Name:[/i] Alexa Splice
Gender:[/i] Female
Age:[/i] 18 (Oct. 31)
Appearance: Pale blonde hair shimmers in the sunlight and glows under the moon's rays. The silky smooth strands of hair that are the pride and joy of Alexa flow around her body, matching the natural curvature of her body. Protruding from the top of her head are a set of small, equally pale yellow ears. This is the only trait she has from her PokeMorph heritage, but she takes every opportunity to cover them with the hood of her bright red jacket, which she wears in a fashion that reminds people of Little Red Riding Hood.
Resting beneath her bangs are her deep, almost crimson colored eyes. Though her papers demand that her eyes are brown, to anyone who catches a passing glance of her sharp gaze would swear up and down that her eyes are blood-red. Maybe it's because of her high cheek bones that cause the light to naturally be attracted to her eyes, or maybe it's because of her hair color making the illusion of her eyes being red.
As for attire, the aforementioned red hooded jacket is always worn by her, and almost always the hood is pulled up. But underneath said jacket Alexa tends to wear a sleeveless, very lightly colored caramel dress that hugs her body until it hits her hips and then flows outward a little, stopping right at her knee line. However, when she is not in the mood for a dress, she will wear a cream colored T-Shirt and faded blue jean shorts. Regardless of the outfit, she likes to wear tan, winter boots with a ring of white fur around the tops of them.
History: If you asked her of her early childhood, Alexa would shrug and make a quick effort to change the subject. True, her memory doesn't quite reach such young ages, and what memories she does retain are foggy and are surely skewed by childish innocence, but she is well aware of the dark haze that lingered around her previous homelife. Angry, never present parents made her upbringing defined her early years. Thankfully, though, she was quickly taken from the terrible environment and transferred to the arms of a very loving family.
Her new parents never made an effort to hide the word "foster" from young Alexa, but they never dared to utter a word of her true family. Ever curious Alexa and slightly temperamental due to new found hormones at the age of 14 Alexa gathered her belongings and ran away from home. Bright eyed and bushy tailed, Alexa traveled from town to town in search of her ever illusive parents. Of course, she couldn't have done this alone. Along the way she made quite a few Pokemon friends and even captured and trained a few of them (Goes into further detail in the next section).
Years passed and time soon eroded away her dreams of finding her family and gave way to the goal of becoming a Pokemon trainer. With her trio of Pokemon she decided to challenge her first gym: Jasmin of the Olivene City Gym. Confident and full of zeal, Alexa went full force against the Steel type master, but proved to be nothing more than a minor irritance to the Gym leader.
Heart broken and depressed, Alexa made the rash decision to say farewell to her beloved Pokemon and set her sights on a new land, in hopes of escaping the painful memory of defeat. She hopped onto the first ship she saw and decided that wherever it stopped she would start over. However, this time she would make sure that she never felt the sting of defeat ever again. She vowed to never let her Pokemon down.
Months later the ship finally docked in a completely unfamiliar area called the Cheyenne region. She took in a deep breath and began to explore the local town that was built around the harbor. Too stuck on herself to ask for directions. Alexa found herself wandering aimlessly through the streets and alleyways until she found herself in a clearing on the outskirts of the town. with a sigh, she plopped down in the medium length grass and gazed up at the crystal blue skies.
She had just begun to relax when the all too familiar sound of rustling grass made her jump to her feet. From a cluster of near by bushes a medium sized, cat-like creature stumbled. The white Pokemon with massive black claws gazed at Alexa for a few seconds before it winced and fell face first into the grass.
Panicking, Alexa quickly grabbed the last of her supplies and began to heal the fainted Pokemon. A revive and hyper potion later, the Pokemon, which she had decided was a Zangoose, was back at full health. Thankful for the human's help, the Zangoose eagerly did his best to express his thanks to her.
The two of them speak hours together simply playing and talking to each other, though lack of linguistics made holding a conversation very difficult. By the time the sky had faded into various colors and shades of red, Alexa and the Zangoose had decided to become partners. With her very last pokeball in hand, Alexa turned to the Normal type Pokemon and allowed him to enter the pokeball.
Interactions with Pokemon: Alexa's first meaningful encounter with Pokemon was only a few months after she had run away. She was running through an open field, tired but still going strong when she saw a small Pokemon that was covered with a thick fluffy fur. Curious, the girl approached the Pokemon, and to her surprise the wild Mareep did not flee. In fact the young and innocent Pokemon came even closer. Alexa played with the young Mareep, and though the two never came to an official agreement, they began to travel together. Alexa nicknamed the Mareep "Anna."
Her next encounter was on her 15th birthday. While her and Anna, who was now a Flaaffy, trekked through a sparsely populated forest, an impossibly fast green blur shot out in front of them, just narrowly missing the duo. Alert and panicking, Alexa commanded Anna to use a Thundershock in the direction of their attacker. The attack missed, but it did succeed in forcing the attacking Pokemon into the open. It was a Scyther. A long, and rather difficult battle occurred between the Flaaffy and the Scyther, but soon Alexa and Anna ended up on top and the Scyther was added to the team. Alexa named the Scyther "Jason."
For two years it was only Alexa, Anna, and Jason, but that came to an end when she met an emaciated Meowth slinking through the shadows of a small town. Determined to help the Pokemon, Alexa and her two Pokemon spent nearly a month coaxing the Pokemon into the open. From there it was just a matter of time before Alexa weaved her way into the Pokemon's heart and soon added her to the team. The Meowth, who evolved almost instantly after joining the team, was called "Grace."
Alexa's team when she challenged Jasmin:
Anna (Ampharos) was at level 38. Electric type with the ability Static. She knew the moves: Thunderpunch, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, and Power Gem.
Jason (Scizor) was at level 34. Steel type with the ability Technician. He knew the moves: Slash, Agility, Bullet Punch, and X-Scissor.
Grace (Persian) was at level 35. Normal type with the ability Limber. She knew the moves: Screech, Faint Attack, Aerial Ace, and Shadow Claw.
Personality:
- A little on the materialistic side
Though her world doesn't revolve around clothes, shoes, and other personal items, she definitely won't deny a shopping spree once a month. Or maybe once every two weeks... - Hard outer shell
She will almost always give off the tough-girl appearance by looking down on other people and refusing any friendships. Of course, this is all just an act, but an act that would be hard for her to break. - Secretively generous
Whenever she stumbles across a poor soul in need of her help, she'll quickly roll her eyes and sigh, but will do everything in her power. Granted, this is usually followed with her saying: "If you tell anyone about this, I'll pour bleach down your throat."
(I'd prefer not to add much more on the personality, as I like to develop it as I role play. However, if you need me to write more, I'll come up with something.)
Pre-starter information: Alexa and her Zangoose, Zander, have a sort of implied bond. Zander being the calm, quiet, and more or less distant type rarely likes to show much emotion (except for when he's really grateful for something). Matched with Alexa's somewhat self absorbed attitude they give off the aura that they are always having a stand off. However, that is far from the truth. They actually share a very deep bond that goes beyond words.
In a sense, they saved each other. Alexa saved Zander's life, and in the process he opened Alexa's eyes and allowed her to stop beating herself up over her failure. If they were to tell that story to anyone on the street, the bystander would seem confused as to why that made their bond so strong, and is simply because they have connected in a way that is almost the poster-child picture of destiny.

*I don't want to go to the Ranger Station, that's why I put it at level 4.
Goals in Cheyenne: Alexa's goals are, obviously, to become a pokemon master, despite how cliche that is. I think this would be a good time to point out that I'll be treating her like a Nuzlocke character in the sense that any Pokemon she has that faints will die. However, I won't be doing the "first Pokemon you see in each area is the only one you get there" rule.
Goals for myself, however, are the same as any other role play site I've been on: I want to better myself as a writer by attempting to create an original character who struggles to over come his/her major flaws. I'd also like to meet a few new people and possible make some long lasting friends, but I'm not exactly a social bug, so that one might not happen xD
