Naomi had left the labratory moments before, although she hadn't bothered to see what was inside the pokeball. She had requested a poochyena, so certaintly she had gotten a poochyena right? Right? Right. Well maybe she should let the little guy out for some nice fresh air. She reached for her pokeball, slinging her bag over one shoulder as she announced "Come out!"
::croagunk::
As the light finally disappered from the pokeball, a purple figure was revealed, and it certaintly wasn't a Poochyena. Naomi stared blankly trying to grab a hold of the situation. One Minute. Two Minutes. Three Minutes. Four Minutes. Five Minutes. Six.....The Croagunk let out a slow call at the sound of silence and Naomi jumped back a little. "Whoa....you're not a poochyena" She spoke quietly. She was aware of what the pokemon was, it was a bit er...creepy. It was just staring at her and..and.....Croaaaaaagunnkkkk Naomi took a step back and the pokemon followed. She soon sighed "Oh well, we' re stuck together, so let's make friends" She said petting the err Croagunk. She was wondering if wild pokemon could be found around here, she had never seen a croagunk fight before, so maybe it was good to get a battle in or catch a pokemon or something... [/blockquote]

{{ooc/ Please make a PC and include it in your signature for the mods' sake. [: }} For a little while there were no pokemon that desired to bother the trainer and Croagunk, busy with their own needs and desires. Huge flocks of birds swooped above in the clear sky, as if scattering the lone clouds. Burrowing creatures watched for predators or prey, ignoring the traveling girl altogether.
Suddenly, a loud rustling erupted behind Naomi, and then sounds of a tussle. It seemed like it a little distance away - far enough that the girl could avoid the fight if she so chose. But curiosity can get the better of humans sometimes, no?
Investigate or move on?

Momentarily distracted by conversing with the poison type Pokemon, she heard something slightly behind her. She looked over her shoulder then back to Croagunk. "What was that?" she asked mostly to herself. She had started to get over the creepiness of her pokemon, so that was a relief. Croagunk? was the pokemon's only reply. Naomi sighed before turning and inspecting distance behind her. Well, maybe she shouldn't get that close. She looked back and saw that Croagunk was still in the same location she had left it, she looked a bit disappointed by the pokemon's lack of eagerness but she looked to the bushes again, anything could be there. It wouldn't hurt to investigate though, right? Right. [/blockquote]

<I saw him first, faggot.> Screeched the Natu, launching his little body at the Pidgey with beak outstretched; his intent was to peck the insolent bird's feathery wing.
The hit struck its mark; jarred from the hit, the opposite bird stumbled backwards with a hiss of pain. <Get lost. I saw you eat three of them already today,> He squawked in reply, huffing in pain. The Pidgey then launched himself at the smaller Natu, aiming his bulk at the Natu's face.
The little bird skillfully dodged the attack, getting ready for a retaliation of his own.
Pidgey and Natu are fighting!
Who were they fighting over? It was a Wurmple, who was quivering a small distance away. The little insect wasn't planning on getting eaten today, and would've liked to have wriggled to safety at that point, but was too frightened to even move her legs.

Woah. thought Naomi as she caught sight of the two bickering pokemon who seemed to be fighting over something....was it a wurmple? Naomi quickly whipped out her pokedex, satisfied that she has guessed right. Okay, what should I do? Maybe I should try to catch one of them, or battle one or something? But she had to think fast. She looked to Croagunk, who was unfazed by the pokemon's bickering. Okay, it seemed like everything was about to get a bit technical, it was two against one...how....fair.
::croagunk::
"Croagunk, ready to get some experience? Let's break up their fighting and try to catch one of them!" She confidently, she wanted to save the poor cowering wurmply, but she wanted to catch the Pidgey, seeing as it seemed as if the was the biggest and most dominant of the bunch. Then she remembered that her pokemon didn't have the best assortment of attacks against two flying types, but it would just have to do. Her Croagunk had slowly reached her side, not exactly interested in anything that was going on. "Croagunk used Dynamic Punch on that Pidgey!" She commanded, aiming to take out the Pidgey first, if the Natu still tried to harm the Wurmple, she would try to get her pokemon to take that one out of too. <Really? I really don't feel like it.....okay I guess.?> Croagunk headed for the small brown bird pokemon, aiming for a dynamic punch and attempting to at least mild damage. [/blockquote] OOC: I hope this battle post is okay.

::wurmple:: Natu was just about to launch at the Pidgey once more, but this caused her to become the sole taker of the Dynamic Punch. Giving a squawk of both surprise and pain, the petite bird slid backwards. A bruise appeared upon her breast, where the hit had landed. Looking up, she aimed an icy stare at the Croagunk that had assaulted her. <What's your deal?> Hissed the bird, glaring coldly at the fighting frog.
Pidgey used the opportunity to gang up on the small psychic bird, quickly aiming a tackle at Natu's vulnerable side. The blow left him breathless, causing him to skid backwards on the dirt. The heavily injured Natu lay there, nearly spent, for a few moments, dissapointed in himself for leaving his body vulnerable. Unable to get back up on his feet, the bird lay there, spent.
Natu has fainted.
Pidgey turned toward the Wurmple now, caring not for the Croagunk and his human accomplice at all. <Now, you're mine!> Squawked the bird, launching himself at his prey. Wurmple panicked, then attempted squirming away from the bird's fierce-looking beak.
Pidgey is attacking Wurmple! [/size][/center]

Croagunk jumped back when it realized that it had attacked the wrong Pokemon, instead of making any other motions he just looked to his trainer. "Come on Croagunk, we've gotta catch that Pidgey, but don't use as much force this time" commanded Naomi as she shot a glance in the poor Pidgey's direction. Maybe I should use mudslap to temporarily blind the Pidgey then hurl a Pokémon? Ground attacks are not likely to effect a bird type...but it would distract the Pokémon for a moment right? We need to get its attention off of that poor Wurmple The trainer contemplated for a moment then finally got an idea "Croagunk, use dynamic punch again on that Pidgey, but don't use full force this time!"
Croagunk looked at Naomi for a moment but made no respond and quickly headed for the Pidgey, aiming for a lighter version of its original Dynamic Punch. Okay, we just need to distract it for just a slight moment Naomi thought as she took out a pokeball anticipted the right time to try and catch the bird pokemon. [/blockquote]

::pidgey:: ::caterpie:: Pidgey was still chasing frantically after the unusually fast Caterpie until he was hit hard by the Croagunk's quick punch. Sharp talons scraped lines in the floor as the bird skidded backward. Recovering from the move allowed the caterpillar ample time to scoot away, leaving the predator and his opponents behind. When the bird looked up to see where the fat insect was, he saw only empty space where it was before.
Caterpie has left.
Enraged, the pidgey turned to the Croagunk with a fiery-hot gaze. <You'll pay for that!> Squawked the feathered fiend. Taking flight, the avian gained a few feet above ground before he swooped down at the toad for a full-bodied tackle attack, made faster by the currents in the wind.
Pidgey used Taclke on Croagunk!

::croagunk:: Naomi watched in silence at the bird pokemon swooped in to attack her croagunk. She was guessing that the pokemon was probably mad now. Croagunk lost his balance slightly but soon regained a few moments later <hey! calm yourself!> croagunk protested as it glared at the flying type. Naomi wasn't quite sure what to do now, at least her pokemon wasn't completely tired out, but it was his first battle, and she wasn't sure if she should attack again or just throw the pokeball and take a chance.
Okay this is our only chance thought Naomi. The bird was in the air, so she wasn't sure if she could actually catch the pokemon, and croagunk wasn't able to attack in the air, so what now? "Croagunk, come over here" spoke Naomi as she watched the fighting type wander back over to her side. She looked down at the pokeball that lay in her hands before she swallowed her uncertainty and doubt and tossed the ball towards the bird pokemon "Here goes nothing!"She just hoped that the pokemon was weak enough that it wouldn't try to escape from the pokeball. She could tell that the Pidgey was a mean son of gun at that [/blockquote]

::pidgey:: Pkmn encounter ! Pidgey gave a squawk of befuddlement when he saw that the trainer had called back her pokemon. <Hey, what gives?!> He hissed before the trainer tossed a pokeball at the winged creature. He gave a squawk of protest before being sucked into the capsule, held hostage by its confines.
However, he wasn't going to submit that easily. With all his might he shook the pokeball, which was then unable to hold the fierce pidgey in. Opening up, it vomited the bird back onto the ground and bounced back to Naomi.
Giving a laughing sort of squawk, the bird flew toward the female trainer this time, intent on slamming into her leg. He was angry that these two had so rudely interrupted his mealtime.

"Oh shoot, it didn't work" muttered Naomi before she realized that the bird pokemon was heading straight for her, it was too late for her to move out of the way when the bird slammed into here. goodness what is this bird's problem?! she thought before finally deciding that this wasn't going to be easy, not at all. "Croagunk, use dynamic punch!" she ordered as she backed away a few steps, not wanting the bird to slam into her again
::croagunk::
Croagunk obeyed his trainer's orders and headed for the bird again, tiny arms oustretched, aiming for the bird pokemon's wing. Naomi had lost all sympathy for the flying type and she didn't want to hold back, looks like they would have to catch it the hard way. By weakening it and trying to throw a ball again. [/blockquote]

::pidgey:: Pkmn battle ! Pidgey jumped back after landing his tackle into the trainer's leg, looking up to see if she had a pained expression but not seeing any. Hissing, the bird beat his wings to fly backward into position for the next move. To think he hadn't caused Naomi that much pain - how disappointing.
Croagunk was now coming at him with arms stretched out towards him. Still quite ready for battle despite numerous injuries from the one with Natu, the fowl took flight to quickly avoid the fighting frog's coming fists. Giving a battle cry, the pidgey descended to meet the poisonous pokemon with a Tackle attack.

As her pokemon missed his mark, Naomi sighed This is going to take forever she thought painfully as Croagunk barely managed to dodge a vicious tackle that was aimed at him. During the dodge, Croagunk lost his balance and was on the ground for a second "Croagunk, get up!" Naomi urged as she watched her pokemon get to his feet quickly. "Counter with mud slap Croagunk!" she commanded,hopefully they could finally distract the bird correctly.
::Croagunk::
Croagunk used his fists to retrieve a ball of dirt and hurled it in the direction of the bird's eyes, hoping that it would hit the bird dead on. Both trainer and pokemon watched in anticipation, hoping that this could be there chance to acquire a new member to their newly formed team. [/blockquote]

A Mud Slap, huh? Well Pidgey had just the ticket for that! Flapping his wings frantically, he raised mounds of sand to meet the Mud Slap in the middle. Both attacks fell to the ground, cancelling each other out.
With a caw of triumph, Pidgey wheeled into the air again, soaring sideways in a desperate Tackle attack. But Pidgey was getting exhausted now. His wings were drooping and he was having trouble keeping his eyes open. He couldn't keep this up for much longer.
::pidgey:: Pidgey used Sand Attack and Tackle!

Naomi raised her arm to shield her eyes from the sand that the bird pokemon had thrown up with its wings. Yet another attack had failed on their side. She casted at a glance at her Croagunk, who too had used his arm to shield his eyes from the sand that had blocked his previous attack. The pokemon looked up just in time to dodge out of the way of the pidgey's tackle attack. ::croagunk::
She was surprised that Croagunk had been able to dodge the pokemon's attack, but when she looked closely, she realized it seemed as if the pokemon had tired. Perhaps this was her final chance to catch the Pokemon? She wasn't sure if the flying type could talk a fierce hit from Croagunk if it hit.
She took out yet another pokeball and hurled it at the flying type, hoping that this time her attempts would not be futile. [/blockquote] ::pokeball:: -----------> ::pidgey::

As the Pidgey was hit in the head by the Pokeball, the ball worked its magic and swiftly sucked in the avian. It was like a cage, except smaller, and he couldn't see the outside world as easily. Granted, he could see out of it slightly, but it was quite difficult. Once fully inside, the bird began ramming into the top part of the capsule, making it shudder on occasion. It was a rough fight in the Pokeball, and this seemed to go on for several minutes before the Wild Pidgey was finally subdued.
'...curses. What does this mean for me now?' Was the Pidgey's last thoughts as a Wild Pokémon before he was officially 'owned' by this human. He wasn't even sure if he should listen to her though. She would sure have to make an effort to earn his trust. Or give him food. Foooooood.
You Get: Gender: Male Level: 6 Attacks: Tackle, Sand Attack And Croagunk gains a level from beating Natu. [/center][/font]

Naomi almost jumped in glee as she realized that she had caught the bird pokemon. She just realized that she had been holding her breath, waiting for the bird to escape its prision, but she realized that it had not. She ran over to pick up the pokeball and looked to Croagunk "Croagunk! You did it! We caught a Pidgey!" she exclaimed walking back over to the poison fighting type. <thaaaattsss goooooddd?> Croaaaagunk. Was its only reply and Naomi still reached over in order to pat the frog pokemon on its head.
She looked to the pokeball again, she would let the new pokemon rest for a good long while. She was sure the pokemon was exhausted. "Come on Croagunk, let's explore some more" She spoke to the frog pokemon and soon the pair had set off again, Naomi humming all the while. [/color][/blockquote]

::zigzagoon:: Pkmn encounter ! A zigzagoon that had watched the entire encounter snickered to himself behind the bushes he'd taken as shelter, knowing he'd landed a goldmine today. Knowing the conflict between the two birds and caterpie would likely have ended with two losers, he was not surprised when he looked upon the fallen figure of the Natu.
Licking his chops, the striped, spiky thing padded up to the fainted green avian and bent, grabbing onto the wing of the petite creature and shaking it around. The whooshing of wind through the fallen bird's feathers and its slapping against the raccoon's face caused quite a ruckus.
Hmm, he barely had an appetite for Natus, the scrawny things, which was why he felt dissapointed that Pidgey won the battle. Remembering that he was lucky enough just to have stumbled upon this prize, he dismissed such ungrateful thoughts from his mind. Zigzagoon instead turned his thoughts toward ending the life of this unfortunate bird and getting ready to chow down on his lunch.
Interfere or move on?

Naomi continued along the path along with her pokemon companion, Croagunk. She stopped for a moment when she heard something a little distance back from where they had once stood. She looked to Croagunk before turning back, only to find a wild Zigazoon messing with the fallen Natu. She thought for a moment, pondering on what she should do. A battle? She looked back behind her only to find that Crogunk was still walking ahead, she decided to leave the Zigazoon to his find and hurried after the wandering Croagunk. [/blockquote] moving on......

The route seemed calm, peaceful at that, today. Just a day to be lazy and lounge about. Many Pokémon didn't seem too be out and about, probably hiding in burrows or caves to get out of the heat of the day and nap it away. What Pokémon were out seemed to be fairly good at alluding Naomi's sight and path.
Least that was until a Paras crossed the road ahead of the girl. It seemed to be muttering to itself as it made it's way to the trees on the other side. The Pokémon takes no notice of either the human or the Croagunk. As you get close, you can make out bits and pieces of it's "one-sided conversation", though it did seem to be talking to someone only no one was with it. <Why did you have to get sap from the trees over on this side of the route again. Last time we did we ran into a stalker girl. The creep. So glad with escaped her, I'm tired just thinking about that battle with her Aron. Never again will I talk to strangers, should of listened to you 'Shooms, yes I should of.>
[/color] Apparently this Pokémon didn't have a friendly encounter with another trainer.. Approach or ignore?(This is the Paras that ran from Draa, just a note for the mods)[/center][/size]
