He... didn't really want the egg.
It wasn't that Joshua knew what this odd pink and brown egg was going to hatch into, but honestly, he'd carried the thing for ages, and it still hadn't hatched. No doubt this was a result of how busy he was with the Power Plant mess; he hadn't really gotten a chance to spend much time with the egg.
Oh well.
As he strolled through Verona, aimlessly wandering as he really had nothing better to do, the dark-haired male caught site of the Verona lounge. A lot of trainers went there, right? Glancing at the egg, which was currently tucked into his bag, he decided that it couldn't hurt to head in there and see if anyone was interested in taking the thing off him.
Of course, with Joshua, nothing was ever free. Shoving headphones in his ears, he sat the bag beside him, egg poking out, with a sign leaning up against it. Should it catch anyone's interest, they need just approach and tap him to get his attention.

Adeleine found herself wandering the streets of Verona. She hadn't a real care in the world; it was all exploration to her. She knew she should be helping out with the Team Death situation in the Power plant, but she decided that she needed a small break away from everybody. Her snowy hair was being a bit of an annoyance, it always stuck to her face in Autumn. She probably should have thought out the whole...traveling in a dress thing, too. She got looks, and she thought most people considered her a street walker. It wasn't her fought she was fond of dresses opposed to shorts or skirts.
After a bit of moping, she found herself inside a Trainer Lounge. There was only one other trainer in here. He looked oddly familiar...Adeleine didn't even realize it was one of the hooligans from Team Death. An egg? He looked a bit shady, but he seemed to be selling it. Adeleine cautiously walked up to him, she took a minute to make sure her dress was completely straight. Her hand found itself on top of the counter, and she put on her best smile. He didn't seem all too friendly; it probably would take some coaxing.
"Uh...hi. You seem to be selling this egg, I'll give you 3, 500 pokedollars for it." Adeleine calmly claimed; she wasn't really sure why she wanted the egg. It was...giving off a light of cuteness and warmth. It seemed very benevolent to her.
The trainer across from her, dark hair and everything else. His general aura and temperament seemed to bring his entire area down. Adeleine attempted to ignore this, however; in favor of being polite.

Hearing a voice just beyond the music, Joshua glanced up, piercing gray eyes locking onto the girls for a moment. His unblinking stare could be quite unnerving, but he really wasn't trying to scare anyone off, she just looked familiar. It didn't take him long to recognize one of the trainers from the power plant, and his expression hardened into an even more stoic frown.
This girl had partaken in the downfall of his team. Remembering Eris' pain as she'd went down, how much she'd seemed to be suffering, he had half a mind to punch something, perhaps her pretty little face? But no. This was not the power plant. Away from the mess that was Team Death, he was just another trainer - or at least he was 'supposed' to act like one, as he'd promised himself - and starting fights with the locals was hardly a good idea.
Wait - she was making an offer?
Heck, that amount of cash for an egg he hardly wanted in the first place sounded good to him. Nodding, his expression returning to a neutral one, if not friendly, he tugged the headphones out of his ears, and the egg out of the bag.
"Hand me the cash, and it's yours."

Adeleine handed him the money, and took the egg from his arms. She cradled it, almost like a mom would a baby. She wasn't sure exactly how to care for eggs, but she figured it would come to her in time. This man was...striking her. She found him sort of an enigma, she wondered if he was always this stoic. She gave him a friendly wave, and walked out of the building. She promised Taiki she would meet up for more training on Route 1 anyhow.
