Arcane gave a sigh, knowing Uxie would be impossible to talk to. He just hoped that Chris could beat it.
Abel was sent flying hard against a tree, letting out a cry as he was hit. This wasn't going to stop him though, so he attacked with Ember once more.

Uxie didn't move. Muscles tightened, it allowed the flames to burn it, preferring to stay still rather than needlessly exert energy. This time, the jewel on it's head glowed white. Special Defense was raised at the expense of a piece of useless information.

((IRONY!!))
Just then, the Future Sight collided hard with Abel, sending him back into the tree again. "Don't give up Abel! Use Smokescreen!" Chris commanded. Thick black smoke was breathed out, obscuring any vision.

Uxie flew backwards, away from the cloud. Eyes perpetually closed, the thick black smoke now covering the makeshift battlefield did little more than smell unpleasant. A smug grin spread across it's face, as it waited for Abel to make another move.

Giving a sigh, Chris knew that the Smokescreen didn't affect Uxie. But that didn't really matter with what he had planned. "Okay Abel, use Moonlight!" he commanded. The Charmeleon did as he was told, restoring his HP with the power of the moon.

Tails twitching, Uxie began to feel sleepy. Glowing a strange blue, it yawned daintily, trying to lure Abel into yawning as well.
ooc - wow that was short. >< sorry.

Uxie's yawn was quickly followed by a yawn from Abel. "No, don't go to sleep!" Chris yelled. "Use Scratch!" Abel sleepily ran forward and tried to scratch Uxie.

Feeling the Charmeleon's sharp claws tear into it's flesh, Uxie couldn't help but utter a small cry of pain. It reeled backwards, lashing out at Abel with it's tails. A few droplets of blood fell to the ground.
Uxie didn't say a word, or make a move.

Being whipped by the tails, Abel fell back slightly. Meanwhile, Chris could feel a little trickle of blood creeping down his back. Noticing Abel had the same cut, Chris commanded for another Moonlight. But while Abel's wound healed, Chris' didn't. Which meant that his condition was even worse now.

Uxie's expression softened considerably, picking up on Chris' pain with it's sensitive psychic powers. <You suffer greatly> it murmured, ceasing the confusion attack it had been charging.

"Yeah, I know" Chris told the Uxie, kneeling down while Arcane looked at his back. Meanwhile, Abel had stopped battling to try to take care of Chris as well. To him, Chris was more important than battling a legendary Pokemon.

In a rare display of emotion usually reserved for it's sibling, Mesprit, Uxie allowed the faintest hint of a smile to creep across it's face. <You care for each other very much. I'm sorry. I did not know...> Nodding to itself, it floated backwards, away from them.

Looking over at Uxie, Chris said "Yes, we do care about each other. It's the way I've always been with Pokemon." Getting up, he walked over to Uxie and gave the Pokemon a hug, crying tears of ever so slight joy.

Uxie didn't move, dangling limply in the trainer's arms. It had never been hugged before, and didn't know how it felt about the new sensation. As much as it knew, emotional crap was hardly it's forte.
<I.. I see now. I will help you.>

Giving a grateful smile, Chris removed himself from Uxie and sat down. "Alright, could you start with who caused the fire in my hometown and who was responsible for me losing my memories?" he asked.

Uxie folded it's arms across it's chest, expression tightening. <Team Death was to blame for that... One of their leaders decided to frighten the rest of the world by sacrificing a town. The fire was started by the admins and executives, and their fire pokemon.> Uxie could see it clearly, the vision in it's mind never fading.

Chris seemed horrified by this sudden information. "But...why did it have to be Fortree?" he asked. "And why did they come after me after that to erase my memories? Wasn't my parent's lives enough for them?"

<They were afraid. They're cowards, after all. They didn't want anybody coming after them.> It's monotone voice was soothing to the nerves, as it hovered closer to Chris.

Completely beside himself with sadness, Chris began to cry harder than he had ever done in his entire life. Arcane and Abel came closer to him, giving him a hug to calm him down. <It's alright Chris, it's okay> Arcane told him. <We'll get over this. And one day, maybe we'll take revenge on them. Once I get my full power back.>

Uxie's expression didn't change. All it could do was stare at the trainer. <I'm sorry.> it murmured, shaking it's head. <I told you you didn't want to know.>
