After a good rest at route one Nevoa had departed from Blaze in search of her pokemon, an Absol named Elegy. She had told it to run when they had been attacked. She wasn't able to reach his pokeball and with all the pokemon stealing that had happening she had thought it was for the best. When she had looked however she couldn't find heads or tails of her pokemon. Even when the power across the whole of Cheyenne went out she didn't stop looking. Even when tales of Team Death taking the power plant. Even when people said that people were fighting to get it back. She never stopped her search. It would be a week by the time she gave up on route one. He wasn't there. He had agreed to stay on the route so they could reunite! He wasn't there though! Using the sleeve of her stripped jacket, which was still ripped from the attack that happened on her by the mysterious person since she had yet to stop for new clothes, she whipped a few stray tears from her chocolate brown eyes. Where had he gone! Kicking a rock down the dirt path she sniffled, angry however at her tears. Nevoa had been lucky to hear of a mountain range that had Absol in them. They were rare but she was running out of luck. She had traveled to the place and some locals had told her the legends of the Princess and the Absol... And of the deserted castle. The castle was were she decided to start her hunt for Elegy. She would set up a location in the castle to place her sleeping items in case she was here for a while and it would provide shelter in case the weather became bad. The overcast of clouds seemed to threaten to drop snow or rain at any moment. The climate was getting colder and colder and she knew she would have to forfeit her hunt at some point, if only to get a winter jacket and scarf. Walking up the steps of the castle she tried the large door and found it, to her pleasure, unlocked. Walking inside and closing the door behind her she now had a new first agenda. To find a safe place for her stuff. If the door was unlocked anyone could get in.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

<We're getting closer...> A quiet voice, musical yet sinister, broke the silence of the walk as trainer and Pokemon crested the rise of a small hill. <I can feel it.>
Joshua did not know why Erebus had felt so drawn to this place. See, he heard not heard about the Tanali mountains, and that his newest team members' kind could be found here. Instead, he'd just shrugged and followed the Absol without questioning it, curious as to his new partner's goals. "We've been walking for what feels like ages," he pointed out.
<Not far now, Joshua,> was all Erebus said in response.
"Is that... a castle?" It came into view a few moments later, and Erebus nodded, starting toward it wordlessly. Joshua followed, intrigued by this more than he had been when they'd set out. He also released an Eevee from it's ball, the creature shaking out it's fur and gazing at Joshua and Erebus before giving a slight grin and trotting in the Absol's wake. "Nyx," Joshua said, with some affection.
Wandering into the castle, he blinked as he spotted a girl, Erebus sidling past him and wandering further into the place, clearly looking for something. "Uh, sorry, I didn't expect - what are you doing here?"

Nevoa had been trekking down one of the many corridors when she heard what she thought was the front door. The door she had just left behind her. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves she reminded herself that she was doing this for Elegy. All for Elegy. The noise was her brain playing tricks on her. That was it. Giving herself a half sincere smile she continued down the hall to a room with a shut door. Right as she was about to open the door was when the males voice broke through the silence.Jumping in start she brunette twirled around to face the new comer, chocolate brown eyes wide. "W-Who?!" She stuttered out as a hand shot up and clutched the front of her ripped up jacket. And she slowly got her breath back she took wider notice of who had appeared from no where. A male with two pokemon. An Eevee and an... Absol. Eyes widened at the sight of the particular pokemon but when she noticed the colors were normal and not her Elegy's red tone a frown adorned her face as she dropped her head. The name of her pokemon escaped her lips in a whisper, though in the empty house it seemed to carry, "...Elegy..." Raising her head some she looked back at the male and noticed the Absol leave, who she could only assume, his trainer. "I'm sorry... I'm Nevoa... What did you say..." She didn't sound very cheerful but then again who would be after their pokemon goes missing? [/blockquote][/blockquote]

She seemed pretty caught off guard, and so Joshua paused before saying anything else, waiting for her to get her bearings. He supposed that a creepy castle could definitely, well, give someone the creeps, if they suddenly heard footsteps and voices coming out of the woodwork. He wasn't easily startled, Joshua, and so he couldn't really relate, but judging by what he'd seen in practically every horror movie... this was totally normal.
His brow furrowed in confusion, however, when she whispered a term. Having been raised around music, or at least raised himself around it, he knew what it meant, and so didn't really register the fact that it was probably a name. "Hmm?" he said, obviously a little baffled.
Was she out of it? Certainly seemed to be as she continued. She didn't sound too happy, either. Oh goodness. If this was the type of situation he'd gotten himself into, he certainly wanted out as fast as possible. He didn't deal well with the sadness of others, it made him feel awkward and out of place, and so he cleared his throat awkwardly and shifted. She introduced herself, then asked him what it was that he'd said.
"Nevoa," he repeated, liking the sound of the unique name. "Joshua," he returned, then asked again, "I was wondering what you were doing in a place like this. It's not very... erm, it's a little grim."

Nevoa never realized she had spoken Elegy's name aloud until the male stated his confusion in the form of a 'hmm'. A light blush of embarrassment light up her checks as her hand subconsciously scratched the back of her neck. "Elegy. Um... Well I guess most would say that, if they even know the term, would be kinda like a a funeral song or a lament for the dead..." Her voice as she spoke got quieter as she spoke again, "however to me... Elegy is my Absol.... Your Absol reminded me of him... I must of have spoken out loud without knowing it..." Her brown eyes returned to the floor. At the mention of his name though she once more raised her gaze and gave a small smile. "Nice to meet you." As he continued realization dawned on her. Of course that would be what he had asked. Silly her. "I came here to find Elegy actually... It's a rather long story though... I'm sure you don't want to hear it..." She laughed out the ending lightly though hidden under it, if one listened carefully, they could hear the emptiness in it. It wasn't true. She wasn't really happy. Turning halfway to the door again she opened it and glanced in the dark room. A single window on the opposite wall was the only light but with the sky clouded it didn't illuminate much at all. Pushing it the rest of the way Nevoa stood silently, staring seemingly absent mindlessly into the dark. In actuality she was gathering a bit more dark vision and trying to make sense of a few of the dark shapes that filled the room. So far she could make no heads or tails of anything but a large cabinet looking thing against the left wall.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He nodded, quietly assuring her that he knew what the term meant. She then went on to explain that Elegy was her Absol, and it dawned on him why she seemed so upset. If he'd lost any of his Pokemon, he was sure that it would have affected him. He felt somewhat sorry for her, but did not express aloud his pity, merely nodded once more. Pity was a hard pill to swallow, and most - including Joshua himself - did not appreciate it. So, rather than chancing the fact that she might flip out on him if he gave his condolences, he chose to remain quiet on the issue.
She came here to find her Absol. Did that mean it had run away? Was it a Pokemon which she'd gotten in a trade, and therefore one that didn't listen to her? As a boy with a thirst for all things knowledgeable, she was wrong about him not wanting to hear it. He most definitely wanted to know more, he just had to make it sound like he was being inconsiderate. He thought for a moment, then said, "Well, I've certainly got nowhere I need to be going any time soon, so if you want to talk about it, go ahead."
The shadow cast along the wall apparently frightened his Eevee, however, because the Pokemon gave a squeak of fright and bounded over to him, jumping into a quivering heap in his arms. He shot Nevoa an apologetic look and stroked it's fur. There was the desire to laugh, but it was outweighed by the depressing situation. "It was Erebus that led me here, actually," he confessed. "Do Absol share some sort of connection with the place?"

A small smile reached her face when the boy told her he didn't mind hearing her "tale" of sorts about her missing smile. Maybe talking it out would be good for her? She didn't know. People often said talking things out instead of bottling them up was better for ones health but she was never good with talking. Much too shy. Her pokemon journey was helping her but she still wasn't the best conversationalist. "I'll tell you in here then I guess. No need to stand in the hallway. Maybe there are chairs." When she opened the door she didn't mean to frighten the boy's Eevee, a pokemon she didn't notice until now. That was a rare pokemon wasn't it? She had never seen one before. So many stages of evolution. They were amazing. "Sorry. Didn't mean to scare them." She gave a feeble look in response to his apologetic look. Looking in the room and after letting the lack of light adjust to her eyes she spotted a couch, though it looked rather dusty, and a large bookshelf. Everything else wasn't anything she could figure out. Stepping inside she glanced back to Josh to see if he would follow. At his comment of Absols and the castle she gave a small shrug. "When I went looking for Elegy some locals in a town over suggested this place. They said something about a princess or something but the only thing that sunk in was the fact that apparently these mountains and castle grounds are popular with Absols." Walking towards the couch she glanced it over before scowling. The thing was filfy and while she wasn't a germ freak she certainly didn't want to sit on something that Rattata could very well be living it. "I decided to check this place out just in case. And Josh, that's your name right? Do you mind if I add some light to this place. It's rather hard to see." Nevoa pulled a pokeball from her pocket as she pressed the button and enlarged it. She would wait to see if the male minded before releasing her Charmander though. He wasn't much but the fire on his tail would help illuminate the room so they could at least see. Maybe he could even provide some warmth if the clouds outside decided to let loose the snow. Kneeling down the nineteen year old placed the shiny pokeball on the ground in front of her, though the first thing she did was make sure it would roll. There was no need for her to loose two pokemon. Once it was stable she slide her guitar off her back and placed it beside her, the strings vibrating softly at the movements. Once that was placed on the ground she also slid off her satchel. "Well.. Where to start with this tale..." She gave a soft sigh before glancing over to where Josh's dark silhouette could be outlined. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
