Silva sniffed and stood up, frowning angry. He too knew the outcome of such a battle. He didn't stand a chance.
"No." Silva replied fiercey. "I take no pleasure in seeing my pokemon getting hurt. I don't understand why anyone would want to fight." He sneered, getting more angry by the minute.
He was still the stunning androgynous gypsy, but beneath the skin, the anger was boiling. He'd just been assaulted by wild pokemon, and now this trainer wanted to take him up in such an honor less fight? He gathered his bag, his musical instrument and nudged his pokemon to follow him. "Find another victim to vent your aggression on. I'd rather be impolite then cruel!" OOC: Silva...politely declines. Screw fighting! Coordinating ftw!

● Uses Worry Seed on Blaze - The Shroomish nodded with each comment that Silva said, albeit never seeing himself as a 'yes man', he couldn't help but agree. After the experience they went though, it would have been cowardly to try and fight them. So much, that it ticked the little guy off. His eyes scanned up at the ominous human that was clothed in black, not liking his attitude in the slightest.
- He had a trick to get others to change their minds, and it all came down to a sneaky little move taught to him by his father, who was also a Shroomish. A tough one at that, who roamed to farther places, in search of a better life. He looked up to the man, oh yes he did. With a snicker, a very tiny seed popped out of the top of his head, practically unnoticeable. That is, until it sprang out of his top like a ball of hail from the sky, just heavy enough to make the distance to Blaze's neck.
- If anything, it would've felt like a small pebble being tossed at the soft area. Nothing that would hurt, but once the worry inducing seed was on there, it would take a while to remove. It was the curse of...never sleeping. Very cruel. <That was a warning.> He growled, getting protective of the group behind him.

That... was not done. Trainers did not refuse a battle. Well, this was interesting, at least. And then the worry seed hit him. Blaze hadn't even noticed it, still a bit shocked that a trainer would have the galls to go against years of tradition and just... walk away. Suddenly, he felt quite awake, but with his body still wanting to sleep. The trainer's face went from sleepy and having fun to awake and ready to kill. That pokemon had just used worry seed on him. And Blaze had not had enough sleep yet, but would be unable to do so until the attack faded.
"I'm sorry, I don't think you understand," he told the trainer that was walking away. "When two trainer's eyes meet, they must battle each other. You can't just... walk away," he said, easily picturing the mushroom pokemon completely fried to a crisp. The trainer then touched Ryuuku's side. At the contact, the large pokemon flew into the air before landing in Silva's path of retreat."Especially now that I'm unable to go back to sleep thanks to this pest." Blaze thought about it for a moment. The shroomish wasn't really the other trainer's pokemon yet, so he technically had the rights to completely destroy the small pokemon. "If you do insist on walking away, you'll have to leave that shroomish behind," he then added. There was no need to guess what the grass pokemon will become if Silva decided to abandon it. Blaze was ready to kill, and his Charizard had nothing against that train of thhought. "In an official battle, though, pokemon are protected against fatal injuries, so it's your choice." Not that there was a real choice. Ryuuku took quite a large space in the forest, and going around him, especially when his wings were outstretched, would take quite a bit of effort.

Silva growled and quickly picked up the little Shroomish, holding him protectively in his arms. Hoothoot and Sentret were hiding behind his legs. They didn't want to go fight something that could kill them by sneezing.
"So, you're the sadist who enjoys the pain and suffering of others? I'm not a pokemon trainer, so there. I /befriend/ them, maybe you ought to try that. Pokemon arn't tools of war or destruction." He pleaded, though becoming quite cautious of the other. He looked ready to kill. Sending Sentret and Hoothoot back in their respective pokeballs to rest, he had only Shroomish to worry about. And himself. "If you want to fight so badly, fight me. I won't let others be hurt on my account." He hissed, wishing he could do more to protect Shroomish. But he was weak. He was lonely. No family to protect him, he was forced to run or surrender. But anything was better than fighting.

So this was one of those kind of trainers, that went around befriending Pokémon left and right. "Well that is a very honourable way to live," said Blaze, more than just a bit sarcastically. "But you won't survive for long in this world if you do not battle." Though Blaze would not admit that he too used to be like that, living in a world of sweet roses. Of course, he had never been that stupid and ignorant, refusing battles from other. "And if you must know," he continued, in a much more serious tone, "I'm just following orders. If you have a problem with it, you can take it to the head." And at the thought of anyone complaining to Syl about this, Blaze almost cracked a smile. As if the other would care.
That was not a lie, of course. He really was out here in route one because he had been ordered to. Make the lives of the Cheyenne Trainers hell, and steal their Pokémon while you're at it. Simple orders, can be interpreted in many different ways. And, of course, there was his own goal of seeing how much the land as degraded and to find out how weak the trainers were, now. But this guy said that he wasn't a trainer. What did he mean by that? Weren't all of the people walking down the route trainers? Then it dawned on him as he remembered the new buildings that littered every town. He was one of those pansy coordinators. Even more the reason to beat him up. "But really, I do not fight trainers. Pokémon have evolved to adapt to fighting, but humans would never survive. A flamethrower would kill you, but the shroomish would just faint, but recover. By not allowing them to fight, you are actually insulting them, telling them that you don't trust in them enough."

Following orders? Then this was just another person who did not lead his own life. Silva flicked his long hair over his shoulder in a feminine way.
Silva shrugged. "An insult? I think it's more insulting to think we are better than pokemon. That we have the right to order them around, and order them to fight for us." He smiled gently. This was something he had been taught by his family. They had been breeders and good people. Wanderers yes, and often hates for that, but still, good people. "My pokemon can decide for themselves if they want to fight. And clearly, they were scared of being roasted. I can't blame them. No honor to be found in beating up the weak." ::Shroomish:: Silva rubbed the Shroomish over the head. The little thing seemed quite oblivious to the argument, snuggling against Silva's chest and outing quiet musings.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm heading to the pokemon center." He hissed, his blue eyes fierce in a 'just try and stop me' manner. OOC: Don't forget, Silva is most likely the biggest pansy you'll ever see. He's feminine to the point where it's easy to confuse him for a girl, and dresses in flowing colorful robes.

The words affected Blaze more than they should have, shaking him deeply. What did this guy know about Pokémon? His were proud to fight for him, they lived to battle and win. That is what they were made for, that was what they were trained for. What did this little pansy ass know?
And yet, Blaze found him rather interesting, and though he was still trying to run away, the fire trainer wanted to battle him even more. "Will you stop trying to run away?" he called, Ryuuku making sure the other man wasn't going anywhere. "I carry enough potions to heal your Pokémon up, but I would still like a battle from you. A fair one," he told Silva. "I'm awake anyways, and I am sure your Pokémon would not mind a little spar against a Pokémon of the same level." From one of his pockets, a little golden stone was pulled out.
"This is a stasis stone. Usually reserved for Pokémon masters, I managed to get my hands on one of these. This will even out the battle a bit. We'll see whose method of raising Pokémon turns out to be superior." Silva preaches this loving and equal relationship with his pokemon, and while Blaze adored his own 'mons, he was the one in charge. He was the one giving out the orders. This newbie did not understand the power dynamics between a trainer and his Pokémon. It was not a sign of abuse or control, but of love. He would still crush this trainer. The stone was not going to change a thing.

"Are you daft or something?" He was really losing his patience. "I'm not interested in fighting. Under any conditions." He rolled his eyes.
"Besides, by the look of it, you've had your...uhw-" He took out his pokedex and aimed it at Charizard. "Charizard for quite some time. I only received my Sentret yesterday."
"Now get out of my way or I swear, I'm going to smack you with my mandolin." He growled.

Never had anyone been so insistent about not battling and going away. Really, was battling this bad? What was the boy even doing in Cheyenne, if not to become a trainer? Coordinators in here were a joke. Coordinators in general were a joke. This was just ridiculous.
"The only thing stopping you from leaving is your insistent hold on that shroomish. Let go of it, if you want to leave so badly," he said. "Or else we will be stuck in this stalemate." And Blaze seemed quite serious about it. He had all the time in the world, and with nothing better to do (well he did, but he did not want to really do any of those) and Silva was just this mix between annoyance, frustration, but interesting. He glanced over at his Charizard, sending him a silent message not to let the other trainer go, unless he gave up the wild shroomish.

::Shroomish:: Silva's eyes narrowed as he considered his options. He looked down at Shroomish, who looked back rather nervous. "You trust me, don't you? I protected your life from those Spearow...I'm not going to abandon you now." He spoke quietly. He didn't know Shroomish had lost his dear friend to the wild Spearow, but he guessed something bad had happened to it. Silva took one of his empty pokeballs from his pocket and held it near Shroomish. "Don't worry, it's not scary. You'll be safe." He promised the other.
If Shroomish wasn't wild, Blaze couldn't kill it, right? Hadn't he just said as much? The power of the pokeball protected it from dying then.
It was then that something unexpected happened. Sentret's pokeball acted on his own, the Sentret leaping forth from it. That must have taken quite some will to do. ::sentret:: He stood on his tail protectively in front of Silva. He pointed a clawed finger at Charizard. <<If you beat me up, will you let Silva and Shroomish alone?>> He demanded of Charizard.

It was true, he had been protected thanks to this trainer, and against the rather scary Charizard, he would hate to be left alone. The pokemon furrowed its brow in determination before hitting the little white button, allowing itself to get caught.
You've caught a shroomish! ::shroomish:: Level 5 Gender: Male Met At: Route One @ 5 Abilities: Effect Spore, Poison Heal Attacks: Worry Seed, Absorb, Tackle

Well, it seems like this was the sissy trainer's response. Not that it would have been beneath him to steal the pokemon anyways, but Silva had committed himself to a battle, despite wanting to run away so desperatedly. Then, the Sentret popped out to defend its trainer. Finally! Someone that knew the old traditions! At least the pokemon understood that its job was to protect the trainer, to defend them and to stay loyal to them.
The sentret's question confused the Charizard for a bit. <This is a trainer battle, and you are expected to participate, to defend your trainer's honour. How else are you going to get stronger? How else would you defend him if a wild pokemon attacks him?> asked the lizard. Battles were essential for pokemon to gain strength, and Ryuuku lived to battle. Win or lose, he gained important experience, which constantly helps him become stronger. <We battle to grow stronger so we can help protect our trainers in case anything were to happen.>
Now that the Sentret seemed willing to fight (it came out of its pokeball, didn't it?), Blaze took out a potion and threw it over to Silva. "Heal your pokemon up," he said. "Your pokemon seems willing enough to learn a bit from mine."

Silva carefully pocketed Shroomish's pokeball, letting him rest along with Hoothoot.
He was surprised to find Sentret out and about, defending him. Sentret couldn't help but agree with the Charizard. He looked over at his trainer. How would he protect him against more wild Spearow...or something else? He'd have to be strong, even if Silva wouldn't like him fighting.
Silva caught the potion and bend down, spraying it on Sentret and healing him. Sentret's fur gleamed healthy again. Outing a strong "SEN! Sentret!" He dashed forward, a determent glance in his eyes. ::sentret:: [[Sentret used Foresight! It took aim at Charizard!]]

"Ryuu!" he called out, lobbing the stasis stone at the Charizard. The Pokémon took flight to catch it in its maw, suddenly feelings his power being seeped out. Ryuuku growled. He was not used to feeling this weak. Last time he was like this, he had been a charmander!
Blaze knew that his level advantage had gone out of the door. This would be good practice against stronger pokemon, at least. He could not always depend on the fact his Pokémon were higher levelled.
"Stay a bit higher, out of reach," he told his Pokémon. "Dragon Pulse."
The winged Pokémon flew a bit higher, though the tree canopy made it difficult navigate and to go too high. Then, filtered through the stone, came the attack. Ryuuku seemed frustrated with the tiny pulse that seemed to come out, as opposed to a devestating ring of destruction. However, it will do for now. He was determined not to let a little Pokémon that probably never battled in its lifetime beat him.
"You might not understand, and you might find this cruel, but it would be worse if you never allowed your Pokémon to fight for you," said Blaze. "Just as you are obliged to protect and cherish a Pokémon you catch, they have an obligation to protect you in return."

Sentret had one advantage above Charizard. He was small. Adding the fact that he was fast and agile, he managed to dodge the Dragon Pulse. Really, from such a far distance, Sentret saw the pulse coming easily.
Silva gasped as Sentret hid in the cover of the woods. The little scout scooted along the bark of the tree, climbing as high as he could without betraying his position to the enemy. Then he used his tail to propellor himself upwards towards the Charizard. His sharp claws ready to strike at the much larger dragon.

With Ryuuku in the air, unless he was against another flying, this was something he had seen just so many times, but they seldom think of the aftermath of the attack. Sure, whatever the sentret was doing was probably going to hit, but after that, it'd be helpless, in the air, without any cover.
The trainer noted that Silva was giving no commands to his pokemon. Wimp. Well, sooner or later, he was going to realize that pokemon fought, and they fought even better with a trainer to guide them. "Fire Fang," ordered Blaze when he saw the sentret jump out to attack the Charizard. The pokemon winced a bit at the attack, sharp claws scratching at its hide, but Ryuuku wasted no time before countering, fangs glowing read and getting ready to take a solid bite on the normal type.

He was glad that his Charizard actually had the stone on him, or else it would not have looked pretty. The trainer glanced over to the other trainer. Really? His precious pokemon, and no reaction? Well, Silva obviously did not care for Pokémon as much as he claimed.
"So tell me, how are you going to compete in contests if you refuse to battle?" asked the fire trainer, baiting Silva to actually help his Pokémon out a bit. He felt bad for the sentret, not because it was going against Ryuuku, but because he had to go in this alone. "Are you also going to throw your untrained Pokémon against the contest master and hope that it doesn't lose?"
To own a pokemon, to travel through Cheyenne, and not want to battle. This was the guy's first day? Well, he wouldn't last a week, Blaze bet. But until then, he wanted to see some anger, some resolve, and some actual fire in the poor excuse of a man.
"Dragon Pulse," he ordered his Pokémon. "Drop and attack." The Charizard, defense lowered a bit by the leer, let the sentret go before charging up a dragon pulse, inhaling deeply before releasing another air pulse, infused with the energy of ancient dragons.

Silva growled. What the hell did he know about battling!? He didn't even know his pokemons attacks!
So right when he was insulted AGAIN, he paced up to Blaze, who was too busy ordering his pokemon on, and came at him with a clenched fist, taking out all his anger and frustration on this guy in one big blow to the head. "SHUT UP! You don't know anything!" He raged in added fury. Even Silva could be pushed too far.
And then, Sentret was hit. And again. He dropped down to the floor and fell down in the grass. Knocked out. Hurt. And utterly destroyed. He didn't have a chance. Not even if Silva had helped him.

So there was emotion and anger in the boy. In fact, he hadn't quite expected the punch which landed squarely on his face. That kind of hurt, and it would probably be sore for a bit. But that did not change much. It had taken him way too long before he had gotten angry, before he reacted. He was still a poor excuse for a trainer. His Pokémon lost so easily, easier than it ever should have. Obvously, the Sentret wasn't going to get any stronger with this guy.
"You know, I said I'd leave you alone after this, but I cannot under clear conscience leave this guy with you," said Blaze as his Pokémon landed next to the fainted body of the sentret. It would live, but it would never fulfill its potential if it was stuck with a trainer that did not battle. "If you want it back, show me you can fight once you get to the city. You won't be able to miss it," he continued, with a evil grin, his cheek hurting from the motion.

Silva cried out as his defeated Sentret was taken away. He cursed a number of foul words and things at Blaze, but it was no use. Eventually, he dropped down on his knees and curled himself into a ball, tears rolling down his cheeks. He was a failure. He had failed his family, himself and his pokemon. He had wanted to become friends with Sentret. He hadn't even managed to protect him for 24 hours.
He considered going home. Ending everything. It seemed like a good idea.
But then, wouldn't they kill Sentret? Most likely. He lay shivering in the wet grass for at least an hour till he could get himself together enough to sit up. Learn to fight? With Hoothoot and his newly caught Shroomish? This agression and fighting would only lead to more pain and suffering.
He had to get Sentret back. But would he be prepared to risk the safety of his pokemon when the time came? Silva was scared, but he stood up and started moving. He had to get stronger, or he would never be able to face Blaze. OOC: I think I need to get a few more random encounters...because I only have two pokemon who never won a fight before and shroomish who never fought at all...
