one place to another. It kinda loses its edge quickly, in my opinion.
Also, I'd have to pass. I don't have my own laptop, so I can't install anything on the ones I have access to.

imagine looks kind of cool. I was just checking out their site and apparently until the 19th is 'newbie appreciation week' so we'd end up getting a starter pack of some stuff. So if we were to do it nows the time~

We do need a Medic, Re:Kari. =D Someone to heal us during the game would be freaking invaluable. Also, yeah there's a newbie appreciation week going on. You get a couple of tickets in your inventory at the start of the game. Using em nets you a free demon from a choice of three and a free weapon from a choice of five that will last you until level 35. Watch this vid for an example of just how amazing and teamwork oriented this game is. <3

OK then. IMAGINE it is.
Also attention Mac users. You need to download Crossover software to get this game for your Mac, and the free trial is 7 days for the games, with a $40 one time payment to get it permanently. Ouch. So I suggest you get the free trial, we congregate tonight and start plowing through the game.
For when we're done with IMAGINE, since I hear we can blast through it pretty quickly from veterans of the game, what suggestions do y'all have for something slightly more long term that we can just screw around with a few hours a day? Forsaken World, League of Legends, and possibly Perfect World would all be viable choices. If you want gameplay videos or have suggestions of your own, pleeeease post so we can all get a few MMOs to choose from. Thanks guys.

On that i have for when you finish IMAGINE; its called Pokemon Online, which is available for mac and Windows. I have it for mac, but you have to look around for the download.
Anyway, basically its where you can choose any team and pokemon, their ev's and moveset, items, shiny etc, and you can play against anyone you like, as long as they accept your battle request.

LoL can be pretty fun, though a bit time consuming. I kind of disliked the constantly added new heroes though, since they were always completely overpowered and invincible, people would buy them then two weeks later that'd be like 'haha got you' and then nerf the guy. xD
Been half a year since I played that so maybe they've gotten smart now? :'D was a somewhat fun game though, even if it always took forever to load for me. xD
Haven't played either of the other two so can't really give my two cents on those. >_>;
ANYWAYS when tonight are you all meeting up exactly? Tonight is pretty vague...considering we all have different timezones. xD and some of us have school coughcough

Uhg, perfect world, in my opinion the only thing that was good for was level grinding and frustration. There was one I played awhile back that I absolutely fell in love with <3.
It was called Aika I think...http://aika.gpotato.com/?m=game&a=beginnerguide
The pran are absolutely adorable and are what make the game.

I might suggest Perfect World... considering I love playing it and I'm slightly addicted. Though I haven't been on it in a while.

For those of you experiencing problems with a "mismatched data" type thing, Google SMT Imagine mismatched data, and it'll give you solutions.

I'll LoL with you guys anytime you want. It would be pretty good site bonding since you always play in a team of five, whereas in PW or FW you can group up but you can also pretty much do everything by yourself. [/font]

well this is a bad start to IMAGINE. xDD I download the game, go to play, and my client is wrong. Apparently they're letting you download 1453 despite the fact you apparently have to use 1.452 to play. xD That's reassuring. Edit: It was a simple fix~ :'D Now, assuming you all haven't abandon me and gone ahead on your own~ what do we need for the group?

Weeeeeell, these are several potential builds in IMAGINE
Tank: Takes the brunt of the aggression from the enemy and deals out slow, heavy damage while countering assaults. The backbone of any team to keep aggression off the mages, who have less HP. Points primarily go into Strength and Vitality. You'll deal high damage, but slowly, and there's a lot of expenses to be had in armor repairs and such.
Gunner: Shoots from far away with a gun. High speed and damage but low defenses and you need bullets, which can be costly. Points mainly go into Speed, Luck and possibly Magic if you're going for a certain build.
Fire Mage: Slow, heavy damage with a burn effect to deal more damage.
Ice Mage: Fast, medium damage with a freeze effect to hold the enemy in place.
Lightning Mage: Fast, medium damage with a shock effect to hold the enemy in place.
Force Mage: Extremely fast, high MP cost damage with a stun effect.
All Rounder: All the above, but difficult to perfect.
Almighty Mage: S;pw, insanely high damage and insanely high MP cost damage.
Supportive Mage: Attack, Defense, Magic and Speed buffs and curative magic, possibly with skills to lower the enemy's stats too.
