"Ssssssiiiiiiigh...." The girl was awfully bored. She'd taken a side trip to Verona City, to do some shopping and look at the sights. Unfortunately, she wasn't that interested in sightseeing in the first place. She got tired pretty quickly, and flopped down in the park to rest. Her quilava, one of her closest friends and allies, lay curled up next to her on the bench. He was easy-going and managed to fall asleep quickly, whereas she usually took half an hour.
Now, at the sound of her breathing out dramatically, he looked up. He couldn't speak to her, but his expression was questioning. "Nuthin', George. I'm just a little bit... exasperated. I wish something exciting would happen." She stood up, taking a few steps forward. Nothing exciting happened. She rolled her eyes, taking another step, and plummeted to the ground after tripping over a root.
"Auuuuugh!" |

::sierra:: < Sierra Catalynn! ) Sierra was running at full speeds on the sidewalk, so fast she could feel her hair trailing in the wind. Her signature pikachu hat only stayed atop her head because she was clinging to it with her left hand, pumping the other as she ran. She and Nevoa were in a race, and she wasn't in the mood to allow herself to be beaten at one of her favorite hobbies. "Woohooo!!!" She shouted, knowing she was far in front of her brown-haired friend.
It was then that she saw Lyra sprawled on the ground. Sierra's clumsiness nearly got the better of her at that moment, but she managed to make a clean hop over the brown haired girl's body. She manage to skid to a halt a few yards away from Lyra, and walked quickly back to the fallen girl. "A-are you okay??" She asked, not sure if she should help her up or if she was trying to swim on the sidewalk or something. Then she remembered Nevoa was coming this way. It was probably too late, though.

Was steam rolling behind Sierra but the girl in front of her was much faster then her. Why did I agree to this! I said I'd never race her again! Oh gosh my lungs... Wait whats that ahead...? Her brown eyes stared blankly at the scene before her but made no registration of it. It wasn't until she could cleanly make out the color of Sierra's blue shoes did she think so maybe, stop her legs from moving. Too late.
Nevoa came barreling through, tripping over the fallen girl right towards Sierra. If the girl managed to move out of the way then a lovely, oh so soft concrete sidewalk would be the pillow for her now rapidly dropping body and face. Well this is a perfect start to an introduction, don't you say?

There was not enough time for Sierra to maneuver out of the way of Nevoa's tripping body. The moment seemed to pass in slow-motion as Sierra fell backward with Nevoa falling down with her, as if they were together one domino being pushed down. An unceremonious crash to the hard sidewalk was what met the gray-haired girl's back, but luckily her Pokémon hat cushioned the fall of her head. What hurt was when Nevoa fell on her. "Owwie.." Said Sierra, then remembered that she'd been racing the brown-haired girl atop her. "Oh, hey, I won! Yesss!" She pumped her fists in the air to celebrate her win.
Then she remembered the nameless girl that was probably still sprawled on the sidewalk. Hopefully Nevoa's fall hadn't reached her, too, else she would've been even more hurt.

She didn't have time to pick herself up off the ground. Just as she was about to roll over so she could climb to her feet, somebody hopped over her. She gulped and cowered on the ground, trying not to move so as not to rise up to meet their feet. "A-are you okay??" She shakily lifted herself off the concrete. "Y-yeah, I'll be..." There was a dull thud as shoe hit Lyra's flesh. The person who tripped over her barrelled into the other girl, and they both fell over. The air left her body as the new arrival fell unceremoniously on her back.
George, who had been observing that whole time, rushed over and began trying to pull his trainer out from underneath the wreckage. |

Nevoa let out a short eep before she landed on top of Sierra. She too muttered out an 'owwie' and she started to push herself off the ground... Only to be punched in the face by Sierra's victory, flying punches. "OWWWW!"
Nev sat up to the side of the mess of a collision, eyes clenched shut and hands on her now bleeding nose. Opening one brown, watering eye she watched as the others untangled their blurry shapes. "Well some -ow- race that was.... We even had -ow- a finish line... body... No offense. Sorry for -ow- running you over and all.... -ow-" Nev tried to get that out at least. Her nose could very well be broken and her voice was all funky. Well phooey. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

Sierra heard a distinct crunch from the direction of Nevoa's face and realized it was her fault for waving her arms around. "Ack!! I'm really sorry! Are you okay!?" She sat herself up, trying to look at Nevoa's bleeding nose and see if it was, in actuality, broken. "I couldn't have hit it that hard.." She muttered, because it's true psh kimmie.
At Nevoa's remark, however, she laughed hard. "Finish line body?! Hahaha, that's priceless!" Laughed Sierra, clapping her hands together. Then, as if the joke had given her a sudden idea, she turned and reached into her purse. "Hmm, lemme see... maybe a Potion will fix your nose?" She suggested, pulling one out and showing it to Nevoa. The serious look on her face showed that her suggestion was one of utter seriousness.

"It's, um... it's okay..." She pushed herself up off the ground, sitting on her knees. Then she looked over. One girl's nose was bleeding. Before she could say anything, she was interrupted. "Hmm, lemme see... maybe a Potion will fix your nose?" Lyra looked at Sierra skeptically.
"Uh. I think that only works with pokemon..." Her voice trailed off at the end. Personally, she wasn't sure. If it worked with Pokemon, why not humans? But then, why did they still have so many diseases if it worked on humans? She mentally shrugged off the question, then started tearing through her bookbag. She pulled out a box of tissues. "This is all I really have, sorry. You should probably get that looked at or else it'll set all wrong." |

Nevoa, at Sierra's worry, lifted her hands away from her nose so the younger girl could take a look at it. "Is it... broken?"
She asked hesitant but her answer wasn't something she was expecting. A potion... In the face? Brown eyes tried to read the girl's face but all she could see was complete and utter seriousness. "Errrrr..." Was all she could say but was saved from more humiliation by the girl she had tripped over. A smile formed on her face as she took a tissue or two and help them to her nose in an attempt to stop the bleeding. "Thanks." She looked over at Sierra with a guilty smile. "Sorry, I'm not taking one of those." She laughed slightly and gave the two trainers before her a sorry glance. This wasn't in her to do list that morning. Not that she had one though but if she did it sure wasn't going to be on there. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

Sierra turned towards Lyra as she gave a reason against using the Potion. Only works with pokemon? But.. but potions have magical powers! Disbelieving, the girl raised the potion to her face and looked on the back, where the ingredients and warnings were always found. One sentence stood out: Caution. Do not use on human skin. The realization caused a change in the young girl's face from disbelief to shock, and she shoved the potion into her purse, laughing pathetically. "Ahaha... let's pretend I never offered.." She said, smiling guiltily.
Then she remembered once again that she'd nearly tripped over someone, and she turned to that someone, minding her manners. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What's your name?" She questioned toward Lyra. "I'm Sierra. You can call her Nevoa." She explained, gesturing towards her trusted friend and giving a kind smile. "And.. uh.. why were you on the ground, before?" Sierra continued, baffled as to Lyra's earlier odd position. People usually didn't lay injured on the sidewalks..

Er... "Ehh, my name's Lyra. Nice to meet you... though the circumstances could have been better." She gave a sheepish laugh, grinning awkwardly. She wasn't really hurt, just a little bruised. Her fall might have hurt more if she'd had shorts on, but the way she'd dressed that morning had saved her. "And.. uh.. why were you on the ground, before?"
Why had she been on the ground again? "I think I tripped." She looked over her shoulder, spotting the stray root that had caused her to go tumbling. "Oh, yeah." A sudden realization hit her. "Hey, are you guys trainers?" |

Nevoa gave a slightly worried laugh as Sierra tossed the potion back in her bag. She didn't want to read what the bottle said. Subconsciously however she knew that she would look later at her hotel room. It wasn't instant death right? Or maybe loss of limbs? Nev lost sense of reality as she thought of the possible conditions that a potion could do to her.
At Sierra's voice she once more started paying attention. At the sound of her name she gave a short wave with her free hand, her other holding the slowly color changing tissues. As the two continued to talk, the nineteen year old couldn't help but laugh in a good heart-ed way when she heard the girl had tripped. Least until she remember that she had tripped to, that stopped her pretty quick.
At the sound of Lyra asking if Sierra and her were trainers, she beamed and nodded. "We both are. I can already guess that you are since I bet that pokemon there is yours."
She made a gesture at George. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

Sierra took a glance the same time as Lyra did and saw the root that looked a little bent, then laughed as she realized that it was most likely the thing that the strange girl had tripped over. "Well, it happens to all of us," She answered, giving a light-hearted grin.
"Yeah," Sierra agreed, since Nevoa had already answered for both of them. She took a quick glance at the flaming Pokémon and ripped out her pokedex to analyze it, a bright and excited look on her face. She loved storing information so much.

"Cool. Can I see some of your Pokemon?" She wasn't looking to battle, she was just curious what these other trainers used. She hadn't actually run into any others since she'd become a trainer, so this was a new experience for her. She pulled a pokeball off her belt and released one of hers. A steel-type bird pokemon appeared, taller than her by several inches. She reached up to stroke its metallic beak, and it rubbed up against her.
"This is Red, and there closer to the ground is George." The "one closer to the ground" harrumphed. |

Nevoa grinned and whipped out her own pokedex to investigate the new Pokémon before her. Though she probably did it in a much more causal way then Sierra. Once she heard the description of both of Lyra's pokemon, she opened up her side bag and rummaged through, pulling two pokeballs out herself.
The balls grew in her hand as she pressed the button, and then after holding the button, each opened in a wash of red light. The two Pokémon were quite different in height and body structure.
The first was a purple blob that "jiggled" in the middle of the sidewalk. It was roughly a foot tall and stared blankly at the two humans before it that it had never met. "This is Adagio, my ditto. He was my first Pokémon actually."
The second Pokémon that stood before the musician however was much taller, being almost 4 feet tall. It was an Absol, and if one knew their Absol they would notice that this one had a red hue to it. "This boy here is Elegy, my Absol." She grinned as she looked between the two. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

/// At the sight of all these new Pokémon in front of her, Sierra nearly jumped out of her shoes with excitement. "Woah! So many cool Pokémon!" She exclaimed, mouth slightly agape. Feeling her mouth open with no pocky or lollipops inside of it, she quickly reached inside of her purse to remove a mint-flavored stick and inserted it inside.
She grinned and cleared her throat. "Just wait till you see mine," She announced, turning and removing three pokeballs from her bag. A click of the button and she enlarged them, then removed them from her fingers with a toss. They descended to the ground and unleashed three of her buddies - Seryl, Pascal and Keitan.
Seryl looked up, rubbing his eyes as they adjusted to the light of the world outside his capsule. Looking up, he saw two girls and several strange pokemon, besides his trainer. Clearing his throat, he greeted them. <Hey. You can call me Seryl.>
Pascal shook himself after getting out of the pokeball, his muscles having ached to have been in that thing for a few hours. After cracking his neck a few times, he noticed there were a few new faces to be seen. Grinning, he raised a paw. <Yo. I don't know exactly what's going on, but my name's Pascal.>
Keitan was laying on the ground looking as if he were in pain after being released, his tummy rumbling. He hadn't seen food in a while. Looking around, he discovered a few broken pieces of metal inside the ground. Looking toward the Absol, Ditto, Skarmory, and Quilava, he bowed his head slightly. <Call me Keitan. I have a little matter to attend to,> He said dismissively, turning back toward his treasure and bending down to crunch the metal, savoring the flavors.
Sierra smiled as she looked down at her Pokémon. "That one's Seryl, he's Pascal, and the Aron is Keitan." She pointed out happily. "Aren't they adorable? I fell in love with them at first sight!" She said excitedly.
