When Sierra came to her aid Nevoa gave a huge sigh of relief before grinning at her friend. "You're a lifesaver... Well guitar saver"
She beamed at the gray haired female before her. It was then she noticed that the strange pokemon and it's butt face of an owner were walking towards them... Or should she say her since Sierra oh so nicely ditched her to rave about her pokemon. Thanks for the back up buddy. When Seath however got closer she couldn't help but smile brighter as she knelt down to sit in the grass on her knees, her guitar on her lap. She reached out a hand when the wolf like pokemon got within range and petted it's head. "Well aren't you just a little cutey."She laughed out lightly. For the most part she didn't pay attention to the trainer, she knew he was there but she couldn't help but keep her attention on the pokemon before her. Then an idea hit her. "Have you ever heard music before?" Nevoa grinned. She'd give the pokemon the insight of music! But not just it. She'd give it to that nasty anti-social trainer too! Hahaha. She was so clever. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

There were too many things going on, and he was at the centre of all the action. This was not somewhere he liked to be. His preferred location was in the strategy tent, looking over the whole situation, or behind the front lines where he could support and observe the battle at the same time. In the centre, where his pokemon had pulled him into, Soren was vulnerable, he was flustered, and he did not know what to do. Information was coming in on all fronts, with the water pokemon at his feet, two of the girls on one end, and his ookira fraternizing with yet another human. How was he to react? How was he to understand what they all wanted?
The poliwag had wandered up to him, its squeaky voice somehow forming words, and the two humans were conversing about… he strained a bit to concentrate on the action. Introductions. The first step in forming a bond between humans. And there there was the other girl, holding the instrument, who was offering to play music to his pokemon. The only music he remembered was from the bards that played to cheer the soldiers on. His pokemon didn't seem to care; the trainer was petting her. He clenched and unclenched his hands again, his nails leaving little crescent marks in his palms --to calm himself down a little and to remind himself that he could not just run away--, before sending the water pokemon a glance and grunted an acknowledgment. He had heard, but did not really know how to respond to that.
Seath rubbed her head into the hand and was a bit disappointed when it left. She was then asked about music. What was music? She vaguely remembered the howling of her pack, when she had just hatched from her egg. Her trainer wasn't the music type of guy either, so the concept was a little foreign to her. Seath stared at Nevoa with a quizzical look on her face.

Kai nodded watching Seryl with interest. It was more of an attempt to avoid looking at the other trainers, and it gave her something to focus on other than her nerves, which were standing on end from Ripple being around Soren. “Kai,” She responded in a quiet voice. Her eyes glazed over as she zoned out, her head resting on one knee.
Ripple bounced around Soren, not familiar with the term awkward. <Can we play Sir? I wanna play with some water!> He said excitedly. Even though Soren mostly disregarded him, Ripple decided he liked Soren and Heath.

Sierra took Kai's silence badly, but stifled her desire to say something rude to her. She seemed like someone that's been hurt before, and the last thing she wanted to do was add to that pain. "That's a nice name," She replied with a soft smile. She then turned to see that the wolf had pawed her way over to Nevoa.
Then her brown-haired friend mentioned music. Sierra immediately agreed. "Yes, you should try hearing her songs! They're simply lovely," She said, further persuading the little black wolf to listen to her friend's songs. The grey-haired girl really wanted to hear the music too, herself - she missed it, even though the brown-haired girl had played just a few moments before. The music was like magic to her.

Not being able to resist, Nevoa laugh lightly at the confusion on the pokemon's face. Her hand once more reached out to pet the Ookira. It was here that she couldn't help but wonder where to find such a beautiful pokemon, having never heard of one before. She made a mental note to check her pokedex for any clue later and if nothing, to call Professor Thomas on her pokenav the next morning.
Nev raised her brown eyes to Sierra as she encouraged the thought of her playing music. Grinning she stood up, removing her hand from the wolf pokemon's head and placed it instead over the hole of the guitar, barely touching the strings so the didn't vibrate. Her other hand reached towards the neck as a sigh escaped her mouth. "Well. Uh, here goes."
Her right hand's fingers drifted with ease over the strings and her left hand moved through the cords with ease. The music was fairly simple but a grin sat unwavering on her face as she played. She was such as ease when she played! Then she remembered something. "Sierra, you wanted to hear the song I was playing earlier right?" She questioned thought she already knew the answer. "Well here you go." Nevoa's fingers slide to their new places, the song changed but she seemed to weave the two together at first before pulling out the new one. Humming a few bars before she looked up at the people before her. She had completely forgotten that more then just her, Seath, and Sierra were there. 'Just pretend their trees. She thought to herself quickly as she glance back to her guitar so that she couldn't see them. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

Music was good, Soren thought, as the girl started playing. The attention was not on him anymore, and even though Sierra's attention was now in his general direction, at least it was directed toward the human. He was safe from scrutiny and it gave him a little bit of space to breathe. Or he would have if the poliwag would just back off a bit. He was okay with flying types, he understood them, and they understood him, but with anything else, he found himself stumped. Besides, this one was just so friendly and almost clingy that his personal space had been violated -- which had actually been breached the moment Seath pulled him into the group. And though Soren had nothing against water, he was not particularly interested in playing with another trainer's pokemon -- was it even something that was done? Or was it considered rude? -- not did he want to get wet. His response to the poliwag was a blank stare that was almost a glare, the way his eyebrows furrowed just a bit. And then the reminder that music was a good thing, as he was saved from verbally answering the question once Nevoa started to play.
Seath was enjoying the songs, lying on her belly for the first part while her eyes stared at the girl, though glancing back at her own trainer once in a while to make sure Soren hadn't left. As the song made a transition into another piece, Seath stood up and barked a couple of times, though sometimes it was so high-pitched it was almost a chirrup. It was not exactly in tune, nor did it follow the beat, but it was the pokemon's way of showing her appreciation. A pack normally sung together, all the members howling to show unity, and the music allowed the instinct in her to surface.

[[Occ:// Cruddy post, couldnt think of anything. Where are we going with this anyways?]]
Ripple danced around Seath playfully, enjoying the Pokémon’s company. He bounced over to Seryl, trying to convince the Cranidos to join them. <Come on! It’ll be fun!> He grinned. Kai watched them with a pinch of sadness. She wished she could be that carefree, not so sheltered and nervous all the time. Her eyes drifted to Soren. To her, it was clear he was uncomfortable with the situation. Looking over Nevoa and her guitar, she sighed. Nevoa clearly had an escape from this and that was in her music. Her glance drifted to Sierra. Was it possible for Sierra to feel as awkward as Kai did now? To Kai, she seemed so at ease this entire time.

{{oh, wherever it ends up. we didn't plan any of it}}
Sierra's face turned into a smile when Nevoa offered to play her request. When the brown haired girl's delicate fingers began to strum that beautiful song, she could feel her worries float away from her. The melody enveloped her, and she stayed completely silent as she played. The girl took a glance at Soren and saw, with displeasure, that he didn't seem to be enjoying the song at all. What a crime! She thought, but what was to be expected from such a sullen man? She sighed and looked back towards Kai, who seemed jittery and nervous. Thinking she needed some reassurance, she crept over and whispered in her ear - "Do you like her song? It's beautiful, isn't it?" She stated.
Meanwhile, her Cranidos was still sitting next to her ankle and listening to the lovely song when suddenly Ripple came over and told him to come with him. He tilted his head to one side. <.. What will be fun?> He asked, but shrugged and followed the little tadpole anyway. The hard-headed pokemon was pretty bored and needed something to do. Walking over to Seath, he held out his paw. <Pleased to meet you. And you,> He turned to Ripple. Turning back to the wolf, he asked, <So it seems you enjoy the company of other trainers. What do you think about your own?> He asked out of curiosity.

Nevoa gave an almost musical laugh as she watched Seath bark to the guitar. She took it as a good sign. She couldn't help but grin at the thought of sharing the joy of music to the poor pokemon with such a stingy trainer.
As the song took to the closing, she rested her strumming hand on the top of the guitar and left the other hanging at her side. She squatted back down to the Ookira, closer to the black furred pokemon's level. "So? How did you like it?"
Brown eyes glanced up to the other trainers around her. It was sort of her silent invitation for them to give their opinions too though she wouldn't say anything to them directly. Her nerves were kicking in full gear by now. 'What if they didn't like it? Oh gosh! What if I suck and never knew it?! I've been playing horrible music every I've been. Mercy to any ears that are now bleeding from it...' Worse case scenario much? ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

{{I'm probably going to release Seath after this thread, as I just noticed that customs had been taken out of the site quite a while ago. In the meantime, um, a dysfunctional double battle might be interesting.}} The wolf pokemon had a wide grin on her face and barked again, letting out a little "oo!" sound, indicating her pleasure and affirmation. She pushed her nose against the trainer's face and sniffed at her hair, making sure to remember her scent before licking the girl on the face. As if to avoid her action's repercussions, the pokemon bounded away to join the other creatures, cutting into the conversation.
<Hello! I'm Seath!> she said, proudly parking her butt next to the two pokemon. <And my trainer is the BEST in the world!> Though she knew of her trainer's faults and slightly less than communicable self, he was still her favourite, out of all the trainers she had met in her short lifetime. She was proud of him, and did not mind his odd quirks -- okay that was a lie. It sometimes did annoy her, quite a bit even, but he always treated her nice and made sure she was taken care of -- and wouldn't trade him for the world.
Soren just stayed silent, looking away, toward the side, avoiding eye-contact. He could feel the blood rush to his face as his pokemon talked with the others. Best? Was he? Sometimes he doubted himself, wondered if he was doing the right thing for her and the rest of his pokemon. But mostly Seath. She was just so different from all his others, and he did feel guilty, trapping her inside her pokeball so often when she obviously preferred the fresh air along with the company he could not provide.

Kai nodded in agreement. Keeping her soft voice really quiet, she replied, “It is. Uhmm…Do you get an odd feeling about this guy?” She was indirectly looking at Soren, trying not to let the hairs on her neck standing on end bother her. She tugged on her shirt’s sleeves, pulling them over her small hands.
Ripple was happy to be around the other Pokémon. <He seems to care about you a lot Seath. Not a big fan of bubbles though!> Ripple teased the Ookira playfully. He rocked back and forth on his tiny legs, free of care from any trouble the other trainers may have had.

Sierra turned to Nevoa with a huge smile, appreciative of her for playing the song again for her. She took the girl's hand and shook it enthusiastically. "It was just as beautiful as it was before! Thank you." Said the grey-haired teen gratefully, smiling around the candy she'd placed in her mouth. Then, knowing she was having a conversation with Kai as well, she turned slightly to face her.
Sierra smiled at Kai's answer but her gaze once more softened as she confided about Soren to her. In response to the girl's worried statement, she couldn't help but laugh louder than necessary. After a moment, though, she held her hands over her mouth which managed to stifle.. well, a little of it to say the least. Finally, though, her mirth left her, and she wiped her laughter-induced tears away from her eyes as she regained her composure. "That's priceless..." She responded, attempting to keep her voice a bit low. "But yeah, I feel kind of the same way." Her voice had dropped to a whisper as she spoke to Kai.
Her Cranidos shrugged a little. <I don't know. I'm getting an odd vibe from him, if you catch my drift.> He said, matter-of-factly. Crossing his arms thoughtfully, he continued. <Although he does seem like he has some good in him.>

When Nevoa had looked up she could honestly say she wasn't expecting the Pokémon to stick it's nose in her face or lick it on top of it. While the Ookira bounded away after it's actions had been completely, Nevoa was still squatting at the ground only now stock still. 'What just happened?'
The only thing that brought her out of her shock was Sierra grabbing her hand and shaking it like a crazed woman. When her arm was free, Nev stood up and smiled at her friend. "Well it's no biggie."
Her face fell however when Sierra busted out laughing at what the other girl had said. '...What?' Confusion took over her sad face. Maybe it was her music? No... Probably something else... Just bad timing... Yeah that was it.. Nevoa's gaze glanced over to the male. What was his name? What was the girl's too? Oh she was so anti-social... Instead of talking further like someone with social skills, she instead stood silent, fingers tapping lightly, with no real direction, on her guitar. Her brown eyes drifted upwards to stare at the stars again. Isn't that why she had come to the park to begin with. Least before she ran into Sierra... Almost quite literally. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪

Soren did his best to remain calm, to remain as if he had heard nothing. His hearing had always been above average, and it did help his satisfy his curiosity at times. It was always a good thing to be able to hear private conversations, but sometimes it just stung. Humans. They always did mock him behind his back, always did laugh at him. These ones were no different, it would seem. The little pokemon DNA he had in him reacted to his emotions, and though his face remained unchanged, he could feel the wind pick up around him and his skin prickle just a little bit. A hand went to smooth over the little goosebumps that appeared on his skin. It didn't seem to do much, especially when his pokemon started to run her mouth. Without reacting to any of the words, he started to go through the possible reactions and trying to find the best way to counter those reactions.
Seath seemed to take a little offence in the Cranidos' words. Her trainer was just as good as any others, and this dinosaur had no right in calling him odd. Her normally jovial mood was replaced by a much serious tone. <Just because he's half of a-> The little wolf caught herself before she could say anything else and looked at her trainer worriedly. She hadn't wanted to spill his secrets like this. Soren hated being reminded that he was only half a pokemorph. Her eyes scanned the traner's face, but was unable to read anything, but if the aura he was giving out was any indication, she knew that she had said too much already. She turned back to face the Cranidos. <What he-… It makes him a better trainer than any other human out there.>

Kai stood up from her kneeling position. It was time to stop being intimidated. Perhaps a battle would loosen her up a bit. “Since we are all trainers…” She paused suddenly feeling too out front about the topic, “Maybe we should have a battle?” She dug her hands into her pocket glancing over at the Pokémon rather than the trainers themselves.
Ripple looked curious. Half what? His trainer’s talk of a battle distracted him, making him bounce it excitement. Battling was very interesting for him, although at first he was not a fan of battling his friends. <Battle battle battle!>

::sierra:: /// At the sound of the word, Sierra immediately perked up. "Battle, you say?" She asked, with a grin on her face. A battle would actually be pretty fun. Thought the girl, excited about the suggestion. She'd been itching for something from this experience - perhaps a battle would satisfy her need for entertainment.
"So then," Mused she, "who's going to battle who? I could go for any type, singles or doubles!" She exclaimed with a smile.

Nevoa glanced back at the group at the mention of a battle. That could be fun since she had never been in a trainer battle before. On the bright side she understood the basics of it so it wasn't so bad. However Sierra brought up a very interesting question. Single or double?
Brown eyes glance at the three trainers before her and she frowned. She knew none of their pokemon, let alone any of their moves or team skills. What if they had an ignorant pest of a pokemon that felt teamwork was stupid and that they were going to do everything themselves.... Hopefully their trainer had some control over said rampant pokemon but that's just another situation. What if she got Soren?! He hardly talked during this whole meeting and when he did, half the time it wasn't overly... polite. What if his pokemon were worse? Besides that cute little Ookira of course. Then there was Kai and her bubble blowing blue ball of evil....
She could only hope that if it was a team battle that life would bless her and give her Sierra as a partner. She could only hope.

The prospect of a battle seemed to calm him down as everyone's attention was adverted from his pokemon's blunder. He almost wanted to thank the girl that mentioned it, but he doubted she would understand. He couldn't take much of this anymore, feeling his limit close by. He wasn't used to this many emotions running through him. A battle would be a change of pace, something for him to focus on, though whether he was ready to work with another one of these trainers, he did not know. He did not know them enough to understand their actions and motives, to be able to discern their thought patterns. However, his personal preferences was still in double battles. He felt more comfortable knowing that he wasn't the only one he could count on. The decision wasn't his to make, though. With three of the female humans around, his decision would go unheard, anyways.
Seath's ears perked up at the thought of a battle, but then flattened down onto her skull. Battle? She... she did not really want to. She much preferred to play and socialize and hated hurting other trainer's pokemon -- she wanted them to like her. She looked at the pokemon. The water one seemed content enough to battle, but she hoped that her trainer would not send her into the fray as well.

Kai contemplated the question. Singles is less panic like, I wouldn’t have to be paired with any of them. But doubles sounds interesting… “I am okay with either, so it is up to you three. I mean...there are enough people for a double battle,” She spoke softly receding from being the decision maker. She eyed Ripple, wondering which Pokémon she would call upon for the battle. Quietly she was going over her team and their strengths and weaknesses.
Ripple looked over at Seath with some interest. <Is something wrong Seath?> He had noticed her ears flatten on her head as though she was scared or disliked battling. <It’s okay if you don’t wanna battle you know,> He tried to sound sympathetic as he recalled his first time battling a Pokémon friend. Thinking of Jace made him smile.

s i e r r a c a t a l y n n ; Sierra grinned happily at the prospect of a double battle. Looking around, the only one she really wanted to team up with was Nevoa. However, she didn't think Kai and Soren would be a very good team together. Thinking for a moment, she wouldn't mind battling alongside any of them.
After this contemplation, she scanned the three people standing in her vicinity. Raising her pointer finger, she performed the intelligent game of eeny-meeny-miney-mo. She started from Nevoa, chanting the song softly. "Eeny, meeny, miney, mo. Catch the Growlithe by his toe. If he hollers let him go. Eeny meeny miney mo. My mother said to pick the very best one and you.. are.."
She stood surprised as her finger stopped on Soren. Him? Really? Puzzled, she tried it again from Nevoa and saw that it again landed on the antisocial man. Her mind turned a bit foggy, but she decided to be fair.
"Me and.. this guy," She suggested, realizing she didn't get his name, "against Kai and Nevoa?" She was starting to hate this idea already.
