<To late now!> The glameow's attack was lowered by Growl, yes, but it didnt matter to her. Opening her jaws, she would attempt to Bite down into the Starly as he came at her. Natural cat instincts were taking over, and it would take a miracle to stop her -- and Hikari sure wasn't doing anything. In fact, said girl was standing a few feet away, holding her newly captured Oddish in her arms. She was actually deciding whether to keep the weed on her team and train it or put it in storage which consisted of sending it back to The Higurashi Reserve where all members with the last name 'Higurashi' and had kinship sent their Pokémon which was way back in Mahogany Town.

<Eep!> the Starly let out a squeal of fright as he realized he was flying into the Glameow's gaping mouth. The little bird couldn't stop himself as the jagged teeth close around his little body. Pain lanced through him as he quickly retreated before more pain could be brought upon him. Fear pulsed through the Starly and he tried to fly away from the fight. However, right when he turned around, his neck muscles twitched and the Starly whirled back around, a new, angry glint in his eyes. <You've done it now punk!>he screeched in fury, flapping his wings in a challenging manner. He let out another intimidating Growl attack. Suddenly, he had another spasm and fear replaced his anger filled eyes. The Starly began to back away fearful. <Erm, I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"he stammered before another spasm made him twitch and the anger returned. <Take this fool!>the Starly cawed darting towards the Glameow at an alarming speed, readying for the impact. The starly was starting to get on her nerves. The starly had removed himself from her grasp and had used Growl to once more lower her attack and to also come in for another attack. Sitting on her hind legs, she waited till the Starly was just within reach of using Quick Attack. Using her paws, she would attempt to clamp them on the sides of his head to stop his attack from hitting and to also allow her to use Bite at close range -- which she would then attempt to do by aiming for his eyes. Morbid kitty is morbid. Hikari, once again, watched on.

The Glameow was fast, but the Starly was pretty fast too! As he plunged forward the black and white bird swung its wings at the closest they could go to 90 degree angles, and rocketed in to hit the Glameow the speeding tackle of a quick attack. He slammed full force into it, but not before the cat had grabbed him, and moved to try to bite his eyes. The quick bird ducked, and moved quick enough to not get it's eyes removed, but not so quick that it could do anything to stop the bite. It tried to rush forward with another quick attack, but all it could think to do or muster to do was jerk back, flinching in fear. The cyandaquil pokemorph girl and her cat pokemon could choose to take this accident for the bonaza that it was, or could faltered and deal with the irate starling pokemon. ::Starly:: Hit by Bite, Flinched.

The glameow was hit by the Quick Attack, but it would not diter her from her mission to ultimatly eat this friggin Starly so they could get to the city. As her jaws snapped close, her paws still firmly on its face, she would attempt to fall left and slam it into the ground in a rather hard fashion. If this worked, she would scramble to her paws and leap back, and then wait to see what the Starly would do next. The oddish in Hikari's arms began to now rest much like Misty had held Togepi in her arms most of the series, watching the battle unfurl.

The Starly chirped loudly in surprise as the Quick Attack came on him. His anger rising again he Growled loudly at the Glameow then he quickly covered his beak with his mouth. <Oh, I'm so sorry!> Then he thought again before the scowl came back. He then flew at the cat Pokemon in a full body Tackle.

The Tackle was taken as she couldnt move fast enough. Sliding back a bit, she hissed and would make a sharp turn to attempt and Bite the starly once more somewhere in either the neck or side. She was getting tired of all these damn interruptions. She was tired -- and she was seriously going to black out if they didnt get to a Pokémon center soon. If her teeth connected, she would Bite in harder then she had the last time. She would make the starly pay for making a mockery out of her! Do I have to tell you what Hikari was doing?

Cleo's Bite was dodged and now the thing had the audacity to want to kill her? @#$#@ please. <We'll see about that.> Cleo responded. As the bird began is descent into a bullet almost, the cat's tail unfurled, whipping the ground in the process. She would swing her body around and attempt to curl her tail around the bird's body, tightly. If this worked, she would move onto her hind paws and become like a tornado almost and attempt to send him flying like a rocket clear across the forest. However, if this all failed, she would be struck with Quick Attack and would be sent sliding over to her trainer.

The Starly snorted at his success, knocking the Cat having knocked the grey-blue cat with its quick attack, that was great! There was only one solution to deal with the bonaza he had been dealt. The starling pokemon hopped to and fro, and then charged in for another quick attack. It was far less calculated than the other, as he figured a success would follow a success. ::starly:: Used Quick Attack.

Cleo was hit by the Quick Attack. She knew she was on her last leg (in a philisophical way) and she needed to heal soon. She looked to her trainer who nodded. Leaping back over to Hikari's side, the pokemorph pulled out a potion with one hand and sprayed it upon the cat's coat. Hopefully they could get more in town. Putting the empty bottle in her bag, Hikari stood up, still holding the oddish as Cleo lept forward, her face dangerously close to the starly. (x1 potion used.)

The starly was finally starting to feel the attacks, he wasn't quite down yet but he was starting to get a bit winded. He was glad that the trainer stopped attacking him, and she decided to heal her glameow. The way the potion healed the wounds made him feel a bit guilty.
<"Oh, I'm sorry...but die!"> All trace of remorse left him as he went in for a tackle. He flew one wing towards the glameow in an attempt to side-swipe it with his wing.
::Starly:: Mood: Crazy Starly attempts to Tackle the glameow!

Cleo saw the wing coming. Bracing herself, she opened her jaws wide and would attempt to Bite down into the wing which, if worked, would push her back onto her back, but she would clamber to her paws, holding the Starly by the wing firmly in her jaws. She would then attempt to put one paw on the Starly and unsheath her claws to dig into his feathery hide. Cleo had had enough. If this didnt work, she would recieve a slice to the cheek from the Tackle, causing blood to appear, in which she would turn her head to watch him fly past.

Starly screeched and struggled as the Glameow's claws sank into his right wing, causing intense nerve damage and making it near impossible for Starly to fly. >OW! Why would you do that?!< shrieked the little starling as he stood on the ground, holding his injured wing with his uninjured one, eyes brimming with tears. Then another change came over him, and he hissed. >You're gonna pay for that!< Taking a running jump he glided towards the Glameow, not quite able to get the speed for a Quick Attack as he tried to slam his body into the Glameow. ::starly:: Starly is weakening. Starly used Tackle. [/B]

Cleo took the Starly head-on, getting the impact of a Tackle, but not fully as this Starly was weakening apparently. <Would you shut up already? You're seriously annoying!> Cleo hissed. Still at close range, she would attempt to Bite into his shoulder, hopefully causing more damage. If this didnt work, she would leap away and begin darting around the Starly at high speeds to confuse him, and then come in for another close-range Bite attack. Hikari only watched the spectacle. She knew the Starly was getting weak -- and if she caught it, it might never fly properly again...but that was a price she was willing to take.

Starly
Really Weakening. Catch/Battle? Hit by Bite. Flinched.
[li] <M-Me? Annoying?> The Starly whimpered finding that to be a very, very low blow. He was lucky that the Glameow wasn't very strong, or that those teeth of hers weren't very sharp when it came to his buffed body. Yet the appearance altogether always made him jump in fright, as if he was expecting some kind of great pain from the battle. [/li][li] Then the teeth sank in him, and he couldn't help but squeak from the pain. His head was getting light, and suddenly he wanted to throw up. He was taking a lot of damage, and his weakness was showing. Perhaps to the point of being even more delirious than he usually was. [/li][li] <I spite your children's children! Yo' momma! Yo' daddeh! And yo' daddy's daddy! Repent! Evil! Evil! Die! You will be my prey!> The bird cackled, raising his wings up wildly into the air, apparently having plenty of strength to rant while he was stuck flinching. [/li][/ul][/font]

It was time. As the Starly took to the sky in a awkward way, Cleo looked back to Hikari with slanted eyes. Hikari eventually pulled out a pokeball after rummaging through her bag. Clicking the button to make it bigger, she threw back her arm and tossed it towards the Starly as high as she could. Damn thing had a mouth on it, at least to Cleo. If they added this thing to their team, she would need to assert her dominance. Sitting down, Cleo licked her chest fur to smooth it down from the fighting that had just taken place. Aloi on the other hand was going at the memories flooding back to her of her capture only a hour ago at least. As for the pokeball, it just continued...spinning... (x1 pokeball used)

<What you got punk? What you-?>the last squawk of defiance from the Starly was cut short as the Pokeball hit him, sucking him into its depths. Sparks began to fly, piercing the Starly, who cried out in pain. He tried to struggle out of the Pokeball, but all his strength had left him. One last struggle was all he had left until he gave up. The Pokeball's sparks began to disappear and a faint red hue glowed at the center, indicating that the Starly was now trapped in its confines. You caught a Starly! "...I caught it." Hikari had to say it to herself just to take in what had just happened. Letting her Oddish move into her bag and Cleo onto her shoulders, she picked up the pokeball gently. This was going to be one hell of a journey--- crap. Where were they supposed to go next?! Without further ado, the girl took off, holding the pokeball close to her in hope she would get to the next city in time...she was already beginning to go insane from all these crazy Pokémon...seriously! -HIKARI EXIT-
