Maria nodded and smiled. Listening to the Teddiursa's conditions. They weren't that big of a deal and it would be nice to have someone to talk to when she was traveling. A permanent Pokémon to walk outside with her, she pulled out an empty Pokeball and held it out for the Teddiursa. "Here all you have to do is push the button here. Then after it clicks you can come right back out, I'll even hold Teddy for you okay? After all I've gotta get used to helping you take care of him right?" Cossette floated over to watch what was happening more closely, sitting on her trainers head like some sort of absurd hat. ::petilil:: Watching ::Treecko:: Resting in Pokeball ::Spearow:: Seething in Pokeball Offered the Pokeball to the Teddiursa. The Teddiursa walked over to Maria and hugged her. <Yay for a new friend!> he said as he handed her his teddy bear. <Hold on to this for right now, okay?> he added as he pushed the button on the pokeball. The Teddy Bear pokemon got absorbed into the pokeball, as it began to shake lightly. After three shakes, the pokeball stood to rest. He waited patiently for the trainer to keep her word and to let him out. ::Teddiursa:: Name: You decide Gender: Male Level: 7 Ability: Pickup / Quick Feet Attacks: Covet, Scratch, Lick, Leer, Fake Tears

Maria smiled and picked the Pokeball up from the ground, pressing the button to release the Pokemon from inside. She had made a promise and intended to keep it. After all where would people be if they didn't keep promises? Looking down at Tyke she handed him back the Teddy bear then pulled her own parasol out of her bag. The rain was still coming down rather heavy and with a Pokemon outside of the Pokeball she didn't want him to get sick. It wad easier to deal with Pokemon, easier to talk to them rather than trying to talk to people, no awkward questions most of the time. "I guess you need a name little guy. How about Tyke, do you like it?" Tyke nodded a smile on his face and a paw in his mouth, suckling honey from it. Somehow Maria had gone from no Pokemon to four in a matter of days. They walked down a slightly less muddy road, on the lookout for anything that might cause them trouble.

::glameow::
"Your outfit is hideous," a pokemon said. Unseen by anyone. She was hidden and hidden well. It was the perfect hiding spot. She would never be found and that was the way the place would stay. "Do you have any sense of fashion," the Glameow said as she walked out from her hiding spot. She glared at the trainer who clearly had no sense in the fashion industry. "You need a serious make over."

Maria shook her green hair a little as she heard the insult come from a bush. Had she really just been insulted by a shrubbery? What would come next? A killer rabbit? That's all she needed today after fighting that nasty Spearow. Both her and Tyke stopped for a moment though, probably a mistake on her part. Suddenly a Glameow walked out of the bush. Maybe it would have been more interesting if the bush has actually been the one talking. Then again it was funny getting fashion advice from a Pokemon that evolved into a Purugly. "Really Glameow, did your mother Purugly teach you what was fashionable?" She regretted the words almost as soon as she said them, Tyke giggled beside her a little though, amused at what his new trainer had said.

The glameow only looked at the trainer, disgusted by the show of bauble on the trainer once more. More importantly, she was insulted by this trainer. Someone as blase as her was not going to take that kind of insult. The cat walked up to the trainer and looked up at her in anger. Her pride was hurt and she was not about to take that by some punk trainer. <What makes you say that, huh? You seem to be the one without a fashion sense.> She then proceeded to look back with her head held up high, feeling superior towards her. Just brought down the thunder

Maria, if she wasn't such a nice person, would have been muttering terrible things under her breath about this particular Glameow. She didn't care for the Pokemon normally and this one was just making her day worse. The rain started to patter down even harder. It would be nice to get out of this rain, or at least get something for being out in it. The only nice Pokemon she had met so far was Tyke, well if you didn't count Cossette. She only had three Pokeballs left and she needed to make them count. >>"Mommy says that Glameow are such sour kitties cause they're pretty till then evolve, then they gotta trade beauty for power. That's why most Glameow usually give terrible fashion advice."<< Tyke smiled up at Maria, pleased with his comments. The trainer patted the Teddiursa on the head and looked at the Glameow. "Besides if you don't have anything nice to say you shouldn't say it at all."

The Glameow gave an offended look at the Teddiursa. She had the BEST fashion sense of all the other Glameows. <You should tell that to your runt of a pokemon.> she retorted in anger. Her tail began twitching with anger. Glameow bet foward and stretched out before returning to a sitting position. <And please, don't try to act like you're above us. You were just saying the same things back not too long ago.> she said, in an ignorant tone. She was getting tired of the trainer's attitude. All Glameow wanted to do was give the trainer a makeover, but instead of getting gratefulness back, she was getting a snobby attitude. ::Glameow:: Angry. Taunting the trainer.

Maria put a hand to her forehead and sighed. This wasn't her, she wasn't this sort of person, rude to others. The fight with the Spearow must have made her a little more fussed than usual. She leaned down apologize. "I'm sorry miss, I know I'm being rude. I had a battle with a Spearow earlier and he was terrible. I guess I was taking my frustrations out on you. I do hope you can forgive us. Tyke is young, he doesn't understand much. Now, if you've forgiven us maybe you can give me a few pointers?" Tyke looked down to the ground, chewing on his paw. His Teddy bear in his other arm.

The Glameow started to walk around Maria, looking for where to start. Once she spotted her hair, she decided to start with it. <Well, for one, you could start with your hair. The color is not something I've seen before, and it's nice. You could try curling it up a little bit.> she said, trying not to sound disgusted with what the trainer was wearing. <And your clothes...That style of dress is not very proper for travelling. It would get dirty and ruined over time. You should find something comfortable and not so formal.> she continued. The trainer DID have a sense of style, but not for walking around so much. It slightly made her feel slightly offended that another of her gender didn't know much about travelling fashion. ::Glameow:: Walking around Maria. Making observations.

Maria nodded, taking in the information like a sponge took in water. During her wandering she hadn't really tried to keep up with fashion trends. Her pale hand tugged at a stray lock of hair. So she should curl it a little? Would that make it easier to win contests with? She really didn't think that there was anything wrong with her clothes. Maybe she was wrong... The Glameow was right though, how she was traveling it wouldn't be practical to wear large skirts and such, not unless she wanted to be an inconvenience to her pokemon while traveling. Maybe she would look into getting some new clothes in the town she was headed for. "Thank you for the advice. You know being a Coordinator I could really use your help with what I should wear and what I shouldn't. Do you think you could maybe come along and help? Or is that too much to ask from you? If you'd like you could be in contests?"

WILD GLAMEOW APPEARED! ::Glameow::
The Glamorous Glameow’s ears twitched as she listened to Maria offer her a place on her team. Her on Maria’s team...? Was this a joke? Wrinkling her nose at the thought of being led by such a... Such a beastly trainer made her hackles rise, but at the same time, she would be treated better than the wild. She wouldn’t offer advice to Trainers to have icky stones kicked at her, or be shooed away without even being heard out. It was rarity to find cats like her around; those who would help to perfect the Trainer. And, besides that, the thought of contests appealed to her. This Trainer wouldn’t get far with such horrid clothing! She couldn’t walk away and let this go unattended to! It was inhumane and it would stay on her mind for weeks!
“Darling, you simply must let me join you,” she said after a while, her tail tip twitching with curiosity as she padded over toward the trainer. “I could give you so much advice, and I’d be the idol – no, the inspiration for all other Pokémon! I’d be so Buoyant, darling! People would admire me for my blithe spirit, and I’d have people so jealous, they would be... They would be bereave with jealousy! I’d wear a collar with diamonds – not those crappy things with a Bauble, and I would be so Blasé of others that my mysterious personality would drive them crazy! I would walk around with my beautiful wide-set vagina, and I’d make others feel like they are merely Virtual Pets, I would be so beautiful! Oh darling, you must take me with you!”
Lolololololol Glameow wants to join you. Throw a Pokeball to capture.
...LOL.

Maria smiled. A little flattery obviously went a long way with this Glameow and as she listened to her quite expensive dreams. Pulling out a Pokeball she tapped the Glameow on the head and watched as she was enveloped into the ball. There wasn't any struggle considering she had asked to come along. The rain was starting to let up at least. Maybe she should try and find a trainer to battle soon? She needed to see how her Pokemon worked together so she could figure out how they would do in contests. There was also the fact that she needed to still name. Mia sounded like a good name. She took Tyke's hand and started to walk some more, shaking her umbrella off, clearing the rain from it. >>How come you let that mean kitty come with us Mommy? Is she gunna be all prissy like that the entire time we have her?<< Maria sighed and shook her head. Surely Mia's attitude would improve once they actually got into a contest.

To think that the Glameow's illustrious dream of being on stage was about to come true. Although the decision of temerity may cost the wild cat pokemon, the chance to sparkle on stage was too much to miss out. It was going to be an epic time. By the time she was finished with the stages at hand, there will be statuesque molds of her everywhere. As the pokeball tapped her head, she closed her eyes, ready for the next stage in her life. Over the horizon Maria could see the first city on her journey, it was just a little bit further. Tyke was still holding on to her hand and Cossette still sitting on her head like an absurd hat. What she really needed to do was get to a Pokemon Center. She guessed that it would be one of her first stops, along with seeing what the contest hall looked like. Maybe she could find someone to take Zhero off her hands. She might even give him away for free to be honest. She didn't want him tormenting Tyke, who was beginning to fall asleep walking. Maria picked him up and started carrying him. At least he didn't weight to much as a Teddiursa.

Down the road, an Oddish and a Seedot were talking. <Oh what a statuesque Pokémon I'lll become...Unlike you.> the Oddish said, putting the Seedot down epically. The Paras could only flinch at the comment, feeling less and less secure with himself. <Uh...um...I'll still be cool when I evolve...> he replied meekly. The Oddish was one of the popular Pokémon around, and he knew that she liked to put others down. The Oddish saw the trainer and walked happily towards her. <Am I not a lovely pokemon, unlike this Seedot?> she said, trying to make herself graceful. The Seedot just waddled over quietly, still upset over the insults. He just awaited to see what the trainer would say. Insulting the Seedot. Asking the trainer if she is pretty. Meekly standing in front of the trainer.

Along the path, Maria saw two Pokemon along the side of the road. She knew that she should just walk away and avoid getting involved but before she could decide she was approached by them and asked to choose which was the better of the two. She was terrible at making choices honestly... She knew a lot about grass types but she didn't really know which were better than the other. An Oddish had two evolutions, both of them from stones while Seedot had one, also from a stone. "Well, I can't really say which is better. Personality is really important you know. If you're nice to someone then they're more likely to like you more. A lot have people different tastes. Personally I like all grass types. I have two on my team and I guess I could always use more. If you're looking to figure out who is better why don't you have a competition by coming with me and seeing who's better once you both fully evolve?" She had two Pokeballs left, might as well put them towards something useful.

The Seedot heard the preposition and he was a bit interested. >You would take me even though I'm not... as awesome?< He asked. He was a bit insecure and feeling accepted by the trainer was a nice confidence booster that he took. He looked happily at Maria and smiled when he saw her. >I would love to come with you and prove my beauty and awesomeness when I evolve... I hope...<The Oddish on the other hand wasn't as aboard with the idea. She quickly spoke back to the trainer in a very condescending tone. >I don't need you! I'd be so much better just by myself. You would only bring me down. Only a loser would want to take this Seedot also, he would be so ugly when he evolves.< She said out loud. She was a bit of a diva it seemed... And she had a terrible personality also. >Who needs personality when you have beauty as great as mine?< She asked smiling. ::Seedot:: Wants to join you
::Oddish:: Diva. Doesn't want to join you

She sighed with relief as she realized that this wasn't going to turn into an all out battle, nor a battle of the wits. The Oddish really didn't seem to be all the intelligent to be honest and the Seedot was a lot cuter than the typical Oddish anyways. They were a bit overrated if you asked Maria. Tyke was fast asleep in her arms as she carefully picked out a Pokeball and held it out for the Seedot. "Alright Seedot, all you have to do is press the button and you'll be off to show everyone just how awesome you are whenever I enter you into the Pokemon Contests. After all, not all Pokemon are cut out for the stage and I suppose Oddish here realizes that she isn't cut out for the big leagues. Glad you are though." That was her final bet at trying to get the Oddish to come along, if not it wouldn't be any skin off her nose. As far as she was concerned she had a lot of Pokemon to train already. After this last bit she was probably going to try and run to the city to avoid more pokemon, unless it was important.

<O-okay!> he said, looking at the trainer holding the ball. He walked closer, but as he was about to tap the button with his head, he stopped to think. It seemed almost statuesque in thought when the Oddish used Absorb on the Seedot, and bumping it out of the way. <Beat it. This is MY trainer.> she said, jealous that the trainer chose the ugly pokemon over her own gorgeous self. For a pokemon that was obsessed with looks, she definitely had temerityThe Seedot stumbled and fell, afraid to get up. Since the Oddish already said so much about him, that he felt like giving up on becoming the trainer's pokemon. <This isn't my day...> he said, sighing before sitting up, to see what was going to happen. ::Oddish:: Used Absorb on Seedot Pushed Seedot out of the way.
::Seedot:: Hit with Absorb and pushed aside. Feeling Down.
