Full Name: Rane Lyre Mayanaka
Gender: Female
Age: 16 (June 15, 1994)
Appearance:
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 112 pounds
Hair color: Dark blue
Eye color: Blue
Starting at the top, her hair is a dark color. It it mostly black yet hues of dark blue are also present. However, the blue is only apparant in the sunlight. Other than that, the night reveals it to be jet black. The length of her hair is about shoulder length, maybe a few inches above. It's layered so that the hair gows from short to long as you travel from the front to the back. Her eyes are a saphire blue color. It usually shows a calculating look and reserved, cold glance, though only towards those who she just met. However, they seem to soften and sparkle a more friendly color near friends and she her smile is quite sweet. Her body figure is quite average for a 5 foot 5 inch girl.
Clothing:
She isn't a fan of skirts or dress. Instead, she is more on the casual side when it comes to wearing clothes. She prefers to wear boots that go up to her shins and jeans. Rane often has a jacket, usually a gray one, with a hood, in case ther is rain. Her wrist is always equipped with her Pokegear and she keeps her Pokeballs clasped to a belt she wears. Since she travels as a Pokémon trainer, she carries a knapsack for a bag, which is always slung over her shoulder. Around her neck is a black choker with a silver liscense that has a fancy "R" engraved upon it.
Background: (Must be at least 800 characters in length.) She was born in Ecreutike City as an only child with her parents raising her. However, when she was 6 years old, her parents died in a fire accident, leaving her an orphan.
She was taken in by her a neighboring family. The son of the family, Seek Anhide, became very close to Rane as they did everything together. Together, they talked and dreamed of being Pokémon masters, though Seek seemed to be more ambitious about it than Rane. Because she was young, Rane felt she had to do everything Seek did. When Rane was seven, Seek took her into the forest and began to show her the wildlife habitat of Pokémon. There, she truly began to appreciate Pokémon and began to take on Seek's dream as her own.
By the time Rane was 8, Seek left home to begin his Pokémon journey. Rane and Seek promised each other to meet again on the road to the Pokémon League and Seek gave Rane her necklace with the engraved "R", which she wears everyday, in mermory of their promise. This promise drove Rane to become a skilled Pokémon master as she already began to venture out in the woods alone, even without any Pokémon with her. There, she'd sit at a base of a maple tree and observe different types of Pokemon, while reading book after book until dusk came when she returned home. Rane had tried to begin her journey at age ten, but her protective foster parents refused to let her leave until she was older. Though quite disappointed, she didn't disobey them. But her daring nature allowed her to travel further into the woods and spending a longer time in there.
One very windy and chill day however, when Rane was at age 12, she ventured deep into the woods where she's never been before. A glowing blue light attracted her and she followed it towards the source. The forest was eerily quite, as if all the Pokémon in the forest stopped breathing and only she and the glowing blue light were the only things existing. As she drew closer, she saw a form standing on the roaring river, unfazed by the torrent that continuously bombarded it. It's eyes were of a glowing color and it had looked straight at Rane with cold eyes. Both human and the creature stood in place, looking at each other. The creature had a contemplating, calculating gaze while Rane's was full of awe and curiosity. As she dared to take one step closer, the creature let out a growl and quickly lept away, disappearing into the mist. This was Rane's first encounter with Suicune.
Now, she is sixteen and ready to venture out, thirsting to know more and acheive her goal.
Personality: (Must be at least 400 characters in length.)
When you first get to know her, Rane is quite shy and somewhat reserved. She may gaze at you with slightly curious yet reticent eyes, as if measuring how you would affect her life today. However, get past this cold barrier and you earn yourself a nice, sympathetic friend. Rane isn't a great talker, though she loves to make new friends and is a great listener, especially when one has troubles. She may not be able to solve all your troubles, but she can provide comfort.
However, don't let this friendly demeanor fool you. Rane has ambition and a daring personality. This especially comes out in battle as she does not show mercy, willing to win every battle. Rane is quite an impatient and somewhat aggressive person, though this is not very apparant, but subtle. For example, in battle, she rarely resorts to defensive moves. Her commands are usually always offensive, showing her impatient side. Rane is a very good strategist, and can calculate a winning victory. When she looses, she acknowledges her opponent's strength and takes time to train her Pokémon to become stronger. When she wins, she shows humbleness on the outside yet joy on the inside. She loves to have a close bond with her Pokémon and tries to give equal amount of attention to each.
Rane finds that Pokémon are easier to relate to than people. To people, she keeps her true emotions to herself. She offers sympathy to people but never lets them offer her any. Rane always expresses a calm form and hates to trouble anyone with her problems. She never cries, thinking it is a form of weakness that shouldn't be revealed to others. However, around her Pokemon, Rane allows them to see her true feelings, not afraid to let them know her fears for she knows she can trust them with her life.
