so, i was just thinking of some random thing and I thought of a decently stupid idea! you ready? here we go. I figure for maybe a month or so, we could have a boys versus girls ooc battle. It's kind of like 'who is more active = points' sort of idea. (this can happen before/after/during the tournament)
We/You/I would create a list of things that members can do to gain points. Gaining a level from a mod, rping with someone else, little things like that could give points and after a certain allotted time we could stop and whichever gender wins gets maybe a small prize. And the highest contributor gets something as well?
The good news is that; as long as a member (like myself) creates the thread, I/we/they can do the points and make sure that it's all fine and the admins/mods don't need to do anything.
just a general idea, if people like it enough we can build the points list but, we'll see :s

I like this idea a lot actually because we are probably one of the only boards with a very even distribution (if not heavily female based). It would be a nice competition and a very friendly one also.

why does this bring me back to my days stalking the neopets RP boards?
But it sounds like fun. Make it about gender pride and bragging rights, make it so that new members that just joined can also jump in, and make it fun. Organize it well and don't let it die out 8D
If it's a success and there is a lot of activity, I'm sure good things will happen. If not, then... HEY IT WASN'T MY TIME WASTED.
And tbh you sold be on 'the admins [...] don't need to do anything.'
<3
BUT do we have to participate in the proper team? ;) Because I'm ttly hanging out with the boys And you can't do anything about it.

BOYS VERSUS GIRLS ! First Competition | April 5th, 2011 - April 20th, 2011 Welcome, welcome to the first ever Cheyenne's boys versus girls competition. This little competition is to see whose the better gender when it comes to being active / overall amazing when it comes to both genders. Now, you may ask "how will we tell this?" Well, we have come up with an easy way of telling whose better and this is with how active each gender is. There will be a list of what you can do for points and you can post on this thread in the next three weeks. As a member, you're able to give the points that you make to any gender. However, it's only the winning genders (character-wise) who is able to reap the rewards. Their will be a mvp for each side who will receive something a little special, the rewards are unknown for now and could be nothing. Just participate for the fact of proving the supremacy of your gender!
how it works okay, this is really quite simple. anything you've started from april 1st, 2011 counts for this competition. Did you start hatching an egg on march 31st? Doesn't count. Started a trainer battle on April 1st? Count. That's clear enough, I think. Some of these points are clear enough, but some could use some clarification. I really wanted to stress member/member interaction, so you get five points for finishing a thread with another member (as long as it's longer then one page) and for every finished page you get another three points. If your thread is at four pages, you get 15 points because you haven't fully completed the fourth page for 20 points. You get 5 points for every member battle you participate in and 1 point for every advertisement you point. Any questions? Either pm me and i'll add a F.A.Q or ask on this thread if you have any questions.
F.A.Q Q: May I only participate with one character? A: Of course not, you can participate with all of your characters, you just need to specify which character you gained points with.
Q: Do half-levels count? A: You get 2.5 points for your team if you gained half a level.
Q: Why doesn't trading pokemon count for points? A: I figure, if you trade pokemon you're hardly doing any work. You're just posting to trade, and this can be abused for points. Therefore, no points for trading pokemon. how to gain points: +20 for every egg you hatch. +10 for every level your Pokémon receives per mod battle. +05 for every thread you finish roleplaying with another member. (must be longer than one page) +05 for every Pokémon you catch. +05 for every member battle you participate in. +03 for every page you and another member rp on. +01 for every advertisement you post.

looking at this idea, it is pretty amazing and a brilliant idea. However, i wondered if trading a Pokémon with another member would count as well. Just a suggestion.
Also, for the level points, does it has to be a full level, or half a level?
Well done for the good idea............BOYS FOR THE WIN!!
