Full Name: Atrum Vulpes Gender: Male Age: 20, 14th of July
Appearance: Atrum Vulpes, as a grown man, stands at just above six foot. Usually, depending on the weather, he'll wear very 'open' attire, showing off the muscle he worked for during his school days, in an attempt to wow the ladies. Blessed with naturally silvery-blonde hair and cerulean blue eyes, Atrum also allows a small amount of stubble to grow on his chin. He has a prominent nose, and average-sized lips. He has a smooth, square jaw - again, a sign of his physical maturity.
He usually wears a striped shirt, usually undone depending on the weather and temperature, and on top of that he wears a light coat with short sleeves. He wears black gloves on his hands, and a black bandana on his head. To top this off he wears dark grey jeans with a fancy steel belt, and large Doc Marten-style boots of similar hue. Depending on the weather, his shirt and coat CAN be done up, although you'll be lucky to see this prideful man doing it in public.
Background: Atrum was born to wealthy parents, who - despite the money - were harsh and strict on him from an early age. He went to private school away from the world, and day by day he would look out of his window, at the normal kids who were allowed to be free from the eyes of their captors, and even had the option to go on a journey with Pokemon, should they choose. Atrum's father had specifically stated he was not allowed to do this under his care. So, his resentment towards his family grew.
Despite the private education, he was disinterested in most of his subjects (minus Biology; everything about Pokemon and living organisms fascinated him). His disinterest meant his grades were never on par with what they could have been, had he gone to a normal school and had a normal education. He began to get depressed, as his school teachers and parents thought something was wrong with him, deficient - how was he not doing well when his teacher's were top of the world and his parents continued to pour money into his future? Atrum just wanted to have an adventure.
At the age of fourteen, something spectacular happened.
Walking home from school one night, Atrum gave in to his depression on the sidewalk. Overwhelmed, he just sat down and cried. He would have gone on for hours, but after ten minutes, a feline shadow fell across his chest. Catching his attention, he looked up, red-eyed, to see a stray Meowth pawing at his knee. His tears slowly drying up, he ran his right hand through the cat's hair, and a large purr bubbled from the Meowth's throat. It climbed into his lap and settled down, eyes closed.
::Meowth::
Needless to say, Atrum had made his first real friend. Over the course of the next four years, his school-work suddenly improved; once again, nobody knew why. Most assumed it was because Atrum had finally settled down to his work; we know otherwise. Daily he met up with the stray Meowth; usually he was able to sneak scraps of food to it, as life in the city was hard for a Pokemon like that. It 'moved' near his house; often he'd go out, telling his parents he was seeing a friend, when he was really playing with his Meowth.
His Meowth.
He didn't pass with flying colours; he'd spent too much of his child-hood not paying attention for that. However, he managed to scrape his way through his exams, passing each (with a good pass for Biology, he would say with pride). A few months later, and he'd begin to work for his father's pharmaceutical company. However, after working a late shift one night, it came to his attention that his father's main shareholder was none other than Team Death.
Disgusted by his family, he resolves to pack up and leave the city he had known all of his life. Oh, and he'd take his Meowth, obviously. Within a week he'd packed up, and on his twentieth birthday he just walked away, headed to the nearest port and left everything to start anew in Cheyenne.
He could even follow his child-hood dream of going on an adventure, should he choose.
Personality: Atrum Vulpes is, overall, a very cynical human being. He'll be among the first to ask what the point of doing something is, and will be the fastest to decline something that sounds, in his opinion, stupid. However, if something seems like it would be of gain to him, or if it didn't sound too stupid, he'd happily spring into action. Basically, if it wasn't completely dumb, he'd be up for it.
His exterior personality is that of a tough man, and on first glance it would appear that he prefers to use his brawns than his brains. He acts coldly to most of his acquaintances, believing them to be imbeciles. However, if you can get close to Atrum (which is by no means an easy feat) he will open up, and maybe even smile and joke with you. Although not shown nearly often enough, he has a mean sense of humour. He's also overly protective of friends, and would do anything they asked. Once you've made him a friend, he's as loyal as a pet dog (although I wouldn't recommend talking of him in this manner; he might not be so friendly afterwards).
Info: Is that acceptable for a Meowth? :3
