Adeleine gasped, they were all ganging up on Narcissus! She called over to Calcabrina. If Calcabrina didn't help Narcissus, the consequences could be very grave for the little bug. She didn't want her partner to faint out on her now!

"Calca! Help Narcissus! Use Tackle!" Calcabrina complied, tackling herself against the jigglypuff, hoping Taiki would catch on. If he dodged, the two wild Pokémon would just be forcibly pushed together. All those years of reading those books really did help her be a great at analytics! The poor girl wasn't as confident as her battle cries let out; she was very scared for Calcabrina and Narcissus. What if they got hurt? What if they got attacked themselves? She wouldn't let that get her down now, though; she had a battle here!

She held her egg tightly, she wouldn't let it get broken during the fighting! She heard faint pulsing, but nothing more. It was sort of cute! She wondered what was inside.

Time seemed to stop. Taiki became wide-eyed as the two Pokémon began to gang up on his Narcissus. At first he froze; he never thought something awful could happen in his first battle. If Narcissus lost this battle, then he would never hear the end of it! Taiki balled his hands into fists and screamed as loud as he could.

"Get out of there now!" he cried. Narcissus saw the two Pokémon coming; they both set their sights on him. How uncouth! Narcissus unfortunately used a large chunk of his stamina to shoot that much webbing to cover the boulders and it left him a tired. He dove out of the Jigglypuff's way but landed right into the Teddiursa's Scratch attack.


<"Aah! Why you-!"> he shouted. The Teddiursa's claws definitely stuck; there were scars on his side and it was bleeding just a little bit. His little stature wouldn't be able to take too many hits. Taiki began to get worried. Adeleine was trying her best to help and he couldn't just stare at his Pokémon while he was supposed to be fighting. He gritted his teeth as he shouted.

"Use String Shot on that creep and Tackle the hell out of him!" he cried. Narcissus glared at his target as he shot a large clump of webbing at the Teddiursa. He then dove with all his might at him with all of his might.

“Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” the Teddiursa was bowled backwards by the combination of the Stringshot and Tackle. The little ursine Pokémon had been trying to get the stringshot off his face when the worm Pokémon had come barreling at him. And Narcissus the Caterpie had hit him hard! But the Teddiursa didn't go whining from the pain, he swiped a quick scratch the way of the Caterpie.

“Yes, the lord of darkness will enjoy your measly soul, worm-thing!” the little bear Pokémon roared. This battle was not going to be lost by him, true warriors didn't lose! And his Jigglypuff prey companion was here to help him too, at least until the Pink Pokémon who had been focusing on the battle between her bearfriend and the worm Pokémon to the point she didn't notice Calcabrina the Castform flying towards her in a tackle. The Route 1 girl let out a pained squeak at it, but then turned and immediately swung for a pound.

“Oooooh. Eeeemm. GEEEE. NO YOU JUST DID NOT!” the Jigglypuffed bellowed at the top of it's lungs. No one attacked it from behind! No one!

Calcabrina felt that pound, because she was sent careening backwards and recovered near Adeleine. Adeleine wasn't sure they could win at this rate...but then she remembered those weird candies she picked up. She took both rare candies out of her bag and fed them to Calcabrina; she made sure to carefully place the egg down and pick it up again so it wouldn't burst. Calcabrina sniffed them, unsure of the contents.

<"They smell sweet, candy!"> She proudly exclaimed, before munching both of them. She felt suddenly that she had a new increase in strength! Without Adeleine even ordering it, she rammed the jigglypuff once more in what would hopefully be the final straw. Adeleine looked on amazed, she didn't expect the candies to have that effect! She stopped frowning and reversed it into a smile; she had a bit of hope in Calcabrina and her partner.

Taiki saw that Adeleine had powered up her Castform with some strange candies as well as the sudden boost in confidence. Seeing this as an ample moment in time to return the favor, he pointed towards Calcabrina.

"String Shot on Calcabrina and swing yourself into a Tackle!" he shouted. Narcissus, still furious, jumped backwards away from the Teddiursa and reluctantly turned his attention from the Little Bear Pokémon to the Weather Pokémon. He shot a String Shot onto the diving Calcabrina's head and allowed himself to fly along with her. Since she was already about to strike the Jigglypuff, he swung himself around behind his partner and made a beeline straight for the Balloon Pokémon with a violent Tackle attack.

Pokemon battle !

Teddiursa was appalled that he was once again ignored. <Hit me! Hit meee!> He hissed angrily, finding the absence of pain to be even more painful than its presence. Targetting the especially irritating Castform, he sprang forward and parted his jaws to let out his tongue. He intended to lick the hell out of that little... weather ghost thing.

Jigglypuff, too, was displeased that she was the sole target of the turn. <Like, double u tee eff?> She said, her expression one of disbelief. Calcabrina's Tackle hit her in the face immediately after her outcry, her expression transforming into a grimace at the pain. Soon after, a Caterpie swinging on a nasty piece of string slapped her in the face as well. <Oh em gee! This is NOT the way to treat a girl!> She scoffed.

Her injuries slowing her down, the pink puffball chased after the fleeting figure of the Caterpie and attempted to pound some manners into the insect.

The lick was gross, but had absolutely nothing threatening otherwise.

<"Ew! Gross!"> Calcabrina exclaimed, before completely ignoring the Teddiursa in favor for another tackle on Jigglypuff! Adeleine was a bit undone, as Calcabrina was doing whatever she wanted.

"Hey, Calca. Tackle on the jigglypuff! Taiki..." She jogged over to him quickly.

"Batter up?" She smiled coyly, the first time she looked mischevous in this entire battle. If things went their way, they could win this entire battle. Adeleine held onto the egg tightly, a bit worried but confident in both her and Taiki. They could do this!

Narcissus couldn't dodge in time unfortunately. He was hit squarely across the face with Jigglypuff's inflated fist stubby arm and sent back in the air. Narcissus, however, was still pumped from being hit the first time. The second time only made it worse, though he was being weakened; his defenses were still pretty poor. Taiki met with Adeleine's eyes and looked back towards his Pokémon.

"Get that bear and swing him at the other one. let's take that pink ball of hot air right out of commission," said Taiki. Narcissus shot a fast string of webbing around the Teddiursa's feet and attempted to pull him right off of his feet! If the Teddiursa's legs gave away then Narcissus would swing with all of his might to smash him into the Jigglypuff, causing her to fly directly into Calcabrina's Tackle. Narcissus would also then use his own Tackle on Jigglypuff for extra measure.

Oh snap! They were going to try to team up on her again? Oh hell no. Puffing up, brow furrowed the pink puff ball hardened her body against the incoming attacks.

As both Tackles struck she could feel her health wavering, but if there was one thing a jigglypuff was good at, it was enduring a battle. Besides, hell hath no fury like a Diva scorned.

"You're like, totally going to pay for that!" she declared storming forward, ready to slap that stupid worm upside the head for hitting her yet again! Such ugliness was not permitted to touch her beautiful and glossy fur.

Licking his lips the small bear slowly moved forwards as well, weighted down by the sticky strings the worm had sprayed on him but moments ago, but determined to crush the worm pokemon's spirits, and see the look of defeat on its face.

Leering at the caterpie, his eyes glittering with malicious intent, the teddiursa swung one clawed hand towards the bug type, eager to see its blood and hear its shrill cries of pain.

Adeleine cheered when the attacks all connected, but they all started ganging up on Narcissus. This wasn't the most great situation; she was in a daze about what to do. Calcabrina, however; was much more domineering and went for Tackle on Jigglypuff. This meant, however; the pound was redirected at her. Calcabrina squealed, but still continued a point-blank Tackle on Jigglypuff's face.

Adeleine watched, rather helplessly, as Calcabrina completely disregarded her again. Calcabrina was a smart one, yes, but Adeleine worried about her taking direct blows like that! She reached into the trainer's shared stock of potions and pulled one out. She made sure her egg was safely on the ground, not getting broken.

"Here, you should give this to Narcisuss. He'll probably need it." She handed it to him, before returning to the battle. She managed to keep her cool, motherly persona without completely freaking out. She seemed tough-as-nails, but was a fourteen-year-old girl deep down.

Narcissus had all eyes on him. On one hand, this was preferable for him but not during battle. On the other, this Jigglypuff was still not down! How many strikes will they need to deflate that hot air balloon?! He didn't have time to think before he was fell for a Leer attack and was then Scratched directly across the face once more by the Teddiursa. He went flying back towards his trainer and landed by his feet.

"Narcissus! Are you okay?" he asked in ditress. He knelt down to his Worm Pokémon with the he received from Adeleine. He carefully sprayed his Pokémon with the item and saw Narcissus squirm a little from the sting. "Please be okay. We can't let Adeleine and Calcabrina fight by themselves. It would be unfair! Besides, that sadistic Teddiursa is just the kind of influence we need!" said Taiki with a smile. Narcissus got up off the ground, looking better than before. He had a slight blush in his cheeks from the aid he received from his trainer.


<"Thank you, master... I won't let that fatass put me down! I'll beat her into a pulp!"> said the Caterpie with confidence. he turned around to face the two Pokémon, ready for action.

Pokemon battle !

Jigglypuff couldn't hope to even dodge the Tackle that Calcabrina launched at her since he'd gone in while she was attacking. At the sudden pain that followed, she realized that she was extremely weak; there was no way she could stand if she fell to this attack. The pink Pokémon tottered backwards from the impact, struggling to stay upright and continue battling, but it was simply too exhausting to force herself. Giving a girlish squeal, she fell to the ground. <Eww, now my fur's all dirty!> She wailed quietly before allowing her eyes to shut.

Turning to look down at his fallen comrade, the Teddiursa growled, <Dang it! I wanted to do that first!> He scowled at the Castform who had landed the finishing blow, charged at her, and prepared his claws to rake them across the ghostly fiend's face.

<"Finally! She's down and out. I was tired of hearing her stupid voice!!"> said Narcissus in triumph. Thank you, Calcabrina! Though he would never actually say it out loud...

"Great shot, Calabrina," said Taiki. He gave a thumbs up to Adeleine for her quick thinking and generosity during the battle. He turned back to see Teddiursa left; it rushed in to attack Calcabrina. He pointed at the Little Bear Pokémon but Narcissus was already getting there. He sped towards the Teddiursa with a Tackle.

Adeleine, happy that the Teddiursa was stopped before he could reach Calcabrina, swiftly set her egg down before taking out another potion. She ran over to Calcabrina, and sprayed it on it's cuts and bruises and sore spots.

<"Ow!"> Calcabrina cried, but Adeleine just shushed her like a baby. Calcabrina tried to back away, but Adeleine forcefully held her in place.

"Now, now dear. It hurts, but it only helps you." Adeleine chided, before putting the empty potion bottle back inside her bag and picking the egg back up. She felt a kick! The intense battle must be making the egg get excited. Adeleine made sure that everything was okay. With their endless supply of potions, they couldn't lose. She waltzed back over to Taiki, while Calcabrina went to rejoin the fight.

"Taiki, we've got a problem...who's going to catch what?" She really wanted that jigglypuff, but if Taiki wanted it she'd probably settle for the Teddiursa.

The Teddiursa looked at the Caterpie with rather calm eyes as he was hit by the tackle. The bear had crashed towards the ground and landed on a stray rock. His eyes was welling up in tears as he stood back up.

<No one.. has ever made me feel so much pain..>

The Teddiursa then smirked as he lifted his palms above his head, the moon symbol on his head almost shining as if it was some kind of stone. This entire thing was just weird for anyone except the bear.

<Fantastic! Great! Wonderful! Gimme more! MORE! Throw me down a waterfall and let my body crash towards the rocks!>

As he started to scream out his lust for more damage anyone who was not that bear would think he was a madman and question if that was his normal attitude or if the pain in his body was getting to him. It was if he was in some kind of ecstasy.

However he was enjoying the pain, the damage was starting to really get to his body. It would not take much before he joined the Jigglypuff in dreamland ready to be packed in too a tight ball.

Giving atleast one more try to damage the Caterpie he launched himself at him with his claws ready to claw out his very insides.

Taiki pondered about Adeleine's quesiton; there were two Pokémon and it would only be fair to split the captures between the two of them. He didn't really care much for the Balloon Pokémon; it was way too annoying. He would probably pop it himself if he could.

"You can take the Jigglypuff, Adeleine. You took it out after all. Besides, I don't think I'd be patient enough to deal with such an annoying accent," he replied. He turned his attention back to the Teddiursa once more.

"Dodge it, Narcissus! Then String Shot and Tackle!" shouted Taiki. The Caterpie jumped back after sending the Teddiursa backwards with his previous Tackle. He then sprayed a clump of thick webbing towards the Teddiursa before running after it to follow up with a final Tackle!

Adeleine nodded, she didn't show it but she was extremely elated. She didn't really care for the teddiursa, the jigglypuff was more her thing. She was glad it fainted off to the side and wasn't getting hurt, and the Teddiursa seemed to be going down soon. She gave one last hurrah, before pointing at the teddiursa once more.

"Calca, use Tackle!" Adeleine said softly, before Calcabrina used all her might to ram into the teddiursa. Calcabrina was focused, she wouldn't let Adeleine down!

Adeleine made sure her egg was okay, still cradled in her arms. She wondered if the egg made her look paranoid to Taiki, as he hadn't said anything about it. She got it from that guy while they split up...but he hadn't said anything about it. Maybe he was just waiting? That made sense, bringing it up in the middle of a battle might seem rude.

As both the Castform and the Caterpie crashed into the Teddiursa, he was knocked back so far and hard that he crashed in too the ground and bounced off it.

This battle was like a bonanza for him. All this pain that was delivered on this hallowed ground. The tackle attacks were quite debonair for the Teddiursa. However this entire battle has been somewhat of a heuristic experience for hi and at the same time the pain worked as a mithdrate to his "poison".

<The pain.. sorrow.. I wish death upon you all..>

Coming from this particular Teddiursa it was most likely a compliment as he fainted.

Taiki smiled as he and Adeleine finally defeated their opponents. It was his first double battle and it was quite exciting! narcissus held his head up high in triumph and aloofness. Taiki walked up to his Caterpie and gently rubbed his head affectionately.

"You were great, Narcissus. It was only your first battle and you're already doing so well. I'm proud of you," said Taiki. Narcissus looked up at his trainer with the rosiest cheeks he had ever seen. He nuzzled his trainer's hand.


<"Thank you, master! You don't know how much that means to me..."> said Narcissus. Taiki looked over to the Teddiursa and tossed a Poké Ball at it. He then turned to Adeleine.

"Is your egg alright? I was worried since the fight was getting a little out of hand," he asked. Regardless of winning the battle, they did not need any casualties. It would be heartbreaking to lose a baby Pokémon before it even hatched. Meanwhile, Narcissus was covering himself in a thick webbing without his trainer knowing about it...

Adeleine gave out a content sigh when the final pokemon had went down. She went over to Calcabrina and gave her a big hug for her efforts.

"Good job Calca, you deserve it." Calcabrina giggled, flying all around and spun in circles. She was so excited, she didn't even notice that she spit out water or conjured fire or ice! They all neutralized each other, but it made Adeleine jump back.

"Oh, new attacks?" She took out her now functional pokedex, and scanned Calcabrina. She seemed to learn three new attacks, great.

"Water Gun, Powder Snow, and Ember; great!" Adeleine said rather cheery before returning Calcabrina back into her pokeball. She returned it to the bag at her side, before Taiki ran over to her. He asked about her egg, so she was right about him.

"Ah, it's fine. I bought it before we met up that second time. By the way, what were you doing when we split up? Oh, I'm being nosy, forgive me. We should really talk more." She inquired, cradling the fragile egg in her hands once more. She then remembered the jigglypuff! She ran over to its body and tapped it with a pokeball.

"Rest easy, dear." She said before watching her hopeful capture unfold. Working with Taiki was a breeze, she was glad! They were already becoming good friends in a short amount of time.
