{desc=Onwards, To Adventure!}
Name: Pepper Dawson
Gender: Female
Date of birth [Age]: December 8 [17]
Appearance: Pepper stands at about 5' even. She's slender, small, and the first thing that is noted when meeting her by anyone who's witnessed her attitude from afar is "I thought you'd be taller." Pepper always has a smile for those around her, even if that smile sometimes isn't a kind one. Her favorite outfit is a black and green corset style top over a black and green mini skirt. Her black and green leggings are held up with black nylon garters and the sleeves of the shirt are a pair of black leather straps over each shoulder. She wears black arm warmers in chillier weather.
During the winter she continues wearing black, which emphasizes the ebony perfection of her straight dark hair. She has bangs that are carefully trimmed straight, and her layered hair falls to mid-back in swooping waves. She wears the green and the black mostly to emphasize the dark contrast of her eyes, which are a green so dark they look almost black. The black brings out the green, while the green emphasizes that her eyes are still very dark.
History: Pepper's life was a good one. She had loving parents, brothers that annoyed her, and a sister that hogged the bathroom. As the baby of five, she wasn't overlooked or forgotten about and although her family was well enough off she wasn't overly pampered or princess-like. She had a happy, fulfilling childhood of fighting over whose cartoon to watch, whose game to play, and whose friends were better. She had loving parents who worked ordinary jobs and made dinner and helped with homework and sat their children down to talk to them seriously about whatever was bugging them.
When they grew up, her older brothers and sister took on ordinary jobs with ordinary wives (and husband) and they had begun to reproduce, as was considered ordinary. The road was paved for Pepper to do just that exact same thing...marry Grey Chase from up the street and become Pepper Chase, have babies, let him work until the babies were in school before going to work herself, and raising a postcard family identical to the one she'd come out of.
There was only one problem.
Pepper hated being ordinary. She hated the life she lived, she despised her parents for being so plain, and she dreamed at night for more. Much more. She daydreamed for more all day, doodling her dreams in an ever present sketch pad. So she broke from the ordinary of her ordinary family and their ordinary professions and went searching for her soul.
What she'd found was working for a local Pokémon Breeder. It was supposed to be a glamorous profession. A noble one. The babies were cute...the smiles were rewarding...and when she was allowed to handle the eggs, it was even better. But it was still anti-climactic. Pepper dreamed of excitement, and although her job was perfectly noble and kept her close to home where her perfect family lived...she dreamed of more.
Then she saw her first Pokémon Battle. It was outside on a clear day along the path to the breeder's home. Pepper was walking - more like trudging - to work when she'd come across two Pokémon trainers clashing. Pepper stared with widened eyes as before her a new path opened up. One of battles and contests and personal travels that her family couldn't even dream about. She watched that battle, one between a Squirtle and a Bulbasaur, and a new dream began to grow.
It took some time to save up enough money and convince her parents that she couldn't be a Pokémon trainer in the same region because of technicalities, but at sixteen, the baby of the Dawson family had departed.
Only to find that her dream was harder than she'd thought. The naive dreamer of an ordinary girl hadn't had the street smarts to even get to the Pokémon Lab in the region she had chosen, and she failed utterly. Alone and desolate in a City in some far away Region, Pepper found herself huddling on the street to keep warm during her seventeenth birthday.
She found herself sometime later under the tutelage of a retired Gym Master, who took her under wing for the winter in exchange for her assistance around his house. Arthritis prevented him from being able to aptly chop his own wood or clean his own house or cook his own meals, or so he claimed. Yet for the first time in her life, as Pepper found herself cooking and cleaning and learning how to start a fire in the grate, she began to become self sufficient.
When the old man sent her on her way with the spring thaw, Pepper left with a new resolve in her heart. She travelled to the Cheyenne Region and spent her time making her way across the region to what would hopefully be another start to her journey.
Interactions with Pokemon: Pepper's experience with Pokémon has admittedly been limited to the newly hatched babies at the breeder's and the few Pokémon the Gym Master still had. She has seen and encountered others along her path, but these encounters have been limited and were ill adept at informing her about how to deal with Pokémon.
She does know that she's scared witless of bug Pokémon, though, and even the sight of one will send her up a tree. Although she prefers cute and cuddly like any other female with working estrogen, Pepper also has an odd fondness for snakes.
Personality:
Pepper's always been a precocious, eager child. Her attitude is one of general good cheer and sunny disposition. Though some people dislike the brilliance of force that this disposition takes on in Pepper's attitude and actions, she seems to love everyone she encounters and has a brilliant smile just for them. Now that she's on her journey and no longer bored with her life, Pepper's personality is even more sunny in disposition.
She has been told that she has a way of making someone feel as if they are the most important thing in her world when her full attention focuses on them, and others have mentioned to her that her full attention is somewhat unnerving, and so Pepper is almost ADHD in the way she focuses on one thing for only short snippets of time before she bounds away to the next thing. She's known to carry on three or four rapid conversations and keep up with each of them.
Although her winter on the streets living lean and cold should probably have mellowed her out, the opposite is actually true. Pepper's love of life has grown in spades and she wishes everyone around her to feel the same love.
Goals in Cheyenne: What does any girl want out of life? Excitement! Romance! Anything but an ordinary home in an ordinary family raising children to be just as ordinary as you are! Pepper would love to find love, but she wants to find it on her own terms, doing what she wants to do...and living life as she chooses.

Personality:
- Dreamer
- Pepper has never been fulfilled with her life. It has never been enough for her. She always dreams of 'what else' is out there...what 'more' she can accomplish. It makes her somewhat unappreciative of the 'now.' - Kind
- Pepper is the first to extend a hand in kindness to anyone, even a loathed enemy. Though that sometimes makes her gullible, she will do it every time because in her words, "I'd rather be gullible and kind than guarded and without compassion." - People-Person
- If she's ever met a stranger, they haven't stayed that way long. Pepper's larger than life personality makes her literally incapable of leaving well enough alone. Even if someone might as well be wearing a 'DO NOT COME CLOSE' sign on their back, Pepper will get right in their space and smile and introduce herself.
