Name: Leon White
Age: 32
Gender: male
Type: Trainer [unlisted; Scientist]
Allegiance: Neutral, possible candidate for Team Death?
Appearance:
Leon is in no way exceptional looking. He is bland, and does not really care about that, either. He has a chocolate brown skin, a result of his parents mixed heritage. He has sleek black hair, long with a few short bangs in his face. The long locks are tied in a small ponytail in his neck. He has dark gray eyes and has a black mole under his left eye.
The same could be said about his clothes. Functional and dark in tone, he likes sweaters with shirts under them. He despises the typical white lab-coat and the 'scientist' appearance, so he dresses in plain dark clothes. He has poor eyesight and wears thick framed glasses.
Leon is tall and bony rather than broad or thin. An aspect inherited by his father, who was strong and big. Leon, who does not care much about working out, has He is reserved to show emotions and use excessive body language.
Personality:
Leon can easily be described as a work-a-holic. Having spend most of his life studying his field of interest, he has settled to this description. It does fit him, as most of his time is spend at this. Though he does have other hobbies besides his work.
A fan of jazz music (his father was the cities best saxophonist), he can often be found in jazz clubs and bars, drinking coffee with extra milk and enjoying the music. Since he grew up loving the music, he has quite a few friends in this area, mostly jazz players. Leon plays the saxophone, but is in no way talented enough to be a professional player.
Leon is a quiet person, thinking twice about his actions and words before speaking them. This makes him a very reserved person, something that troubled him in finding love. The only things that gets Leon really fanatic are poison, science and jazz. Though this does not mean Leon is shy. Perhaps a little stage fright, but he will not resist talking to people. The problem starts when he realizes he's not at all good at small talk. The only Leon really felt in love with was Pearl, a bartender at a local jazz bar. But his love was unanswered as Pearl preferred outgoing jazz players to timid scientists.
A weak point of Leon is his stubbornness. If he believes his statement is right, he will stand to defend it until proof is provided he is wrong. Though he will not easily lose his temper, he does not forgive other's wrongs easily.
Being of mixed heritage, Leon can be a bit nervous about his appearance. He mostly believes the inner counts above looks and is content about himself and his body. Still, he worries about how others view him.
When confronted with Pokemon, his first reaction is curiosity. Loving to learn, this can form dangerous situations. Though he does not lack common sense, he can sometimes forget Pokémon are wild and intelligent. Leon's favorite Pokémon are of-course, poison type. He has some troubles getting used to this whole 'trainer' thing, feeling a bit old for it, though at the other side, his motivation to travel around is stronger, making him determent to finish this quest.

History:
Born in Ville du Grand Pond of mixed ethics, Leon's father was a Black jazz saxophonist, his mother a Caucasian receptionist at the Colosseum. He was a single child and had a normal childhood, with no great catastrophes in his young life. The first loss Leon suffered was that of his father at the age of 23. His father had a natural death (cardiac arrest).
It became apparent from a young age that Leon preferred learning and reading above playing with friends or Pokémon. He was fanatic in science, always busy experimenting in the garden dirt, or with kitchen applicants. So it was only natural that he studied Science, all the way up to University. Being called a genius in science, he received a fund to study in a field of interest. He picked poison and pollution.
Quite the workaholic, young Leon had little interest in love. He had a few girlfriends, but most lost interest in him as quickly as he did in them. His true love lay under the magnifying glass and the powers of numbers. He was often hired by the government, being consulted on everything from chemical accidents, poison Pokémon outbreaks or natural pollution. And a few times, assisted police in investigating poison used in murder cases. He has also made a number of publications in magazines about the responsible use of poison Pokémon and the effect of poison on the environment.
Upon turning 31, Leon changed. He felt he had reached his limit on what he could learn behind a desk. The words he wrote were no longer fresh to him and a need to explore gnawed on him. He wanted to see these places he wrote about. To see poison Pokémon in action, and feel what it was like to fight using these moves. Whether this was his age, or a kind of adventure he had lacked in his childhood, Leon did not know. But he decided to follow this. He took a full year to plan his journey. He took a life-course savings scheme of a year and set to planning and packing, wanting to leave fully prepared. Informing his mother that he was going to travel around the region, he set of to make the journey most people made as teenagers. He took a boat to <name of beginners town> to get his first Pokémon at Professor Winter.
IC:
==A new start==On the SS Marie, Leon had spend most of his time on the deck, hanging over the railing...being sick. Charming. And the waves nor the wind was even very hard. Some people had turned to snickering behind his back. When he finally came around, he rubbed his face with the palm of his hand. "Good Legends, why didn't I take a flight?" He moaned. His adventure wasn't setting of on a good foot. He looked ahead of him. He had never seen the sea before in his life. He had to admit it was nice, though he preferred to see it from land. Not that he was regretting starting his journey. He was too stubborn to give up before it had even started.
He thought back about the letter he had send to Professor Winter, explaining his situation. He had really been friendly to accept his request for a Pokémon. He had honestly thought only teens could get a Pokémon and start their 'Pokemon adventure'. Not boring, studied adults like him. Thinking back on his childhood, he couldn't help but smile as he thought back on his younger years. "What fools, wasting their time taming animals!" He had called out as a kid upon viewing the TV or seeing children of his age leave home on an adventure. Who could have thought he'd be doing the same thing, only 15 years later? Maybe it was just a mid-life crisis. He'd be so much easier off buying a motorcycle or going on an expensive cruise. Why did he have to chase around the region with Pokémon again? Ah right, the adventure. He smiled to himself, dreaming away as in the distance, he could just make out the port. The start of an adventure.
