Appearance: Apollo is a relatively short boy for his age. His outfit of preference consists of a simple, plain white t-shirt and a black jacket over it, buttoned at the stomach and just above his waist with gold-colored buttons. His hair is black and usually untidy. However, his parents would often fix it for him, much to his annoyance. He would untidy it yet again as soon as they were out of sight. He also wore simple black pants, and he always wears a small digital watch on his left wrist. It is always set to display time on the twenty-four hour clock. Finally, he wears black, plain, solid-colored shoes.
Background: Apollo Masara was born and raised in the land far off called Khrono. There, his father, Manny, owned a gym of Fire-type Pokémon. He was born into a family that practically raised everything for battle. Apollo developed his love for battle from this life. He would often even help his father and mother with preparations for the Gym, for future challengers or However, when he was around the age of 12, something changed, and a problem emerged. One day, while Apollo was on an errand to fetch fresh supplies from the Pokémon Mart in their city. On his way back, he discovered a small Pokémon. When the Pokémon caught his interest, he made his way over to discover a smaller-than-average Buizel with bad injuries. He had been badly hurt in battle. After a bit of coaxing, he managed to gain the Pokémon’s trust and give him immediate first aid. He brought the hurt Pokémon home to ask his parents if he could stay with them for a while until his injuries healed. Unfortunately, there was a single problem. They ran a Fire-type Gym and wanted nothing to do with a Water Type Pokémon. After being sent to the Pokémon Center to drop the Buizel off, Apollo secretly kept him, using his own money that he earned working at the Gym to pay for the supplies he needed.
One day, however, four years later, Manny discovered the Buizel and confronted him about it. With that, Manny forced a choice on Apollo. Either release it back into the wild “where he belonged” or take it and learn how to take care of himself as a real Pokémon Trainer. He didn’t even have to think about it. That night, he had packed his bags and the next morning he was out the door on a blimp headed across the ocean. Destination: Cheyenne, where he planned on seeing what was in store for him on his very first attempt at a Pokémon journey.
Personality: Apollo is normally a quiet young man who keeps to himself. However, at the same time, he enjoys the company of others. He’s not the type of person who will openly engaging in conversation, but he will participate in one when addressed. He is a brilliant boy; truly a master of theoretical strategy. However, when it comes to the real deal, he will often choke and mess it up somehow. He loves to battle, even though he is not very good at it…but that’s exactly why he wants to go out on his own…to learn the life skills he needs to become a proper trainer of Pokémon. When it comes to Pokémon, he’s always been closer to them than to other humans. He cares about them more than anything, and will do whatever it takes to make sure they are not badly hurt.

His girlfriend picked up on the name “Polly” and started using it as his pet name. It was always a run-on joke with his friends to offer him a cracker whenever they had one with them.
