Finally the rain had eased as Archie bid farewell to the hospitality of ranger Rick and set off on the path of route 1. The sun was shining brightly and drying everything out nicely as Archie began his journey through the route, eager to embrace the journey ahead dreaming of what could be. Buzzing in a circle around him was Archie's new friend and companion Yanma, the Pokémon that the friendly ranger had given to him back at the station. “Well Yanma, ready to show what you can do?” Archie motioned as he glanced over his shoulder at his attentive yet seemingly excitable travel companion whom seemed to buzz with delight at the idea of getting to show off. “Okay lets have a look over here then!” Archie continued as he walked into a particular patch of tall grass and inspected through each part carefully.

Seedot was sick and tired of it all.
Every day, he watched his friends nabbed by the stupid trainers starting out their journey in this very area. Why couldn't they switch directions, go bother somebody else for a change? Now, of course, this Pokémon knew nothing about life as a tame Pokemon, but his current view on their lifestyle was very negative. They sucked up to their trainers and became more like slaves than true companions, always forced to fight. Well, he wasn't going to stand for it anymore!
So, when he meandered onto the path only to come across a trainer and it's seemingly content Yanma, his eyes narrowed. No. He wasn't going to let them go any further! If they didn't turn back, he was going to... he would... actually, he had no further plans. But all the same, they had to go!
Positioning himself in their path, he frowned up at them, trying to look menacing. Now, all this really did was induce an adorable angry expression, but you had to give him the points for trying, right? <You're not going any further, mister,> he said bluntly.

Archie noticed the Seedot jump in the path in front of him and pulling some sort of, scrunched up expression.
“Aww look at that, you trying to pull a scary face there lil guy?” Archie remarked with a boyish smile at the little pokemon, all the while Yanma being inquisitive hovered around the Seedot as if to be measuring it up for something.
<Don’t mind him, he just gets a bit excitable when he sees new a potential new friend> Yanma remarked as he continued to buzz around the Seedot, seemingly trying its best to block there path. <So what's up with you? Why so serious?> Yanma questioned remembering the initial remark of the Seedot as it had made its presence known, all the while, Archie looked on slightly baffled to what he merely heard to be buzzing constantly coming from Yanma.

<F-f-friend? Oh, kid, you got it all wrong. I refuse to be any sort of friend with the likes of him.> The Seedot replied with angst, sending dagger sharp glares in the direction of the excitable human. How many of these 'new trainers' he had seen, having the very same characteristics. Brainwashers! That's what they were, and he would not tolerate it!
<For that, both of you will pay! By fighting you, I'm making a statement against all trainers. Leave Wild Pokemon ALONE.> He cried dramatically, flailing his two feet into the air as if he was trying to prove a point by kicking it. Thinking over the attacks he knew, he paused for a moment, realizing that she had no direct physical attacks. Oh well, what trainer could resist a battle?
Starting things off, he went into a calm, tranquil state. The trees, the wind, the sun, and even the smells all around him seemed to melt into one being. In this state meditation, a Bide was being used.

Yanma began to buzz aggressively as the Seedot had chosen to fight, which gave Archie the sign that the Seedot wasn't friendly and had no intention of coming along quietly.
Musing on the moves that Yanma had, and knowing full well the consequence, the headstrong Archie decided to have Yanma attack anyway it was a risk, but what else could he do at this stage?
"Yanma unleash your tackle attack!" Archie said as convincingly as he could

As he calmly bided his time, the Seedot daydreamed about the good he was about to do for the Pokemon world. When he was through with it, there would be no more pesky trainers getting in the way of his life! No, sir! Heck, things were going to change around here; this little guy was going to make sure of it. He wasn't that strong, admittedly, but he figured (rather foolishly) that his determination would more than make up for lack of physical strength. He could get a good hit in once he concentrated for a little. But the downside of that? Most Pokemon could get two or three hits on him before he was ready to attack.
<That Yanma doesn't look too tough!> he thought, in an attempt to psych himself up for battle. Just a little while longer, and he'd unleash his awesome power on that stupid bug! He'd sent it's trainer fleeing from the route in terror, without a companion to protect him! He'd make justice! He'd-
Ouch.
The Yanma slammed into him with a tackle, knocking the seed Pokemon off balance. He rolled a little on his side before leaning heavily to right himself. Angry though he was, it wasn't like he could retaliate just yet. No, he was not ready. So, with a slight sigh, he attempted to relax himself once more, biding his time.

Yanma had landed an excellent tackle attack and managed to knock the Seedot off balance, buzzing back into position in a showy display. "Good work Yanma, now hit it again! Once more give it your Tackle attack!" Archie said with a stern yet proud tone, he didn't really have a choice but to keep pressing the attack. He knew full well the consequences of bide, but Yanma didn't really know any tricks that would allow them to wait out the bide. So on with the attack they continued. Yanma uses Tackle

The tackle bowled Seedot over and the tiny acorn rolled once before coming to his feet. Oh he was angry. This damn trainer was just like all the others! Attacking wild pokémon, making them into slaves! He wouldn't stand for it.
Seedot's bide was reaching its peak and that final tackle had done it. Bide was a move that usually went underestimated by Trainers and their tame pokémon. Well! Not this time! Seedot would show them them just how devastating the move could be.
Standing as tall as he could; which, let's be honest, was at a remarkably tiny height, Seedot allowed the stored energy from the attacks he had sustained to explode from his small, nut shaped body. He ached a little from taking the tackles in the first place, but he had to in order to retaliate... right?

The Yanma buzzed in pain as it felt the energy rip at its wings and torso, the buzz sounding more like a high pitched alarm siren as the Seedot landed its powerful bide attack.
Who would believe such a little thing, could possess such power?
"Yanma!" Archie yelled out as he ran to its side. The guilt of putting his Pokemon into the inevitably painful situation struck as his normally tan complexion turned a drip white. Archie wanted to stop this fight and reached into his pocket to pull out Yanma's Poke ball, but the Yanma raised up in front of him and buzzed defiantly.
It quickly turned in the air despite the injuries and all the pain that was searing through its body, focusing at the Seedot once more as if to be signifying for one last push.
<I'll protect my trainer to my last breath, one more round!> Yanma buzzed, moving itself into a readied position.
"If you are sure Yanma, lets do this together!" Archie pronounced stepping forward and pointing his finger at the Seedot. "Yanma give it another Tackle attack!"

[Bit short, sorry, I have to leave]
<For justice!> the little seed cried triumphantly as his Bide landed a successfully strong hit on the enemy Yanma. It looked weakened, and this was a sign of a winning fight. Seedot expected it's trainer to give up and run for it, never to be seen on route one again, but apparently he underestimated his foes. The Yanma buzzed defiantly, and it's trainer commanded it to make another move to tackle.
Seedot didn't know how much more damage he could take. He was already losing his own energy, and quite rapidly for that matter. But still, he only knew one move, and that move required him to take the damage before he could dish it out in return. So he allowed the Tackle to slam into him, grunting in pain but trying his best to absorb the attack into himself, feel it's power.

Archie noticed that Seedot had gone back into bide once more, knowing that Yanma had been badly roughed up from the last bide, he decided to try a more defensive approach this time around.
Moving over to Yanma, he pulled out a vial from his pocket and popped off the top with his thumb, pouring the liquid contained within over Yanma. Yanma began to glow and feel rejuvenated from the action, the battle damage seemingly fading away into nothingness.
Yanma buzzed with renewed vigor signifying being ready for anything Seedot could throw at him.

Seedot blinked as the Yanma was covered in some sort of bright liquid from a vial the human had withdrawn, and Seedot began to shudder as the wounds from Seedot's various Bides healed right before his eyes. Glowering darkly, he felt his last vestiges of hope fade. He was out of luck this time. Still, he had waited long enough and gathered sufficient energy, and so released the burst of black spheres, propelling them towards the Trainer's Yanma with breathtaking speed. This was likely going to be his final attack, so he put everything into this final burst of energy. It occurred to he, however, that he hadn't taken any damage, so this attack would do almost no damage to the Yanma. Seedot groaned in despair as the energy flew towards Yanmna Seedot unleashed energy!

Yanma took the hit and stumbled backwards, barely managing to stay airborne. It was true that the bide was indeed a powerful attack, but this time it lacked the punch of the first because of Archie's choice to hold back. Buzzing menacingly Yanma made it clear he was ready to finish this fight, as he stared at his worthy opponent with what seemed to be a look of anticipation. < Not all trainers want to capture us and treat us like brainwashed slaves, just like neither of us wanted to fight you, but you didn't give us much of a choice> Archie looked at Yanma, then once more at the Seedot, when the little acorn had wandered into there path never for a moment did he think that it would end in a battle that would be this testing, the little Seedot really had something special and it was such a shame that things had to come to this. "Okay Yanma, end it quickly, give it one more Tackle attack!" Archie bellowed with a certain conviction that carried a hint of sorrow. Yanma used tackle attack!

Seedot let out a cry of horror as the huge bug soared at him and slammed, headfirst into the Seedot's tiny body. He was launched into the air, back-flipped several times, and landed painfully in the air, throwing up a cloud of dust as he skidded to a halt on the trunk of a tree.
Trying to stand up, he found his tiny legs unable to support his suddenly heavy body, and slumped to the ground, eyes closed as he began a much needed rest.

Archie felt compassion for the brave little Seedot as it lay motionless on the ground. Feeling it was his duty to nurse the Seedot back to health, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a Pokeball. Squeezing the button lightly, the tiny ball grew to full size as Archie clenched the ball tightly with his right hand, looking at the still motionless Seedot. "You are a brave Lil fighter, I don't want you to see this as me capturing you against your will, I want you to be part of a team of friends. Once you are back on your feet, if you don't wanna come with us, I'll let you go" Archie stated as he walked over to the Seedot and lightly tapped the Pokeball against it triggering the capture mechanism. removed

Seedot felt a warm light envelop him, and with a flash of scarlet light, he was in a darkened, comfortable place. It didn't feel bad at all. It was like a soft, comfy bed, and he snuggled down and fully gave up on staying conscious. The ball didn't even shudder once before the red light at the center dimmed, and the Seedot settled down to listen.
