gilbertbeilschmidt; who's gonna run my town tonight [!]
"Hey Carbon, you're being too fucking slow. Let's move!" The shout was heard across Route 1, as Gilbert dashed up the stone steps that lined the route. The Vulpix scoffed and Carbon, or so he was named, whined a little before padding along slowly behind. Gilbert had chosen to shed his coat, whitish skin only made lighter in the sun. He would not darken - He had no pigment in his skin, which made things much easier for him since he didn't really turn dark at all. Gilbert folded his arms crossly as he looked at the Vulpix in annoyance. Maybe if he evolved he'd become kickass, but until that day it didn't appear as though Carbon would be very compliant.
Carbon was feeling energized than most days - Summer meant the sun was out and strong and he was much stronger this way. However, it didn't help that he had to get to walking now, and the Vulpix was not very fond of the idea of that. The Pokemon continued to whine and grumble as Gilbert skipped far ahead, too busy searching for Pokemon to entertain them than put up with the Vulpix's terrible attitude.

Daytime in the summer brought with it a drought-like heat, so blazingly hot that rays of light were visible in the distant horizon. Though fire Pokémon absorbed and savored such heat, most other Pokémon couldn't stand it and retreated to the shade of trees, bodies of water, or deep into burrows.
Bird-type Pokémon were hard-pressed in this way, unable to locate prey when it was hiding deep in the ground. As a result, flocks of famished birds wandered the premises, pecking at the soil in hopes of landing a morsel. In fact, whenever a winged predator spotted any sort of prey pokemon, they and their friends hastily pursued them in hopes of a meal.
In fact, one right now was being harrassed by a flock of birds - a female Ekans. Though the odds were clearly against her, she fought back bravely with whatever strength she could muster. Even so, the Pidgeys wouldn't stop coming at her. She couldn't attempt escape either - it simply left a chance for the birds to close in and attack her vulnerable backside. Hissing in pain and fear, she launched at the nearest bird using Bite and managed to get a critical hit on their throat. Clearly outmatched, the smitten Pidgey flew away - leaving 3 vicious pigeon-pokemon to take care of.
Ekans is in trouble!
3 Pidgeys are attacking Ekans.

gilbertbeilschmidt; who's gonna run my town tonight [!]
The sound of squawking was most annoying. Gilbert grumbled after a while, turning his head in bewilderment as he tried to pinpoint the source of all the chatter. After a while, his crimson eyes caught sight of the noise makers - A bunch of birds and a snake. He grinned at the purple serpent, most impressed by her fighting spirit. Carbon looked at the Pokemon in boredom, and promptly trotted off, Gilbert doing the exact same.
After all, it wasn't his trouble. It was best for him not to interfere with such nonsense. Rather, he was here to kick ass, not be the goody two shoes saving normal citizens. His life was better than that, after all. He scoffed and the albino continued walking, ignoring the scene altogether.

Ekans slowly succumbed to the pidgeys' onslaught, having no chance when there was no one helping her. The pidgeys ended up eating the ekans, and it was delicious.
Not so far from the scene, a Zigzagoon was ramming his head into a rock - training, perhaps. He looked up and saw a human and a vulpix approaching. A great opportunity to hone his skills! Running out in front of them, he growled, <Hi there! Would you guys care to battle me? I'm undergoing training!> The fire pokemon in front of him seemed tough, but he believed he could still win if he tried.

gilbertbeilschmidt; who's gonna run my town tonight [!]
Gilbert had barely walked any distance when the raccoon had leapt out from nowhere, an excitable expression upon it's face as it eagerly looked at the albino. He grunted, but then considered the implications - Indeed, it would be a good practice for the Vulpix, who really hadn't done much battling. The fox fanned her tails and wagged them, hoping to distract the most excitable Zigzagoon. Gilbert folded his arms and smugly looked at the Pokemon, "Alright punk, you're on."
He beckoned to Carbon, who grudgingly pulled himself into the battle, all this while with looks of boredom or little interest upon his face. The Vulpix stretched apathetically, and Gilbert grinned widely, just as excited as the Zigzagoon was over this little battle, "C'mon Carbon, let's go kick some raccoon ass, Heat Wave!" The prof had said something about it, and it greatly interested Gilbert that the Pokemon knew such strong moves from the start of their lives. He grinned from ear to ear, watching as the Vulpix inhaled sharply and blew out a steady stream from the heat.

Zigzagoon knew that trainers who came by this way were usually weak; thus, he didn't expect his vulpix to know such a strange-sounding attack. Usually, fire pokemon knew moves like emm-burr. It was clear that this one in particular was special.
Growling, he attempted to evade the attack but only managed to save his front legs and head. The searing pain from the flaming hot breath made him wince, but it was not enough to down him, and he straightened (the best zigzagoons can). <You're pretty tough,> he growled. Steadying himself, he began to charge in a zigzagging line at the scarlet fox, head bowed.

The Vulpix flinched, barely as he looked at the Zigzagoon with a most unfriendly snarl, < Damn right I am, still want t'mess with with punk? > Carbon was in the best of moods as of late, and his attitude was showing it, clear as day. The Vulpix's six elegant tails flicked outwards and he grunted at the sheer force of impact, flinching ever the slightest as the Zigzagoon's bristled body rammed into his. As the Vulpix shook it off, Carbon glanced at his fur in disdain, licking it to groom it back in place before he stood on all fours, the quadrupedal fox padding about slowly, as if deliberating over what to do.
As the Pokémon paced about, a small circle of flames, indigo-hued, began to circle the fox, and then he darted his eyes to the smaller raccoon, narrowed and in great disdain. The Will-o-Wisp attack whipped forth and charged at the Zigzagoon, threatening to engulf the Pokémon. On Gilbert's orders of a Heat Wave, Carbon darted forwards and let loose yet another round of a Heat Wave.

[[ I'm not quite sure where this character's link to his pc is. I can easily find Givanke's. ^^' But the other little trainer sprite isn't taking me anywhere. ]]
W-what was going on? He had just made a very successful Tackle attack against the Vulpix, but suddenly there was another advanced technique being used against him. Unlike the usual emb-urrs and smokeskreem, there was this peculiar attack involving haunted blue flames. The fur on his back stood on edge as the flames started to attack him. He tried to dive through the cracks between the flames, but they had trapped him faster than he could react.
As soon as they made contact with him, he received a nasty Burn in the process. Right on his leg, too. Which would definitely effect his attack power as the burn sapped away at his health. Devastated at this sudden change in the battle, he wasn't expecting another Heat Wave to blow him onto his backside. It was so...so...hot!
He screeched in pain as the edges of his furry body started to catch on fire, and in a panic started to roll on the ground like crazy until they were put out. Annoyed at all of the damage done to him, and hardly anything done to the Vulpix, he wagged his tail cutely for a Tail Whip. As if he got a sudden mood swing, he did proceeded to charge forward with another Tackle.

Gilbert was getting annoyed at the battle just by looking at it. Well, it had been interesting and all, but the adrenaline rush that had instigated him to even start the battle had long died off, and Gilbert was keen on finding something else to fight. He spied the small creek up ahead and blinked his crimson eyes. Surely he could find strong Pokemon in there. A Buizel sounded pretty damn cool too, so he figured, why not? He scoffed, looking at the battle before him. B-O-R-I-N-G. Carbon had done an excellent job of dodging under his ever amazing instructions. He let out a bemused laugh, drumming his skinny and pale fingers against his skin, which was just as pale.
Carbon let out a disgruntled growl at the Pokemon, not very much interested in continuing this. The Pokemon should have been more or less weak enough for him to overpower, but yet it was still standing. He guessed the attack was not enough to hurt him just yet. The Vulpix raised his front paws and then leapt right into a fierce bound forward, as fast as his little stubby legs could take him. Damnit, if he evolved already he could always run faster. Of course, Gilbert wasn't allowing that, which was frustrating the hell out of the inexperienced Vulpix. He let out another grumble and darted forward swiftly, trying to slam into the Pokemon in his determination to win.

The Zigzagoon only just managed to slide out of the way of being slammed into by the strong Fire fox. He'd never encountered such strength before! And it's attacks were nothing like he'd been expecting. Most of the Pokémon and trainers that passed through this route were much weaker than this, and so he'd figured that he was getting himself into an easy win for his training. But he'd clearly bitten off more than he could chew with this battle.
The burn was awful, sapping slowly at his strength like the tide against a shore, pulling his health down little by little. Panting, his sides heaving, the raccoon Pokémon could tell that the fox Pokémon was irritated about something, and this worried him slightly. If his opponent got too angry, he figured his attacks might get even worse. That certainly wouldn't be good.
But what sort of fool just gave up? In a desperate attempt to keep fighting, the Zigzagoon wagged his tail in the direction of the fox yet again, hoping to lower it's defense so that he could get in a good shot. The likelihood wasn't too great, but it was still an effort. Trying to ignore the stinging pain of his burns, the Zigzagoon launched himself forward in a tackle.
Zigzagoon used Tail Whip and Tackle! Zigzagoon is hurt by it's burn!

The Vulpix let out a short yelp as the Zigzagoon closed in on him. The bristles on the Pokemon were sharp to the touch, and the Vulpix could feel a prickly sensation strike him as the Zigzagoon made contact. He cringed, flinching the slightest as Carbon rose to his feet shakily, tossing the pain off as if it had been nothing. Deep down inside, however, he knew he was in pain, but to lose to a puny little raccoon such as this one? It wasn't worth it. Gritting his teeth, the Pokemon staggered a little, but held on to the silver of health he was working with. He had not expected to meet such a strong foe. Damnit.
Gilbert appeared displeased with Carbon's performance. He folded his arms and loudly remarked, "Oi, I've seen Caterpie stronger than you, Carbon! Get your ass moving, go and kick butt!" Yeah, right. Easier said than done. Carbon returned his trainer a disgruntled snarl in retort, only causing Gilbert to let out a snigger in bemusement. "C'mon, you prissy little lady, Heat Wave, burn him to hell!"
The word lady more or less ticked the Vulpix off. He let out a fierce snarl in defense, unwilling to succumb to his trainer's petty little insults. In an attempt to prove his trainer wrong, he stood on his haunches and released a devastating Heat Wave, the blasting heat causing the surroundings to warm up just as much. The stream was steady and strong, enough to toast the small raccoon, who at that point of time looked very insignificant.

::zigzagoon:: Zigzagoon faltered due to the pain of his burned pelt, shaking from low vitality. He'd clearly met his match, if not more, and it would take a miracle for him to survive the next move.
Luck was not on his side. Too fatigued to move very far, he was prime target for the molten air spreading towards him. Searing pain blazed all around his fur, singing both the fine hairs and his soft, vulnerable flesh. He opened his mouth to give a screech of pain, but the action was only met with a singed tongue and mouth. Seeing no other option, the dog descended to the hot ground and attempted to cover most of his body from the horrible, flaming air.
When it was over, however, zigzagoon stayed in that position. Against such a powerful attack, there was no way he could get through it staying conscious.
Zigzagoon has fainted! Carbon gains 1 level. Capture or move on?

Gilbert merely watched as Carbon staggered about, trying to stand firmly on his four feet. The quadrupedal Pokemon's legs finally buckled in fatigue and he collapsed on his side, where Gilbert returned him. He gave it a light peck, rubbing the spherical object fondly, "Way t'go, Carbon." With a slight chuckle, the male sauntered over to his fainted foe, examining him with little interest. Gilbert had no use for a Normal type like it, and he was after all, not all that fond of raccoons, even though he kinda was like them, after all. Shaking his head, he circled the Pokemon once more before turning away.
There were better matters to attend to. Feeling insecure without a Pokemon out, Gilbert sent out his only other Pokemon, Arsenic. The Duskull's silent demeanour served to be a most annoying trait, but Gilbert could still tolerate it. As the ghost floated aimlessly behind Gilbert, the male approached the pond that he had set his eyes on, grabbing a stone and wildly flinging it at the water. The small rock hopped twice before it plunged into the water, leaving Gilbert waiting for a Pokemon to come pick a fight.

Poliwag was flapping her tiny arm flaps to make her way through the water. She was bigger than most of her kind, but she just couldn't get swimming right. She opened her mouth in an underwater sigh.
Just in time for a sharp stone to pierce her tongue. A shrill screech escaped her tiny mouth as she writhed in pain, clutching her tongue. >Owowowowwowow> She spat the stone out and leapt out of the water, pain and rage lending her the strength to leap to the surface with a spray of foamy water.
Poliwag landed on her feet, eyebrows furrowed in anger. <Was it you?> she screeched. >You who mutilated my beautiful tonguey-wongey? Owowowowow! You're gonna pay for that!>

Gilbert's eyes could not tear away from the pond, as he anticipated the Pokemon that would appear. A Buizel was something he was aiming for, but the easily satisfied male could work with most things. As the water began to bubble he knew something was surfacing, crimson eyes affixed on the water surface. Arsenic levitated solemnly, his single red orb for an eye swivelling about uncontrollably. Gilbert stepped back, stuffing his hands into his pockets. The creature finally leapt out, and Gilbert widened his eyes, only to be sorely disappointed that it had not been the Buizel he had been eyeing, but rather, a Poliwag.
He squinted at the creature, his face contorted into that of a disapproving frown. Gilbert was not fond of tadpoles - Females for that matter. He laughed to himself coldly, before looking at Arsenic and expecting a response, "Let's kick butt. Sorry princess." He lightly smirked at the Poliwag, and within moments Arsenic was at work. Under Gilbert's instructions, the ghost type shot out a mysterious red beam, thereby initiating a battle that the Poliwag had been rudely demanding for.

The level 15 Night Shade made a direct hit on the Poliwag's spiral, as if it was a target. It almost hit the bullseye, but not quite, if that had been what the Duskull was aiming for. It hurt pretty darn good, subduing the Poliwag onto one foot, while the other easily pushed him off of the ground. His injuries were apparent, but he wasn't willing to go down after one attack.
<Princess? Why you...> The Poliwag's face puffed up in frustration, not sure how to punish the human for such a disrespectful manner. Perhaps taking it out on his Duskull was a much better idea. It was a shame though, that the thing seemed to have quite a lot of power. She doubted that she would be able to take it down easily.
Opening her tiny mouth, inhaling the nearby Oxygen into her body, it reacted with the chemicals within her, forming hydrogen dioxide bubbles out into the air. Some of them floated around Gilbert quite harmlessly, while a swarm of little bubbles swarmed around the Duskull in an attempt to slow it down.

The Duskull was caught amidst the Bubble attack from the Poliwag. While it would not harm Gilbert - most of him any way - it did hurt for the ghost type. Battered rags gently ghosted over some plant matter that Arsenic chose not to identify, his single crimson eye swivelling from one socket to the other in a half bemused manner. The attack had not hurt him as much as he had initially expected, which made him feel a little more prideful at himself for it. Still, he chose not to show any emotion for Gilber to see through him. Weakness was a pity. The bubbles were also terribly distracting, as some chose not to pop and simply clung to him, effectively slowing him down as the Poliwag had envisioned. Still, he shrugged the matter off and chose to listen to Gilbert's choice of action now.
The albino had his eyes half lidded at the battle, barely watching it any more. As the bubbles hovered around him, he let out a cold laugh and popped them with a single, ivory white, skinny finger. His crimson eyes flitted to the Poliwag in amusement, as he commented as a snide remark, "Oi princess. If I catch you, I'll name ya Platinum, Plat, ja?" His German accent was undeniable. Running his hand through his shocking white hair, Gilbert clung his hand to his jeans pocket and then adjusted his bandanna, before barking orders to Arsenic. "Arsenic, Night Shade the little princess again."
It was like some kind of joke that Gilbert would not get sick of. The Duskull chose not to question his master's orders, and simply obeyed. Raising his seemingly non existent hands from beneath the ghostly cloth, the Duskull created a eerie ball of energy and released the ghastly red and purple beam at the small tadpole without any sign of weakness.

As the second Night Shade went towards her, all the Poliwag could think of was to move away, yet her fear of the blow kept her put. What a bother, being hit square in the chest and getting forced down to your knees. Yes, she did have some leg like structure in those stubby feet of hers even though it was very difficult to see. She grumbled from her sudden weakness, not liking being taken advantage of so easily in a fight. She was going to make them pay for mocking her, oh yes she was. They would all see that she was right, and they were wrong for doing so.
<A name? Oh please. I’d bet that a rock could make up a better name…if they could talk.> She retorted, thinking through her list of moves to use against this freaky ghost type. What a creep he was, just staring at her with that red eye of his. The way it switched back and forth was so unnatural, and she couldn’t help but wonder how he made friends with a look like that. Come to think of it, she did learn a new attack from her older brother recently. Maybe she could try it out?
’Only thing is that it doesn’t always work…but I should at least give it a shot.’ She thought with a hint of dolefulness in her mind’s tone. Sighing, she looked back at the Duskull and started to hum a tune. It was soft and mysterious, much like the opponent before her. Her spiral slowly started to twirl back and forth, her Hypnosis powers working like a harp player; gently strumming the strings until something happened.
