Sam stopped at the front of the gym after going through the entire route to find it. He had heard a lot about this gym leader and her propensity for double battles and he himself was interested in having one with her. He waited outside the door for a few seconds before taking a deep breath... He recollected his entire journey from route 1 until this moment where he could challenge the first gym leader. He had gone through a lot through this time. He hoped his parents could see him now... Suddenly, Sam walked right into the gym door and saw the lights flicker open. But he did not see anyone there... <"Hello? Is anyone here? I wish to challenge the gym leader!"> Sam said as he awaited a response. Batman flew above him to keep him entertained while he awaited the gym leader to arrive... Sam was ready for this, this was it... Win or lose, he will grow as a trainer after this. Gym Leader AdrianThe curly-haired gym leader rose from her chair. Being a gym leader was....boring! On the days where she was not patrolling the city, she was stuck here to wait for prepubescent tweens who wanted to face her because the league told them to. As she walked to a door to the backroom, the lights flickered on and she heard a voice behind her. Finally, someone she could play with.
Adrian turned around and moved towards the boy, "I am Adrian, Electrique City's gym leader." The introduction was probably unnecessary, but she continued on anyways, "Double Battle. Pick your pokemon wisely." She warned, and she clipped off two pokeballs from her belt. "Ready?"
challenge the gym leader?

Sam was ready as he would ever be for the double battle... Today he chose to wear a nice bandana over his head to keep his forehead warm, although it wasn't helping much... He also decided to have black gloves on today as the chilling cold was just too strong for him and he needed to stay warm. He also clipped two pokeballs from his pocket and threw them onto the field. Out of one of them a five star bug came out. It flew around the gym, looking at everything around it and then at Adrian. It then smiled and with a fist plate on his gloves, he felt determined to give this trainer a good run for her money... The other pokemon that popped out of the pokeball fell straight to the ground and started to dig himself a hole to rest. He did not like waking up so early so he just took his beauty rest. Sam quickly saw this and called out his name... <"Digi. Wake up!"> Sam said, which caused his Diglett to get up... very grumpy. "You rotten kids, can't you just leave me here to die!" But Sam did not understand a world he was saying. Both Lucky and Digi stayed on the field, looking on to what Adrian would do now. ::Ledyba:: ::Diglett:: You can go first

ADRIAN! ::meowth:: used fake out! ::rattata:: used bite!
"A fine gentlemen you are," Adrian said as she released her two pokemon onto the field. She smiled at her girls, Cat and Rat. She loved them dearly and the fact that she had just gotten Rat back she had not felt so attached to her like she was now. "You are an affable boy to allow me to go first," she started as she looked out the window as the sun set, a gloaming site it was. It was truely nice. "Cat, use fake out on the bug pokemon. Rat, use bite on the bug as well." The Pokemon sprung into action. The Meowth was ready to attack the bug and the Rattata had her fangs bared to attack once the Meowth had done her stuff.

Sam regretted allowing the girl attack first the minute he said it. When she released her two pokemon and they had teamed up against her bug, he knew he regretted the attack off the bat. First came the came who swung it's paws on Lucky, she wasn't so lucky this time as she could not dodge the attack in time and was smack by it. It didn't leave much of a mark on Lucky which didn't worry Sam much... But the problem was, she didn't seem to move much. When the bite came, she did not get out of the way at all and stood there to take the impact of the hit. This one hurt a lot more than the fake out as the five star pokemon was bit by the rat and began to sprout a little bit of blood from her back. And worst yet... She didn't seem to make a movement after. <"Lucky, use Reflect and then Comet Punch."> Sam said, but to his surprise Lucky just stayed where she was. She did not move and just stood still, flinching from the terrors that she had just suffered. Sam sighed as there was nothing he could do about it in this situation. The strategy was fool proof and it caught his pokemon off guard and put her in a very weird position... Lucky for him, it was a double battle so just because Lucky couldn't attack didn't mean he couldn't muster a move at all... Sam nodded to Digi who nodded back, after seeing the horrors of the opponent's pokemon team up against Lucky, Digi wanted to avenge his partner although she wasn't really a friend to him yet... <"Digi, use Growl on the two and then stir the ground a bit to show them who they are messing with."> Digi let out a very loud growl against the pair before he knocked the ground very hard with all of his body. It sent a vibration across the field, lucky Lucky was in the hair to prevent herself from getting hit by the attack... But the other two might not have been as lucky... Digi sent a medium size Magnitude against the enemies... It wasn't his strongest but it also wasn't his weakest. It was "just right" in terms of power... Sam looked on, hoping he could take back the upper hand after this attack as he needed to buy some time for Lucky to rest a bit. ::Ledyba:: (Almost weakening) Hit by Fake out and Bite. Flinched
::Diglett:: (Full Health) Hit by nothing. Used Growl and Magnitude 7 on enemies

The odd pair of predator and prey both landed their successful, combined blows on the Ledyba. And to the two of them, that was satisfying to no end. It must be strange to see two natural enemies to be working together so effortlessly. In order to use Pokémon like these together, Leader Adrian must have been a somewhat gifted Trainer...as would be expected of a Cheyenne Gym Leader. But, that wasn't all that was to come. The Magnitude that the Diglett unleashed may not have been too powerful, but it was strong enough to get both of his opponents to take some decent damage. Overall, however, Adrian's two Pokémon appeared to be just fine after the ground-shaking. Though Adrian herself was rather impressed by this boy's tactics. To use a Flying Pokémon in conjunction with a strong move like Magnitude was quite clever. But, it would take more than that to beat her. She quickly took note of the status of both Pokémon. Judging from the power of that Magnitude, the Diglett was somewhat high-leveled...but nothing her Pokémon couldn't handle. On the other hand, she had yet to see what the Ledyba could do. And if she could help it, she'd prefer it to stay that way. "Alright, Rat, focus your energy while Cat goes to Bite that flying Pokémon."And that's exactly what both Pokémon did. The Rattata, after shaking off the damage from the Magnitude, started to use Focus Energy, so that he might hit weak spots a bit easier. As the Rattata focused, the Meowth charged forward at an impressive speed and leaped into the air, extending his claws. When he came down, he tries to cling onto Lucky with his claws and feet and chomp down hard onto the Ledyba's body with Bite. After the Bite was finished, hit or miss, she called out. "Alright now, Cat...back off and use Growl to give Rat some room. Rat, charge in and Bite it as well!" With that Focus Energy under the Rattata's belt, she hoped that her strategy to keep the Ledyba unable to make a move would work and make this battle that much easier. Cat and Rat did exactly what they were told. Cat jumped away from the two opposing Pokémon and let out a menacing Growl at the two of them, hopefully lowering their attack strength. At the exact same time, Rat came charging forward, leaping into the air and trying to sink his big teeth into the Ledyba just as the Meowth had done only moments ago. Adrian watched her Pokémon's attacks, hoping that perhaps just one of those Bite attacks would cause the Ledyba to Flinch in fear. She loved seeing a Pokémon cower to her own. It was strangely satisfying. ::Meowth:: Hit by Growl & Magnitude! [ATK: -1] Used Bite on Lucky! Used Growl on Lucky & Digi! ::Rattata:: Hit by Growl and Magnitude! [ATK: -1] Used Focus Energy! Used Bite on Lucky!

Sam was glad that his initial strategy had worked, but it suddenly went from good to bad when the Meowth had charged him in hopes of biting Lucky. The bite landed right on her neck and she started to grimace in pain, this attack was considerably weak compared to the last one but it still hurt Lucky nonetheless. She attempted to shake Cat off but the Cat would not let go and continued to bite on her neck... Eventually though, the Cat suddenly jumped off and gave the two Pokémon a very loud growl. This was painful to the ears and also very dangerous as it was also a source of distraction. Suddenly with that done, the Rat made his way to Lucky after spotting one of her weak points and charged to bite her right on her tiny legs. She was dazed from the bite and from the growl, but by the voice of her trainer... She was able to avoid it, but barely avoid it. <"Fly up to the air, as fast as you can!"> Sam yelled which caused Lucky to just take off right up to the air and causing the Rat to miss. Sam breathed a sigh of relief, that attack might have done it for Lucky... He had to really stop underestimating these trainers, they were much more difficult than he had initially thought. But now that he knew Lucky could move, it was time for the real fun to begin. <"Lucky Reflect."> Sam quickly called out to his five-star Pokémon. Suddenly she created a light barrier that covered up both her and Digi for the time being to prevent the onslaught of physical attacks. It seemed this trainer could only use physical attacks against them so Reflect was Sam's method of defending against them. Sam then called Lucky to <"Use Comet Punch..."> But he suddenly noticed that Lucky was too tired after the dodge and thus could do no such thing. She just stood up in the air to recollect her breath as that was her main priority right now. <"Digi give them a loud growl."> He said and the old Diglett, annoyed that the two still targeted Lucky instead of him, not viewing him as a threat... Decided to get out all of his emotion in that growl. "RAWRRRRRRRRRRRR" Digi said to the two pair, hoping to scare them and distract them for a minute while he suddenly sent a vibration through the ground. After the vibration was a rather powerful Magnitude attack... Much more powerful than his last one but still not the post powerful Digi could do... He sent the vibration at everyone on the field, which Lucky was lucky to not be affected by since she was up in the air... But the other two probably weren't as lucky... Sam even felt this one himself, <"Woah! This one is impressive"> Sam said as he awaited to see how much damage it would do to the pair... (-1 attack) (Weakening) Hit by Bite. Hit by Growl. Dodged Rat's Bite. Used Reflect ::Diglett:: (100% health) (-1 attack) Hit by nothing. Used Growl and Magnitude 8 (Base Power 90) on pair. Reflect 1/5 [/b]

The two attacks on the boy's Pokémon weren't completely successful, but at least some of the work was done. But one thing was clear to Adrian. She REALLY needed to take out that Ledyba. That Reflect was going to get annoying to battle through. It would easily reduce the damage done to her opponents by one-third. That was a lot of damage to miss out on. If she didn't defeat that Ledyba before this first Reflect was finished, then he would most definitely just put up a second Reflect, and the effect would continue for another short while. And that Diglett's Growling didn't help much either. That had to be prevented. But right now, her attention was focused on what the Diglett was doing. Another Magnitude rippled the battlefield, causing both Rat and Cat to sustain even more hefty damage. She didn't like the direction this battle was going, but she wasn't going to just let it end right then and there. She knew she could counter that Growl with relative ease. So that's what she decided to do. "Alright, Rat, Tail Whip, let's go! And Cat, at the same time, try to hit the Ledyba with another Bite attack! And then swap out with Bite and Growl!" The tactic was pretty similar to her last move, but the best this guy could do was seem to dodge one of the physical attacks. So as long as that was all he could muster against this strategy, then she'd press on with it. The two Pokémon gave no indication that they comprehended the Leader's orders, but they followed through with them nonetheless. Rat stayed behind for a moment and wagged his tail a bit with a Tail Whip, hoping to lower the Defense of the Diglett and Ledyba. Meanwhile, Cat bound forward and tried the same move as before. Leaped into the air and tried to sink fangs into the Ledyba at whatever was available, just as Rat finished the Tail Whip.. Immediately after the attack was finished, hit or miss, Cat jumped away and let out another menacing Growl attack while Rat followed Cat's Bite attack with something a bit different. He ran forward and jumped in the air, just like Cat did...but instead of attacking directly, he purposely dropped below Lucky and tried to attack him from below with his Bite attack, hoping to strike a weak point. ::Rattata:: Hit by Growl & Magnitude! Used Tail Whip on Lucky and Digi! Used Bite on Lucky! [ATK: -2] ::Meowth:: Hit by Growl and Magnitude! Used Bite on Lucky! Used Growl on both! [ATK: -2]

Sam did not like where this strategy was going at all... Suddenly, he noticed himself in another huge pickle as Lucky began following the tail of the Rat and then was bit down in her back by the rat. It was a critical point for Lucky and she began to grimace in pain. She was screaming and trying to let go of the Rat but could not do so successfully. On the other hand, the Cat had jumped on the pair and had mustered another bite on Lucky. This one did not hurt as much as the Rat but it still stung her badly. She started to get very weak in her eyes and in her body movement. She was severely losing her ability to take much more damage and started to look at Sam, worried, and confused because she honestly did not know how much longer she would last... Sam gave her a soft but calm look and then said to her <"I have faith in you. Just keep it up and you will get it."> Which reassured Lucky for a minute, although she was very weak and had trouble fighting much longer... She flew up in the air and began to shoot a supersonic wave at Rat who was clearly the more powerful of the two. She hoped this would slow down the Pokémon for the time being and maybe even cause him to hurt himself instead of hurting her... She could barely take any more attacks and another combination from the pair might spell the end of her night... Then she charged at Cat and with her fists, she started to swing at him violently hoping to give him a good beating... One that showed all of her anger and frustration, for them teaming up on her and causing her so much harm... She swung three punches at him in secession, hoping to give him a very good beating for doing so much harm to her. On the other hand, Digi was happy that he again wasn't targeted and he just simply decided it might be time to take a snooze. But he quickly was interrupted by Sam before he could slack off... <"What are you doing?! Can't you see Lucky is in danger! Growl and Magnitude! Come on! Help your friend!"> Sam yelled at Digi. Digi was frustrated with his trainer but he also knew where Sam was coming from... He was letting Lucky down, Lucky was taking all the hits and he was just there not even really helping out too much. Digi felt really bad and suddenly began to growl loudly at the two again. Once he had growled at them he decided to press hard into the ground once more for another Magnitude... This one, the third magnitude he had used so far, will be the killer... At least that was the hope he had. But that didn't happen... Instead it was another magnitude like the last one, a little bit stronger but very similar to the last one... It shook the ground violently and Sam hoped that it would greatly weaken the duo as he needed to buy some time for Lucky who was struggling to hang in the match... She was sustaining a lot of attacks so far, and he honestly did not know how much more she could take... If she could even take any more... (Very Weak) (-2 attack) (-1 defense) Hit by Tail Whip + Bite. Critical Hit. Hit by Growl + Bite. Used Supersonic on Rat and Comet Punch (X3) on Cat. ::Diglett:: (100% health) (-2 attack) (-1 defense) Hit by Tail Whip. Used Growl on both and Magnitude 8 (Base Power 90) on both

Hit by Comet Punch x3 Hit by Magnitude 8 Hit By Growl Fainted!Hit by Magnitude 8 Hit by Growl Hit by Supersonic Fainted && RELEASED! Adrian grunted to herself when she noticed all the moves being used against her pokemon. Soon the pokemon that were being attacked couldn't withstand anymore damage and just plummeted to the ground. It was a horrible way to be knocked out, being hit by magnitude and then being hit by three comet punches. She returned her baby girls and put the pokeballs on her belt. "You have shown me that you are so far worthy, but you still must beat my darling boys." She took out two more pokeballs, resized them and tossed them towards the field, releasing the Natu and Wurmple from within. "Bird, Worm. Meet your opponents! Bird, use Night Shade on Diglett. Worm, use String Shot and Poison Sting on the bug.." The pokemon did as commanded, releasing their round of moves upon the victims, Diglett and Ledyba

Sam was so excited and so content when he had seen the first two Pokémon fall... He had no idea that he was going to achieve this, so it did tweak his fancy when he saw the two Pokémon fall. Then when the next two were released, he was a bit worried but also excited. It was kind of interesting though, the next two were worm and bird, which like cat and rat were such interesting names and combination... But he couldn't stop and jut be content yet... He had to fight on. The Bird released a night shade on Digi which damaged the ground type, but not as severely as Sam had originally expected. The move okay but he had definitely seen better in his lifetime. It did some damage but not enough to make him worry. And then a poison sting came at Lucky which hit her but again did not really do too much damage. He wasn't as worried anymore and he decided to take this opportunity to regain the upper hand. <"Digi use growl and then Astonish on Natu."> He commanded, knowing full well that it was super effective against the bird. Digi began to growl loudly while he was digging his way towards Natu in an attempt to strike it down with his head. He wanted to bump into Natu and cause the Pokémon a grave harm also. It was definitely an interesting and very poweful tactic if it succeeded... <"Lucky use Safeguard and then Comet Punch on the Bird."> He commanded of his 5 star Pokémon. Lucky then created a nice aura around Sam and his Pokémon which prevented any status ailment for five turns, before she focused her fist at the Bird and swung five repeated fists of fury at the Pokémon to give it a very very good beating. Sam was very content with how his Pokémon had done so far in this match... They were really impressive so far. He could only smile at the sight of his Pokémon in this competition. (Not yet weakening) (-2 attack) (-1 defense) Hit by Night Shade. Used Growl on both. Used Astonish on Bird (Super Effective if hit) (Very Weak) (-2 attack) (-1 defense) Hit by Poison Sting. Used Safeguard. Used Comet Punch (x5) on Bird. Reflect 3/5 [/b] Safeguard 1/5 [/b]

Gym Leader AdrianThis rookie trainer deeply underestimated Adrian's second pair of pokemon. The natu smirked as it flew up into the air, just before the diglett could do much damage, but he could not escape the comet punches by the ledyba. One. Two. Three. Four. Five! It was punched backwards, and landed on his feet. He ruffled his feathers, and glared at the bug pokemon. Bird may be somewhat safe on the ground, but the air was still dangerous. Adrian knew this.
The gym leader crossed her arms, "Go for it, Bird," as if she was reading the natu's mind. The natu flew back into the air, and charged at the bug pokemon, aiming to peck at it. Meanwhile, the wurmple watched as his companion was attacked. Adrian glanced over at Worm. "Tackle the diglett!" Worm nodded and crawled quickly over to the diglett.
Bird dodged astonish. hit by comet punch used peck on the ledyba.Worm used tackle on the diglett.

Ah if only Astonish had connected, that would have done a number on Bird... But luckily the comet punch had landed and those five hits must have hurt the bird a good amount as it looked like it hurt through the eyes of Sam. But it didn't seem to do enough as Ledyba was suddenly pecked at by the bird and she fell. Lucky was not so lucky to survive this any longer. She fell to the ground and was out of the battle. Sam sighed but returned her to her pokeball. <"You were seriously amazing. You deserve a great rest for all you have done. Amazing work today Lucky! You aren't only lucky, but very skillful.">Then he noticed that the worm had come after Digi and gave Digi a good tackle on his forehead. The attack hurt a bit but was also reduced greatly due to Reflect. Sam was so happy Reflect was still going on right now, even with Lucky out of commission. Such a great move, such a great pokemon. He could not believe he ever wanted to let Lucky go... It is so valuable, and so awesome. Needless to say, Digi survived the hit and came back with his own flurry... But he was stopped for a minute by Sam who threw out another pokemon before he let Digi attack. The other pokemon popped out and it was a red fire type that had quickly became one of Sam's main tools... One of his main go-to pokemon. It was his Magby, Blaze... Blaze came into the battle and looked around for orders. Sam quickly nodded at him and then said: <"Blaze, go with Smokescreen on the Bird and then Ember on the Worm."> He knew that bugs hated fire so the ember was a good bet against this bug type. He hoped that it hit and gave the worm a good scorching as he definitely could use it right now... He waned to end this with these two, his newer team... Then he looked at Digi and said <"Go with a growl to distract them and then use Astonish on bird."> He had this well strategized as the Growl and Astonish sound would make it so Digi could not be seen from sound alone... And the smokescreen was to make it so he could not be seen by sight either. It was the best thing he could think of right now. But honestly, it wasn't a bad strategy at all... ::Ledyba:: (Fainted) Hit by Peck. Super Effective Fainted.
::Diglett:: (Weakening) Hit by Tackle. Used Growl on both and Astonish on Bird
::Magby:: (Full Health) Hit by nothing. Used Smokescreen on Bird and Ember on Worm Reflect 4/5 [/b] Safeguard 2/5 [/b]

::natu::
{ Bird } Level 13 (Attack -2)(Accuracy -1) Hit by Astonish Super Effective, but low base power Leer on Both, Peck on Diglett
::wurmple::
{ Worm } Level 13 (Attack -2) Hit by Ember Super effective! Poison Sting on Magby
Agh, what was going on with this punk kid that oddly reminded her of Anthony? She sighed in annoyance when he countered her Pokemon with two super effective hits. Sure, the Ledyba was knocked out, but she had no trump card against his own Pokemon. It was going to be difficult, but she somewhat had a plan. "Bird, my lovely, give them a Leer to remember." If they were going to keep their stats down, she might as well do the same to them. The Natu curtly nodded, eyes glowing a deep, gloaming shade of black as they stared into her two opponents.
She was still sore from the frightening Astonish, but she could handle the scars from the move for now. Both her and Worm looked pretty intimidated by that first turn, especially as the poor Wurmple was still dealing with the embers. "Peck that Diglett, and Poison Sting on the Magby." She was trying to be smart here, knowing that the Diglett was the weaker of the two. Not only that, Poison Sting wouldn't be affected by Flame Body.
The two Pokemon went into action with the commands, Bird hopping after the Diglett with a beak raised right over his head, while Worm inched towards the Magby. With a determined look, she shot out a few purple stingers at his body with the hopes of poisoning him.

[OOC: I think Poison Sting is actually something that can be affected by Flame Body. In serebii it is listed as a physical move so it should be able to get affected.] Sam was happy to see that his strategy had worked to success so far, and he was glad to see that Reflect was still shielding his pokemon from the physical attacks so even though they were weakened by leer, the damage wasn't enough to make a huge difference as the reflect protected his pokemon and lessened the blow greatly. It was probably the only thing that helped Digi survive the peck... The Natu came on top of him and poked him right in the head with it's beak. The attack hurt greatly, even with the Reflect taking a good chunk of the damage. He looked very bad after the attack and Sam was worried that his Diglett would not be able to go much longer in this pace. He just had to wish for the best and hope Digi can do some more damage and possibly that he'd win before Digi faints... On the other side, Worm sent a dozen poisonous needles at Blaze which terrified the fire type. He had been poisoned before and it was seriously the worst feeling in the world. He really did not wish to be poisoned right here, right now but could not dodge it. Luckily for him, although Lucky fell she left them a treat as the safeguard that shielded him sapped the poison from the arrows and thus he was just hit with very weak arrows... This bought him some time which made Sam and made Blaze happy. Sam then ordered his pokemon to attack once more, hoping to end this soon... <"Digi use Growl and Astonish on Bird."> Sam would say but that was not the action that occurred. Digi was so exhausted from the attacks that he had no energy to let out a growl, instead he just dug at Bird in an attempt to hit the pokemon and knock it out. Sam saw this and thought it was a bit reckless and worried that it wouldn't work, so he ordered Blaze quickly to help out. <"Blaze, use smokescreen on Bird to distract her so Digi can get through without any harm. And then use ember on Worm again to damage it further."> Sam said to Blaze. Blaze let out another black fog at the direction of the Bird which covered up Digi so that the bird could not use it's sight to find the pokemon. He was very well guarded by the smokescreen which helped him attack at the right time. Then Blaze sent out another weak flame at the worm in an attempt to burn it once more. He saw how effective the last one was and just wished to do it again. This one would be great. Once the two attacks occurred, the worst thing that could possibly happen, happened... Reflect wore off and thus his pokemon were no longer protected from physical attacks... ::Diglett:: (Very Weak) (-2 attack) (-2 defense) Hit by Leer and Peck. Used Astonish on Bird.
::Magby:: (Almost full health) (-1 defense) Hit by Poison Sting and Leer. Used Smokescreen on Bird and Ember on Worm

Gym Leader AdrianThe gym leader had sighed lightly. Being the first gym leader, she had pretty weak pokemon, but she loved them to death. She watched as the fire hit her wurmple, and as it cried in pain it fell to the ground, limp. She returned him to its pokeball. She turned to her natu, surrounded by smoke, and watched as he was hit with astonish. She knew it was super effective, but her natu was strong. It still stood, even though he was very, very weak.
"Use peck on the diglett, and give it your all!" Adrian called out, and the bird nodded. It clumsily went into the air, coughing as the smoke filled his lungs, and charged towards the diglett.

Sam was excited to see that one more pokemon had fallen... This time it was the worm and when Adrian did not replace it, he assumed that the Bird was her last pokemon. Either that or she loved combinations and he had to take out both in order for the next combination to work... The bird was still standing, albeit very weak, after the Astonish and when it made it's way to Digi... He knew what would happen next. The minute Bird pecked Digi's head, his Diglett fell to the ground and fainted. Sam was considering throwing out another pokemon, this one would have been his Gligar... But he felt it unfair to throw a second when this girl didn't do that after Worm fell. Instead he decided it was best for him to just stick with his impish pokemon against the Bird. Hopefully it was enough to take down the Bird and win him the match. Although it would suck if she had another pokemon after this... And he was only using Blaze. Anyways, it was a risk he was willing to take... <"Blaze use Ember on Natu."> He said and Blaze quickly sent a small love flame at the very weak bird pokemon. He hoped that this would hit and end the night for Natu and hopefully end the gym battle... It was the best he could do. The small flame was yellow so not the hottest ever, it wasn't like a blue flame or anything. But it came in a bowl shape in hopes of trapping the Natu all together and burning every limb of the pokemon piece by piece. It was the best way to end it in Sam's opinion... Using the attack Blaze was most comfortable with. ::Diglett:: (Fainted) Hit by Peck. Fainted.
::Magby:: (Almost full health) (-1 defense) Hit by nothing. Used Ember on Worm [OOC: If I win right after this... Here is a note for whomever is doing levels since it had been saved till the very end. Ledyba: Helped to take out Rat and Cat. "So now its down to two..." Adrian's voice trailed off as her darling Natu was left to stare down her opponent-- a feisty Magby that hardly suffered any damage. It would be about who made the first move, and unfortunately for her, Natu had little reaction time after making the finishing blow to the Diglett. It left her wide open for the assault of embers that awaited her small body.
<Et tu....Brutus?> The Natu dramatically cried, having watched a bit too many soap operas, and fell to the ground. Her green feathers were singed from the flames, and at the most she tried to put them out with her wings. Only after that, did she dare faint on the field.
With a satisfied sigh, Adrian recalled Bird back into her Pokeball. The windows seemed to let in a bright light into the room, showing off the nebulous clouds that sleazily drifted on by, merging into one giant cloud. It was a good day, wasn't it? "Congratulations, you've defeated me. This is proof of your victory, the Symmetry Badge." She walked politely into the center of the field, holding out the badge, and some cash, for him to claim.
Prizes for WinningSymmetry Badge! 5,000 PD All Pokémon owned by trainer gain 1 level (including the ones that battled!)

Sam thanked Adrian for an amazing battle and he received the badge and the money and left. <"You were fantastic. I am so glad you got your Rat back. Thank you so much for everything. I learned so much from you."> Sam said as he returned Blaze and headed out the door. He was so glad to get his first badge in Cheyenne...
<"So that is the first gym leader... I think I finally belong here.">
