Traversing over the rocky stream was none other then the cyndaquil pokemorph known as Hikari. Unaware to the situation gripping this region, the girl went with no particular goal set in her mind. Just being away from her parents and friends for a while was enough for her. Reaching the other side of the river, the girl proceeded to look around. It wasnt a dense forest, but a forest nonetheless. "Nyarrm." Hikari's blue gaze rested upon her current partner, whom she had dubbed Cleopatra, Cleo for short. Said partner was streched out over Hikari's shoulders, her eyes half-hooded. "We'll get through soon and hopefully reach the next city...i just wish I had a inkling as to which direction the city was..." Hikari sighed. "Nyaaaaaaaaaaar." The glameow meowed. Leaping from her trainer's shoulders, the glameow began to move forward. "You know the way?" "Nyaaaaaaaaaaar!" The glameow meowed. Hikari shrugged and followed her cat into the tall grass. The only thing visible was the cat's spiraled tail that was standing straight up. During this time, Hikari began to look around, her eyes taking in the sights.

::Oddish:: Oddish was afraid! There was some kind of big predator around, and they ate weed pokemon didn't they? Big cats, big cats, scaaary! The blue and green weedling waddle-ran out of the tall grass, and then darted back to get back towards it. "Oooddddddddddiiiiiiiissssssshhhhhhh, ooooooodddddddddddddddiiiiiiiiisshhhhh, oddish!" Oh no, a trainer, a trainer, a trainer! Darting to and fro, little oddish did go! ::Oddish:: Appeared!

Okay maybe she was seeing things or was that a Oddish? Stopping in midstride, Hikari stared at the little weed Pokémon that ran past. As a fire-type, she burnt grass-types, which meant this thing was most likely in trouble...well not really. As for Cleo...The cat's eyes widened and her butt began to wiggle. Finally the cat sprang, with claws unsheathed, going straight for the weed. Oh great. Hikari wanted to stop her, but Cleo did need training...and it was a grass type. God she was morbid. Oh well! "Go get it, Cleo!" Hikari cheered as the cat's eyes danced with the thought of nomming on its leaves.

Oddish thought she had escaped the cat, and slowed to a trot in the hope that if she stayed at a normal pace, the cat would ignore her and go kill a Rattata or something. Unfortunately, that was not to be, and Oddish screamed in anguish as the Glameow's claws punctured her tender blue flesh, drawing blood that was more pink than red. Her natural defensive instincts kicking in, she released a sickly sweet scent accompanied by rose pink gas to lull the Glamreow into letting her go, before releasing a storm of emerald green orbs which zoomed towards the Glameow, trying to steal back the health it had taken. ::oddish:: Oddish used Sweet Scent and Absorb. The glameow was lulled into letting go of her prey by Sweet Scent. Backing up, taken by the sweet smelling gas, she didnt see the Absorb coming. "Cleo!" Hikari screeched. The cat caterwauled in agony as she attempted to get free. Eventually, she began to slice outwards, attempting to set herself free from the orbs. If this would work, she would leap back, and let out a hiss. "Take care of it!" Hikari would scream. The cat would take off at a run towards the Oddish to perhaps pull it like she would a ball of yarn. If this worked, she would use her back claws to scratch it while holding it tightly with her front claws.

Cleo was diving towards the Oddish to strike. On the one hand, she would take a direct hit. However, she would be close enough for another attack!
<"Come here, kitty! Let me hug you real tight!"> said the Weed Pokémon as she braced herself for impact. She began to unleash another Sweet Scent attack as a precaution before Cleo actually made contact. Allowing her opponent to hit, she was held onto and cut at the same time. However, she pressed her leaves against the Glameow's fur and unleashed several green orbs around her body which began to drain the Catty Pokémon's life.
OOC: I feel like I'm godmodding a little... I'm tired. I'm sorry if I am.
(VS) Oddish used Sweet Scent on Cleo! Oddish was hit by Cleo's attack! Oddish used Absorb on Cleo!

The cat began to purr as Sweet Scent hit her again, but caterwauled as soon as Absorb began to suck her energy. Anger was brought on with the emotions raging through the kitten's body. Angry Cleo was angry! Unlatching herself from the Oddish, she would shake off the Absorb...and have a strange look in her eyes. Already panting from having her energy nearly drained, she would attempt to grab the oddish with her tail. If it worked, she would straighten it out and swirl around and around and then...WHAM! Instead of throwing it into the ground, she would send it flying through the air and into the forest. During all this, Hikari would just...stare. Her glameow was definatly mental.

The Oddish hopped frantically from foot to foot, glad to feel a little bit of extra energy pouring back into her from the Absorb. And it was this foot-hopping that saved her from the Glameow's slightly crazed attack. Gathering the energy for her largest jump yet, the Oddish leapt above the cat's whirling tail, thankfully not getting caught up into it. Unfortunately, she fell flat on her face. Not very smooth. But, as pain started to pulse uncomfortably over her face, the Oddish scrambled to her tiny little feet, before releasing a series of glowing green orbs, all ready to suck a part of the Glameow's energy from her.
::oddish:: Dodged! Used ABSORB!

"Crap." Hikari would say, gritting her teeth. "To me!" Hikari ordered. The glameow quickly lept out of the way, dodging Absorb, though not by much. Pulling out a potion from her back, Hikari began to spray the cat, hopefully it would restore some of her energy. The cat shivered. It was painful, but it was helping. Re-energized, Hikari put the empty bottle into her bag to dispose of later. The cat then turned, taking off towards the Oddish. However, she would stop, eyeing her opponent. The oddish was surely taking damage -- seriously, Cleo just wanted to eat the damn thing. Or send it flying anyway. (x1 Potion used)

What was this nonsense? A sort of healing item? Now, that just wasn’t fair! Granted, the Oddish was using absorb to gain energy of its own, but… a potion just seemed cheap to the weed-like critter. But maybe… since the terrifying Glameow was busy… she could get away! Escape from this scary trainer and its equally terrible Pokemon!
Whilst Cleopatra was busy being sprayed, the small weed began to slip away into the bushes. Her retreat would have been more stealthy had she not been saying <Must be sneaky… must be quiet…> while she moved along.
::oddish:: Is sneaking away.

<Oh hell no!> The glameow hissed. Taking off at a run, she would bounce the last few steps before attempting to use Bite on the oddish by leaping into the air and pouncing on the Oddish that was trying to get away. Hikari on the other hand was just staring. Her pokemon had learned a new move...but she was also trying to kill the freakin weed. IT WAS A WEED. You could set its leaves on fire and get high off of them probably. That was why it was called the 'weed' pokemon right?

Unfortunately for the poor Oddish, Cleo still had the keen senses of a cat. The Catty Pokémon lunged at her and she was struck with a furious Bite attack. Cleo's teeth sunk into her soft flesh and caused her to cry out in pain. No matter how much health she managed to drain with Absorb, it wasn't enough to restore her to full health. Instead, she lost consciousness; her leaves drooped along with her state. All that was left was Hikari to decide what to do.
Oddish has fainted! Will you try to capture Oddish? (Y/N)

"Way to go Cleo!" Hikari bent down as the cat bounced over and into her arms. Cleo eventually climbed onto her shoulders, glaring at the beaten up oddish. Hikari felt bad. Perhaps if she caught it, and healed it, she could set it free then. It was the least she could do. Pulling out a pokeball from her bag, she noticed it spark a little. Raising a brow, she threw back her arm and tossed it into the air, attempting to aim it for the Oddish. Then again, if the Oddish wanted to be under her command, perhaps it could turn into a useful Pokémon. After all, Oddish could evolve into a Bellossom. (x1 Pokeball used.)

The Pokeball hit the unconscious Oddish on the head and sucked the Grass Pokemon into the Pokeball. At once, sparks began to envelope the Pokeball causing it to jerk abnormally as white sparks still spewed out every once in a while. Inside, the Oddish became awakened by the zapping sensation, letting out a squeal of pain as white hot electricity ran through his body. <Ow! Why didn't anyone tell me it hurts to be caputured!>he thought, gritting his against the pain.
The Pokeball wriggled and sparked like mad, before opening back up, releasing the Oddish from its bowels. The Oddish was super dizzy still, not to mention slightly shocked. The little Grass Pokemon's eyes became swirlies as he fell back into unconsciousness. The Pokeball had rolled back to the Trainer sparking a little less but still usable.
Caputer failed (due to power outage) Try again?

And here she was trying to help the damn thing! Frustration gripped the cyndaquil pokemorph. Gripping the pokeball, she noticed it was sparking. What the hell? Her attention turned back to the Oddish. Throwing back her arm, she would aim it towards the Oddish. The pokeball would spin through the air at a fast speed. As it spinned, Hikari's arm fell back down, but her mind wandered to the sparking of the pokeball. She had never seen it do that before...were they broke or something? Had the ranger given her some fowl pokeballs? Nah. The guy seemed nice enough, that couldnt be it...so what was going on? (x1 Pokeball re-used.)

Oh no not again! As the ball struck the little oddish panic raced through her. Trying to be caught once was bad enough...but again?. Helpless, the weed Pokémon could do nothing as she was converted into a red light and sucked into the pokeball. This time though she put up a real fight, determined to escape this time, before the ball shocked her horribly yet again. Pitching back and forth the ball was practically rolling about as the oddish gave her all to escape. She was so busy making her attempt in fact, that she didn't even notice that this time the balls sparking was at a bare minimum. For a moment she thought she felt the ball open a crack, was sure she could make her escape if she could just push a little bit more, but then her energy left her. Exhausted, defeated, and unable to keep finding, the oddish wearily accepted her fate. You got:Oddish Level: 4 Gender: female Personality: timid, easily scared Moves: sweet scent, absorb.

Hikari was unsure whether to leap for joy or pick up the thing and curse at it. Deciding neither, she walked forward to grab the pokeball in her hands. The sparking was setting her off, so turning the pokeball away from her, she opened it, allowing the weak oddish to come out. It was better then being in that spark-filled thing. Setting the pokeball away, she would bend down to pick up the oddish and hold it in her arms. "I guess we should head onwards, eh?" <No kidding.> Cleo yawned. Moving forward, Hikari headed through the tall grass, carrying the injured Oddish in her arms. Finally, she stopped and reached into her bag, pulling out a Potion. Carefully spraying it on the poor pokemon, she put the empty bottle away in her bag. Great, one left. The oddish seemed to perk up a little, but it was still exhausted, so for now, she would just hold it while they continued onwards. (x1 Potion used)

...what the hell. Hikari stopped, staring at the Starly that appeared. Cleo lept down in front of her trainer, eyes unamused. <Look pigeon, we need to get to town so move it!> The cat was in no mood to fight, but it was obvious she was agitated. The oddish in Hikari's arms stirred, slowly turning her head to look at the Starly. She let out a few sounds before burrowing her face into Hikari's shirt. Cleo let out a frustrated hiss, her claws unsheathing. <Move!> She demanded once more. This starly clearly had a problem. Cleo could tell at least that much -- but she didnt care at this point. She was getting hungry and sleepy and needed her beauty rest! (wait a moment. cleo defeated the oddish. doesnt she gain a level?)

OOC: She does. >N-no! P-please don't hurt me!< Starly flinched at the withdrawal of those terrifying claws. They looked wickedly sharp, and perfectly capable of tearing a young bird like him to pieces with little trouble. Shivering at the appearance of this natural enemy, his wise fear was unfortunately stopped by yet another series of muscle twitches in his neck, head and wings. >Bring it, bitch!< he chirped, before taking flight, letting out a less than intimidating cheep of a growl to lower the Glameow's attack before lunging at the Glameow in an attempt to throw his feathery bulk into her face. A moment later, he blinked for a brief second and saw where he was and what he was doing. Letting out a squeal of terror, he tried to change course, but it was much too late now. The Glameow would either counter, dodge or be hit. ::starly:: Starly used Growl and Tackle. [/B]
